Really great amenenties with the sauna, hot tub and bikes. Room and bathrooms clean. Wall are thin so heard a lot of walking around and movement but the hotel does a good job of strongly reminding everyone to be quiet during sleeping hours and everyone was curteous about that. Great location. Nice staff and early drop off of luggage was allowed which was helpful.

The Black sheep backpackers was incredible. The staff are friendly and professional. The facilities were excellent. The dorm rooms are clean with ample storage and a privacy curtain. The beds were comfortable and warm during the winter season. The kitchen has everything you could need to prepare your meals. There is good storage for food in the fridge and a place for dry goods. The hot tub and sauna are real assets. Great after a day skiing biking or hiking or just to relax. Above all, the highlight to this property is the people you meet. All ages and backgrounds are welcome and mingle to share experiences and make new memories. Don’t hesitate. Book this hostel. You won’t be disappointed. 😊

Although there were 2 bathrooms I found them to not have enough hanging space, bathroom benches were small and often wet to put anything on. Had to use toilet paper to wipe dry, no paper towels. The second shower offered no privacy to change or dress or shelf to put shampoo etc on

When booking our reservation, there were definitely a few potentially concerning reviews, but frankly I have to wonder if those people understood they were booking at a hostel. The overall experience was quite good -- my partner and I stayed in one of the private rooms and while it was a nice stay. Bed was quality, good black-out blinds for the windows. Heater was very effective. Helpful friendly staff.
Objectively, the fact that you have to go outside and walk a bit to access the bathroom and the bathroom needs a keycode to enter becomes a bit annoying, but you do not need your phone to enter the bathroom as one reviewer seemed to think.

We enjoyed our stay for 2 nights in Queenstown. The location was close to the Queenstown gardens and to many nice restaurants and shopping. We also rented bikes from the hostel and biked all around the Frankton Arm. The hot tub and outdoor seating were a bonus as well!

Private room was good size and comfortable, but there was nowhere to hang a towel. Would’ve been good to have a socket by the bed and a lamp in the room. Hostel itself has nice facilities - good kitchen for cooking, big communal lounge area which always has someone in it, outdoor tables, clean bathrooms and showers. Staff were friendly and helpful. Location is close to town but a short walk up a hill. There were a lot of long term stays which did make the social vibe a bit different and maybe not so geared towards solo travellers just passing through for a few days, although everyone I spoke to was really nice.

It was cheap in price but understandably...rooms are tiny, advertised free parking but this refers to \"find your own on the street\", advertised as \"family room\" but no toilet or bathroom as picture lead me to believe and bunks had no safety rails for the kids, lounge room full of foreigners lying over furniture talking innappropriately so not child friendly, stated no drinking after 830pm but everyone was. Friendly and helpful staff and cheap...get what you pay i guess

We enjoyed our time at The Black Sheep, close to town, friendly staff and very good amenities. The family room was very good and having the little bar fridge in the room was awesome. A bit bummed we missed out on the spa though but that was us just getting back too late.

The advertised shower only in the room is false. They should have clearly indicated that they only have shared a
Shower. Also, this is the first backpacker or motel i went to that required the guest to return the sheets and pillow cases at thereception upon checkout. The room was not soundproof at all - this is another false advert. But it was clean though. We also did not get any toiletries - it was supposed to be provided as per advertised.

I was very impressed with the lodge. I was dubious staying in a backpackers (I am nearly 60) but was impressed from the moment walking in. The place is clean, comfortable, has parking, spa pool, great kitchen and laundry facilities. My bed was very comfy, nice sheets and warm as toast when those radiators came on. Great for wet ski gear. The showers were powerful and hot, the ablution area was spotlessly clean. Well done Black Sheep, I will certainly book here again

Amazing stay
This is a great place to stay while visiting Queenstown, this was my first solo trip and obviously I’ve heard some weird stuff about hostels, I was hoping to stay at some weird crazy place but it was actually more than what I expected! Cool installations, nice and respectful people while I stayed there, the only thing I would’ve loved is the staff promoting more group parties, it was kinda dead, not really a hostel to make friends I would say, it’s close to everything so car is not needed unless you want to do activities that require driving. Overall a great experience.

This was one of my favorite backpakers in New Zealand. Trendy place in great location close to restaurants. There were 3 of us and we got our own clean 3 bedroom. Unfortunately we didn’t have time to use it but computer/lounge area looked so comfy after a long day touring town.

This was by far the best youth hostel I've ever stayed in. It was so clean, modern, quiet, wi-fi worked, room was large sized, kitchen was so organised and clean. The location is great, can easily walk in to the centre of town. Scored free parking out the front too!

クイーンズタウン中心部から徒歩10分程度、空港から市内のシャトルバスの停留所から徒歩5分と非常に便利なロケーションにあります。初めてこの手の施設を利用したので最初使い方には戸惑いましたがスタッフさんが丁寧に教えてくれます。（専用のアプリをダウンロードしてチェックイン、ルームキーやお風呂のキーも、そのアプリに表示される形です）
