Did not clean our room unless we asked we were there for five days. They don’t know how to read the door plaque, which said clean room, please too fast. The manager had to clean our room one night, which is a matter of fresh towels and face claws. also, when requiring a room, please do it in the current currency of the country. We are not all US citizens.

We had a gorgeous view of river and mountains, which we paid for. The room was clean but looks tired and needs freshening up.
The staff we met were friendly and helpful.
The room signage was confusing.
Overall a great stay for 1 night.

No aircon, we had 3 pple in room & each day had to ring for a 3rd towel they kept leaving 2 only. Beware you have to park on road which can be very hard finding a park or $15 a night for their carpark but we were then told we couldn’t as we had a van & it was too high. Very noisy pple at night & early morning with room doors banging, sounds like its your bedroom door. Slamming. Note it is walkable to town but note it is quite a steep hill. Very comfy beds though

Paid extra for a lake view balcony room and the views were good. I paid at the property but was charged in GBP which ended up with a charge of £40 higher than the NZ$ rate. The room was uncomfortably hot at night with no air conditioning, just a floor standing fan. Comfortable bed and pillows. Bit dated. Staff helpful.

I dont know what standards people have when they leave a 4 star or 5 star reviews. i stayed at this property and this property is bad. It looks nothing like in the pictures. There is a review with view of a lake...there is no view of a lake as shown in the photos. Parking was pain, as you have to park in the street. The rooms were small and overall the hotel was not good

There was no air circulation and ventilation for the room. It was stuffy and hot all day and night. They offered a small table fan that helps with cooling just a little bit but without air circulation it was suffocating in the room. The staff suggested to keep the window open but just keeping one window open without cross ventilation doesn’t circulate air into the room. I was not looking for air conditioning, just ventilated room with air circulation should not be too much to ask for a hyper expensive room.

Outstanding stay at this property. Close to the town center just 10m walk. We had booked 6 nights stay and during check in upgraded our room to lake view with 60$/night which was worth as it gave us stunning view of lake and mountains and we had 2nd floor room which was connected to the lawn garden.. staff is friendly and helpful. Overall excellent stay

Changed towels made bed and replenished refreshments only.

Sadly as a solo traveller at breakfast I found my table was cleared whilst I was waiting for hot food to be replenished by the waiting staff,
despite leaving a water bottle on the table.

Where to start. At first, this hotel seemed perfect! Great location, a massive room, friendly staff, and an amazing view. We had 4 nights booked. After the second night, I woke up itchy. I just assumed it was the sandflies that everyone spoke of. The third night my father complained they were itchy as well. I also was significantly more itchy. I tore back the sheets and the picture showes what I found. There was a cleaner in the hallway so I told them. They immediately called thier supervisor and the supervisor confirmed that it looked like bed bugs. She stated she would speak to the front desk and spmeone would call the room.
I recieved a phone call that they had another room available and we could move. We packed up our luggage and I went to check the next room. They moved us from 1455 to 1437. Sure enough, that room had signs of bed bugs too. Less eggs, but more sheds. Still gross. The mattress looked terrible.
I went and told front desk that I wanted a refund and wanted to check out. I was informed that they were not able to issue a refund due to it being a weekend. I believe I was speaking with the duty manager. They stated that because I booked on Expedia, they had not recieved payment from Expedia, so they could not do anything.
This seemed like such a passive uncaring answer. I asked if calling Expedia was my next step. They said I could try. Thank goodness for Expedia. They offered me a credit and convinced the hotel to let me check out a day early. The hotel would o

My room had a stunning view. Hotel is in a great location, I didn’t need a car, I walked everywhere. It’s a big hotel so staff isn’t too friendly or eager to help. It was clean - enough. At least in the important areas - bed and bathroom. Corners of my windows had cob webs and at some point a former guest had finger drew some pictures in the dust on the glass - which looks out at the view so hard to miss. Also, it’s hard to describe the weirdness of the hallways to the rooms - you go from a nice lobby to…damaged hallway walls and a 1970’s feel. They are also very long. It was good for what it is.

The Hotel was not up to the standard i thought it was. Check in was ok but it took too long and i felt the receptionist Maiko didnt really know what she was doing. The room was definitely worth the price but the view was stunning. I didnt like the shower over the bath it was difficult for my elderley husband to manage. Overall i didnt find the staff very friendly and when i went to chack out the receptionist english lady no name badge)and another chap behind the desk ignored for about 5 minutes which i thought was really rude. So overall poor customer service and a below average hotel that needs ugrading!

I had a wonderful stay at your hotel and thoroughly enjoyed the lakeside view from my room. The scenery was absolutely stunning and added a peaceful touch to my visit. The room itself was clean and comfortable.

I loved the view of the lake & mountains from my room. Such a magical sight to wake up to. My steak was cooked to perfection. Could taste the love in the food and the staff were very accommodating.
The only improvement over all would be to update their guest laundry with new washing machines & dryers to facilitate the number of guests onsite.

The shower curtain kept sticking on your body whilst taking shower - very unhygenic. The sink was getting blocked

When I called Room Service for cutlery and a couple of dinner plates, I was told that there would be charge of $5. Never heard that before.

The reception was left in the hands of a trainee, which is not fair. There should be a permanent staff monitoring and assisting the trainee.

Once again this is my third stay here and it’s all about location and view. This time got the suite with balcony and that’s a game changer, taking in the amazing view through a window is nice but sitting outside taking in the cool clean air is worth the extra money. I still believe the whole place is in need of some serious updating but is very clean and staff amazing. Food options still not great. But would be happy to stay here again

Hotel is very outdated. It was like a maze trying to find the room and it was no where near the car park. There was also stairs only to get to the level we were on which was not good with suitcases.
The shower burnt us a number of times as it would just suddenly change to boiling temperature on its own.
Our room also was next to an exit door and the road which didn’t leave it feeling very secure or private. I have been to Queenstown a few times now and would definitely look for other accommodation.

Loved the staff, helpful as due to the size of hotel we had to get directions a couple of times from the lobby to our room in another block/ wing of the hotel. Staff provided a map and other and staff were helpful when asked. The view from our room was gorgeous of the mountains. There is path through a local park which is close by that you can take to the center of Queenstown with restaurants and stores. Ate a couple of times at on site restaurant and service and food was good.

Room was pretty nice, but we had an issue with the fan in the bathroom, it would not go off, so we called reception and the guy said it will go off after 10 minutes or so, but it did not go off, so we spoke to reception again and the guy said nothing he can do as he was on his own and basically refused to come to the room, we finally got to sleep after a few hours but it stayed on all night, we can out of our room and the electrician onsite was there dnd we told him and he said he would make note of it, then as we went to the next level the housekeeping manager was there and we mentioned to him and he said I bet that was a pain, he said speak with the duty manager who was on reception and she basically said they are on all night, some are louder than others, we don’t know which ones are louder, we mentioned that we had spoken to the guy on reception the night before and that he would not come down to our room and she even said he was not on his own do could have popped to our room, basically it seems nobody knows that the fans are on all night, the staff will not come and help and refuse to come and help, they lie and say they are on there own to get out of coming, and after telling the lady duty manager all this she really did not want to know, she gave us an very lose apology and that was it, didn’t care that the staff had lied to us, I stay in loads of hotels every year and we were looking forward to a night here, if loud fans affect you sleeping do not stop here please!!

Beautiful views of the lake and mountains. Close to Town. Walkable to everything in town. The room was quaint and cozy. The resort is older than some of the newer resorts nicely maintained. The lobby and restaurant has great views. No elevator available to some of the rooms so you will need to carry your luggage. They do have porters to assist. I would recommend this hotel and would return.

Property was very tired and needs an up grade, especially for the price of the rooms. We booked 2 rooms with king size beds, and got both rooms with 2 double beds. The toilet broke in one room, but they couldn’t move us because the hotel was full. Breakfast buffet was okay, but much better value to walk into town and buy something there. Lake view was very small, not at all what I expected from the photos.

You could hear showers and toilets flushing from neighboring rooms, not very well insulated. It was somewhat difficult to navigate the different levels and \"blocks\" that comprise the hotel. The lake view was beautiful.

Disappointing from the start. Our room was not available even though we checked in on time. The room we were given instead was absolutely roasting hot and dirty. The toilet still had paper down it! The second room was better but tv remote didn’t work. Breakfast was very basic. This was the most expensive hotel of our trip - and by far the worst. Would not recommend this hotel.

The room had no air conditioning and was like a sauna! Staff provided a fan, but definitely a disadvantage not to have aircon. Corridors and lift could have used a vacuum. Although our room was clean.
There is no signage and the layout of the hotel is difficult to navigate without pointers. We spent sometime trying to find our way around.
The private hot tub was nice but a very basic facility.

Issue with Expedia: Was promised a room with a view but when reached property, there were no room with view available. Had to spend lot of time talking with the Hotel and then with Expedia executive before we can check-in. Ultimately received a refund of $60 and had to take whatever was available.

Issue with Hotel:
No air conditioning there was a table fan which couldn't cover whole room.
Bathroom was not stocked , floor was not clean or vaccumed
Coffee maker was filthy.
Overall staff was good and very helpful but the room we got was terrible.

We trust Expedia when we do booking so Expedia should have some accountability when we don't get what we are promised or have paid for.

The property needs an upgrade. The room we got the walls were yellow. The room was very dated. We moved to another room and it wasnt much better for the price. The plis points the bed, shower and jet bath.

For the price we paid, this hotel was lacking. The breakfast buffet was just not good. Like barely decent. And even though we had prepaid for the breakfast, by day 3 we skipped it altogether. Just so very blah. And also, the cleaning crew came around 6pm and 4pm respectively both. Nights, as in when we had returned from a day being out, our room still hadn’t been cleaned. For the price we paid, this hotel was definitely blah. *Note: great location and gorgeous lakeside view.

Do not stay. There is no air conditioning. The windows don't have screens. I couldn't sleep as there were bugs buzzing around me all night. This is not a 4 star hotel in the USA...not even a 3 star. If it were in the US it would be 2.5 stars max. The hotel caters to Chinese tourists who probably have different expectations.

The junior suite I had was tad dated, however, the lakeviews more than made up for it. The bed was comfy and the room was clean & tidy. Didn't quite get the opportunity to try out the in-house restaurants. Staff were courteous.
The resort is within walkable distance to the town centre and to the Queenstown Gardens. Will definitely return next time.
