All in all this is a nice hotel and in a great location! They are still renovating the property and the parts that are done are fantastic! We didn’t have a renovated room but it was still comfortable and clean. The electrical outlets were hit and miss and miss if they worked and honestly could use more if you have more than one person staying in a room. The pool was out of order but the sauna and hot tub were great and the gym is huge! Parking is a little confusing at first and could be clearer that it’s a one way .. it is Alberta and a lot of us like to back into our spots… you can’t do this here on the sides of the hotel. I would still give this property another chance when back in the city!

The rooms were adequately cleaned, quiet room. Staff were friendly and helpful. The property is starting to show its age, rooms would benefit from an update. Mattress was comfortable, T.V. Updated, but one needs more. Ceiling, bathroom tiles, molding, paint could all use a makeover.

We got a nice room. BUT the sink in the bathroom was broken, I am not sure why they put us in that room. I didn't realize until late in the evening. When I did bring it to thier attention, they put us in another room. It worked out.

Here’s a polished version that still gets your frustration across clearly:

We stayed at the Wyndham from Friday night until Monday and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience. Upon arrival, our bathroom counter was visibly dirty and clearly had not been wiped down. The bed comforter also had threads pulled all over it, making the room feel worn and not presentable at all.

The balcony and balcony doors were filthy, and the outside area facing the balcony was disgusting as well. Cleanliness overall was far below what we expected for the price we paid.

The biggest issue, however, was the constant noise. Every night there were teenagers running through the halls screaming, stomping, and banging on doors well into the night. I understand people are there to have fun, but when you’re paying around $180 a night, you expect to be able to relax and get some sleep. One night it continued until midnight, and after they began banging on doors, I called the front desk. I was told security would be sent up, but nothing seemed to change because the noise continued and carried into the following night as well.

Overall, this was not an enjoyable stay, and unfortunately we would never choose to stay at this hotel again.

Absolutely terrifying experience - I would not recommend and will never stay here again. I stayed here for one night with my child. The room was not clean and when I asked to move rooms the security guard came to my room demanding the key from me before I was ready. I wasn’t given any notice, he just showed up aggressively and in his broken English said “THIS IS MY ROOM NOW, KEY, KEY KEY.” I told him I wasn’t ready to move yet (baby in hand) and needed a few extra minutes to grab my bag, he stood at the door and waited. As I grabbed my things I wondered if I should even be staying at this hotel if this is how I am being treated but we had checked in at 11pm (coming from the airport) and it was already midnight so I stayed the night. When I notified the general manager the next day, he had nothing to say. No accountability, no follow ups, no apologies for the behavior of his staff. It was quite disheartening. I will not be staying with Wyndham ever again. I will be contacting HR.

Not much to look at from the outside but lobby/atrium is very nice. Bathrooms are a bit dated but very clean. Only issue is the small shampoo and soap bottles. Not enough for a shower - they need to upgrade that. Free parking was great. Would stay again.

Our stay at this hotel was extremely disappointing due to the lack of cleanliness and basic amenities. The hallways were very dusty, the doors had visible layers of dirt and dust, and the balconies were filthy. It was obvious that proper cleaning is not being done. We even found someone else’s hairbrush under the table in our room, which clearly shows that furniture is not being moved or cleaned underneath.

On top of that, the hotel charges extra for water, which is unreasonable considering the price per night. There was also no continental breakfast included, which was surprising and disappointing for what they charge. Overall, the hotel did not meet expectations at all, and I would not stay here again.

We really loved the atrium, it has such a nice vibe. We had a great time at the lounge, even did some karaoke which made the night extra fun! I also appreciated that they stay open late (until 11 PM), including the sushi spot. It was so convenient not having to leave the hotel for food or entertainment. Would definitely stay here again!

I stayed at this hotel for a medical convention. Room was large and clean with a good work desk and chair. Lots of power outlets by desk and beside bed. Room was quiet but workers outside the hotel started what sounded like Leaf blowers at 6 am.

Every aspect of the hotel from the moment you pull up in front SCREAMS for an update! The age makes it feel dirty and uncomfortable. Water to the building was shut off from 11:30 PM-5 AM. One of the two elevators was out of order the entire time. The dinner restaurant closed before 10 PM (even though the sign clearly stated that they were open), and breakfast was out of just over half the menu so we were forced to find food off premises for both meals (one of the factors in choosing this hotel was the availability of meals at the hotel). Staff was not rude, but definitely not happy to help either. Overall a truly negative experience!

The rooms are always very clean. Underground parking is a huge plus on cold days. Staff is always friendly and efficient. Breakfast buffet option added on the weekends and the sushi restaurant attached is great. The downside is I choose this location specifically for the amenities and they have had issues with the pool/sauna/hot tub and gym for the last couple visits which can be disappointing.

I have stayed at several hotels in Edmonton and all the beds are either hard as the floor or lumpy. The beds at this hotel are awesome and so comfortable. I think, besides cleanliness, a comfortable bed is VERY important when staying at a hotel.

Booked a king jacuzzi suite. Showed up at the hotel and was told they had a plumbing issue and had to downgrade me. How about some notification? Room is outdated and probably not renovated in 20 years .

Parkade has max height of 5’6” and limited exterior parking. There was no hot water in our room but the staff was very helpful and we were able to move into a different room for the 2nd night. However in-room coffee maker didn’t work and fridge froze all our fresh items. Breakfast was not included and restaurant and coffee counter didn’t start service until 730am which was too late for early risers in town for a swim competition.

Everything in the room was very old, and the dark-colored carpet made it feel dirty.
The front desk staff were not very friendly. We paid over $100 and were assigned a room on the first floor. When we asked if we could change rooms because we didn’t like staying on the first floor, she said the hotel was fully booked. She did not smile at all throughout the entire interaction.

The room itself was clean. And the king bed was amazing to sleep on. There was three different types of pillows to choose from. All the amenities were there in our room. We did rent the Jacuzzi king suite. But we had several issues one was that the mini fridge froze all our food and pop during our two night stay so we had to throw that out. Two the Jacuzzi had to be fixed because the air intake was closed off completely and no bubbles came out. Which was very disappointing because it was our anniversary plus Valentine’s stay weekend. As soon as I mentioned it to the front desk, they had maintenance come up and fix it. three the hot water for the Jacuzzi, shower and sink took forever would warm up. The sink was barely lukewarm the shower you had to turn on all the way to hot and the Jacuzzi took about half an hour to fill with warmer to Luke warm water. For paying $411.00 for this room. I would say it was still worth it because my hubby made it work for us. The Stuff were amazing. the hotel lobby and courtyard were beautiful.

The size of the room was great. It was nice that we had a view of the courtyard. However, the room needed updating. There was a rip in the carpet. We did not find the pillows on the bed very comfortable. Also, the couch was a bit stiff. The location was not the best either. It was nice that it had a separate dining area.
