I rented the Studio apartment on level 8 (top level) and it made for a perfect base for my 5-night stay in Queenstown. It is equipped with all* the \"mods and cons\" needed for a very comfortable stay - induction cooker, microwave, sink, fridge, dishwasher, aircon, TV, HiFi and spa bath.

Parking was also easy - there are multiple carparks in the complex.

Being located just a short walk from town was also invaluable and meant for more time exploring the town.

Staff were polite and helpful, with good instructions over email too.

Overall, a great stay at The Glebe and I will be back!


*Unlike most apartments at The Glebe, the Studio apartment I stayed in doesn't physically have its own washing machine or dryer, so instead the staff provide a free laundry service to the Studio via provision of a laundry bag for guests to fill and deposit

Good location but our bedrooms did not have any external windows. The only windows are to the main corridor where the lights were turned on all night long. We had to ask for blackouts to be fitted in the windows to be able to sleep.

There was construction going on at the back of the property right by our windows. Which was not told to us prior to booking or even when checking in. No air conditioning, which isn’t good in the summer heat. Also they promised a small refund and didn’t give us a refund in USD even though that’s how we paid. So they didn’t give us a what they promised for the inconvenience.

Wonderful staff made up for downsides

First of all i have to say that the staff were amazing and the room itself was all good as well.
Unfortunately, that is where the good points finish
- apartments were on a street with over a 35° gradient so most definitely not for the disabled
- access to apartment through the garage
- building work on 3 sides starting at 7am (even at the weekend)

But at least it's within walking distance of the main city areas. Not a big walk up the hill. Parking was OK.
There was a bit of construction scaffolding etc during the stay, but no construction active during the holiday season between Xmas and NY. The lift was not working, so lucky not too many flights of stairs.

Classic apartments for the adventourous

Queenstown, a popular destination for jet setters, honey mooners and tourists. Dont be discouraged by a town that might be recognised by its rising bottle stores than its apostolic cathedrals.

If you are seeking art and inspiration, you will find it at the Glebe apartments. Our family stayed in the Crichton Suite with a scenic view.

As we settled into the apartment. We were flawed by the attention to detail, and somewhat confused by some family photos left behind. The self-service room had everything you would expect from everyday kitchen utensils, to ample storage, to a comfortable holiday-living space and netflix entertainment for those camp nights.

The facilities were in great working order, fully equipped and staff on site made you feel welcome. The private cark park was easy to access and provided extra lockers.

You will notice two courtyards filled with flower gardens, situated between the apartments. In theory, if one of these courtyards was converted into a swimming pool with a bar serving refreshments this would morph the Glebe atmosphere into a classic summer destination.

But who would complain, when the Glebe is in a prime location. Family friendly and shouts convenience at an exceptional price!

The room is absolutely massive and the couches super comfy. On site parking was great too. There was a reasonable amount of road noise that could be heard from the bedroom so light sleepers will need to drink more beer also the shower pressure was pretty low in our room.

My family and I stayed at the apartment while we were visiting Queenstown. The apartment was generally comfortable with all the necessary facilities, but nothing too special to shout about. However, it was certainly a plus point that the place is within walking distance to the town amenities as parking could be a problem at the town centre.

Super convenient location to restaurants and supermarket less than 5 mins walk away. Good basket of thoughtful goodies and fridge was stocked with milk- thoughtful touches. Would stay here again. Just be aware some of the penthouses are accessed by lifts and then you need to walk up a flight of steps, so best to check if travelling with elderly etc

Disappointing ground floor flat

Beware of ground floor Appartments with no privacy: we had to live with curtains drown and windows shut to avoid the vis-à-vis, the noise and the smoke from cigarettes and barbecues. The pictures on Hotels.com show the best Appartments, this is not at all what we got. Tired, cheap furniture and inflexible reception left us very disappointed of a very expensive place.

Unit 102 roadside. Beautiful condo, fully stocked with kitchen appliances and utensils, full laundry, big living room and pretty, private patio (the only place road noise was an issue). The one tiny niggle would be the light sensor in the corridor outside does not turn on when exiting the apartment until you are half way down the corridor. FYI, There is a minute amount of light from a green “Exit” sign until the full light comes on.

4 Bedroom Great for Large Groups

Loved the Glebe and will definitely be our choice of stay next time. We had a group of 8 (4a+4c) and fitted in the 4 bedroom apartment with ease. It was extremely spacious and well laid out. The living/dining area was enormous and plenty of room for the kids to play. A very short walk to town which was very convenient. The only downfall, and it’s only minor, the room was not serviced enough. I would think every three days would be better suited for a group that large even though we had vacuumed and kept it tidy. We had a nine night stay and only once refreshed.
Highly recommend this wonderful place. We’ll be back.

Great central place to stay.

We stayed in room 303. We are a family and just rented a trundler bed also. Room was lovely and had everything we needed. Everything is in the room to make it a home away from home. Pots, pans, loads of coffee and tea. Sandwich press, crock pot, fridge freezer, dish drawer, washing machine and dryer. (our dryer didn't work and in all fairness, I forgot to let them know)
The beds were fine and we were supplied with enough towels for our stay. The room was lovely and warm when we arrived and the heating was superb. Maybe a little too good.
We didn't need to hire a car as we walked everywhere. The Gondolas were not too far.

Comfy stay within the town

Couple of mins walk to the restaurants and shops. Stay was pleasant and staff were nice. Manager was able to provide portable heater promptly even after hours when reception was closed. All in all a pleasant stay.

Arrived early and allowed into room straight away. Apartment was very comfortable and handy to town. A couple of maintenance issues need resolving.
