Excellent staff. Some issues with broken items in the room however everything clean and comfortable. Shampoo etc in the bathroom. Parking 16€ per night which was handy. Metro station outside too for easy access to town centre and port (3km to town)
Overall a comfortable stay. Would use again

Our stay at the hotel was simply excellent. From the moment we arrived we felt very welcome. The staff were incredibly friendly, attentive and always happy to help with a smile.
The room was comfortable and had everything we needed for a pleasant stay. The hotel facilities were also very well maintained and the atmosphere was relaxing.
Breakfast was delicious with plenty of options to choose from and definitely exceeded our expectations.
The only thing we would have appreciated in the room was a kettle with coffee and tea. Other than that, everything was perfect.
We would definitely recommend this hotel and would happily stay here again!

I had a wonderful experience staying at this hotel in Valencia. The location is perfect — close to all the main attractions, restaurants, and shops, yet quiet and relaxing at night. The rooms were clean, modern, and very comfortable, with everything you need for a pleasant stay.

The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, always smiling and ready to assist with recommendations or directions. Breakfast was delicious with a great variety of fresh options, and the coffee was excellent!

The hotel’s atmosphere felt warm and welcoming, and I especially appreciated the attention to detail in both service and cleanliness. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Valencia — it’s a perfect choice for comfort, convenience, and genuine hospitality.

When we arrived we were unable to check in at the time, even though it was after 2pm. We were told to wait but not told how long to wait for. Room was OK but bathroom was unclean, black mold around the shower and no tissues in the dispenser. We have stayed before 2 years ago and had a much better experience but it seems to be going downhill unfortunately.

We spent 3 nights at Illunion. Service was excellent and very efficient. Breakfast was very good. It’s very close to a metro station to get into the old town quickly. Our room was lovely and outside area is good. Only comment is that the pool area is on the small side but was fine for our stay. We would definitely stay here again!

Tricky review this.

For one, the staff who checked us in, Saray, was absolutely fantastic. Incredibly polite, actually spoke to us as a person rather than just a guest and gave us a few tips to enjoy the city.

The breakfast was brilliant, for €14 it was worth every cent, a great selection of savoury and sweet.

The downstairs of the hotel was immaculate, the bar really good.

But our room was horrible. I think because we checked in at 14:00 sharp our 'proper' room wasn't available, and so they gave us the first room they had available.

We purchased food to take with us the following day and stored it in the fridge, but we realised the next day the fridge wasn't working so all that food was wasted in the heat of the room. There was a piece of wood which snagged my wifes dress. The toilet seat was incredibly loose and the tap in the basin almost fell off, and the bathroom just looked as if it had never received any maintenance since it was originally built.

A real shame.

I'd certainly recommend the hotel, the location is perfect, but I do think the rooms (or at least what we had) could do with some maintenance, especially with the splinter of wood and none functioning fridge.

A mixed bag

I came to Valencia for a conference and this hotel is 15 minutes in a taxi from the airport and 5/10 minutes walk to the conference center so the location was great. Check in was good with a very friendly representative at the desk. The lobby and downstairs area was modern and tidy. The hotel food was nice and reasonably priced. Breakfast was a continental style and was ok. The room was a good size but very simple and didn’t match the modern look of the lobby. The bed was a good size but quite firm.

One thing that I found very annoying is the fact there were no ironing facilities in the hotel other than having to pay via the laundry service. So last minute ironing for going out was not at all possible.

Two minutes walk from metro station.

I arrived a little early, for my 3 night stay, due to my flight, and the room was available. The hotel is only about a two minute walk from a two line metro station and therefore is ideally placed to get everywhere in the city. The hotel is modern and well presented. The only problem I found with the room was the lack of drawers so I was not able to unpack properly. The staff are friendly, the bar well stocked and the restaurant food of good quality. I plan on staying here again.

The hotel is very outdated and certainly not 4* quality. The rooms are very basic, bed uncomfortable and feel like they need an upgrade. We asked for an iron to use in our room and had to ask the staff repeatedly to then be told there was only one for the whole hotel. We were then told if we want one quicker we should use the paid for service. Not a response I expect to recieve in a hotel. Whilst we stayed, the hot water stopped working, this of course is something that probably was out of the control of the hotel, but the staff were unapologetic.

I’m unsure how it’s a 4* hotel. Staff were mostly friendly apart from one guy that looked like a bulldog chewing a wasp. The hotel room was basic and unclean/broken - saw dust all over the floor where the were changing locks, bathroom still had hair in the shower and hairs in the bidet, toilet door handle broken, bathroom lights broken and exposed wires just under the desk (I took pictures). Like I said the room is basic I was surprised that there wasn’t a kettle with tea and coffee provided. The tv obviously had Spanish channels which is understandable, also had German and French but there was no English Channel.

Breakfast was nice in which they provided hot and cold options but the problem was that the hot options of scrambled egg, bacon, mushrooms and sausages were not hot its was mildly warm. We also had some lunch here as we were killing time before going to the airport which was very nice but we were charged €10 for something that we didn’t have which the lovely waiter sorted it out for us but I’m confused at how that mistake happened as we were the only people there.

Staff were very helpful. We were only there a couple of days to do some tourist stuff. Ideal for metro line1&2 and the green bus tour stop nearby on way to bio park/zoo. Being from Scotland the cooked part of breakfast was not for me. Mini hotdogs and streaky bacon.But the fruit and pastries made up for it. No tea &coffee making facilities in room either. So need to get to restaurant for that first cuppa in the morning. But again this seems to be a british thing.

Whilst overall we enjoyed our stay there were a few problems during our stay which meant we could not rate it higher overall. The safe needed fixing twice during our stay, the sofa bed was not made up on arrival so we had to get that done and we were nearly charged for purchases we had not made on checking out. Also - no tea/coffee facilities in the room and very little storage space for clothes meant we had to mostly live out of our suitcase as we couldn’t unpack.

Save your money, stay somewhere else!

I do not recommend.
Complete FALSE marketing on the pool! Despite what it claims on the website, this hotels pool is only open for the summer, which was a great disappointment as we visited during the hot April time.
Hotel is situated FAR from city center and the beach, we had to commute a minimum of 25 min every day to get to attractions.
Requested for 2 twin bed received 1 queen bed instead.
We were also shocked to find out that a four star hotel do not provide slippers and adaptors for guests!
Poor attitude shown by concierge staff lady when we asked her in the morning after our first night which transport to take to the beach.

Unfortunately, there is no kettle or coffee maker in the room, they also do not provide in room toiletries - ie hand lotion etc but there is a sign indicating they are available at reception. I would say it is a budget 4* hotel - you will be very comfortable but you won’t likely have a luxury hotel experience.

Great hotel, nice gym, the staff is so-so.
We were stay ther for Valencia marathon. We didnt get enough information when we check-in fe: next week the breakfast will start 1 hour later
But on the otherhand on saturday when we wanted to have breakfast a litle bit earlier, the waiter (maybe his name cesar) let us to eat something and drink a coffee. He said they haven't ready yet, -mostly with hot dishes - but there pastries and we could make sandwiches. It was perfect for us. We realy appreciate it.

Hotel was generally ok. There were no tea/coffee making facilities in the room. Maybe that's normal in Spain? Also only 1 English speaking tv channel and that was just repeated news. Again I was in Spain what did I expect? Also my bag was gone through when I was out and a small amount of cash was removed. There was a safe in the room and I should have used it but I dropped my guard. I reported it to reception but nothing happened. Transport to the city centre easy enough about 15-20 mins depending on metro.

The firat day we arrived they were fully packed. The room waa good but there was an issue with the shower curtain. The next day I complained and they promptly gave us a better room on a higher floor and we were totally happy from there on. The breakfast every morning was superb and staff great. We had three times to choose when to eat to avoid overcrowding. We thought we had booked the Ilumion Aqua 4 hotel but are glad we booked this one by accident. God knew it was in a better location for us to see and visit the sites. The Bioparc Zoo is a must see with or without children. Our kids are grown but we absolutely loved it!! The Oceanographic is one bus ride from there and well worth seeing also.

Nice place within 10mins walking distance to the Congress/Meeting Center that I was attending. All in all, a nice place... Bartender was really nice and gave us nice healthy sized drinks, the breakfast buffet was quiet nice. The only think that wasn't the best was it looks like the beds were on simple metal frames that you would find for a cot.

Very good hotel in a good location for Metro and hop on hop off bus.
If you are thinning tour bus suggest you book the red bus....busevery 20 minutes Green tour every 90 minutes.

Don't forget Valencia home of Paella. 😃
