We stayed one night, the car park is free and is located behind the Crawley's High Street.
The price was quite low for a well-known brand like Ramada, but the hotel looks a little bit unmaintained and the fact that we didn't had hot water at all made us not being too surprised about it.

Well situated for high street and transport links. Lots of drinking and dining options very close. Room was cold no central heating so additional electric heater needed. A fairly historic looking building so rooms are not that modern but a bit of character. Surprisingly quiet given position on high street. Bit irritating to find front doors shut on arrival c 3.30 and took two calls to get someone to let me in to check in. Also no one on desk to check out.

Reception staff were friendly and helpful but.....No hot water in the morning. was told that the boiler had tripped and this was rectified, too late however as we were booking out and on a schedule. Also no breakfast available at the hotel we had to go out.

Hotel room for the most part was okay, the bathroom was very dated with lots of black mould on the bath sealant. The shower curtain is hung in a straight rail which makes it very difficult to shower without it wrapping around you. There are only paper cups for the tea and coffee and after one use they are badly stained and don’t wash for a second use.

We were up four flights of stairs, along several corridors. No lifts, no one to help carry our very heavy suitcase. When they state Restaurant closed due to Covid, they literally mean permanently closed - as in empty. No food or drinks available at all in the hotel. Room very hot, water cold. Shocked that this is a Ramada Hotel.

Run down, dirty hotel with corridors smelling of weed smoke. Very shady hotel. Stayed in Sussex building room 163. Carpet old and dirty, bathroom full of mold, water in shower only a trickle. Did not sleep because was uncomfortable about the cleaness of the room and was out of there at 6 a.m. Can't believe this is a chain hotel.

Rooms do not have air-conditioning and only a basic fan to counter the heat coming through the window due to direct sunlight. Leaving the window open is the only way to bring fresh air in to the room.
The hotel do not stock any bottled water and the concierge directed me across the street to a take-away outlet.

Ideal location for Gatwick. As we would normally stay at Gatwick and then travel for food and some drinks. This is ideal location for bars and restaurants(there are plenty) it’s a tired property but the prices reflect this so don’t expect savoy rooms on a little budget.

Was in crawley for a night out with friends, rather than worry about getting a cab home i chose to stay. Perfect hotel, perfect location, right on the high street, all bars and resturants on the door step, ample parking, wouldnt hesitate to book again.

Having asked specifically for a room with a bath, I was disappointed to find that the hot tap on the bath didn't work, so was unable to take a bath.
Also being at the back of the hotel on the edge of the carpark it was very noisy until the early hours!

The room itself was good, small but practical and comfortable so no complaints. Due to being an old building everything creeks so quite noisy.
However the noise outside was ridiculous from 6am - lorries reversing and sounds like cages being moved, a car wash so vehicles coming and going and people talking loudly!! Got woken at 6am so not impressed! For this reason I wouldn’t stay again!!

Very dated, reception was weird. No greeting it’s 7 in the morning and I am writing this email. Not happy at all. Can hear outside noises. Shower is poor and cold water. Something outside keeps making noises and very annoying. Too many noises around the hotel. This very historic and quaint hotel is perfect for any holiday stay. It was my second visit. Close enough to London to easily sight see but quiet, clean, affordable and safe. Just a hop to Gatwick if you need to be near airport. The staff are friendly and take great care of all. Excellent venue!

The hotel mixes the super old heritage building and some newer features. The interior feels slightly outdated but it has been clean and perfect for a night before the flight. There are plenty of restaurants and pubs within 5 minutes walk.

The whole hotel is falling apart - heavily stained carpets, mismatched furniture, tiny little cheapest possible television with 4 channels none of which got a signal, no power sockets anywhere near the bed (nearest was 12 foot away!), bathroom full of mould, no Wi-fi signal in the room, cheapest possible tea and coffee.
A signficant portion of the guests are placed there by the council apparently so it’s more of a halfway house than a hotel.

Extremely noisy until the early hours of the morning- the music from some kind of function permiated the entire hotel and slamming doors and shouting continued for hours after midnight. Strange smells throughout the different corridors of a poorly maintained and tired building. Breakfast was poor quality. Room was ok and staff polite but, in honesty, I’d only ever stay there again if I had to.

The rooms were spacious and clean. The beds were very comfortable and plenty of pillows were provided. The hotel seems well kept. The breakfast was well stocked. Check in was easy. Would definitely recommend and even stay there again next time we pass through Ocala. The only reason I did not give 5 stars is upon check-out, there was no one at the front desk at 9am. I stood there for well over 5 minutes even calling out \"hello?\" before a cleaning lady saw me. It took a minute or 2 before the front desk person was found outside on a break.

The hotel , does its purpose as it local to amenities, I have stayed quiet a few times, my visit was for two nights, but stayed 3, as soon as I arrived I obtained a bad chest infection, I did ring down to reception 5 times with no response to call,as I felt unwell, next morning I went to reception to to say that I did ring down with no answer, the receptionist said its always manned 24 hours a day, I did say I did ring down numerous times , anyway, its a hotel which is convenient to town, my latest venture was ruined due to illness, I did tell person serving at reception, that I've got bad chest infection,/flu, but went totally over his head, pen in room never worked, I find the prices should be fixed one night £73, than when short of rooms they rise to £126 a night, I hope that this statement will help in any way and will always be available for any further information.Mark Coppen

The property is an old Victorian style building and can be a little off putting, for anyone that has not stayed there before, finding their way around. However the staff are very willing to assist and navigate through the corridors.
The hotel has a pub and a Thai restaurant attached, plus it is in the middle of town and a very very short walk to a variety of other pubs & restaurants.

I stayed overnight on business and it was fine. Old Hotel with lots of interesting character but rather tired and in need of a makeover. I stayed in the main building. There is an annex which did not look too special. Free parking around the back which can get a bit tight with vans.
Cannot comment on the food as I did not eat in the Hotel. Lots of places in the Town Center, which like the Hotel, needs a make over.

Had alot of potential to be a nice hotel, our bath plug was blocked, tried to call reception from the rooms phone but this was also broken so had to call from my mobile.
instead of moving us to another room, he sent up a maintenance man(definitely not a qualified one) so we had to sit and wait for 35 minutes listening him plunger the bath and then he left all the dirt he pulled out with the plunger in the bottom of the bath for us to get rid of.
This then made us miss our dinner reservations and be late to meet friends.
Had a good night sleep as the beds are fairly decent, we went down for breakfast this was also a disappointing experience as most of it tasted like it was cooked the night before and the premade scrambled eggs were undercooked and looked like a soup, bacon was slimy and rubbery and all poorly cooked, no staff around to tell this too and they seated us and then left, luckily Morrisons down the road does an good breakfast and we went there instead.
When we checked out we told him all this and his reply was there's not alot I can do.
Such a disappointing start to our weekend away.

Great location, plenty of places to eat and close to the main shopping centre. Hotel would benefit from a freshen up but all in all a pleasant hotel. The room was a good size, bed was comfy. A downside were the curtains they were so thin and didn't block out any light whatsoever. Great base for contractors and the huge car park is a bonus (although be aware its shared with a hand car wash which can be noisy). Have already booked to return next week.

I stay in lots of hotels but can honestly say that this one is up there with the grubbiest. First impressions of the room in the “Surrey Wing” which is passed the bins in an annex building were ok. The bedroom seemed nice at first until I looked in the bathroom which was very dirty and unhygienic. Multiple repairs to old fittings and walls using silicon and the sink was absolutely disgusting. Please see my photos of the sink and shower valve which you have to touch to operate, eughh!

I chose this lodging for its proximity to the Gatwick airport. I was expecting a run-of-the-mill chain hotel. We were pleasantly surprised at the historicness (?) of the building. There was a few fun pubs within walking distance and a convenient car park. The beds need to be upgraded (they were a bit squishy) but everything else was fine. Great breakfast.

Heater would not turn off. During the night, the room got suffocatingly hot. Opened window to cool off and smelled someone having their smoke break, and also starting around 5am, heard trucks and glass bottles repeatedly being loudly dumped in the bin across the way.
Shower dripped ALL night. Had to put a towel in the tub to muffle the sound.

On arrival the car park full badly park trade vans, so there no spaces available had to park in adjacent business car park, reception was efficient and welcoming, room was comfortable, in late evening we were disturb a few times by bottle begin emptied into bins,

This hotel is quite shabby and the rooms are very, very basic, noisy and poorly equipped. The 'free' car-park is a mess with no marked parking bays and full of commercial vehicles that have no connection to the hotel.
The location is good as is the breakfast and the staff are friendly but this hotel does not merit the three stars! Be aware it is NOT a real Ramada hotel but an independently owned franchise.
