Just an overnight so my wife could fly out of Gatwick, but the hotel exceeded expectations. Very welcoming check in, a room that was more than adequate, nice drink in the evening before bed and a great breakfast set-up.

the hotel was nice and clean and there were no issues there but on check in the room was under as my name and my card (im 17 turned 18 today, day we was meant to checkout) so the guy at the reception asks us both for id as im with my boyfriend who is 19 so he shows his but when i said i am 17 he told us we were unable to checkin as the room is under my name and i said cant we just change the name of the room or book another room under his name instead and they said no, i think 18 is the age to be to book a hotel room which is fair enough was just dissapointed that i didnt get to spend my birthday the way i wanted too.

We were disappointed that we waited in reception for 10 minutes before anyone appeared. The hroom was cold when we entered, and required some attention from your staff to get the heating to work.
Breakfast was good on the whole, but diluted orange juice did not go down too well.

Unfortunately, the bed qas extremeley uncomfortable. Myself and my partner did not sleep well at all. I prefer firmer pillows, so asked for a pillow menu (which was said to be available according to my booking). The receptionist had never heard of it?!

I had contacted the hotel for transport information and was only given basic info theirs a public bus service. No other info was provided so I message the hotel again to get no reply. Upon arrival i went to the wrong area to catch this bus. I tried to ring the hotel a few times on two numbers and no luck. An hour later I finally arrived at the hotel pretty annoyed at this long slow process. Everything else was satisfactory.

A reasonable hotel for the price. Plenty of parking space outside. Staff were very good to deal with and helpful if needed. Just a couple of things that spoiled our stay. Firstly we kept getting random women knocking on our door, when I answered they'd say sorry and walk off. I'm sure they were cleaners checking if we were in the room, but normally I'd expect them to have a list of who has checked already checked out. Not a major issue but still a bit strange. The second was that the hotel was so busy we had to queue for about 10-15 minutes to get seated for breakfast. The staff were very helpful though so it wasn't too bad in the end.

Hotel rooms (we had 2 boooked) were both clean, tidy, smelt lovely, and had adequate bedding and towels etc. We requested the 2 rooms to be close together and this was arranged for us without any problems. Had a lovely overnight stay and couldn't fault it at all.

Good location, walking distance to town centre. tea and coffee provided in the room very comfortably bed and pillows, duvet. Checkin was very quick. Only downpoint is you have to pay for parking but breakfast is included in the price if you xan make it down before 0930.

We stayed there one night unexpectedly, very last minute booking. We booked it one hour before we arrive. Even though it was abrupt booking rooms were ready with excellent condition. Every staffs take covid very seriously with highly detailed arrangement. I felt safe in there. Breakfast tastes amazing, served very diligently with such a care.

Althought it is possible that other guests may have had a different experience if they were staying in a different flioor other than the ground floor, I must say that mine was not good. The soap dispenser in the bathroom was broken. The ground floor seemed to have been neglected. The carpet was very dirty at some areas. Some areas were used as storage of old staff.It just did not feel like being in a holiday inn express like I am used to.

I ordered chicken wings and onion rings to take to my room. The onion rings were soft and not tasty.
The guy at reception was nice. He asked if I wanted to change rooms but I was tied a had already unpacked. Besides I was not expecting to have the ground floor get better. I recomment that the ground floor be made better to the stadards of Holiday inn express.
The other good thing is that the bus stop is right next to the hotel. It costs €2.60 one way to the south terminal Bus # 20. Perfect if you only have hand luggage. The trip is 15 minutes.

The hotel was acceptable for a nights stay. The breakfast wasn’t as good as some of the reviews. My main issue is though is that I have just returned from a 2 week holiday to a £100 parking fine. We checked in, asked about parking and was told it was £8, paid it, no mention of logging our details in a tablet as we are now being told. There were 3 members of staff there when we checked in and we were chatting to them about our holiday, Christmas etc so why wouldn’t one of them say about putting our car details in. There was definitely NO mention of it! The only help Holiday Inn Crawley will give us for US to follow it up with the parking company. Poor customer service all round.

If you are going there from gatwick airport, go to the south terminal, then to the bus stop on the ground level. Take the metro bus that says Crawley on the screen & get off at the 7th stop I believe which is (square about) it’s located across from the hotel entrance. Cost 2.50 GBP
