The property is difficult to locate because of poor signage.Also the external part of the property is poorly maintianed. The extreanl look of the porperty is poor. The parking lot, the building, all look rough and could use some renovation.
Hopwever, the rooms were comforable, even though the wifi wasnt reliable

The young lady at the front desk was incredibly sweet and helpful. After bringing everything up to our room, (be prepared to walk up flights of stairs) we found the room quite dirty. My 11 year old was going to take the couch, my 2 older children each a bed and then a bed for my husband and I. The couch was so bad, not even layers upon layers of bedding in between him and the food and dead bugs in/under the cushions wouldn’t be doable. There was also standing water and hair in the sink. We kept a very cool head and went to ask if there was a clean room available, they didn’t have any way to accommodate us, but they said they would provide approval for a refund through the hotels app. I thanked the lady at the front desk for being understanding. We were so grateful there was an available room 6 minutes away.

When checking in I was told I had to give them a $50.00 deposit - used against damage/smoking in the room. I was not aware of this additional charge. I was told at that time that it would be returned to me when checking out. Today when checking out (the room is just the way we found it) I was told it would go back on my card 3 to 5 days. NEXT: our initial room was not ready for us (It was 10:00 at night) not cleaned, no bed linens on...NOTHING! So we were moved to another room. At 4:52 am we were woke up with people screaming, yelling and fighting right outside our room. I called the front desk - they sent security but the noise continued after they were put into a room across the hall. Would I ever stay there again...for $180 dollars plus the $50.00 deposit to insure a good nights sleep after traveling most of that day...Never got that and Never again. The only positive thing I can say is the girl at the check in dest was friendly and professional!. Hoping she did not lie about my $50.00 being returned to me.

We stayed one week and there are no microwaves in the room or in the lobby . We usually get food we can cook in microwave or reheat the food we bought. It’s not a 5 star hotel but our room was clean and smelled good in the room . Outside it smells like marijuana which I don’t mind , it’s legal in a lot of states ! Breakfast was decent just carby foods , but you have options around there walkable distance .

Small Breakfast spread, but the biggest issue is the lackluster fitness center. No dumbells or free weights and only 3 cardio machines that 2 of which are unuseable. The staf are amazing, the rooms are good for the price, but the fitness center was a huge letdown.

Stains on the toilet, lampshade, floor, chair. Chewed gum on the chair. Some time of splatter in the corner of wall/ceiling. Toothpaste on the ceiling of the shower, little hairs inside the shower. Stale items at breakfast. Smelled like weed and cigarette smoke throughout the entire facility. Worst place I’ve ever stayed at.

The hotel was filthy. It smelled very strongly of cigarettes and air freshener. My asthma started acting up as soon as I walked into our room. We asked the front desk for another room. Without hesitation we were given another room on a different floor. We had an event to go to so we changed our clothes and left. After our event we entered the hotel and heard a very loud argument. We were discouraged to find out it was coming from the run next to us. They were arguing over drugs. My husband went to the front desk to check out. He asked for a manager. There was none on duty. For 5 days we have tried to contact the manager and left messages. There's has been no resolution.

Daytime staff were unreachable, parking lot was sketchy, hallways were dirty, had trash in them, and were uneven to walk on. Rooms were tidy, but had a layer of grime. Beds were extremely hard, the sheets were not clean, and rooms smelled strongly of floral scented floor cleaner. Window in room looked into the hallway and curtains didn't block out the hallway light that was on all night. Breakfast was not fresh, and selection was awful. We checked out after 1 night because it was so gross.

Not soundproofed rooms, you can hear people talking too loud even banging doors in nearby rooms. Our first night was a mess, we couldn’t sleep until 4 a.m. due to noise.
Exhaust fan in washroom too loud.
Toilet seat moving.
Hair dryer not working.
Tv not working.
Poor wifi connection.
Phone in the room has no dial tone.
Fitness center- out of order
Free breakfast, but you have to take your food in your room, there are only 4 tables in the dining area. We’re just lucky that there’s not much people staying to dine in.
Overall, not a pleasant stay. We have to request to move to a different room the following day, which is way better; with TV, phone and hair dryer working, faster internet connection.
The staff were nice and very accommodating though. The hotel is old, but clean with a comfortable bed.
But sorry, we may not recommend this hotel; a bad experience compared to the previous hotel we had.

when we pulled up to the property we looked at each other and said no way. but,we went in. the place was not at all what the pictures depicted.but we looked at the room , the bed was not made, the room was not what we expected from the pictures ,so we did not check in. I would like a full refund.Because of the name Wyndam we expected quality. we went elsewhere.

The lady working breakfast was rude.
The one tile incline in the bathroom caused me to trip several times - dangerous! Won’t stay here again - if I had time I would have asked for a refund!

I made the reservation for this Baymont by Wyndham completely by mistake, as I thought I had made my reservation at the Madison Heights location near my clients studio. It was one of the best mistakes i have made since I married my now ex- wife! Iola, Shante, Rose and Dorothy took care of me like i was family and gave me phenomenal recommendations throughout Detroit. Do not overlook this gem of a location🙏

Staff was friendly. Bed was comfortable. Those were the only 2 positives.

The vent was filthy. A used dental pick was under the sink. There was a brown substance on the walls of the fridge. There was no view of outside. The view was of the hall so the curtains had to stay closed. The water was cold and pressure was non-existent. I could barely take a shower. I was later told the water was shut off. The towels were dingy. The soap, shampoo, conditioner dispensers were empty. The toilet was old & had a yellow stain on it.

There appeared to be some unhoused people allowed to loiter &/or eat breakfast in the lobby.

This was the worse place I’ve ever stayed at. It should not be called a hotel. It was more akin to a motel. It was more like a weekly rental place, such as the Extended Stay.

The towels and sheets were filthy. They were dirty grey. I had to go to the front desk to get a new set of washcloths which were still dingy. Tried to use the phone to call the front desk. There’s just a dial tone when you push buttons you get connected to no one so I had to use my cell phone. I went to the vending machine outside of the room to get a Sprite and a Mountain Dew came out, my husband wanted a Coke and a Mountain Dew came out. The staff are nice and pleasant but the cleanliness is horrible. Lastly, there are no elevators and we stayed on the third floor

The room had a faucet that was completely loose from the sink. It was wobbling. I have a video one of the electrical plugs was completely loose inside the wall. One of the lights was plugged into that wall. It was blinking on and off all night 2 of the ladies. The ones in the morning had nasty attitudes. The one at night had a wonderful attitude. I'm talking about she left that one2 midnight. Cause the young lady that left that one2 midnight had a wonderful attitude. All the rest of them had nasty added at magnitudes. I would NEVER recommend this hotel. My husband and I live a little ways away and decided to grab a hotel instead of driving home. However, It literally gave trap house / motel vibes everything was dirty as h*ll from the lobby to the room to the bed sheets / covers. I will say the front desk staff was helpful, that's the ONLY positive thing about that place. After we checked in and went to the room we immediately checked out in less than 5 minutes. The sheets looked like they hadn't been changed since the last stay, there were dirty towels sitting in there, stains on the bed sheets, hair on the bedsheets just absolutely DISGUSTING. I highly do NOT recommend save your money and your time.

It was very weird to see a window in the room that leads to the hall. We had to use something on the inside to make sure there wasnt any cracks for people walking by to see us inside the room. Especially as the bed is right beside the window.

Our room was not ready when we arrived to check in at 6:30PM. They had to spot clean a room that was available and had us wait another 30 minutes before we could go in. The room did not have a mirror in the bathroom, the floor was wet in the room, the remote to the TV died while using it, and ultimately it felt like a poor experience.

My experience at the hotel was quite quiet. The ice machines are generous. Never was the type to get up for breakfast, so I can't say much there. I recall having to toss an item out of the minifrige that was left over from the last occupant though, nothing to warrant concern.
