Only two criticisms:

The room was far too hot, the heater was turned on full, easily resolved but needless.

The toilet is almost impossible to use, you cant sit on it without your knees touching the shower screen directly in front of you, and need to shuffle round sideways to actually be able to stand.

Otherwise it was a very good experience

All the staff were polite and helpful. The hotel was clean and tidy and a good location. I was concerned it might be a bit far out but it was within walking distance of the attractions we wanted to see and I liked the quiet residential area. We ate in the restaurant and used room service. A bit more variety on the menu would have been good but we enjoyed the food we had. There was a large selection at breakfast and items were topped up regularly. We would definitely stay here again if we were ever back in Oxford. Thank you for a lovely stay.

The shower didn’t get hot and I did flag this to staff who didn’t seem to do anything about it. We also had water leaking into our room, quite noisily during the night, from the windows and pooling on the window sill. However bed was comfortable and hotel was near enough to the centre so overall was fine for the night

We stayed there for a week for a wedding and booked a few other rooms for other guests. We had an upgraded room, they all had older rooms. Even in our upgraded one, you had to sit sideways on the toilet otherwise your knees would bang on the shower glass. When showering, the water collected on the lip of the shower base where it pooled and went all over the bathroom floor. In the room itself, we found it very difficult to control the temperature. There was a radiator we could turn on and off. Even with it off, the bathroom floor (no controls) was heated and the room often got too hot to bear. We would open the windows, but then it would get too cold. The windows were always covered in moisture no matter what we did. The room also had no fridge nor microwave which made staying there challenging. The main common area didn't have a microwave either. All that being said, the upgraded room was nice and it was clean. The cleaning staff did a great job with taking care of the room every day.

Located in a beautiful neighborhood with a pretty garden, but that’s where the positives end. The rooms are tiny and unclean (cobwebs, black mold in the shower). The beds were uneven, so we felt like we were falling out all night, and the bathroom was too small to turn around in. Our card keys stopped working each and every day (not kept with a phone, etc, and two independent card keys) and staff were challenging to get support from. Booking a multi-night stay here was regrettable.

This hotel is comfortable and quiet. About a miles walk from the center of the city, but you have options to walk along the city streets or the Oxford Park paths. Breakfast was good and a decent price and it was nice to have a restaurant on site. The room was very comfortable. It was nice to have a couch in the room that was comfortable and made it easy to get work done. The coffee and tea station was also a nice touch, they refilled with biscuits every day too! We were very comfortable!

We paid for two rooms, one of which was a premium room but the double glazing wasn’t very sound insulating from the outside, the bathroom radiator was disgustingly dirty, at 7am on each of the mornings we were woken by the cleaning cupboard being opened, closed and people taking things to do their job (I appreciate the cleaning staff need to work but surely this can be done without waking the guests). Hotel in a good location and walkable for central Oxford. General condition and staff is good and the room size is comfortable. Room we stayed in had dirty windows and window frames also the toilet faces the glass shower screen and is so close to it your knees touch the glass while sitting. Obviously unless you are very small this makes using the toilet very difficult!.

Check-in was straightforward. Lift was broken for the duration of our stay, and we were on the second floor, so it was a bit of a pain herding 2 children and all our stuff up the stairs. There was an ongoing high pitched alarm-type noise, which made it difficult to sleep. We reported to reception, but they said it was coming from the roof space and there was nothing they could do.

Car park was full when we arrived, but street parking right outside the hotel is free from 6pm to 11am (the hotel charges £10 a night for parking on site).

Room was clean, and we appreciated the fan that was supplied. Breakfast was good, and very much enjoyed by all.

Central Oxford is about a 25 minute walk from the hotel, and buses are frequent, so it was a convenient place for us to stay.

The Room was definitely too hot, extremely hot. No a/c or fans. That was very uncomfortable. With a hotter summer, I will suggest the hotel will need to offer options.

This place needs some tlc. Carpets in my room with black large, Velox carpet needs replacing. Showerhead holder kept falling out. I heard another person staying at this hotel saying the same thing. Buffet breakfast, fried eggs, overcooked mushrooms, out of a tin, just generally substandard.

The room was fine in terms of space, nice bed, nice tv. I stayed here instead of a cheaper hotel up the road as I had an interview the following day and wanted a good nights sleep. Disappointed that there was a lot of creaking floorboard throughout the night that woke me up multiple times. There was also a flickering light in my room and the shower was scalding hot. Bit annoyed as I paid more than what I could have for a subpar experience

While staff were not rude in any way, they didn’t seem interested in helping out with recommendations for what to do and when we had a bit of car trouble they weren’t even able to help with looking up a local mechanic.

Great hotel for easy access ( including walking ) into Oxford . Unusually it is with a residential area surrounded by houses , so is peaceful and quiet . The parking arrangements are a little odd in that you park at the front of the hotel , a dozen spaces here or round the back in another car park , another dozen spaces , but for this privilege you are charged £10 a day . This is because the parking is monitored by an outside company ( possibly to prevent rogue parking 🤔) . Our room (9) was directly off the reception area , therefore very convenient for access to restaurant / bar area , but a little noisy at times with loud guests at the reception desk . The room itself was spacious ( actually a room for disable guests, but we aren’t) . The shower room was huge and the water pressure from the shower was a little painful , as it is so powerful. The room gets completely soaking wet , so you need to put a towel by the door to prevent walking around the room with wet feet . The bed was a little small too , just a standard double 4’6” , but was comfortable enough . There was evidence of damp on one wall near the bed and some damage to the wall opposite the bed . That said it didn’t worry us too much as we kept the windows open as it was so warm . There are a couple of rooms with AC , but most are without . The breakfast in the morning was excellent , as was our evening meal, just be careful near a double window as the floor is sinking ( probably rotten timber) under the vinyl.

The hotel is an easy mile or so walk into the heart of Oxford, and the walk is lovely. They offer vegan sausages on request at breakfast, which is great. The reading lights next to the bed didn’t work, and reception seemed a bit confused; said he would come help and didn’t. Not a huge deal, but it happened.

This hotel is i a perfect location, 15min walk from the centre. Staff were helpful. The only issues were that we had a single duvet on a double bed that i had to ask twice about. We were woken late one night by the phone and very early one morning by the fire alarm.
Overall i would recommend staying here

We had a fantastic stay in Oxford due mainly to the great hospitality we received at the Linton Lodge Hotel. The staff were amazing especially Josh on the front desk, our room was very spacious and spotlessly clean and the food was excellent.

Overall our stay was ok. Pros: the silence at nighttime which allowed a good night sleep, the breakfast was good and transport links to the city center are also good. you can also walk to in 15 to 20 minutes. Cons: our room was on the ground floor but there were still 5 steps to get to our room. Our 4 month old was in her pram so I asked the recepcionist if there was a lift or another way to access the room. She replied to just go straight, which led me to the stairs. It was really hard to carry the pram up and down those stairs. Would have been better to have had a different room with better access. Another not so good point was, the day we arrived it was late and we asked if the restaurant was open and the wait for food was 50min to an hour which wasn't great. We ended up getting a pizza delivered via Uber eats and ate it in the room. Wasn't very comfortable but was the only option at 9pm with a baby.
Other than that, the stay overall was value for money.

Clean, Basic Affordable Lodging in the Oxford Area

Pleasant hotel in a quiet area with helpful staff. It's a very straightforward experience with not many amenities -- no hotel transportation, laundry service, refrigerators or microwave, for example. However, the staff were helpful with what the hotel did offer, and the breakfast was lovely. It's a quiet town that closes early, but they do have room service and a restaurant/lounge that offers some late night menu items. The cleaning staff was thorough and worked around my schedule, as I spent a lot of time in the room.

The facilities do need updating -- a few lights flickered, the carpet was wavy in some places. However, given the price was more affordable than most other lodging in the Oxford area, I was comfortable and content.

This is a walk of about a mile to the centre of Oxford. Its location isn't ideal but the hotel more than makes up for this with immaculate presentation and early breakfast starting at 06:30 which is presented in buffet style and had everything I needed. The bar option is great too for a quiet drink after long days walking in Oxford. Highly recommend this hotel. I would stay here again but for the location: I'll probably opt for something more central next time although there are copious electric scooter and bus options too

Easy 20-30 mins walk into Oxford city. Parking fees covers from 3pm to 11am the next morning.

Staff who helped us to check in was kind of rude. He was speaking too fast and when we asked for clarifications, his tone changed, as though we couldn’t understand English. We are from a first world English speaking country, just not UK.
