The room is very old. The bedsheets and towels are no longer white; they are grey because they are very old. The pillows are also very small. The main reception area of the hotel is dusty and filled with old furniture. This hotel cannot be a 5-star hotel at all.

It was my second time staying at Bricks, and will be my go-to hotel for every trip to Istanbul. The rooms are fantastic, the staff is friendly and helpful. I love relaxing in the cafe while I pause between treks into the city, and ending the night at the rooftop restaurant.

My stay at the beginning was not very good, and I was honestly disappointed at first. However, after meeting the manager, Mustafa, everything changed. Once he understood the situation, he personally made sure we were taken care of and did his best to make our stay easier and more comfortable. For that, I truly want to thank him.

I would also like to share a suggestion for improvement. If guests are looking for facilities such as swimming, spa, or other activities, it would be helpful if this information was clearly communicated in advance. This would benefit both the business and the guests.

Additionally, while the manager was professional and welcoming, the rest of the staff did not seem very engaged or happy, and at times appeared lacking in hospitality skills. A bit more training in customer service and welcoming guests would make a big difference.

Overall, I appreciate the effort made by the manager, Mustafa, and I hope the hotel continues to improve its service through better communication and staff training.

The inly issue we had is the smoke smell coming from the ac, although we stayed in non smoking room but heavy smoking smell was coming from the ac, we had to switch it off and open the windows

Wow! The service at Bricks is incredible. My aunt had left her luggage with a hotel luggage service while we traveled to Cappadocia. When we got to Brick's at 11PM at night, we told the folks in the hotel lobby that we were going to go get the luggage, and they said if you're too tired we can arrange someone to pick it up for you. We were so tired, it really saved us time and energy. The hotel is beautiful and the staff was just so kind.

Beautiful property but the traffic noise was crazy. Had to use earplugs to sleep. The kitchen was more than accommodating for my dietary restrictions of gluten free. Even the breakfast buffet was accommodating. Close to transit if you’re adventurous. Staff more than happy to please.

From the moment I arrived until the moment I left, all of the staff was helpful and cheerful. Not only did they care for me when I was on property, they provided me with their phone numbers in case of emergencies. They all proud a sense of proud to their jobs and it shows. I will be back again and will tell my friends!

Splurge for the King Suite

King Suite was wonderful. Lots of space, two bathrooms and a great shower. Nice amenities including a welcome bowl of fruit and cookies. A bit further from airport than we realized but a terrific one-night stay.

There are no facilities as applied in 5-star hotel

The hotel staff is nice and wonderful. Unfortunately, the simple thing like adapter they don't have for the devices, even though it is a free service provided by all 5-star hotels. The problem is that they sell the adapter to the customer under the pretext that he brought it from outside the hotel at a price more than 8 times higher than its official price.
I don't know why the hotel is rated 5 stars.

Perfect pre-cruise hotel

The service was amazing and very friendly. We had a last minute reservation and they arranged transportation to the hotel and to our cruise ship the next day. Breakfast was good. Coffee was ok. The honeycomb at the breakfast bar was huge.

The room was great, hotel staff were fine.
Very disappointed with the restaurant on the 8th floor, did have the drinks they adverted on the menu.
Next day we want to the main restaurant around 6pm ish. We were taken to our seats. Then a few minutes later the waitress came over and said that they are not open today and told us to go to the 8th floor. One question is why did they sit us down and why didn’t they have a sign saying they are closed.
There are only few restaurants close to this hotel, not much of a choice for eating out.

The check-in process was seamless and efficient. The staff were incredibly kind, courteous, and attentive. The property itself was spotless and had a cozy atmosphere. Despite its location near the highway, the room was impressively quiet. The rooms were spacious and impeccably clean, offering a comfortable stay.

The hotel is conveniently surrounded by a great selection of local restaurants and shopping options. The breakfast was outstanding, with a wide variety of choices and a chef preparing fresh omelets to your preferences.

I stayed in the business suite which was comfortable and clean. I received the complimentary transfer which was convenient and great. Checked in early which was smooth which helpful staff. The biggest let down was the half board element. Although excited to receive a 3 course dinner with drinks included, the food left a lot to be desired. Although there were lots of options which could be made gluten free as requested, was given the blandest fish and steamed vegetables with absolutely no flavour. The food was cold and when asked for it to be warmed, it was returned rock hard and inedible. The head waiter was very kind and when he saw my disappointment, offered to bring me fruit to my room which he did. But I’d lost my appetite. Breakfast was no better. I had an early flight so was told could go 15 minutes early. The chef on the omelette station reacted as if it was too much trouble to make me an omelette, looking at his watch and sighing annoyingly. He rang the bell for me to come collect when cooked. So moody, no smile when thanked. I asked for some chilli to which he gestured for me to go elsewhere even though it was right in front of him. I asked again and he threw some on my plate with another annoyed sigh. He should definitely not be working with guests if he hates it so much. Altogether was an Okay stay but left feeling rather disappointed.

Lovely place to recover from surgery. Staff comes by 2x per day to replenish tea and coffee in the room. You can call the restaurant for more water bottles at any time at no extra cost. Although one day it took 4 calls and a whole day to get it.. Lots of options for room service.

Surgery people, be careful leaving pill blister packs out while having the room cleaned. My pain meds were thrown out accidentally.

A beautiful hotel with very friendly staff and i definitely recommened a sea view room. The only small issue i had was that the pictures make it look as if the hotel isnt around any othr buildings but its surrounded by other high rises so after 2pm the pool totall looses the sun, such a shame as i felt i had to leave the hotel to enjoy the rest of the sunny day. The hotel was everything I had wanted. The staff is courteous and attentive, and the room was excellent. It's very convenient to the Metro to quickly and easily get around the city. The coffee shop is a wonderful place to relax and plan the day, while the rooftop restaurant has a great view while relaxing in the evening breeze, and the service in both is fantastic.
I hope that I can return soon.

Great staff, I got in 8 am and had a room ready by 9:30. I got a nice corner room with a view. Breakfast was amazing with all the different choices and the coffee shop was my go to when I wanted to relax. Being there 9 nights I was able to explore the area and felt safe, but I am 6’5 260. The airport transfer is a bit higher than a taxi, but not knowing what to expect that’s a safe bet. Overall I would stay again for the price and what the hotel has to offer.

I enjoyed my stay, I did observe however that the room was not as clean as I thought expected. The washroom door had visible splash marks on it. Room service is timely, however often the portions are incredibly small for what you’re paying. Breakfast had a great variety, and there’s a restaurant and coffee shop in the actual hotel. There’s also many coffee and food places near the hotel like within a 10 minute walk. Staff were very friendly and hospitable, make sure all your needs are met. Room was comfortable. Bathroom was great as well.

I like the staff at Bricks: they are attentive, and helpful and go out of their way to help you if they can. The room was really quite nice and the breakfast was excellent. The only downsides are: trying to park at the property (It's on a very busy highway and you have to attract the attention of the doorman to get a valet to park your car, and the surrounding area which is poorly lit at night and seems rather out of the way and dingy. However, I would recommend it as being well worth the price and as a pleasant experience.

The property is located far from Istanbul Airport but I just needed a night to rest. The rooms are large and quiet with good shower. The only problem is the old smell of smoking. They should have non smoking rooms for the guess. Otherwise the staff are very polite and always smiling and trying to help. This attitude is a plus for a solo international traveler. 👏👏👏 Breakfast was good and good coffee.

No alcahol is served at the property , I had a suite and it was a little dated , bath had been fixed cheaply and the windows didn’t close properly , it was clean of course and the location is very very busy to get too there is parking , staff were nice and breakfast was ok but it’s not luxury , I would say 4 stars but noisy

Not sure how this hotel rated 5 Stars hotel.
It is very old hotel, it needs a lot of remodeling.
They don't supply to the rooms basic things that 2 or 3 stars hotels supplied. For example: No Face towel in the bathroom. No USB Charger (funny thing when you ask them, they tell you, give us the money to buy a USB charger for you)

Our first holiday , great hotel and the staff are great , Menai the lady who does room service is excellent and even though we didn’t understand each other perfectly she was very nice and did a great job , lovely women
The staff are very helpful and the hotel was perfect for us , the only thing I would say is that it’s a 20-30 mins taxi drive away from all the tourist attraction , but like I said we didn’t mind , with my autistic son the room was spacious and had 2 toilets which was perfect . He loved the hotel and the shower was great too. The only negative thing was the jacuzzi didn’t really work properly but I didn’t mind ( when u put it on black bits came out ) overall great hotel defo recommend , breakfast had a great selection , something for everyone , including my fussy son.

Prime location , modern and very clean hotel. Room was new and modern. The breakfast was just amazing! I even took a video of that because i was so impressed while I normally don’t do that anywhere. The staff in front desk are very helpful and cooperative. I stayed one night but even that short time was a very pleasant experience.

Everytime I come to istanbul I stay here and highly recommend it! Ps you can get a room with balcony and the view is amazing
