The property was very nice, clean, and the breakfast was tasty. We enjoyed our time in Istanbul staying here. The walls were thin and you could hear outside noises and people talking next door. The staff was amazing and accommodating. Easy for taxi pickup and drop off- about 1 hour from IST and SAW airports.

Overall, great stay. Room was clean, service impeccable, breakfast was more than sufficient and it was relatively quite for being in a large city like Istanbul. Transportation options are plentiful and very convenient. It is a tad worn but otherwise a very nice place to stay during a visit to Istanbul.

The hotel area has some drawbacks. One crucial issue is the parking space around the property. Caution for those guests who are planning their stayin by car you need to drive around to find a parking space. Secondly, during the nights, it could be dangerous behind the streets of this hotel. Nevertheless, this property fulfil my minor expectation helpful staff, clean, and the connection through the motorway.

Hotel is good to stay. I had booked Tempo Airport suites but was asked to go to Tempo Fair suites, which is on the opposite side of the road.

We booked a room for 2 adults and 2 children. The bed for the 2 adults was pretty good, but the sofa bed for the kids was quite small and not comfortable.
The location is not convenient for a car: there is a lot of traffic and it's very difficult to find street parking.

Highly recommend the suite!

The suite was perfect! Plenty of space, equipped with a separate kitchen and living room. The bathroom was large and has a full bath. The window had a street view and the room service and house keeping were prompt and detailed. I would recommend!

NOT AIRPORT HOTEL

Both Hotels.com and this hotel are misleading. The hotel is near the former Istanbul airport - Ataturk that is now cargo only. I searched Hotels.com for an airport hotel and ended up paying 210 turkish lira for a 50 minute taxi journey. Hotels.com needs to update their website with the location of the new IST airport!! ]
Once we finally got to the hotel, it was pleasant and clean. Room was novel, staff good and nice breakfast. It would have been a lot better if it was actually near the airport.

Nice inexpensive hotel

Good place for being near airport. Staff very helpful, gave us free breakfast on day of our arrival, room was ready by 9 and was a good size, clean and comfortable. Staff allowed us to leave bags with them after we checked out for our 4- day Turkey tour. Plenty of places to eat at around hotel, but watch your step as pavements are narrow and uneven.

This property is located in a chaotic and poor neighborhood of Istanbul and absolutely the pictures are deceiving. I have stayed at many places close to the Ataturk airport at similar prices and this property was absolutely the worst. I do not recommend it. Also while the staff was very nice to carry our luggage to our room as we had to hurry etc, we had 2 adults and 2 kids and the room booked by Expedia was not for more than 3 people, absolutely. Also although they saw checking in 4 people (they recorded our IDs) when we came to the room at night the single extra bed was not ready and there were only two sets of towels. People choose this place for its convenience to the airport I understand that but it is not worth it, believe me. It is extremely surprising that it has 4.5 rating from customers, simply unbelievable, I do not know how it is possible actually.

Overnight transit stay

Had an overnight transit at ataturk airport and didn't fancy staying at the airport with 3 young children. Spent the night at tempo suites. Very impressed. Close and convenient for airport. Very clean and comfortable. Can't fault the service. Buffet breakfast was nice too.

2 nights, perfect stay

I stayed only 2 nights in a business trip to Istanbul, hotel location is so crowd but rooms are somehow quit, very comfortable, and staff were very nice and always helpful.
Hotel is near all means of transportation, metro station, and metro-bus stations are about 200m far.
Rooms are full of colorful lights and well furnished, and very wide.
Defiantly I will come again and next time will be with family :).

We loved it. Nice boutique hotel. Great condition with a nice breakfast buffet. But the best things is that you're in the local area. Food is better. Coffee and tea are better. Everything is $.30 on the dollar...seriously. Loved it. Everything!!!

Nice hotel but taxi from airport difficult

The hotel staff was very helpful and good, and the room nice, especially considering the price. I took a taxi at ~ 8 pm expecting a price of 15-20 TL based on previous experience in Istanbul. All the taxi drivers wanted 40-50 TL due to traffic. After trying ~ 5 taxis and getting the same response, I paid 40 TL, and yes, there was a lot of traffic. I returned to the airport at 6 am with no traffic and paid 12 TL.

Good layover hotel

We have stayed one night while waiting for our flight next morning. I picked this hotel due to its location. Taxi takes about 10 minutes to and from airport. Hotel was clean and staff was friendly. Neighborhood is not really touristic section of city, so not much to see around the hotel. There are a few restaurants offering kebab style food. Our booking price included breakfast which was a open buffet, typical Turkish style breakfast w/ cheeses, eggs, tomatoes etc. Overall I recommend the hotel a layover stay.

Great experience

It's a great hotel for a short stay close to the airport. They sent directions to the hotel to give to taxi driver ( from airport ) and even paid the driver do you do t have to worry about changing money or negotiating a price . Good choice for breakfast. Tempo Suites you rock

This hotel has beautiful rooms.looking at the outside would not impress you but my room was great. Breakfast very healthy.From the airport is about 10-15 minutes which normally cost about 20 -30 tukish lira they charged us 100 lira so foreigners be aware. Very happy with our stay

Had horribly early flight out and just wanted a decent place to stay at a modest price.Tempo Suites fit the bill. We loved the purple/blue lights beneath the bed, and the bed was very comfortable.We found the neighborhood to be quite interesting, as it appears to be a typical Istanbul city neighborhood - very buzzing and busy, with heavy traffic, too. The hotel recommended a great place for dinner, Melvana Pide or something like that, and we really enjoyed it. The room was a little noisy, but we got to sleep fine, and were quite cosy. Other than the blue lights and Ikea-type lighting, it was not particularly modern, but it was certainly clean and comfortable, with a nice bathroom, fridge and coffee maker, little stove we didn't use, etc. Appreciated the WiFi, although I had problems getting into Google. I had same problems the night before in our other Istanbul hotel, so can't say there was anything wrong with Tempo's or not. The place was found fairly easily by the cab driver who brought us from Sultanahmet, which was amazing given that it was not the least bit easy to get there with all the one way streets. In the morning the hotel called a cab for us and it came promptly.

Good price/distance tradeoff for airport

The room is very comfortable, clean and with original design. The coloured light strips under and behind the bed give it a cheerful feeling. Among other things, there was a working coffee maker with 2 complimentary capsules of good coffee, 2 bottles of water, slippers, sweets on the bed... Little things that put a smile on your face. The receptionists were v helpful, and when I had to leave at 5am, woke me up and make a sandwich for me to take away. The air conditioning took a few minutes to make a difference, then worked fine.

The hotel is located close to a metro station, near a pedestrian street with shops and fast food outlets. An online map with instructions how to walk from the metro would be very helpful, as it is close (300m?) but a bit tricky to find - I couldn't find the street names on the corners of buildings. Also, the metro starts at 6am (I was told), so I took a taxi to the airport, but this was not expensive (around 15 Lira or £3.50 in GBP).
