Unfortunately, I booked accommodation early March 2026 and received a phone call a week prior to going to Queenstown to advise they had overbooked. I then had to follow up a couple of days prior to leaving due to lack of communication. They stated they had sent confirmation of booking via email alas I did not receive until I reached out again!

They had organized alternative accommodation with their sister company - The Lofts which we were not happy with the accommodation due to lack of cleanliness, bathroom marks and stains, very old looking and doesn't even compare to the photos on their website. Money definitely needs to be spent to upgrade ... and clean under the cushions! There is a cherry on the top, the location is perfect and everything at your finger's tips, walking easy.

Very disappointed knowingly we had booked for that time being Mother's Day weekend.

There were amazing views, close to town and the bed was comfy but that is where it ended. Door had a large gap in it and it was below zero and the heater didn’t work at all. The shower head fell off the wall and the soap dispenser had been thrown off the wall. The tiles at the door were loose. Everything had been fixed in a half hearted manner. The place was very dated and even the appliances and utensils were from the 1990’s. No way this was a 4 star … more like a 2 star

Building condition was poor, the main ranch door windows had 2-3cm gaps around the whole frame. Sliders doors to balcony could not open and it looked like previous renters had used the side window to access the balcony. and the window hinges were also broken. This resulting window not able to open that well. The appartment is very tired and in need of a refit. would not stay there in the future.

The location and the view were wonderful. The bathroom was great. Kitchen needs a bit of tlc. Our dishwasher didn’t work and the supplies of crockery and cultery were pretty minimal.
Fresh towels were delivered daily which seemed a little excessive, especially given the cleaning left a bit to be desired.

Payed for a premium room but didn’t receive this as apparently they were sold out. I booked 7 weeks prior and there was a room available when I booked. Didn’t get offered any compensation for this. Instead got a ground floor room. Bedroom window wouldn’t shut so my children were cold all night. Wifi terribly slow. Bathroom towel handle fell off in my hand. Was not even attached. Wooden stool had tried to be fixed using either a paper towel or toilet paper and hadn’t worked. Place was very clean though. Would never stay here again!

The apartment did not look like what I booked! It smelled like old kitty litter. It was old and dated. The shower curtain was falling off, the hot plate wasn’t working but they did fix it. The master bedroom had no windows and was like a tomb. It was uncomfortable. Hotels.com should know this. It was nasty. It did have a parking spot and you could see the lake sort of. I expected a nice kitchen as well. I would never return

Property in excellent location. I stayed there around 20 years ago also was looking forward to being back. Was disappointed with this visit and would not stay again. Maintenance shocking(broken chairs, toilet not flushing, carpet stretched with waves creating trip hazards just to name a few).

We were very pleased with our accommodations. Right near the water, able to leave the car right in front of our room and walk everywhere. After reading some reviews say it was 80s style interior, I was not sure what to expect but found it very clean and comfortable. Well supplied with towels every day. Wifi was a bit spotty but not like we used it often. Would definitely stay here again. Enjoyable stay.

A real shame. This property could be great if was looked after well. Great views and location but….. Absolutely stank to the point we had to leave the balcony doors open all night and day to bear being in there, cleaned poorly to the point of some things being really gross (the sheet were clean we will give them that) and very badly maintained. Hope that start looking after the properties but until they do avoid!

We booked a room with a nice lake view, but it was absolutely terrible and beyond disappointing. If I could, I wouldn’t even give it one star. The description of the property was misleading and included false information.

The building was extremely old, with broken windows that frequently let bugs in. The door lock was nearly broken, and we struggled to get in every time. The dishwasher was broken, filthy, and emitted a foul smell. The washing machine was also dirty, making it difficult to use. The carpets were disgusting, with dead insects scattered around, and insect remains stuck all over the walls. One of the bedroom lights was broken, and some bedside lamps didn’t even have bulbs. A small table was broken and dangerously wobbly. The kitchen drawers were falling apart, with front panels coming off. The toilet paper holder was broken, so the toilet paper was placed directly on top of the tank. The parking lot was narrow and extremely difficult to navigate.

The cleaning was completely inadequate, with dust accumulating everywhere. During our stay, we developed nasal issues and suffered from dust allergies.

Despite requesting the staff to fix the dishwasher and clean the carpets, nothing was done. The place was unsanitary and unacceptable. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anyone under any circumstances. Very disappointed.

Perfect location. The second bedroom was very dark with almost no window to open. Parking is very tricky if you have a big car. We had a Toyota highland and couldn’t park it, because there was a bigger car parked next to ours. Luckily they had extra spots available for the 3 nights we were there.

Love the property in fact stayed there 2 years ago. Outlook over lake and mountains exquisite. Walking distance to town centre and free parking. Reception allowed us to park our car at reception after checkout, as our flights were later in the day. .The receptionists were very polite and cordial a credit to the establishment.

Two bedroom with kitchenette and ocean view. Older, not updated and wouldn't say well maintained - only adequately clean. Carpet old and believe it was that which smelled. I think. My husband and son fixed multiple things in the unit over the week. eg. Non-flushing toilet, closet door not opening / closing, drain on balcony clogged which with the amt of rain was a concern... We came in for ski vacation, rental SUV didn't fit in parkade so had to park down the street whole trip. Extra Parking was usually busy / tight as sharing with the motel, but they let us park there. Place is well located, so probably why priced how it was. We might stay again, but I would probably look around a bit for the price to be sure before I booked again. In my mind, I was paying a bit more for the lake / mountain views (outstanding), as I hung out a lot while the rest skied.

Booked two bedroom for 4 while another friend booked the same type of accommodation at the same time. My booking cost more but when we checked in we were told you’ve got the same type, “but you’re this way and you’re that way”. Our room was so small, dated, old, smelled funny and cold when we got in. My mates room was way bigger, new, second floor views and heated already. Not real happy and even my mate felt he gave us the wrong rooms….too late. Ripped off in the end.

Great location on the flat, no hills to climb and only a short stroll from town, no issues walking home late at night as a family or lone female. Good lake view and very spacious accommodation with all amenities. Drove past the other hotels and apartments we had initially considered and at $50-100 per night's difference in price, the extra spend was more than worth it, would definitely stay here again.

We did not stay at Lakefront Apartments! We were not contacted until we arrived in New Zealand that we had been bumped to their sister accommodation - The Lofts!
Communication was disgusting and although the people at the Lofts were helpful - the apartment had a leaking roof, no cutlery to chop or slice vegetables, no plug for the kitchen sink. On the last night we had no power due to the road works this was not told to us until we went to find out why we had no power!! Would not recommend ever! Why were we not at the lakefront apartments when our booking was made 8months previous?????

We were friends traveling together and loved the spacious apartment with several balconies over looking the lake. The views were amazing. It was a quick 5 minute walk to the center of town. The only complaint we had was that the WIFI was barely usable as we were the furthest away from the office providing it.

The apartment was great, roomy and very close to town. The parking was challenging and given the traffic it would have been helpful to have been forewarned. If we knew what to expect it would have been easier.
All the chairs and barstools were old and broken or worn out. Replacements would be a great improvement

The images online were not representative of the properly which actually the lodges not lakefront apartments - it is in poor condition. Carpets a trip hazard. Leaking water through light fittings. No cooling in bedrooms. Slip hazard bathroom tiles. Quilt covers dusty. Would not recommend for the outrageous price - very disappointing property

We booked this suite 6 months out from our holiday. Then, 12 hours before we got on the plane, we got a one-sentence to say that the hotel was closed for maintenance, and they moved us to another \"sister\" apartment. The place they put us in would not have been our choice, but we had to take it because we had no warning. We checked this apartment while on holiday, and it did appear that guests were staying there. I would be very cautious dealing with this company.

apartment is very good and i enjoyed my stay overthere. Would put 2 problems to this property, no reception, took me 45 mins to find someone who told me to go to the apartments next door and get my key.
Second problem, cleaning after the first night was bad, apart from that, great place to stay

Very old and tired property. Shouldn't be classified as an apartment. It's completely not the same as per advertised. The front desk person completely not concern about my complain regarding the apartment. Completely dishonest for the whole thing.
Rooms can't be lock. Some handles completely pull out. Rooms smelly. Construction happening next door and downstairs. It's totally unsafe for residents. Will never booked with Expedia again or stay at this awful place again.

The location is idyllic. Views from the apartment are superb. The apartment was very clean and well maintained. The amenities provided were excellent. Awful place to stay. The property was not part of the building described (they use the same name across 3 different accomodation types). There was no checkin instructions. The receptionist was rude when we couldn’t find the location of the reception (in a seperate building to the hotel we had booked). Could not find the room way up the hill. This was because the room was in a block of units undergoing construction, surrounded by scaffolding. Dirty from construction. Heavy noises right outside the windows. No notice from reception. Avoid.

The cleanliness and overall state of the apartments is seriously lacking, considering we paid top dollar for our 3 nights. The bathroom in our first unit was dirty and the next was straight out of the 1970s, including a shower over the bath. Not ideal for anyone with accessibility issues and really not good enough for the price. The view in the front units is great, but you’ll need to clarify that you have a front unit if this is what you want. Overall, a bit disappointing.

Great location and views. A little dated dining chair repaired with a sharp nail on the seat. Toilet seat was loose from fitting which my husband repaired. Someone kept going into our outdoor area when we were out and cigarette butts left on the ground. Had to park at adjoining property.The views and convenience to the town city were the highlight.

The apartments are incredibly outdated
While clean, the bed mattress had rips all over it (which we knew because the linen doesn't stay on the bed) and was incredibly old and uncomfortable. the TV only \"works\" analogue but is grey and static the entire time so there's no point watching it.
Our particular apartment was up a lot of external narrow stairs so keep that in mind if you have a lot of furniture

The location though cannot be beaten.

Great location, no hills to walk up or down while going into town. Close location to town. Kitchen poorly stocked, ie not enough glasses for all guests. New bath rooms and new carpet throughout. We would stay here again.
