This would've been a great hotel if I was 20 or 25 years old. We has 4 bags and we are 67-the room was so small there was no place to put our bags no chairs to sit on except for a very very low foot. The bathroom is a wet and slippery had we not not put the towels on the wet floor afterwards so we wouldn't slip. I think it's a great concept for a quick overnight stay but I cannot for the life of me understand why they put that kind of bathroom in there. The bed up against the wall and you had to climb over the other person to get into bed. I used the phone controls for the air conditioning lights and door lock etc. and check out but I had to keep going back to the original email and clicking the link with the code on it for it to function - The key they gave me looked like a little credit card and worked fine.

Staff were brief, it was clean and great for an over night stay. The bathroom is a little bizarre. Tbe shower wets the floor and if you need to use the bathroom aftet a shower you get wet feet for the rest of the stay.

Easiest check-in/out I’ve ever had, friendly staff and the room is spotless but if you’re sharing this may not be for you. The pod room is very small and you will be on top of each other and after one person has showered, the bathroom is drenched as the shower head is in the middle of the space.

Nice room otherwise and I would stay here as a solo traveller. Right in the airport too so very handy if you’re catching an early flight.

Great location within the airport (before security), amazing soundproofing we really didn’t hear any noises from outside, couldn’t tell at all that you were within an airport. Comfortable bed, only downside was the wet room which meant everywhere was wet after taking a shower.

Located in the South terminal makes it very convenient to get to your flight without bothering with taxis.
Price of room is very attractive.
Stayed here many times. Rooms are small with bathroom but well maintained, inviting and safe.
Restaurants, coffee shops, food store and drugstore just there in the terminal for all your needs.
Love airport hotels.

LOVED the bed and pillows, complete darkness was perfect for my layover. There was some hairs in the bathroom and greasy streaks on the nightstand upon my check in, hopefully an oversight by the cleaning staff. Shower is over the toilet and shower floor was VERY slippery, dangerous and I almost slipped badly, then shower head leaked all night long so the floor was wet when I woke and needed to use the bathroom. Disappointing but I think it was a fluke. Hotel is really conveniently located in south terminal and nice furnishings. I would stay again even though I had frustrations with my room in particular. Close to the train to take into the city and very handy for airport location.

Compact! Possibly better suited for solo travellers in terms of space in the room but if you're literally just looking to lay your head down before an early flight it is perfect. Did not interact with a single human as used the digital room key and check out which made the entire process quick and seamless.

Really convenient for flights, being within the terminal and access to choice of restaurants etc. we booked a vip room which was a decent size,and had a fab view over the runway to watch the planes. No comfortable seating, though. Everything was clean, smart and efficient if somewhat soulless, as to be expected. Would recommend if overnight for flights is required.

The bed was extremely comfortable! I had a double bed and this room is the biggest i have ever had, there was enough space for me to open my suitcase on the floor. and it had a little nook with a table and stool. There were also 2 smalll bottles of water and huge bath towels. the room was spotless. (well what i could see withthe futuristic lighting.
The lifts were annoying in that 1 woudlnt take you to the rooms but if it was at your floor it wouldnt allow another lift to be called.

Just stayed at the Bloc Hotel Gatwick and honestly it was perfect for a pre-flight stay.

Super convenient location right inside the airport, so no stress with early morning departures or transfers. The room was compact but really cleverly designed — everything you need is there, and it feels modern, clean, and comfortable.

The bed was surprisingly comfy and the blackout features made it easy to get a proper rest despite being in an airport. Check-in was quick and straightforward too, which is exactly what you want when travelling.

Overall, it’s ideal for anyone flying from Gatwick who just wants a hassle-free, restful stopover right next to their gate. Would definitely use again for early flights.

We were disappointed with the room on several counts, these being,

1) the bed being against the wall made it very difficult to get out for the person lying next to the wall

2) The wet room makes every thing so wet after showering and very slippery especially for older people who are at risk of falling.

It was ridiculously small and claustrophobic. The shower is next to toilet with no shield and splashes on toilet. It’s maybe 9 1/2 sq ft including the bathroom. If two people sharing you have to crawl onto the bed as it’s wedged in so only access on one side. Ok just to sleep but not a room to hang out in. Hated the bathroom. Whole floor wet from shower

Reasonably priced hotel very well situated right next to departures at Gatwick airport South terminal. Good for one night if you have an early morning flight. But the cheapest windowless rooms are tiny; no space to walk all around the bed! The photos on the website only show the higher priced rooms.

The room is absolutely fantastic. We stayed in the VIP room and had views of planes landing and would have to walk down the corridor to watch planes taking off. There are only 4 VIP rooms so it’s the luck of the draw what you get.

The room is perfect, comfortable, clean, close to departures and literally perfect if you’re flying from the south terminal.

You get 20% off at Giraffe or Weatherspoons which is a nice touch.

Definitely a nice stay especially travelling with young children, if you’re trying to avoid train delays or simply cannot wake up early in the mornings before your flight.

Reasonable stay prices. I cannot fault this hotel at all.

Ok, so we understood the room was going to be tiny. But the bathroom is not functional for 2 people or one person who might want to use the toilet after a shower. My wife tried to time things to shower after I shaved before going to bed before an early flight. Turned on the hand shower to have it spray in her face - due to a leak on the handle whilst the spray did not work either as well as just noticing an overhead RAIN SHOWER in a space that believe me, you would not notice or expect one. So that leaked and would not stop in our 2x2 feet bathroom. We were dying laughing at how ridiculous a concept this was!! The floor was completely soaked. Of course everything was wet and slippery. The honest review is for anyone staying here to bring flip flops. We, however, will never stay here again! Staff - this is a do it yourself place.

Only Upside - 20% off at nearby pub. Made it tolerable…;p

This room was in the perfect location although a little hard to find, there aren’t many signs. The room was clean and perfect for us although it was a little small for our luggage and us. Slept really well the night before our flight. It was very handy to be able to use the restaurants in the airport and get 20% off as we were guests of the Bloc hotel. I would recommend and would plan to stay here again.

The room was fine but I found a bit of dust between the wooden boards and the ceiling and floor. Bedsheet was clean , pillows were not very comfy . Reception staff was nice. bathroom and shower were clean however there were some constant leaking water from the shower.
