I booked a 4 night stay in November and actually did not end up staying at the hotel because the cleanliness and smell was not appealing to me. My room was also very hot and the air conditioner was not controllable from the room. I was in my room for 5 minutes and decided to leave to another hotel. I am not a poicky person but this hotel was far below expectations, especially on Ponsoby Road. To further expand the issue, the management of the company did not return my money as I had prepaid for my visit, but they decided the right thing to do for there business was to keep my money instead of treating a dissatisfied customer fairly. They kept all of the money for my 4 night stay and will not return it. I would not stay here. Many other great options in Auckland for similar price.

The bathroom had some cracked tiles that trapped water every time I took a shower, and it ended up seeping into the carpet. The rooms weren’t soundproof either, so being right on the main road, you could hear a lot of noise from outside.

Disappointed with Wotif. Booked a hotel room for theee people and then on way to hotel was called and told it would be an extra $30 ish dolllars for a pull out bed.

2-night staycation in a studio. The room was fine for the time we were there - small but had all the necessary facilities. Comfortable king bed, shower with great water pressure, fridge/freezer. The best thing about this hotel is the location. At the K rd end of Ponsonby road, you have all the dining options you need, shop till you drop, supermarket round the corner, amazing park across the road…the list goes on. Would definitely stay again for this reason alone.

The parking when you arrive is awkward as you have to park up near the footpath.When I checked out,no was at reception so I put the keys in the drop box.I then got rung up after 45 mins after I had checked out asking when I was leaving?

Do not order the breakfast as it will be the worst $20 you ever spend, as it is a tray of odds and ends they leave in your fridge when you book in. The bread was stale, also I don’t tend to eat potato chips (also stale) and chocolate bars for breakfast. The towels had stains and the toilet was broken, which happens, but as another room could not be supplied we ended up fixing this ourselves.

I always stay at Quest Ponsonby when I travel to Auckland. Great to have a room with a kitchen and laundry facilities. Comfy bed and couch. Has a supermarket around the corner. Great location close to town.

Excellent stay in the heart of Auckland! Walking distance to many restaurants, bars, cafes. Just a 15 minute drive to the beach and 20 minutes to Auckland airport! Our stay was great for what we needed, it was very cheap and it was clean and a good location. Car parking on site is very secure however tight in a large vehicle. The room did not have a window you could see out as there were privacy shutters so we kept the blinds shut, okay for one night but maybe not any longer. Staff were great. It is a solid 3 star hotel in my opinion and a good budget option.

Quest is very convenient to family we are visiting. Our room was small compared to other rooms we've stayed in at the Quest. We had no surfaces to lay our things out on and no drawers so that meant we could not empty our suitcase. That lay on the one chair available. Rooms are always clean and we will use the Quest next trip to Auckland. Hopefully, we will get a better room

We have stayed in this unit twice before. This time we notice the drawer handle on the cutlery drawer kept falling off the drawer, the filter on the front of the dryer fell off when we used the dryer, and the door between the bedroom and the bathroom was completely jammed shut and would not open. Everything else was excellent, bed was VERY comfortable, washer dryer combo good (except for fault noted above). Kitchen well stocked. We will stay here again, and probably ask for the same unit next time.
