Room was clean but there was alot of cobwebs swinging from the ceiling. Water struggled to drain when showering so ended up standing ankle deep in water after washing. Bed was comfy, breakfast was enjoyable. Handy for the hospital.

The room was fine, it was clean but a little dated. The beds (2 singles) though were very uncomfortable. One had the springs poking through. On asking for a mattress topper or a different mattress, the response was that this was not possible. Mattress toppers were later added but why indicate this is not possible when it is? We were cold on the first night and requested a blanket. We were informed that the hotel did not have any blankets! After considering moving hotel we were given a second duvet each which did the job.

Fast check in, clean room, friendly and helpful staff. It's not the fanciest hotel in the world, but it isn't claiming to be. Good range of tea/coffee in the room, comfy bed, and easy to use air conditioning in the room. Walking distance to a small town centre with lots of food options, and literally next door to a petrol station if you just wanted a snack. Would definitely stay again.

Was hit with a £15 a night fee on arrival for bringing my dog even though that wasn't listed anywhere on Expedia, and trying to find it on their website I could only see the fee once you start booking a room. Clearly needs to be listed better for clarity.
The stay was fine, nothing special, the only thing I was concerned with outside of the fee is they give you two tiny shower gel/shampoo pouches that really weren't enough to cover my hair let alone my whole body.

A lovely country house hotel with a few issues.
A lovely country house hotel on the outskirts of Haywards Heath ( we walked into town a number of times in 20 minutes or so ) The building and decor are in great condition with lots of character remaining. Our room was spacious and very comfortable as well as very well equipped. The room was serviced daily with fresh consumables including water and biscuits. The bathroom was fairly modern and light and airy. The bar and bistro area look to have been recently refurbed in a fairly modern style and there is outdoor seating too. We only had breakfasts at the hotel but found the food to be well cooked and presented and very enjoyable. We had a few niggles and these may be down to low staffing levels, firstly although our room was generally lovely, cleaning was lacking. Most of the hard surfaces had a thick layer of dust and there was quite a lot of cobwebs and spiders around the ceiling, windows and even in the bathroom. Service at the bar and even at Reception was sometimes lacking too.
This said, we really enjoyed our stay and may well return one day.

Bathroom was suprisingly large, modern, and extremely clean. The shower was a walking with actual room to swing the proverbial cat, a powerfull shower that was straight forward to use, and one that can be held to rince the places fixed showers cant reach unless you hand stand. Wifi was free, easy to connect and fast enough to stream a film without freezing up.
After stopping at a dozen hotels this year so far around the UK, i can honestly say, this provided the best nights sleep mile a mile.
Id like to say a big thank you to all the staff here from the Reception team, to the housekeeping staff, a very big thank you for making my stay such a good one leaving me refreashed for the day ahead at the South of England Show Ground just up the road.

Nice rooms, modern renovations and has everything needed inside rooms.
Luggage was carried up to room for me as staircases are quite narrow, but it's part of the old character of hotel and beautifully maintained.

During check in we were informed there was no Restaurant service although we had chosen this Hotel as it had Restaurant facilities and the listed menu suited our tastes.
We attempted to get clarification of when the the Restaurant would open and it was suggested not during our 4 night stay. As can been from the attached photo only soup and sandwiches could be offered for Dinner although it was noticeable functions were catered for during our stay.
We were disappointed that reception would not provide any guidance of alternative places to obtain dinner in the area. We were therefore required to look for ourselves in a unfamiliar area.
Reading reviews this does not appear to be a one off experience so beware of what is offered.

Property is in a lovely location, however.., bath plug - release mechanism is faulty so unable to drain bath, air-con - sounds like a helicopter gunship, also currently no chef on site so they are unable to serve evening meals.

Clean towels were left on floors outside rooms by cleaners whilst servicing rooms. Pleased I didn’t see this before using them! First time I’ve been asked by a cleaner if I’m leaving so that they can service my room. Normally cleaners have this information. Staff could be a little friendlier in certain areas. Breakfast ok.

First time staying here with my wife and her assistance dog. The staff were excellent from the moment we arrived, putting my wife at ease and respecting that the dog was working.

Although the staff were quite lovely, they have an uphill battle to fight in order to make the hotel a place anyone would want to stay. I was there for five nights; the restaurant was NEVER open; the bar food was substandard at best and one night I had to wait 50 minutes for bar food...and I was the only person there! Then it arrived stone cold. The room was tiny. They provided one small bar of soap for FIVE nights. Only the instant coffee was replenished. I would never recommend this place.
