I booked a night this hotel, but I did not end up sleeping there. The images and description on Expedia was not what I experienced. They did not have a lobby as shown online. The beds looked like they had the same blankets on them since 1950. The beds did not look like something I would ever sleep in.

The place is super well located right on La Gran Via and that makes it a bit loud, but if you keep all shutters down will be better. It’s an old place where U can stay without great expectations, staff is friendly and I can’t tell U about the amenities because I didn’t use it. Ideal for a short stay no more than 2 days.

The hotel has a great location on the Gran Via. It sits within a block that houses other businesses with reception on the 6th floor.
My room was small and basic, but was clean with an excellent shower. Small balcony did over some excellent views over the city. I didnt take up the offer of breakfast so cant comment on how good this was.
Useful facility to check in and out online which helped speed up the process.

This is a typical old style hotel for an urban centre in Spain. Small room but quite adequately equipped and appeared to be recently renovated. The location is excellent and it was accessible vis a bus or walking (40 minutes) to the train station. I would stay there again.

Located in the middle of the busiest area of Madrid. You don’t even need public transportation to get around. Shopping, sightseeing, museums and nightlife is all in less than 20 minutes walking distance. The Hotel is clean and quiet. If you don’t need a concierge service and a pool, this is perfect to just sleep and shower. I will stay there again during my next visit in Madrid.

In the midst of a two-month European ramble, the Rincon was a terrific spot for my Madrid stay. About a one-minute walk from the metro station at Plaza Espana, on the Gran Via, the location is absolutely terrific. Check-in was a breeze (front desk is on the 6th floor, just left of the elevator), and the staff there were very nice and helpful, their english was much better than my español. The room was very good for the price, go with a balcony street room. Overall, a very good place to stay in Madrid.

This place is pretty difficult to find. no signs that help you find where the hotel is, and the lobby office is usually empty. Walls are paper thin, view is nice. The soap dispenser had no soap in it. Overall not a great hotel, and quite expensive. If I could go back in time I would book a different place.

Location was this property is excellent but I have to say room was not sound proof, you can hear noises from street and from the room next to us, also checkin was difficult I did my checking online thinking I would save time but I was wrong, I have to do it again and the actitud of the young Asian lady at the from desk doesn't help at all, very rude. Management of the hotel there is a lot of room for improvement in costumer service.

Conveniently located (metro, plazas, theaters, restaurants). It's also a commercial building, has a Medical Center where we even had our Covid-19 tests before flying back home. (40 euros ea. and results in less than 20 minutes).
It's an old building so the elevators are small and slow.
We would definitely look to stay again in this hotel.

Good value for a central location with nice staff

Stayed in a single room for 2 nights. The location is good, almost next to Plaza de España and bus No.1 stops very close to the building coming from Atocha station.
There were electric pot, tea bags, cookie, coffee cup, and fridge in the room, which are rare in hotels in Europe. Also pretty good breakfast for a small charge. All staffs were well trained and helpful (not sure if they speak English or not).
The only negative for me was that elevators are small and shared with other businesses such as medical facility in the building. So sometimes I had to wait a while to get to places.
Overall I enjoyed staying here and won't hesitate staying here again.

Booked a further night in Madrid when my plans changed. So a different hotel from earlier in the week. The plus was the cracking rooftop view of Madrid. The downside was being woken by next room rolling in late! Found it a bit odd the hotel kept messaging me in Spanish about checking in (and out) online.

The small upcharge for the room with the functional balcony facing Gran Via is worth it. Great views and in the middle of everything so most things are easily walkable to. Whats not is easy to get to via Metro. Its an old building, but that only adds charm. The rooms are clean and modern. Definitely recommend.

In a great location and great value

El Rincon de Gran Via is in an amazing location.
The hotel is unusual in that it is on the 5th & 6th floors of an office block, but this added to the charm.
My room was in the old section and if I stayed again, which I would, I would prefer a new room.
On the whole, it was very good value for money.
The receptionists were very helpful too.

In overall, our stay was fine. Nothing extra. The room was okay, but the floor was dirty with dust and hairs on the it. Also, air condition and fridge did not work fine and we were not able to keep our food or drinks cold. Bathroom was clean. For the price is it worth.

The hotel has a fabulous location. The room was very spacious. Breakfast only cost 5 euros, but was no different from that of other hotels that charge 12 euros. The entrance doesn’t look like an ordinary hotel and the internal structure is a little complex, which seems to be a disadvantage to the hotel. I could sense a little strange smell when I first entered my room, which may have been been due to the age of the builing, but it wasn’t that bad and soon got used to it.

This hotel was very tricky to find but it was amazing! For what I payed to stay here it was so good! The room was clean and spacious as well as the bathroom. The shower had 4 different settings which I thought was cool. This hotel is right in the dead center of Gran Via which is the most touristic and busiest part of Madrid, this can be a really good or bad thing depending on what you’re looking for when you get to Madrid.

Great mid-range option on Gran Vía

I've stayed at a few mid-range hotels in this area of Madrid, and this one definitely surpassed my expectations. I was pleased with what I got the for the price, especially given that it was World Pride weekend in Madrid and I booked at the last minute. I was well accommodated throughout my stay and left without any regrets.

Very central and we just walked all over the place, actually walked the Hop On/Off route. Nice clean room in the back with a large balcony with a partial view of the Cathedral and Royal Palace. First when you walk in the building, seems odd because of the clinics and law offices in the ground floor. The hotel actually starts on the 5th floor and reception is on third. But surprised that our room was clean. We had the breakfast included but totally tasteless tortilla and sausage. Just had coffee, juice and toast. Overall, I would recommend but if you're a breakfast person just go across the street to McDonalds, Burger King or Starbucks.

The hotel was in a good location on the Gran Via. Included breakfast was a simple buffet but nice. The hotel has lifts, which is great for anyone lugging around 15+ kg.

One complaint: Safe wasn't broken. Asked them to have it fixed. In the four nights we were there, it never got fixed.

Perfect Location for a City Break!

I had a premium double room with an amazing view of the Gran Via. The hotel is located on 6th floor of a building with a lift available. Very helpful staff and had the room cleaned daily which was impressive. Right next to a metro station with great connections all over the city including the airport. Beds were comfortable with a choice of pillows. Fantastic aircon which worked amazing and TV had English channels. Bathroom, again very tidy and clean and spacious shower. So impressed with this hotel and would definitely go back.

Hotel acorde precio calidad.Inmejorable ubicación. Desayuno austero pero bien, solo criticaría del mismo la falta total de fruta. Nos alojamos en el 8vo piso aunque tenía muy buenas vistas ,el wifi era casi nulo e inexistente( imposible para los que desean estudiar y/o trabajar!!!) La atención muy buena y amable, salvo por las noches que muchas veces no responden a los reclamos de forma inmediata. Recomendaría alojarse aquí sin duda.
