So paying for a room isnt enough you got to chip in extra for parking. Not mentioned in advert, only highlighted when i checked in. Staff did help but its a touch nefarious to ask for extra money upon arrival.
Stayed here few times over the past few years and it is a good hotel, hence being a repeat customer.

Maybe wont again as I dont like being ambushed with additional costs.

Very clean on general terms. However, the stained carpet could be cleaned. Also, shower cubicles are more comfortable for clients, bathtubs are very passe. Shower device should be also upgraded.

We enjoyed this as a family and booked it for the restaurant & facilities. The room was a family room large and well maintained. The pool was fantastic and the children had a great time. It’s a members club so expect to have to book a slot and be removed after 30 minutes on busy days. The time limitation wasn’t expected, along with the members priority over guests. But that’s for rules. You can’t book in longer just come back and hop you can get in. The reception is hit and miss, we must have had the wrong shifts of a grumpy, sharp direct lady who was dealing with car park complaints for charges for people attending courses. They weren’t happy and we were tarnished with the same contempt. The restaurant was affirmatively closed with a direct toy can eat from the bar menu. We went out taxi to the city was easy and our money welcomely accepted. We like to eat well as a family for 4 so that’s £700 thr hotel didn’t receive from us. Over all it’s an on the day hotel as the 4 star not 3 star was the rescue package of the second days FOH team and the first days leisure team. Bar team learn your drinks - a menu card look up for a GnT doesn’t swing it in a hotel of your “quality”. Do depending on what your going for, we had the added bonus of the builders outside our window on the Monday morning to make sure that we had left nice and early. Shame this could be a great hotel - like before at Jury’s Inn. Take this hotel for what it is a convenient stop off

Other than one hair in the bathroom which belonged to none of us (family of 3), it was exactly what we needed - a clean room, great breakfast, super helpful and friendly staff.

I take away one point for the parking charge. So annoying, it’s not in a location where anyone would walk with their backpack…

Well i think the pool did blow my mind by how warm it was. I think having to pay for parking and breakfast was unexpected. The showerhead in the room needed descaling as the water didn’t come out much and the kids doughball starters in my opinion are far too big and too much bread for a child I would suggest 4 or 6 much smaller balls.

We recently stayed at this hotel with our family of four, and it was an excellent choice. The facility has a genuine premium feel and truly deserves its four-star rating. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, making us feel genuinely welcomed throughout our stay. The beds were incredibly comfortable, and we all slept wonderfully, which made a real difference to our trip.

While the swimming pool was on the smaller side, it was perfectly adequate and never felt crowded. The gym facility was excellent and well-equipped. The location is fantastic – close to the city center with great bus connections, making it easy to explore while still feeling like a peaceful retreat.

We’re highly recommending this hotel. It strikes a wonderful balance between quality facilities and genuine hospitality. We were very happy with our stay and would definitely return.

We arrived early and were able to leave our bags - very helpful. We were staying with another family and were assured we would have rooms next to each other. When we returned, nope...

After a LOT of toing`and frying (3 people at one computer at the front desk!), rooms were found (thank you). The rooms were fine - large and clean. But, a family room with one towel and one bottle of water seems very under-equipped!

Parking listed at GBP6 was GBP8 (vendor change), swimming pool (part of the reason we booked this hotel) was closed. We were given courtesy drinks (thank you) but then had to negotiate with the barman what they could be used for.

The hotel is fine, but the unifying factor was the staff's lack of warmth or engagement.

We had our Christmas party here last night. We could not fault anything, staff were fantastic, along with the food and DJ, nothing was a problem.
Room was great and check in was busy, but liked the way somebody walked the queue to offer tea and coffee.

Stood waiting 40 minutes to check in, got to desk and was told that their system had gone down earlier in the day and had only just recently started working again. Was then told because of this that they didn’t know who had booked and in all likelihood we wouldn’t get a room. At no point did any of the incompetent staff tell the people in the queue what was going on. Had to find another hotel to stay in, which on a Saturday evening we were extremely fortunate to find. In no way would we ever attempt to stop at this hotel again.

I have stayed at this hotel on several occasions and have generally been very satisfied with the rooms allocated to me. Unfortunately, my most recent stay was a significant disappointment.

The room itself was uncomfortably small, leaving hardly any space to move around. The bathroom was in poor condition: the floor tiles were cracked, much of the grouting had worn away, and black dirt had accumulated in the gaps. The bathtub appeared damaged, with white tape applied to conceal flaws. This tape has clearly been in place for a long time, as it is now peeling away. Additionally, dirt had built up along the top of the bath panel, giving the impression of neglect.

Overall, the condition of the room and bathroom made the stay unpleasant. I feel that the price I paid did not reflect the quality provided, and I expected far better given my previous positive experiences at this hotel.

Breakfast choices were great. Nespresso machine in the room. Swimming pool was nice to have but very small. Could only fit 3 people in the sauna and steam room. They regulated this by a 30min slot booking system. Didn't like the frosted glass doors on the bathrooms in the rooms, looked great but not practical. If someone got up in the night to use the bathroom, they couldnt put the light on as it would flood the bedroom with light it was that bright! Overall a good stay, staff were friendly and helpful and we enjoyed our 2 night stay in oxford.

Location of the hotel was brilliant as easy to access Oxford city centre. Hotel is big and spacious, and the breakfast was great. A really good selection of food, lots of healthy options and the quality of the food was really good. My fussy kids really enjoyed it. The downside for us, was the issue with the boiler which meant a lot of rooms didn’t have hot water. We were using the pool anyway (which is lovely and warm) but we had to use the showers in the leisure centre. Our room also had a leak coming from somewhere as the carpet by the front door and outside of the bathroom had pools of water growing whilst we were there.

We were a family of 3 adults with our 23 yo son staying for one night. The reception looked nice when we popped in to check we could park, but I soon noticed a few things that weren’t as premium as I’d hoped.

We had a tiny room and even toner bathroom with an opaque door which was no good for us as a family of adults! There was a really strong smell of urine in the corridors on the approach to our room on the second floor which was awful.

The pool closes at 7 so we had to rush to fit in a swim before dinner and it was tiny and needed a good clean.

Our room was opposite a function suite or similar with really loud music. Luckily we don’t go to bed early so it didn’t stop us trying to sleep but was annoying to listen to and could have been loud for a daily with little ones. The sound proofing of the room was shocking and we could hear the conversations of the neighbours and outside in the corridor.

The property is easy to get around and very bright and welcoming. The staff are excellent , always willing to help. The room I was given was very comfortable but the only downside was the bathroom . Myself and my husband found it difficult to get in and out of the bath to use the shower!
