Room was exactly as described. Very clean and the included breakfast was a delight! The room had tea, coffee and even snacks waiting for us. Close to the Trout pub for an amazing meal and right by the river.

Only downside was the shower is a bit cramped for tall people, with a small step to get in. Not an issue for us, we bent down but some might have an issue.

Great stay and very pleased with the price.

This was the perfect spot to stay in Oxford. Staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. The breakfast was large and good. And free parking was a huge plus. The transit was very close and easy to get to city Centre; Just a few minutes. Cost of parking in the city is high, so this was an excellent choice. We’d definitely recommend.

I was blown away by this hotel. Booked the 3 bed room, not expecting acting much, but it was roomy, comfy, clean.

Met by a very friendly chap who booked us in, room was spacious, clean, the bathroom was larger than expected and had plenty of towels, stocked with handwash & shower gel.
Plenty of tea & coffee, bottles of water also.
Bed was very comfortable, had a room at the rear so overlooked a very well kept garden (even in the winter),
There was plenty of parking spaces
Breakfast was a plenty served in a room that was bright, clean overlooking the garden also.
I would stay here again.

Breakfast was a real standout, really amazing full English and great selection of cereals, fruit, yoghurts, pastries etc. All really well cooked with good ingredients - unlike so many hotels. We truly enjoyed our stay!The hotel's location is quite convenient: a 40-minute walk to the city center, but you can also take the bus, which stops right outside the hotel. The breakfast is beyond praise, fresh and delicious. The room and bathroom are beautifully renovated, and the bed was very comfortable. Absolutely lovely place!

One of weakest showers I have had this decade - truly pathetic. Such hard pillows I got neck ache, and a terribly hot room that wasn't any better even after the radiators were off. Couldn't open the windows while sleeping as the noise from the Banbury Road was too much. Was a very uncomfortable sleep therefore, and sleeping is why we go to a hotel after all.
The pluses are that the staff were friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was ok.
I have little idea why this is a 4 star hotel.

DO NOT stay at this hotel. As always, we place do not disturb on our door during all our stays. We prefer housekeeping to not come in.
The day we checked in and the following, my husband and I were out sightseeing until late into the evenings. On the 3rd morning, my husband went out alone. I stayed back, working quietly on my laptop on the bed. Late morning, I hear noise at our door. A man came walking in. No knock, no announcement, nothing. The look on his face when he saw me was something. Since there hadn’t been a single noise from our room and we had also missed breakfast that morning, they assumed we were gone. I asked him what he was doing in our room. He said housekeeping. I told him no way and there’s a sign on our door and I didn’t believe him. He had a cleaning bottle in his hand but nothing else. No other products or equipment. His cart was down on the 2nd floor & we were on the 3rd. I said if he was truly entering to clean, he would’ve knocked or announced housekeeping as he entered. I believe he came in for another reason. Management spoke to employee & we got apology
The pictures are misleading. The large pretty yard/garden is not on this property. While the bed and linens were clean, the rooms are old & in disrepair. The carpet was stained & torn. Bathroom tiles cracked. No ventilation in the bathroom so steams up & remains so for long period.
We had room on 3rd floor with sloped ceilings. I’m 5’7” and hit my head a few times in the shower and by the bedside.

This is not a four star hotel but just a bed and breakfast. The rooms are ok but don’t expect luxury. If one can ignore the plastic shower fittings, the toilet paper dispenser and the noisy bathroom extractor, the rest is ok. It is far from the centre of Oxford. The breakfast is big but of very poor quality. Also, it is expensive for the price on Expedia. Possibly one can pay much less if books on the hotel website.

Hotel it self is absolutely fine, I’ve stayed there a few times in the past, but this time I was in room 10, which unfortunately is above the main entrance, the noise was constantly loud until after midnight, which meant that I was extremely tired when I went for breakfast and work, and had a long drive after that, Bobby on reception to inform, so won’t be staying again

Avoid the upper floor and Room 20.

The direction to our room took us up a narrow stairs. The walls were badly marked and the carpet hadn’t been introduced to the vacuum for some time.

The room carpet was stained, and the piece of carpet in the window alcove was separated from the rest by a margin. The curtains were flimsy and didn’t contribute to excluding street light or vehicle noise.

The bathroom was a lab for black mould on the wood frame of the velux window. It was decorated with a cobwebs. The floor had cracked tiles. The overhead shower in the bath worked well for the one of us who was 5’2” but not so good for the other one.

We had really wanted to abandon ship but we had some urgent things to do that afternoon and early the day after so doing so wasn’t really an option.

Avoided breakfast. A bit greasy.

We chose this place because it was close to where we needed to be, it had four stars and a good rating. Really!

We were extremely surprised that this hotel is considered a 4-star hotel at all. The room given to us definitely needed some deep cleaning and upgrading to meet the 4-star bar: the shower head was leaking and spraying water upwards, paint was peeling, the caulk was turning black in the bathroom, there were stains on the toilet bowl, and dust was accumulating in less-used parts of the room.

On the plus side, the staff was definitely very friendly and helpful.

Small bed but comfortable,easy access to Oxford either walking 45 minutes or bus 10 minutes regular service. Unfortunately we had a room at the front of the building and there was constant traffic noise no air conditioning so had to open windows. No blind in bathroom which overlooked the main road. Looked clean but on further examination lots of dust in corners skirting boards,corridors full of dust and needs redecoration. Now the positives breakfast room well decorated and light breakfast excellent full English,fruit yoghurts and cereal and cheese available friendly efficient staff. Onsite parking okay. Nice garden with patio and furniture could do with a little tidy up.

Our stay at The Remont

The welcome and staff were helpful and friendly. The breakfast was good a choice of hot and cold food.
The room was in need of decorating, grubby walls and paintwork, the bathroom wasn’t as clean as I would like, hairs on the window sill and in the shower tray.
The bed was extremely clean and comfortable and we slept well.
Towels provided were lovely and soft.
Tea and coffee and 2 bottles of water and biscuits were provided, a suitcase stand and small wardrobe.
I think it’s a good budget hotel for an overnight stay and they also provide free parking which is always helpful.
The staff member was extremely friendly.

The staff were lovely. The room was nothing special. It is not a four star hotel standard - no air con, kettle that did not have a long enough lead to be used on the dressing table. However the bed was comfortable. Breakfast was nice and there was a garden area to sit. The staff were helpful about letting us leave the car there before check-in. The location suited us - good for Oxford and for getting to Blenheim

Wouldn't say 4*, more like a 2/3*. A bit tired. Walks need a paint. Booked a superior room which was on the top floor, no sign of a lift. Bed was firm, I prefer softer. Same with the pillows. Air con good, tea/coffee facilities in room were very basic. Nescafé coffee and PG tips are the worst options in my opinion. Curtains are not blackout, woken up by the sunshine every morning at 5am. Breakfast was not bad, good full English although it's got to be Heinz ketchup or HP brown sauce, not the tangy stuff they give you. Staff were very friendly. Free parking is great. Overall it was ok but I won't be returning. To many negatives for me.

The hotel was a typical European hotel with small rooms. The staff was excellent and helped us get to all the places we had planned to visit. There is a bus stop very close to the hotel which made it easy to get around. We don’t spend much time in our hotel room so the room is really not our main focus. The hotel is very clean and comfortable.

10 minute drive from the city centre. Staff very nice and helpful. Rooms are spacious and clean, there is no lift for the upper floor but it is only 2 floors. The breakfast buffet is a good choice of cooked or cereal, shame there isnt any evening meal facility.
I personally wouldnt have thought the hotel was 4 star, as many other 4 star places I have stayed at have more facilites.
Overall, a nice stay.
