The property is literally in the heart of pier 39 43 1/2, several cruise tours, etc. The location is ideal if one wants to experience all of pier 39/Wharf’s Fisherman. However, the rooms are a little dated but clean. I was not a fan of the bathroom because it was very small and no counter space. I initially booked this property because it stated game room since I have a toddler. Keep in mind that the game room has games but not like arcade games for toddlers. Games geared more towards teens ( connect four-outside versions, foosball, etc.).
I also requested an early check-in (noon) but room was not ready until 2. So we walked around and got something to eat until the room became available. Overall, this property is the perfect location for touring the area.

Hotel is conveniently located in SFO, but needs a good renovation. Rooms are outdated, lighting is really bad, especially in the bathroom. Bathroom is actually pretty ugly. Rooms are already expensive and parking is 65$ a day.

We are so thrilled we were able to stay at a hotel Zephyr. The staff were extremely friendly, and helpful. The rooms were clean and had a fun designs. There was a lot for tiles of all ages to do in the hotel, including snores on the fire pits in the evening and all the indoor and outdoor lawn and board games. They had awesome resources on traveling while in San Francisco, and throughout California. The location was also extremely safe, and right across from Fisherman’s wharf. Public transportation and the famous hop-on hop-off trolleys are also easily accessible. Parking is $65 but is available on sight and is discounted 50%off on the first day if you book the hotel from Expedia. We were also on a higher floor and had an amazing view of San Francisco. The only complaint we had was that the room with two queens was a little narrow. Two people could not walk across the hotel room, without another person having to move out of the way. Otherwise, it was an absolutely wonderful hotel that I recommended to all my friends and family with children.

Perfect for families—fun outdoor games, super chill vibe, and the location is EVERYTHING. You’re basically steps away from Fisherman’s Wharf, food, and all the things you actually came to see.

Room was clean, comfy, and quiet (which is a win after a full day of exploring). Staff was great too.

10/10 would stay again—especially if you want convenience without sacrificing personality.

The hotel has a great location and its amenities makes it stand out from the rest. The housekeeping is top notch. They are very friendly and give you what you need.

When I arrived the lamp was flickering and the carpet could use a good clean. There isn’t a long mirror that I think would make everything better so that you can see yourself. The mirror in the bathroom is hard to use because the door doesn’t open wide enough so it’s a bit awkward when trying to get ready. Other than that great experience! Friendly staff!

We used Bart to come into the city. Between Uber and the Lime scooters we were able to visit the Embarcadero area with ease. The Zephyr is ideally situated near many attractions. It’s become a family favorite.

Great location and view of the Ferris wheel and Alcatraz from our balcony, but hotel room was very run down. You could tell the property is in need of some major updates. Lobby was nice with games for the kids but rooms were very small and not very clean. Wish there was an easy breakfast option, we had to walk out to find some cafes in the morning. Easy to walk to many things at Pier 39 and near, but probably wouldn’t stay here again.

Bathrooms are awkwardly small and double bed rooms were also smaller than expected. Ended up in a downsized room from what we reserved and expected. The industrial adult playground aspect of the common area wasn't as interesting as the listing makes it seem. Above average location, but value overall isn't great due to cost per night. Not super impressed and we won't stay here again.

Not enough toilet paper. Shampoo dispenser broken. One of the elevators out of service. Must carry access card everywhere around the hotel because you can’t go to the parking lot and come back into the building without it. You can’t use the lobby restrooms without the key either.

The location was great and the hotel had a cute vibe. We checked in early for a fee which was worth it.

However, the bathroom was not cleaned well. The toilet had not been cleaned so we needed to have some come up in the evening to clean it.

Also, the weather was exceptionally warm for this time of year and the room AC could not keep up with the heat so the room was quite warm and we could not adjust the AC to a cooler temp.

I would recommend the hotel due to the location but I would check to make sure the room was properly cleaned as soon as you get into the room.

Also, I have not received my final invoice which was supposed to be sent to me.

I it’s a nice place but for being a dog friendly place they don’t have any rest spot for dogs to relieve themselves. Fees start to add up and the place is expensive. We paid for secure parking which is on the high side. Unhoused individuals hang out near the seven eleven around the Conner. But not bad of a places chill with there pet policy as along as you respect them.

I stayed here on an Anniversary trip. The hotel itself is cute! There is however, room for improvement. Everything needs a deep cleaning, carpet needs to be removed, outlets need to be checked on a regular. If you’re going to offer a voucher for “free breakfast”, at least offer more than three meal options. Also, the website states two s’mores per visit. They claim that is what you receive in the one package that they give you (although they did offer another one). I also believe the hotel has water damage issues that they should be tending to right away. Other than those issues, the hotel is nice and have wonderful potential.

Our overall stay was just okay. Staff at check in was very friendly and cleaning staff was very friendly as well. We had trouble with our card getting out of the parking structure and the security officer was so annoyed, rolling his eyes that he had to come and assist us. Throughout our stay the elevators were not working. The game room was cool. One fire pit was not working.it was hard to get access to a fire pit throughout our stay to use our smores kit but it’s a cool amenity. Overall we didn’t spend much time in our room so it was oka. Not terrible do the price. Also walking distance to fisherman’s wharf and Alcatraz pier so we didn’t use our car majority of the trip. Hope this is helpful to first timers.

Check in was correct, with a very friendly staff. When we arrived to the room (only one elevator working) the toilet had a hole in the wall because they remove a mirror. The shower rail was not well fixed, and the electricity plug next to the bed was not working. We realized the alarm clock in one room was missing and there was supposed to charge our phones. Maybe some one stole it. Who knows. Wifi is weak.
The bed was comfortable and plenty of pillow options. The recreation area is really good. That was by far the best part on our holidays. We enjoy it with the kids.

I was told I got the best room that they have. But I question that. The room had a balcony facing the ocean/Jefferson street.The AC did not work. The room smelled like smoke. The outlets to plug in my charger did not work. The only two positive things about this room was the view with balcony and the showerhead. I’ve never stayed in a hotel that had that good of water pressure in the shower. Other than that, the room is not worth what I paid for it.

The elevators and hallways all smelled strongly for marihuana. Also there are a ton of charges which you never expect. After a 3 night stay they added over 300 dllrs of charges and half was for parking. The place looks cool especially for kids but definitely not worth the cost.

Overall the hotel had an overwhelming smell of weed. Even though it was apparently non-smoking. The light in the room keep flashing (with electrical pops) and tripping the GFCI in the bathroom.

Don’t bring kids here. This hotel is designed teenage kids or young couples. Won’t be back.

The bath room had a fan. It has been a long time since I was in a hotel that had a bathroom fan that actually took care of the steam in the bathroom. Loved the location to pier 39.
