Property more of condo that turn in a hotel. It is outdated. Bed are firm. Two twin beds combined to make it king size. Bathroom configuration odd. Mini kitchen helps with stove, fridge, sink and housewares included. The housekeeping services awesome.

We loved this clean hotel, great location, lots of choices for breakfast, friendly staff. Walking distance to many places, parking was a bit scary with a one way up and down in a bigger car, but my husband managed. I think we are just used to wide American streets and parking spots.

property is old, bathroom yucky. There were hairs on the shower head. They really need to renovate the rooms.
At midnight, I was sleeping and woke up because I could hear a woman screaming and talking loudly for 1 hour until 1AM.
The only good thing was the receptionist, who was very nice, and helped with my luggage lock which got stuck.

La primera noche nos pusieron en un apartamento que dejaba mucho que desear, el sofá-cama no era apto para dormir, el colchón estaba en muy malas condiciones… Sin embargo al día siguiente de la queja, nos pusieron en un apartamento renovado que estaba muy bien, recién renovado y en el que dormimos muy bien. El personal era muy amable, y muy comprensivo.

Would not recommend this hotel.

This was a bad choice. They had free internet but it did not work. Front desk said it depended on how many people were on it. We were there 5 days with poor internet just like the 1980's. We had a terrible view of the HVAC system of the building next door. Our room had a balcony buy no chairs or table. The sound proofing between rooms was non-existent. When I asked the front desk for ice they said they didn't have any even though they had a breakfast buffet and maybe I could ask the restaurant next door. Oh well live and learn and spend more time in Barcelona.

The location is great! Very nice atmosphere in that Area . The hotell was service minded. We had the junior slites, 150 euros. The suites was ok looking....but not like WOW...i stayed in Urban suites in Barcelona and there you Get the wow....feeling...How everything is designed withing the flat. The kitchen was very small....2 forks, 2 spoons, 2 knives.. If you wanted the pan, pot you had to Ask for it in the check in. Its ok place but not any great...The wifi was really bad, slow and Kept Looking connections. The hotell said we could come down to the Receptionist and he could try to Fix ....But the wifi connection they have at this place...is just bad....So, when you pay 150 euro at least you Expect the wifi to work 100% ....So, i think you can Get many great places in Madrid for 150 euros a might.

Minor complaints but overall - lovely!

Stayed here for 2 nights. General cleanliness was excellent, and the room was comfortable enough as a base and place to sleep, although we didn't use the kitchen area so I can't comment on that. One or two things I would mention - the girl who checked us in was very helpful and pleasant, other reception staff we dealt with I felt were quite abrupt (although this may have just been the language barrier?). They did however help us store our luggage between check out and our evening flight home. Couldn't get our room safe to work, but this may just have been user error! The walls seem to be quite thin, so we did have a fair bit of noise from next door and the corridor in the evenings and mornings. Our bedroom wall backed on to the stairwell - little noise from people but some very rattley pipes there at night, though this stopped between 11pm-midnight. Could be annoying for light/early sleepers. Furniture was slightly battered, but reasonable enough for a 3* apartment. Only other thing I could mention is that our room was quite dark - no light above the bath, which had a wall divider blocking off the main bathroom lights so very dark in there, and the living area only had 2 low level lights which left it a little dim. Other than these few minor things, we had a lovely stay, and the apartments are in a great location to see much of the city! Thank you!

Close to the center (15-20 min. from Gran Via) but far enough to feel what it would be like to live in a residential neighborhood in Madrid. One block from the Metro (subway), taxis, and major stores like El Corte Ingles dept. store.
I have stayed here several times already with my family and it meets my expectation from a family hotel. Apartment is big, kitchen and big, big bathroom.

Very clean apartment on fifth floor with large bathroom, good storage space for clothes, safety deposit box and clean small kitchenette, nice shower with bathtub. Met our needs but mattress was little uncomfortable. Apartment is in a really good area very close to metro (which is simple to use to get to all locations in city). There is a market for food shopping and restaurants nearby (didn't eat in the restaurants) and clothes shops too.
Reception staff should be a little more friendly with a spanish hello in the morning but they answered any questions I had. I would return back as we had a lovely stay and felt safe.

We had a quiet room on the top floor and enjoyed our week at this apart-hotel. Reception is staffed by a professional team who speak good English and are welcoming.

The room was spacious and very clean with daily housekeeping provided. Adequately furnished and very good value for money. Our kitchen had a good fridge, a combi-microwave and a basic set of plates and cutlery; you can order pans etc from a tick list (brought promptly to our room). However, no kettle or chopping board and knife and not much worktop space. Fine for preparing breakfast and simple meals. The food hall of the El Corte Ingles department store has all you could possibly want and there are smaller shops, cafes and restaurants nearby.

Great place to stay! In a more quiet area still close to touristic sites. They offered breakfast brunch for 7€ including eggs, sausage and bacon! Good shopping including groceries within a 5 minute walk. Kitchen was cleaned every day even though hotel specified the contrary. Metro station also within a 5 minute walk.

Very comfortable and spacious room. Although the hotel is not located in the heart of the tourist district, the neighborhood feels very safe and much less hectic than downtown areas. Metro is located very close by and is easy to navigate for sightseeing. We were disappointed in hotel breakfast, which was not fresh at all, but otherwise enjoyed our stay here.

Hard to beat location. Within walking distance to the Comillias University where I was attending a conference. The restaurant next door was outstanding. The spicy tuna tartar out of this world. A very nice fruit and veg market across the street. With the small kitchenette in the suite it was nice to have fruits and cold drinks on hand for late night or morning snacking.

Outstanding experience!

My wife and I stayed at Aparto Suites Muralto Madrid recently for ten nights. This was an outstanding choice for us. The hotel was very easy to find on our own by subway from the airport despite our jet lag, a couple of blocks from the Arguelles metro station. Our apartment was very spacious and remarkably quiet with a kitchenette, balcony, and a very comfortable bed. Temperature control included AC, heat, and windows that could be opened wide to the fresh air. The breakfast buffet was inexpensive with a wide variety of choices. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. El Corte Ingles was next to the metro station with a very complete supermarket for the meals we chose to cook in our apartment. It was possible to be anywhere in the city within minutes from the Metro and the return to the airport was equally simple and fast for our return flight at the end of our stay. This hotel is also in walking distance to some wonderful parks and Goya's tomb. We will definitely stay here again when in Madrid. Book this hotel! You will not be disappointed!

This hotel had everything a traveler could want...large bathroom (with bidet), kitchenette, sofa bed, a safe for valuables, and a large bed. The bed, however, was 2 twin beds pushed together. It was very hard (felt like a cot) and the pillows were lumpy! The location was very convenient and the staff was helpful. Overall a nice hotel, but definitely not luxurious.

I can recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Madrid. I was expecting a low scale hotel, but instead we were suprised positively. The staff is friendly, helpful and speak good English. The room was great. Very spacious with comfy beds. I was happy to find out that our room had a bathtube as well.

The location was great. The hotel is next to a big shopping mall and other less expensive local stores as well as international brands like Zara, Mango etc. The tube was very close and it was very easy to move all over in Madrid. We will definitely come back to this hotel again.

Love the quiet, safe, clean hotel!

Love this hotel on a quiet street and 2 blocks from a large Corte Ingles (department store with supermarket on ground floor, cafeteria and travel agency on upper floors) and the metro stop Arguelles is in front of the store. You can easily walk to Plaza de Espana from here, the Royal Palace, the Plaza Mayor and Puerta del Sol if you do not want to take the metro. You are also close to restaurants. Our bathroom was modern and large and quiet. I have stayed here before and came back! The room was ample size with average furnishings which could be updated but the price is very reasonable. I will stay here every time when I come to Madrid! You can take the metro here from the airport just like any other hotel. A taxi runs 35 to 40 euros.

Great location...but at a cost.

This hotel is truly in a fantastic location. It was great to be close to the metro (less than one block away) and also walking distance to many monuments, plazas, etc....all with the quiet feel of a small, residential neighborhood. Also, the bathroom was quite large and luxurious with many amenities, shelves, great shower, etc. Despite its location and lavish bathroom, Muralto could really benefit from a few upgrades. First of all, I chose this hotel largely because it advertised free wi-fi. It took the staff two days to get our wi-fi up and running [after first blaming us, and then out computers -- which were macs for the problem]. Also, if you're looking at the pictures on the website, and thinking that you're actually booking an apartment/suite...think again! The room that I got (a double) was no bigger than any normal hotel room. The pictures that I had seen online displayed a two bedroom unit -- one serving as a bedroom, and the other as a living/sitting room. Nothing could be farther from the truth! I had no couch in my room...no \"other\" room. I'm not sure what makes this an apartment/suite other than the fact that you open this mysterious door in the hallway to find a kitchen the size of a closet. If you're not spending any time at all in your room, and really want a normal size hotel room with a small kitchen, this will definitely work for you. If you're looking for some space, however, or internet that actually works, try a different hotel.

I came to Madrid to spend a week with my daughter who has been studying there. It was important to be close to her apt and to the Metro and the Muralto was convenient to both. The proximity to the shops, larger stores and restaurants provided several options before or following a day of touring. The staff was cordial and very helpful. Note; the day staff spoke English, but the evening desk did not. The kitchen, though small, was clean and had all the amenities necessary to make a quick meal. The bathroom was large and the bed was very comfortable. On the down side, the thermostats are not adjustable and a couple of the nights were uncomfortably warm. The lack of a breeze in Madrid coupled with being in the back of the building made sleeping a challenge. The room was immaculate and the overall stay terrific.

Crispy clean room with good service from staffs satisfied us. Spain is full of it's greatness in their history. We enjoyed visiting very prominent museums. If you are new to Spain, don't try to drive by yourself. No navigator, no way out. I was not informed of seperate charge of breakfast and parking. It was rather annoying.

Family of 5.Third trip to Spain. 5 night stay. Wanted an apartment to do some breakfasts and some late meals in. Apartment had adequate kitchenette but not well supplied,(untensils,glasses,plates etc. Also no coffee pot or pans of any sort.). Kids slept on 2 sofa sleepers,one of which was broken. Not so private bedroom(only bathroom in apartment was situated in main bedroom)had 2 twin beds pushed together. Beds were extremely hard and pillows were little more than seat cushins. Good sleep was difficult! Location was okay,right by metro stop. Hotel food was pricey. Family restaurants in area are few. Its a university part of city. More tapas bars than anything,FILLED with students.We have stayed at other Hotel apartments in Spain comparably priced with better facilities.

Good hotel in great location

The hotel is in a great location, has friendly staff and is quiet and restful. The Air conditioner in one room didn't work at first, but was fixed promptly. We would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to spend a few days in Madrid.

The hotel is ok. The only complain

The hotel is ok. The only complain being that the water for bathing was cold. Ok we were at the end of the corridor, but that's not excuse!!!

great place to stay with your family

Traveling with family, all six. Neat, clean and effecient. Staff were friendly with everyone and spoke some English. Overall a good place to stay for the price.

Good Option

Good experience. Nice hotel. Internet service isn't Mac compatible. I am traveling for business so this was a problem. Otherwise, good location. Close to metros and the teleferico and hop-on, hop-off bus service.

God beliggenhed. Venligt personale. Fremragende morgenmad. Meget støj fra gaden om natten når der blev tømt skraldespande. Larm fra byggeri på hotellet,
men det er selvfølgelig kun midlertidigt.
