Everything was EXCELLENT, especially Hector's service at the front desk. He allowed us do an early check in and helped us get a taxi when we left in the middle of the rain. We would definitely come back.

The room was great. It is 100% worth staying here, the view from the room was amazing. Our 1 bedroom apt was located on the 20th floor. The bed was actually pretty small. They said it was a queen but it looks more like a full. It was a shame that we went during the coldest days of the year. We were not able to enjoy our balcony. The view from there was almost panoramic. We had views of the river and midtown. We also enjoyed the rooftop restaurant that is located on the 26th floor.

I've stayed here twice ready and I really enjoy being at this hotel. The kitchen is a major plus for me. The bar upstairs is nice. Their staff is friendly. The drinks are very nice! My only complaint is the parking situation, but it's New York, so there's nothing new there. All in all this hotel is a great place to stay in the city.

It was great until there was a gas leak and it smelled like someone gasoline soaked the room. I asked. I was dismissed. Then they were all sitting in full winter gear with the doors open in the lobby. They said they were taking care of it. I complained multiple times after. Nope. I was sick to my stomach and light headed. The front desk told me to open a window , they also had to deal with it. I left. I called 311, I sent a compliant to Expedia, my credit card and their corporate management. When I got home some of my clothes still stunk of gas. I’m still waiting to see if they’ll refund me the days I didn’t stay. I would’ve rated this better if they would’ve transferred/ refunded me.

Overall, we were extremely satisfied w the 2bedroom suite at the Beekman tower. It was spacious - with two big bedrooms, each w their own baths, plus a 3rd half bath, large living room and dining area. The views are AMAZING. Truly perfect EXCEPT it was one floor below the bar which was very loud up until closing @ 2am. We would request a lower floor next time. Check in was easy, the various extras: gym and laundry a bonus. One other recommendation would be to add a couple rugs in the living area to warm it up. We overlooked the faux wood stick on covering was peeling off in the kitchen because everything else offered: plates, glasses, bowls etc were so nice!

We were in town for Thanksgiving and the Beckman towers had everything we needed. The space was plenty for a party of 4. We felt like we were right at home. The staff was always pleasant. I would definitely recommend the Beekman towers!

I had a wonderful stay at Beekman Tower. Our apartment was clean, tidy and had all the essentials we needed. The receptionists were all chatty and friendly and they really made me feel welcomed each time I came back from a day out. The Ophelia Bar on the 26th Floor is a must go to if you are staying here. Again, wonderful and helpful staff.
Location is great if you don't want to be in the hustle and bustle of central New York, but isnt too far from everything either.
Id encourage anyone to book this historic hotel over any of the bigger chain hotels anyday.

I had a great experience at the hotel in 1993.Does it have new owners? The night we checked in the desk clerk was rude.We’re our 80s and no one helped us drag our luggage up steps.Maid service non existent.TV in the bedrooms hard to work.Oven didn’t work.Brown water from showers.Other Wyndham hotels are excellent not this one.

We chose this property to stay at with friends for my husbands’ surgery at HSS. While it wasn’t super close to the hospital it was a reasonable cost for two couples to stay in a 2 Bdr 2 Bath apartment. The staff was kind and accommodating. I would recommend this property for a two couples or a small group of friends going to NYC. We walked to dinner in Times Square and well as various trips to HSS to check on/visit my husband.

Overall a great stay. I arrived late, so there weren't many staff members to help. I had lots of bags and no one was there to meet me at the door. Most hotels that ive stayed at in NY have a doorman for that price.

You cant drive up to the hotel because they have the front blocked off for taxis. Unloading bags ia very difficult. Especially with no help. Space is so limited that if you're not able to get that one spot near the hotel, you're stuck looping around the block until someone moves.

I'm sad that I didnt get to visit the roof top bar. Really wanted to try that. Front desk staff were friendly. The room was nice & clean.

The TV was annoying to figure out. I just wanted basic cable channels. All I had was Netflix and whatever Chromecast or random service they offered.

The staff at the front desk was ALWAYS so kind and helpful. The room itself needs some up keep. The beds were not very comfortable, the pull out couch was very uncomfortable. The bathroom ceiling paint was pealing off, a lot of rust in the shower and on the mirrors. The rooms were either very hot or very cold. The elevators were always broken typically only one was working.

Lovely, renovated old tower. Our 1BR was clean and very spacious, with a small kitchen - perfect for our small family's one week stay. Free use of laundry facility in basement was useful. Quiet location near UN. Friendly, helpful people at front desk. Maybe not as close to attractions as other ares, but we had no trouble walking a bit to get to Times Square, Grand Central Terminal, or subway stations. It's quite a bit of walking over the course of a week. Eventually we learned to just catch one of bus routes that run by the hotel if we wanted to save time getting to particular subway routes etc. We had the 7-day MVA transit pass so getting around NYC was easy. Would defintitely stay there again.

My son and I stayed here for 3 weeks during our stay in NYC and it was wonderful. The receptionist and staff were very friendly and offered to help when we had any questions. The room had a kitchen and it felt like we were staying at a home rather than a hotel which was so nice. Location too, it’s located at a very safe and convenient location where you can use the train or bus! Thank you for a great stay and we hope to stay again when we come to NY!

The 2 bedroom \"apartment\" was spacious enough for a family of 5. With everything you would need it a kitchen. We stayed for 6 days and being able to have breakfast and lunch in the room is a real money saver. The front desk staff were all super helpful. The location was great close to a grocery store, restaurants, bus lines, and subway. The windows are a bit thin so the rooms are a little noisy; we stayed when there was a heat wave so the AC was running the whole time and covered up the noise. Laundry was also free to use and in the basement which was a plus as well. My son was able to use the work out room and my husband got some work done in the conference room so there are a lot of benefits there. The unit we had was a little beat up- the floor in the hallway must have gotten wet and the boards were warped, and the door in the bathroom was MDF and since there is no fan it was in bad shape. All in all I would definitely stay here again because of the location, room size and price but would try to ask for a room in better condition. There is also a ton of parking nearby just use Spot Hero. This is a great hotel for families.

Pros: comfortable bed, sheets, great shower, VERY spacious - unmatched for NYC especially in this price range.
Cons:
Staff: was largely unhelpful and unfriendly. Often eating at the desk and ignoring guests. They answered the phone about half the time when I called from my room. The texting app only worked once. When I asked about something, was dismissed. At checkin, was not given wifi password or any info about breakfast or the hotel.
Coffee etc.: In room there is a coffee maker and one coffee package...you have to get your own creamer! No tea or any other items. When I asked at front desk, was told to get from the lobby - the coffee maker there was out of order and no creamer...ended up getting some at the grocery store. Also get your own toilet paper! Less than 1 roll in the room for 5 day stay - you have to ask at the front desk.
A/C: I think it was motion sensor activated - would go off if not moving around, and got hot overnight. Not too bad - generally it was comfortable, but it struggled if over 80 degrees. Also the 'wellness' room was very minimal. Thankfully at least it was a constant fan sound otherwise the A/C going on/off all night I would not have slept well.
The Ophelia bar...overrated! Yes the view are fantastic - but the drinks were just okay and the service was terrible - I waited over 30mins seated and no one waited on me. I had to go to the bar for drinks and it wasn't super busy. Also so expensive! Over $50 for two cocktails...not worth it.

The Beekman Tower more than fulfilled expectations. Our suite was spacious, the kitchen appliances more than adequate, the 1 1/2 bathrooms a luxury. For a building nearly 100 years old, it is in very good shape. Particularly useful was the laundry room and the coffee machine. The neighborhood, in the vicinity of the UN, is particularly safe. Best of all was the desk staff which was among the friendliest that we have ever experienced in our many years of travel.

Great place! Loved it!

We did a two night stay in a queen bed apartment and both loved it!! We had a living room, kitchen with toaster, microwave, coffee maker, and fridge!! Everything was really great!! The check in process was quick and simple! The hotel also had an area for you to make your own complimentary tea, coffee, or hot chocolate and their gym was nice too. I’ll definitely stay here again!!

Fantastic well appointed apartments and updated amenities with full kitchen, good quality beds, nice gym, small but convenient business center and super friendly staff (every single front desk employee both daytime and evening are welcoming and helpful). Only one negative is laundry room, although very convenient, machines and overall laundry could use an upgrade. In general the hotel is quiet despite the busy rooftop restaurant.

Came with my sister and daughter. Chose this location cause near nephew’s apartment. He had just relocated cross country. Have everything we needed to stay comfortable for a long weekend. More convenient than we expected and pretty quiet neighborhood with many good places to eat and all the retailers needed for “moving in” especially convenient.

I stayed at this hotel in New York to celebrate New Year’s Eve, but unfortunately, our experience was disappointing. The mattresses on the beds were terrible—extremely uncomfortable and worn out. We were unable to get any proper rest during our stay, which affected our entire trip. For the price we paid, we expected much better quality. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel unless they improve the condition of their beds.

The heater in the master bedroom made loud noises every two hours (day and night). The heater is located next to the bed so we didn’t sleep good any of the four nights. We reported the issue to the front desk, but no help received. There were no other rooms available according to the front desk. We couldn’t book a anywhere else because it was sold out or unaffordable because of Christmas.

This is a really lovely place to stay, it’s just slightly away from all the hustle and bustle of the centre yet close enough to easily walk to the centre and the park. The staff were lovely, they had a very laid back attitude to the residents which was nice as it made you feel relaxed and at home. They would go out of their way to help you in any way. I cannot fault the place, the apartment was fully equipped making it so easy to cook ‘at home’.
I would definitely stay there again!

This was a good option for 5 adults as we rented the 1 bedroom type rooms. We requested foldout couches in our rooms and only received 1 not 2 as requested. This is a no frills place but it was comfortable for our needs. The Ophelia was a young people date place but we went up one night and really enjoyed the amazing views. The food was really good at Ophelia! Make sure that you have a reservation.

Great studio apartment with plenty of space to unpack and a cupboard to store our luggage. The studio was clean, spacious and well equipped with everything we needed for a weeks stay. Location was good with plenty of eating places nearby and were able to walk to 5th Avenue in approximately 25 minutes. There was also a subway 10 minutes walk away. Only negative was that the room was only cleaned once a week and the towels were too small.

Hotel was nice and our the way of all the hustle of the city and great size for NYC and pretty comfy.
We were provided total privacy and the room was quiet and not overlooked.

The room had a few small niggles but that was overridden by the fabulous view we got.

It is the staff who make this place top star, they were all so helpful for any little issue. They were friendly and chatty. An extra big shoutout to Hector, as during a holiday that experienced travel and logistic problems he had answers ready and assistance for everything. It’s so nice to have someone take your problems away during a stressy time.

OK but a bit tired and overpriced

We booked a one bedroom apartment for three people - with one of us using the foldout bed in the living room. The living space is fine, the kitchen area and bathroom were tiny though. The apartment was generally clean - a few stains on the carpet and generally the place felt a bit tired - the lifts were grubby. The AC was a real problem - it kept coming on full blast at night even when switched off. We were told the AC control has a built in humidity control which cannot be over ridden so we ended up taking the batteries out of the sensor every night - no biggie but inconvenient. Coffee machine downstairs broke down on our first day and remained out of service for the duration. Friendly front desk staff. The location worked for us - a quieter part of the city but still good access to the subway and some good places locally to eat.

Large, comfortable rooms, great location. Reasonable price. Polite, helpful staff. Loved the fancy coffee machine in the lobby!

The location is really great since there are many things that are walkable. Hotel staff was super friendly and quick to accommodate. Bed and couch were comfortable. It was clean and close to a bus stop.

We had a very good experience over all but the carpet corridors are very dirty and smelly. This should be cleaned or changed. The team that are in front desk are great persons and very nice and helpful.

This is an extension old building the entire floor creaks. The beds are so old that sleeping in them is almost unbearable. They creak constantly and are extremely hard. The pillows are terrible as well. No housekeeping until after 5 days, no room service, customer service was of 0
