Not suitable if you have mobility difficulties

Overall I think the website information is misleading as I didn't realise it was a hostel and not a hotel. Luckily I emailed in advance to let the hotel know I would be arriving late - it's a good job I did or I wouldn't have been prepared for the little automated check in machine outside for anyone who arrives after 20:00. The machine was very frustrating to use but eventually I got in. I was shocked that there was a huge staircase in front of me and no lift. I have a serious spinal condition and am not meant to lift anything heavy, but with a 25kg suitcase, no lift and no one to ask for help, I had no choice but to haul it up the stairs, resulting in a flare up of pain for several days after. The room itself, like the hostel overall, was quaint and beautifully decorated - I was allocated the 'China Suite' which was a red room with painted dragons etc. I was impressed by the comfort and cleanliness of the room overall. Upon check out I did mention the lack of information on the website and that it should be clear there is no lift - what if a customer was in a wheelchair?? Overall, this is a hostel rather than a hotel, so the facilities are basic but the rooms are nice and the decor is quirky and interesting. Service is good - very friendly - but be prepared to use the automated check in machine if staff are away (you will need a code in advance for this), and avoid it if you have mobility issues or other problems with using stairs or carrying your luggage.

Three things would have improved our experience here. A small fridge in n the rooms or a water cooler in the reception area. Summer is exceptionally hot in Valencia. Secondly the air conditioning was not greatly effective and requires attention or upgrading. Last point is the shower is so small it's difficult to move in.

Totally Automated and over charged me

The room is large and interesting to but old, the place is not close to tourist attraction.
The worst part of it is that it is Totally Automated and No Staff.
But even worse the machine that checks you in needs a credit card and kept giving me errors so I could not check in.
My friends card worked so he checked in for me, BUT when I got home to Japan, I was charged for the times the machine reported errors and I could not get in. So I was charged 3 times the amount of what it is supposed be.
No I have to go through loops to get my money back.

Totally automated stay

There is no one there, just a machine .
I had to call a number on the machine because it did not recognize the reservation. Plus the English was not good.
The room was nice size but quite distance from the center of city.
Although I would no recommend it due to difficulty I had checking in, it is cheap so I rate it 3. Japanese Credit card did not work.

Automated check-in did not work, and we were told by a housekeeper that we would have to return at 6pm. After a long journey to get there, and no cafes open nearby, this was not a good prospect. However the housekeeper was finally able to make a phone call & show us to our room.
For the rest of our stay, no staff were apparent, and my one enquiry regarding the tea & coffee facilities mentioned in our welcome letter elicited a shrug and a sigh. Apparently they did not exist, although our Spanish is virtually non existant.
Loud and lengthy berrating of the office woman by a male superior next morning did not make for the relaxed and comfortable establishment that we were seeking.
The note in the welcome letter that we should check for the presence of a tv and air conditioner, otherwise we would be charged for their loss, was totally ludicrous. Spanish humour, perhaps?

So near yet so far

The location is a bit further out than expected but buses and tram are near enough.......have a tourist card to make travel effortless!! There are even a few night buses nearby........

The hotel lacks catering but there are many food places and a supermarket nearby.

Rooms are spacious, artfully decorated and comfortable but the shower unit badly proportioned and a distinct lack of plug sockets.

I was very pleased with the welcome muffins left on the bedside table and an actual letter from the management explaining Wi-Fi and who to contact........the little touches count!

The hostel is very bare bones with minimal amenities and no frills. Shower was tiny but clean, room smelled of cigarettes, only one room key was dispensed by the automated check-in machine. A decent option if you get a great deal but would pay a bit more to stay closer to the old town next time.

Cheap, but.....

Cheap, but clean. Located in not the best area. Easy to get to the centre by bus.
Problems, reception not manned all day. We returned mid afternoon and room key did not work. Could not contact anyone as telephone numbers are premium rate. Left to wait until reception opened. Wondered what would have happened if this was late at night. Decided to check out early and booked in at another hotel.

Interesting hostel/hotel, rooms decked out in a different theme per room.

My room was overlooking a street. Traffic constant and could here it. Could do with upgrading to double glazing for rooms on this side to.minimise noise. But friendly staff and room comfortable, could be i noticed more as a light sleeper

Comfortable hotel for a budget traveller. Beds were grea, wifi was excellent, and the rooms were a good size and well cleaned. My friend and I travelled around Spain prior to stopping in Valencia, and it was the best place we stayed. It wasn't too close to center and I would recommend women walking alone at night in the area, but otherwise, it was top notch.

Cheap option for Valencia

Me and my girlfriend stayed here for 5 night at the peak of the heat wave. Our room had aircon, so there was no problem sleeping. Bed and towels were changed regularly. On the bad side, it is slightly out of the city centre with no close by metro stations. However, there is a tram line not too far away. We did not have a bathroom in our room, which was a pity, but I know what some other rooms had it. There is no option for breakfast, but there are a few nice coffee places around where you can get your zumo natural and tostada.

Excellent service from the staff. The receptionist even booked a coach transfer for me. Only issue I have is upstairs, there was some kind of building work going on that started at 8am and woke me up. But It wasn't part of the hostal so I can't blame them for that. Overall very quiet and peaceful.

I got the 'Egyptian' room. Very clean, very large, comfy bed. You enter and get your key automatically using a digital display which scans your details. There was a staff member around during normal office hours and he was very friendly. A good stay. Only negatives are that it is not close to any metro station (although bus stop is just around the corner) and the walls & ceiling are a bit thin so you can hear your neighbours if they're banging around.

This was a good value and decent location although the automated doorway check in process was very challenging. Don't plan to arrive between 2 and 5 if you want to be greeted by a person. The room was comfortable but lacked a chair. There was plenty of room for our family of 4 adults. The bathroom was HUGE but the shower was so tiny that we couldn't bend over to get soap without opening the door. The composting toilet made very odd processing noises and emitted bad smells. The decorating is somewhat dated and the place is hard to find by car - sign is small.

Fantastic hostel, sketchy location

I loved this hostel. Each room has a theme, which are super fun. The bed was a nice size (king), and our room had its own bathroom, though the shower was a little small for a tall guy like me. Overall, a great place to stay. The only problem with this hostel is the location. It is very much within walking distance of the old city (maybe 20-25 minutes), but the neighborhood around it is not that great. Nothing fun to see, and my girlfriend told me that if I hadn't been with her she wouldn't have felt comfortable walking around at night.

very friendly reception in Valencia. We have been there for the half marathon. The receptionist gave us already the print outs how to travel best to the fair and the start. Extra plus.
They gave us a bed for our dog..

Camera grande,anche se non riscontrava a pieno il mio gusto,ma la pulizia meritava davvero un plauso ,inaspettata per la tipologia di struttura,con ,cambio asciugamani tutti i gg .Zona ben servita, da bus e tramvia ,anche se di sera utilizzavamo spesso uber. The reception is not open 24/7, but the property provides a WhatsApp number and they respond quickly and kindly, even to requests made in the days leading up to your arrival.

What I missed in the room—something I usually expect—was a minibar to keep drinks cool at night. Also, there was no wardrobe, only a clothes rack, and the closets didn’t close completely; they seemed more decorative than functional.

The location is excellent, with several bus stops nearby, and there are some nice cafés close to the apartments for breakfast.

Rooms are cleaned every morning. There is air conditioning.

Una estancia diferente

La principal diferencia de este hotel respecto a otros es su decoración, única y diferente para cada habitación. Íbamos con la intriga de que civilización nos iba a tocar. Limpieza muy bien; ubicación bien, en un barrio normal al norte del centro con todo tipo de comercios y restauracion, con bus y metro cerca. La única pega es no disponer de servicio de consiga, debido a que no hay recepción 24 horas.

Très déçu par l'isolation des chambres. On entend tout dans les couloirs et malheureusement les gens n'ont pas de savoir vivre donc on entend toute la nuit les portes qui claquent. Les femmes de ménage non plus ne sont pas très discrètes car dès 7h45 on entend les chariots et aucune discrétion sans parler du groupe de climatisation installé sur le balcon de la chambre qui n'a pas de double vitrage. L'emplacement de l'hôtel est cependant pas mal (quelques bars/restaurants aux alentours et ligne de bus pour aller dans la vieille ville). Le personnel (vu qu'une fois à l'arrivée) est gentil mais absent tout le long du week-end (il ne faut pas avoir un soucis...). Je ne recommande pas cet hôtel qui à mon sens est très cher pour le peu de confort.

Después de la primera semana, que asignaron una habitación sin baño y con malfuncionamiento del aire acondicionado.
¿Malentendido?
El alojamiento fué bueno tras el cambio de habitación con baño con ducha e incluso secador de pelo.
Al final no ha estado mal.

No se si será culpa de la web o del hostal, pero al coger la habitación no ponía que había que compartir baño y cuando hemos llegado al hostal nos hemos encontrado con que teníamos que compartirlo con medio hostal. Cuando llegas te dicen que solo lo utilizas tú, pero es mentira.
Te dicen que son camas americanas pero son dos camas de 90 unidas por un colchón de espuma, es mejor que te lo digan, así quedan mal.

Vreselijk verblijf, zal ik zeker niet aanraden. Je gaat op vakantie om te ontstressen maar dit hotel levert teveel stress op. Begon met het inchecken dit moest buiten bij de automaat die niet werkte waardoor we anderhalf uur moesten wachten op de receptie. Later op de dag in de avond kwamen we terug bij het hotel werkt de pas niet, geen receptie aanwezig en hebben gebeld meer dat anderhalf uur gewacht en konden toen weer naar binnen. Volgende dag uitgechecked en ander hotel genomen

Deja bastante que desear, aun asi esta bien calidad-precio,la bañlera era demasiado pequeña y no habia armarios,el personal era muy agradable, aun que también se escuchaba todo de las habitaciones porque tenian las paredes muy finas.Otro problema era la falta de persianas,la luz de las farolas por la noche traspasaba y por la mañana te despertaba la luz de el día.Para llegar al centro había que callejear y tardabas 30 min.

Premetto che eravamo a conoscenza che fosse un ostello, e gli abbiamo dato fiducia. Purtroppo le aspettative non sono state soddisfatte. Sì, è vero che la camera era spaziosa e la vasca idromassaggio un lusso che pochi ostelli danno, ma il resto ha lasciato un po' a desiderare. Un caldo allucinante all'interno, per fortuna contrastato dall'aria condizionata, assenza di schermature idonee alla luce esterna (solo tende misere), zero insonorizzazione e rumorosità di ventole e quadro elettrico. Peccato, perché le potenzialità della struttura sono elevate. È comunque adatto a chi ha poche esigenze e vuole spendere poco. Ottima la reception automatica 24/7 e la vicinanza di servizi e fermate autobus, tuttavia, per noi che eravamo con auto noleggiata, è stato problematico trovare parcheggio vicino, che è solo a pagamento. Al centro ci si arriva in circa 20 minuti.

Camera a tema molto carina, aria condizionata che si spegne all'uscita dalla camera quindi troverete sempre molto caldo. Essendo anche un ostello la notte è drammatica...persone che tornano alle ore più assurde urlando e sbattendo le porte. Dovrebbero esserci più controlli su quest'ultimo aspetto.

Indtjeknings processen var lidt svær at forstå. Deres maskine virker med er andet reservationsnummer end der man selv kan se. Vi brugte 35 min på ar checke ind. Det er egentlig fint nok. Aircon virkede ikke så godt og nettet hoppede af hele tiden. Man kan godt gå til ting, men det ligger en del ude for byen.

Nos alojamos en la suite romana y creo que tiene una fantastica calidad-precio. La habitacion era enorme, el jacuzzi espectacular y la habitacion en general una pasada, esa habitacion en un hotel convencional te sale por un ojo de la cara. El personal muy simpatico y te ayudan en lo que sea.
Cosas “malas”, que las paredes son muy finas. La puerta esta al lado de la cama y cada vez que pasaba alguien o se sacaba algo de la maquina se escuchaba mucho, tambien a los de la habitacion de al lado que les escuchabamos hasta hablar. Quiza algo mas de insonorizacion no estaria mal. Por otro lado no estaria mal un parking aunque fuera de pago, ya que a ciertas horas cuesta bastante encontrar sitio.
Pero en general hemos estado muy a gusto y es posible que si otro año volvamos a lo mismo que hemos ido este año, repitamos!!

Posizione non centrale ma vicinissima a due fermate di bus che in 10 minuti ti portano in centro. Camera graziosa, con aria condizionata e pulita ogni giorno dal personale senza però il ricambio asciugamani. Personale cordiale che parla molte lingue. De kamer die we kregen was iets minder ik had een andere kamer van binnen gezien die meer voldeed en het was een probleem om te wisselen .

Geen hotel maar hostel en doelgroep jongeren

Wij hadden dit hotel/hostel geboekt omdat de beoordelingen goed waren. Bij aankomst bleek het een hostel te zijn en voornamelijk bezet door jongeren. Maar ook door stelletjes voor sex. Onze indruk was ook door prostituees. De kamers waren erg gehorig en je hoorde letterlijk de gesprekken en dus ook de sexgeluiden van je buren. In de nacht hoorde je deuren dicht slaan. Mensen liepen door de gang. Slapen was hierdoor moeilijk. Kamers waren wel echt heel schoon en Roberto erg aardig en behulpzaam.

Habitación cómoda pero sin accesorios, muy lejos

La habitación está bien pero no hay armario es una simple barra, no hay nevera en las habitaciones tampoco y el baño no tiene nada que ver con el estilo de la habitación.
Se aparca fatal por la zona, ya que lo tuvimos que dejar en un descampado y está muy lejos de todo..
Además no hay recepción 24 horas, si tienes problemas tienes que llamar por teléfono

origineel landenthema in een kale sfeerloze kamer

Een heel origineel ingericht ho(s)tel. We hadden de ruime kamer Indonesia met een grote overkapping boven het bed en allerlei beelden(grappig). Douchestraal was goed en warm, handdoeken genoeg, maar uitzicht op een gore binnenplaats met weinig daglicht, een douchecabine die zo klein is dat we ons er amper in konden wringen. Alle kamers hadden maar 1 nachtkastje en geen stoelen.De wanden zijn er van papier zodat je de buren bijna letterlijk kunt verstaan. Kingsizebed is heerlijk qua afmeting, maar waarom zo'n hard matras? service was ok, mar zeker niet hartelijk. Bovendien kon je het zelf uitzoeken en had je niemand nodig.Geen meubels. Slapen en wegwezen dus. Ontbijt is er niet. De prijs van 40 euro is redelijk voor 2 personen, maar zeker niet top gezien de locatie.De hoge waardering op de site is onterecht. Houd het maar op een 6,5

Eravamo in 4 2 camere, 1 camera Egitto e 1 Babilonia. Camere con affreschi , puliti tutti i giorni, avevamo preso le camere con bagno in camera. Noi ci siamo trovati bene, andavamo solo la sera per dormire. Ritornarci si ci ritornerei di nuovo anche se la distanza per arrivare in centro da Valencia e' un po' distante. Quindi debi prendete un pulman o il taxi. Noi possiamo dire solamente ........ e' stato un bel soggiorno. Valenciani persone cordiali. A presto Marina

NO NO NO!!!!!!

All'arrivo non abbiamo trovato nessuno (check in tramite macchinetta elettronica), posto assolutamente fatiscente...entrati in camera abbiamo fatto un veloce giro di perlustrazione e abbiamo trovato tazzine di caffè sporche nascoste dietro la finestra, dietro le tende e dietro il letto. Nonostante fosse stato specificato che fossimo in due ad arrivare ed essendoci assicurati di presenza di articoli da bagno quali asciugamani e quant altro, non è stata una gran sorpresa scoprire che non c'era manco una saponetta! Il tempo di prenotare in un nuovo hotel, di chiamare un taxi e siamo scappati.

Aardig voor kort verblijf

Aardig hotel met alle faciliteiten. Het ontbreekt alleen aan kasten en tafels om iets op / in te leggen. Kamers zijn schoon en netjes. Douche is wel wat aan de kleine kant. Gebouw heeft dunne muren waardoor het wat rumoerig is. Geen last van verkeer buiten.
Fietsen kan je in het hotel huren.
Personeel is vriendelijk en behulpzaam en spreken engels.
Voor een kort verblijf is het een aardig onderkomen.
