Room was comfortable. We had a cancellation of flight so didn’t arrive for our first night. I rang Scenic Suites and told them that I would definitely be arriving for the second night. Unfortunately when we arrived we had been put down as a no show and our room booked out. Note to self: always get the name of the person you talk too for reference. Another room was found for us but wasn’t the 2 queen beds we originally booked but 1 queen bed. Back down to reception to explain even though we had the same last name I was travelling with my brother. They split the bed so we had a single bed each, were offered a different room with 2 queen beds but was over it by now and just went with the 2 singles.. 😮‍💨

Scenic Suites is a beautiful property. Views are exquisite, the rooms are large, beautifully decorated and lovely to stay in. The staff is super friendly and accommodating. You can walk to the main part of town very easily, but there is a hill! The elevators can be a little glitchy and there is parking but it is limited. We ate at the restaurant for the first time and it was very nice. Overall we love it! Will definitely stay again.

I’ve stayed in approximately 12 hotels in the very recent past. This was the most expensive one for the least quality. The property and apartment were dated and worn. I moved to another apartment hotel property close by and it is half the price and twice as nice.

Loved our two night stay in a one bedroom suite. It had all you could want and more including a washer /dryer. Great location! The centre of town was just a short down the very steep hill. Parking included and breakfast included was a bonus. One small suggestion. Peanut butter at breakfast please.

This property is on a busy road so it’s a bit noisy. It’s a 10 minute walk down to the water’s edge where there is loads of shopping and restaurants. Beware, the climb back up is steep. Keep that in mind if you are older or have a pram to push.

The room was spotless and the location is great. Even though you are in a busy area, our room was quiet and we had a good night sleep. The included parking spot was great considering you need to pay for parking pretty much everywhere in the town. The fact that restaurants are within 5 minutes walking distance make it very convenient without your car. I strongly recommend Ferg's burger for breakfast if you are staying at this place. Get a cup of hot chocolate next door in the Ferg's bakery, make sure you get the Belgium hot chocolate. Their tarts are amazing too :)

This hotel has everything. We stayed in 6 hotels on this trip and Scenic suites provided everything a good hotel supposed to. First it’s location, very close to the downtown like 7 mins walk. Room security is great, the room is spacious with dinning area, living room area with big TV, balcony, full kitchen with kitchenette, a washing machine and a dryer. Bedroom with a very comfy bed, a big builtin wardrobe. Bathroom with a bathtub and a shower separately. All shampoos, conditioner supplies. Very spacious bathroom with everything you need and more. The only down side is there is no connection elevator that goes directly to the reception. You either have to walk outside around the carpark to the reception or 1 elevator down to level 1 then walked up the hill inside the building then out the fire door, walked pass 2 doors of the other section then up a ramp then down another elevator to the reception. It wouldn’t be too bed if you are young and healthy. My dad has knees issues so it was painful for him to drag a big luggage around the building to the reception.

I would highly recommend! The view!! I had an Earnslaw room on the 3rd floor. It overlooked the lake, town, mountains and gondola. Balcony, panaroma window view, large open space including dining table, sofa, full kitchen including laundry. The bathroom and bedroom were spacious. The staff were helpful and friendly. Plenty of places in town to eat/drink so you aren’t tied to the hotel. Parking is underground and very limited. Plus a hill to walk back up from the CBD. Those aren’t complaints - just for information. I would definitely stay here again.

The property has a central location and modern-looking suites with an updated kitchen, but beyond that, the value does not match the price. The views are average, and there are nearby properties with better views and lower rates.

Service execution further reduces value. Check-in and check-out are enforced very rigidly, with staff or the reception name Holly, explicitly stating that even one minute past checkout would result in extra charges, creating a transactional rather than hospitable experience.

We had two separate bookings due to last-minute travel changes. While staff initially indicated they would try to keep us in the same room (and we were flexible, even willing to downgrade), communication later changed and no accommodation was possible. They told that we could keep the first room for slightly after the checkout time until next gets ready but later denied.
Despite the modern kitchen, equipment quality was poor: a badly scratched non-stick pan, a corusted toaster, and a non-functioning coffee machine. coffee machine issues were not resolved before checkout and we were advised to drink instant coffee
The bed was extremely uncomfortable and caused back pain to both of us, and a short checkout extension for 20-30 mins to rest the back was denied, despite housekeeping mentioning not needing the room immediately.

Overall, the property looks modern but pricing, service flexibility, and in-room quality do not align, making it poor value compared to alternatives nearby.

did advise when i booked that it was a special occasion as turned 70 and look after me,but apon arrival know ecknowledge of my birthday day so did ask and we got a drink shouted with our meal also had asked for late check out when booked but was advised ask at hotel then told ask on last day and was refused late check out,only wanted 1 hour,staff on reception look like they just got out of school,to young and not exspeienced enough,we have stayed in 5 star hotels around the world and they look after their elders,very disappointing,staff in restaurant very good,

We recently stayed at Scenic Suites Queenstown for a holiday and had a wonderful experience. From the moment we arrived, the staff were friendly and made us feel welcome. Our room was very comfortable and surprisingly quiet, which made for a relaxing stay. We especially enjoyed the beautiful view of the snow-capped mountains right from our window.

We found the location very convenient for getting in and out, whether we were heading into town or exploring further afield. While the underground parking was often full, we never had an issue finding a space on the street nearby, which was a great alternative.

Overall, it was a fantastic, stress-free holiday. We'd happily stay here again on our next trip to Queenstown

Our room was beautiful but obviously smokers had been it. Smell was so strong and we are not smokers. Everytime I book a property I’m going ask for it to be a non smokers room.it was so strong. House keeping must of known very strong smelling.
Other than this the property was great.

Our stay was truly wonderful. We stayed in the one bedroom apartment. The views were breathtaking, we tried to have as many meals in the room as possible to take advantage of it.
The room was very spacious and the bed was super comfortable. The staff are also very friendly and the room service was great. I cannot fault anything and was sad to leave - can’t wait to stay again!

We loved the room, the property was clise to the town centre, the bed was super comfy, the bathroom clean and a bath. Water pressure was mint.
The only thing wrong was the hallway, opened up to two apartments, side by side. Are the doors. So they were super loud with coming and going x2 doors due to the fact the main, banged then the next doors. Could hear them talking next door at 10pm, we had a 7 year old and i dont sleep well. There was no toaster or microwave. Which was inconvenient.

This location was at the top of the hill above the busy Queenstown CBD area, which was convenient for us. We had a balcony with partial views of the lake and seating, but as it rained every day, we never got a chance to use the (wet) chairs. The restaurant was good for our arrival as we were exhausted after 28 hr traveling. There is a fitness center that was decently equipped but quite small. Saw a hot tub but it was covered and didn’t find out how/when it was available. As we are active and fit, was great for us but might not recommend this place for those with limited mobility as the multiple building layout could be tricky to get around.

Amazing welcome to Queenstown

I booked a lake view room for 1 night stay. I asked to have an early check in so I could park my car and they gladly got a room ready, and SURPRISE somehow they got me a free room upgrade to a balcony room, what a magical view and room with a big bed and kitchen and tv. Service was excellent and the staff, forgot the girls name but she was there 1pm on November 21st massive shout out everyone that day!
The room was amazing, the hotel entrance is beautiful and relaxing. The main hotel hallways were iffy, it can be confusing and the staircases needed improvement and took a few reminders to get me to my room but staff were very helpful. Looked like they were also renovating some rooms and they were fairly quite even during the day, and keeping it clean too.
The parking of the biggest weakness but the staff and workers were amazing and very helpful, even allowed me to extend my parking stay until I left the city the next day.

Some notes:
Hotel is up a steep hill from downtown, don't mind some exercise but it's STEEP, but anyone can do it so have fun just don't plan on going back and forth.
Ask for a map lol.
Coffee is a 10/10 and restaurant is fancy.

I would 100% stay here again, lake view and balcony rooms look very nice and full cable and streaming on the TV, full kitchen, 10/10 bathroom, 1000/10 king size bed. Amazing views of the city and lake and mountains too!

Fabulous! Our unit had over 700 sq ft and was just like staying in a well appointed fully furnished apt.
It had a great kitchen with a washer and dryer. It had an ouside patio with access off the bedroom and dining room. Lots of floor to ceiling windows so could admire the view. A great bathroom with a separate shower and nice soaking tub.

Really enjoyed our stay.
Great room, comfy bed and sofa. Tv and large kitchen was a bonus. Warm room with heat pump.
Great for easy walking access to town. Just a short walk. Up hill on the way back but not just a short burst.
Parking is first in first served but we managed to get a park on the street.
Overall would absolutely stay again.

We enjoyed a 1 night stay here. My husband checked in, but it sounds like that was easy and friendly. Secure undercover parking and walking distance to town. Everything was clean and comfortable. Although on a busy road, we had no issue with road noise.

The 2 things I could mention that we noticed that slightly detracted from our stay, is our room shared a small foyer with the next room. So two doors to get in and out of the room, both of which are quite noisy when they close. The other thing was the shower leaked all over the floor, despite the door being closed correctly.

Other than that, really enjoyed our stay, thank you.

Bed was not comfortable and old. It was sunken in the middle, where a lot of people must have laid in before.
This place shares a lobby with Heartland Hotel and is confusing to get to. The elevator is very spotty and slow where the lights on the buttons don’t always work and you’re not sure whether you’ll get to the floor you need to go.
The room itself was big and the bathroom was nice, but given all the above comments I wouldn’t stay again.
It is located on top of a hill and may be difficult to walk to.

Check in was great but parking on site was a nightmare, especially with roadworks going on. We had to carry our luggage from nearby streets through a maze of corridors and lifts and when you have a knee injury, it’s not good. Luggage trolleys would be a good idea for sure. Room was clean and comfortable.

Great apartment in Queenstown.

It’s a little out of town and up a hill but less than 15 mins walk.

We loved the washer and drier in the room and small kitchen. The suite had a dining table and sofa and comfortable chair. The views were very good, although most hotels have great views in Queenstown. There was a dish washer too.

Parking in the basement was great, to problems with parking.

Property is not meant for 1-2 night stays and for one couple as they have combined two room together with one entry door and subsequently each room having their own entry but entry and exit for adjacent room creates noise and disturbs. Room we stayed in did not have patio door locking in and no service was available to fix. Their bathroom plumbing issues caused extreme hot or cold water options only. Location of the hotel is good and had enough parking underground.

Our room was not ready We arrived at 1.45pm a little early. Got our key at 2.45pm. Staff were pleasant but offered nothing I asked that our check out be pushed back the next morning. Gave me an extra half an hour. We had a unit It was great. The entryway had 2 room doors off it, not a great first impression needed a clean.

Check in was quick but took 2 hours to find the parking, manager was not concerned. His attitude was parking is first come basis and suggested to go down hill about two block to find. Hotel lay out is extremely confusing and not a senior friendly hotel at all . Area was very nice and in the heart of night district and there are much more better properties available

This spot was just outside of the main downtown and served us well for one night. Our room was nicely laid out. There were a few stray hairs in our bathroom but otherwise very clean. Only downside was the on-site breakfast was steep at $30NZD per person which felt a tad high considering the price did not include barista coffee or freshly prepped items like eggs, pancakes or waffles. It was fine, just overpriced.
