The property is a bit dated and could do with better upkeep, but it is right in the heart of Queenstown, an excellent location. My room was spacious and had everything that I needed, the washer and dryer were much appreciated.

Unfortunately for the property, it is now located at the “dirty” end of town, vacant lot beside has been filled with takeaway food caravans, so the smell of cooking oil and burning food permeates through the apartments next door. They are just ok, quite run down, and falling apart in places. They’ve tried to update with new bathrooms and some appliances, but it really needs a total and complete renovation now.

The staff were friendly and helpful, but the room was disgusting! Stained sofa, old and smelly carpet, bathroom was old and broken. There wasn't even a proper entrance - you enter thru the patio doors. We couldn't wait to get out of the place. Will never stay there again!

Great location and amenities! Very convenient to access 24 hour store, nearby retail, restaurants and tour spots. The apartments are older but updated. There was no in unit laundry in ours, the staff helped to wash in a nearby unit.

The room was disgusting. Wet soggy carpet in the living room (smell of puke), food scraps under the furniture, mould in the fridge. Towels, tea towls etc were all damp like they had previously been used. Doors dont shut. Then to top it all off i paid for two days parking only to be re charged again at the parking building. So we checked out a day early. I have not been refunded for the night i did not stay nor for the parking i was charged twice for.

Was given a street-front room, it was very noisy and sleep was challenging. Door to unit was stiff and difficult to open, no rack in the bathroom to hang towels, heat pump was on 31 degrees during the stay but room didn't warm up.
Property didn't look like the photos on the site.

The most disgusting place we have ever stayed at.
Water leaks from the ceiling all over our clothes, urine on the walls, dirty AC filters sitting on top of the AC, old mattresses, dirty sheets and linen with stains all over them. Black mould everywhere, a birds nest in the range hood, doors handles falling off, no hanging rails, broken chairs, the TV bracket on the wall was about to fall off which could have killed one of our kids. Changed us to another room which was still dirty, found a used pregnancy test in the bathroom and will not give us a refund. Avoid this place at all costs.

The property is in a great location with beautiful views. Very central walk to everything. We checked in at 4pm went to our room and opened the door to fine 2 staff cleaning our room, stripped beds, it was a mess. Left our bags and went exploring. Shower broken had to hold with hand to shower.
It’s a shame as if managed better and tidied up it could be one of the best in central Queenstown.

The location is amazing. The hotel is dated and little worn out. The beds were comfortable and the rooms were large. There is a night club across the street that played loud music all night - if you are sensitive to sound it might be bothersome.

Good location - very close to everything in town. Quiet, too. Comfy bed. Spacious apartment, but a little tired. Broken pane of glass in main window - which had been temporarily fixed - needs fixing asap. Broken ranch slider handle had been removed (found it in bedside table drawer) and area taped over - also needs fixing! No plug for sink in kitchen. No powder for dishwasher. Seemingly little points that make a big impact. Other than that - a good find.

The property is conveniently located for walking around the center of town but felt rather run down. We had plenty of space in the unit we had for the 3 of us (no shortage of beds), but I was concerned that there might be mold in the carpets. I'm glad our stay was limited to a single night.

Perfect for location if wining and dining your way around town. Everything is within a very short walk. Love the big balcony with a view. Stayed in Room 302 - 2 bedroom apartment with 2 bathrooms. Rooms definitely outdated and cleaning and hygiene was an issue. There were used women’s sanitary items left in the bathroom bin, the microwave didn’t have a working turn table, there was broken glassware in the kitchen cupboard, there was 7 used and very old and dirty scouring sponges under the sink, no laundry powder (but then was provided when asked), washer/dryer tricky to operate and was in the main bathroom so awkward to access for rest of people staying in the apartment, no air conditioning in the bedrooms. As there are no fly screens, unable to open any doors or windows as the place quickly filled up with flies. NZ definitely needs fly screens! Overall the place is perfect for location if you don’t mind the place being outdated and not clean/functional/cool in summer.

Run down accommodation and many issues in the room that I’m in with my family. The room had mould issues and the exhaust fan in the bathroom is not working. Overall condition is quite run down. Not happy with the place which I’m paying 500 a night for.

We arrived at 1945, check in was advertised as 2000 close, no one around, knocked on a couple of doors and looked around then a guy appeared and said your key is in your room, as if we should know what he meant…we had no email so didn’t know our room number. Apart from that pretty good place, very close to everything in the centre, all clean and tidy if a little dated….

Parking was difficult, carpet was covered with stains, mold in grout in showers, fans in both bathrooms didnt work, there was pealing paint in 1 bathroom and bedroom, we moved the couch slightly for easier tv viewing and there was garbage that was dated 11 days before our arrival, the dryer didnt work until we figured out how to reset it, the beds looked good untill the 2 sheets that were folded over the duvet came unfolded to reveal a filthy looking duvet with blood or blood stains on it! Could be a very nice place if it was given some attention. Nice view!

We were able to check in earlier than the normal time which was excellent as only in town due to a family member’s passing. We asked for a late check out to coincide with our departure and they were able to accommodate this with no issue. The room was much larger than we thought and was like an apartment with all the features including separate bedroom, dining room, lounge room, walk-in robe and bathroom. Modern finishings and comfortable. We were very impressed. Amazing block out blinds so we could sleep in and the room was nice and dark. We’ll definitely stay here again. Thank you to The Loft Apartment, a wonderful experience!

Location was great, property was terrible. Dishes were dirty with the bread board still having crumbs on it, the apartment was full of dust, a random sock, clothes dryer that didn’t work and to top it off, our lounge room ceiling leaked when it rained. So much that half our floor was soaked.

Our external sliding door would not lock. We told reception. Their solution, whilst we are out to dinner, leave a screw driver on the counter for us to fix it. The property remained unsecure.
Upkeep of the property is poor. There was no parking unless you paid for it, but even then it wasn’t guaranteed. The only thing this place has going for it is its location.

Roomy apartment, surprisingly quiet given location close to busy streets of Queenstown. Things I didn’t like: the apartment was too hot , making it hard to sleep: no air conditioning, just heating. Parking was very limited, but given the location, once we’d returned our hire car, the location was fantastic. Two great Indian restaurants just across the road, and a short walk to the busy and beautiful foreshore of Queenstown.

Suites are very spacious and we really appreciated being able to spread out across multiple rooms and be able to use the washing machine and kitchen that were in our apartment. The location is very convenient if you want to be right in Queenstown and the staff were extremely helpful and accommodating.
On the downside, our apartment was well overdue for refurbishment.

We stayed in a 2 bedroom and it was so homey. Water pressure wasn’t the best in the shower but beds were comfy. Single bed in the loft had its electric blanket left on from previous customers which made the loft very hot. Walking distance to everything.

The front desk staff was friendly and helpful. We did not know that parking was paid, as it said free parking upon booking. The room was clean and we were provided many towels. The beds were comfortable. The view from our room was great. The best part of this place was definitely the location, right in the city center and walking distance to restaurants, attractions and parks.

Wonderful stay. Amazing location. Check in was friendly, efficient and welcoming. Room was larger and clean. There is a boil water notice for drinking but that is the whole area, not just this hotel. The building is made of wood and creeks a bit when the upstairs person walks around at night but certainly manageable. Would definitely stay again. Very attentive.

Pay $20/day parking inside property!

Ridiculous, the guest was forced to pay $20/day for a parking within the motel property.
Traveller chose a motel to stay because we have free parking within the motel property, but the Lofts Apartments ask we pay $20/day for a parking within the Motel’s property, for which we have to pay $40 for 2 nights staying. There are only 8 parking spaces, if you are lucky enough to have a vacant on arrival and are happy to pay for $20/day, you have to do all your activities by walking, because once you get your car out, the chance to get a vacant space on return is closed to zero. The off-street parking is only for 30 minutes and all time full. Worst still, this additional charge is not advertised on their website, hotels.com should clearly state this charge to let the traveller consider it before making the booking.

The staff is extremely helpful despite the reception is not open for 24-hours. Prior communication is recommended if you need to store luggage at the hotel in early morning.

Fabulous location right in the centre of Queenstown. No hills to climb, shops directly across the road. We could pop in and out of our accomodation whenever we wanted a break or to take back parcels and go out again.
Bus just down the road straight to airport.
Warm rooms, large and spacious. Electric blankets too. Excellent towels.

Couldn’t open our curtains during the day as workers could see straight in. Could do with a privacy screen outside.

We were pleasantly greeted by the most amazing reception staff, he was friendly, accommodating and helped us park our large Campervan in the tight parking lot. The Lofts are a great spot for settling into Queenstown if you are looking for something affordable. The units are a bit dated, but for the price, you cant beat it. Probably one of the best located properties in the city, 2 minute walk to most of the major hot spots in town. The property is safe, reasonably quiet and well set up for short or long term stays.
