We were in bsasement level and bed was a bit soft/squeaky (which was surprising) but quiet room and hotel is in great location (a minute or so walk from North terminal) and offers free breakfast. Great place to stay when flying from North Terminal.

Changes to my itinerary that were outside of my control meant I could not complete my stay. I advised staff several months before, acknowledging their no refunds policy. I asked if it was possible to obtain a credit note for future use and was told a flat NO and that they were not part of the wider Hampton group and independent. I asked if I could get a credit note for their specific hotel and again told NO, yet I would bet that knowing I would be a no show they will have resold the room. Overall I would never deal with this hotel again and would warn others not to either.

The hotel was clean and tidy, staff were friendly and helpful. The comfort level for the bed was fair; the usual hard, stiff flat surface which had a padded topper on but this didn’t do much to improve things. I never understand why hotel beds have to be so stiff!
The floorboards in the rooms and corridors creaked a lot, meaning one could hear people moving around the hotel. During the night there was some kind of ventilation plant creating a deep rumbling noise which kept me awake for a fair portion of the night. I turned off the aircon but this made no difference. Breakfast was ok, the scrambled eggs lacked any flavour. I do like the self-help waffle iron this chain offers, I always enjoy the waffles.
As a convenience for catching a flight the next morning, the hotel was perfect. As a hotel to get some good rest before a flight, I felt it didn’t deliver.

Excellent airport hotel – unbeatable convenience
I had an excellent stay at the Hampton by Hilton at Gatwick Airport. Three things really stood out.
First, the convenience is hard to beat. The hotel is literally inside the airport at the North Terminal, which makes early flights or late arrivals completely stress‑free.
Second, access is excellent. Thanks to the frequent and easy monorail service between the North and South terminals, the hotel works perfectly regardless of which terminal you’re flying from.
Finally, the breakfast was great. A continental breakfast is available from 4:30am, ideal for early departures, and the traditional hot breakfast starts from 6:00am. Everything was well organised and good quality.
Overall, a very comfortable and practical stay. I’d happily stay here again and would highly recommend it to anyone flying from Gatwick.

Room was fine, issues were with parking. Hotel is sign posted into a midstay NCP carpark when inside the carpark there are reserved spaces for the hotel. Unfortunately when checking out you find the parking had to be pre booked directly with NCP (the hotel can’t help) and you have already been issued a £60 fine. Even though there are payment machines to pay at the exit. Hilton website doesn’t advise that parking must be precooked either. Also postcode takes you though the £7 drop off area not to the hotel

We stayed one night and we were very pleased we chose Hampton by Hilton. The room had been very recently refurbished was clean, spacious and the bed (and pillows) were very comfortable. The breakfast was excellent with a wide choice of just about everything. I have no hesitation in recommending you put this at the top of the list of choices when flying from the North Terminal.
