The staff were very kind and tried to do all they could to ensure our honeymoon was great. The food was delicious and they cleaned our room really nicely every day. Sylvester is the man. He’s made us feel very at home!

We had the 2 bedroom apartment (Lakeside) which was very spacious, very well maintained and the amenties were excellent. Being Lakeside, the outlook was unbelievable. There's a bus stop directly across the road to take you into town and one outside the property to bring you back. Ubers and taxis are also easily available. The staff were excellent and very knowledgeable. This was an excellent hotel in a very scenic location. Would thoroughly recommend this property.

The property has beautiful views and is not a terrible walk to town. Just a steeper hike uphill when you walk back to the hotel from town. The bed was the best I have slept on while in New Zealand! Very comfortable.

Spacious room. Bathroom a little outdated but otherwise ok, nice little patio ours had a view of the gardens, the bed super plush and soft. Reception staff friendly and explained everything we needed to know. Walking distance to central Queenstown about 10mins, the short walk up the hill on returning was fine for us, others perhaps not. Noticed at the back of the service area at our exit door some dead plants in planters and a little run down, would be easy to solve to match the rest of the well looked after gardens.

Overall the hotel was fine. Room was clean, breakfast was good. I would probably have given 4 out of 5 stars. However, the parking situation is really not great. There are If you are driving and have any heavy luggage, you may end up having to drag your bags . In hindsight, it also occurs to me they never offered a porter for my bags or valet service. That’s the short version. The long version is the hotel is built on a hillside and there are three separate guest buildings. There is an underground parking garage under each building, each with its own elevator up to that building only. So if you don’t (or can’t) park in the garage under your building, it’s a long walk to your room, and you will need to take different elevators. Hard to explain and that may be why the receptionist did not explain it to me at check-in. I’m not sure what the fix is - maybe a valet or porter.

The hotel was absolutely amazing. Perfect location right near the middle of town but in a lovely spot away from the crowded areas. Get a lakefront room- you won't be disappointed! We were stunned by the beauty from our balcony.

Staff support lacking. They said we had charges on the room for coffee, we didn’t order any coffee our whole stay.
They didn’t believe us when I said this and went to check their cameras to see if we did charge $21 worth of coffee. This took a long time at checkout and eventually came back trying to guess how the error happened, no apologies.

The room didn’t have coffee pods… which is a bit disappointing for this price… also was the first room in 35 nights away across Asia and Australia/New Zealand that still had plastic bottles of shampoo!! But a decent hotel…

Bus stop right outside hotel. Easy to get to and from the airport. Within walking distance to town. Helpful and friendly staff. Balcony with view of forest and Lake Wakatipu. Very comprehensive amenities. The only minor imperfection was the bathroom constantly permeated an odour that resembled urine. There was no obvious soiling however.

Beware: the photos of this hotel are way nicer than the reality. I’m sad to write this review as I booked this place for a special Christmas Day stay my husband and I were really looking forward to, and it was not cheap ($777 NZ a night plus a parking fee!). Sadly, it’s very run down. Our room could only be described as beat up. There wasn’t a single piece of furniture in the room that wasn’t chipped, the walls were scuffed behind belief, surfaces were dusty, there were handprints on the headboard, the conditioner bottle was totally empty (found out mid-shower), the bathroom smelled like mildew, and there was animal poop on the balcony/chair. Hot tub was always too full to use. In general, it felt more in line with a 3-star hotel. We asked if we could pay to upgrade to the next tier of room, but unfortunately they were fully booked — and while did give us a room on a higher floor which helped marginally, I honestly felt bamboozled for the price I paid. The lobby and restaurant also smelled awful. They must have a really strong scent they blast through, but I couldn’t spend more than 5 mins in there. If you have allergies, it is not the place for you. Pros were the view, and the bed was comfortable. I hate leaving bad reviews, but I would think twice before booking this hotel or at least research the specific room type you are getting beforehand (especially for nice occasions or holidays).

The hotel is very beautiful, with lovely surroundings and a great landscape. The service and staff attention were excellent, always friendly and helpful.

The breakfast was very good, very complete and varied, with plenty of options to choose from.

As a point for improvement, the room cleaning could be better, especially regarding dust.

Overall, it was a very nice stay and we really enjoyed the experience
