Everything was great for our Valentine’s weekend. The location was perfect for walking to our show at Gainbridge Fieldhouse as well as all of the restaurants and bars downtown. Loved the view from our 14th floor room and the bed was comfortable. Would stay here again.

This room was not worth $824.00/night. They say it was the view? Basic room, no extras, pay parking (so expensive) and of course the pool was under renovations in the area, so they closed the pool with no notice. The only nice thing was it was attached to the WWETT show, however we walked outside anyways.

They gave the room that we reserved away. We requested a king with sofa bed & they didn't have any available at check in. I was told that they were sold out even though our reservation stated that we had one. We had to take a room with two double beds which was not ideal.

The sounds from the bar (music, people laughing, yelling) on the first floor travel up the central atrium to all floors.

It was difficult to get to sleep each night, the loud noise continued until WELL after midnight. The hotel specifies the quiet hours are from 10PM to 8AM, but that is not the case.

Old, uncomfortable beds, tiny rooms. Had to use one of the beds for our suitcases. Won’t be back. Dining options were horrible. The restaurant at the property reminded me of a free continental breakfast but cost $75. Didn’t eat it….

The Eagles Nest was nice. Service was decent, food was good, the Make host wasn’t friendly. He seemed irritated we were there.

The door of the standing shower would not seal properly - or did not have a rubber stopper, which inadvertently caused a lot of water to spill out of the shower onto the floor;

The check in process went good. Upon entering the room it was very cold. Only 61 degrees though the thermostat was set at 80. Immediately went back to front desk and was told engineering could come look at it. After going to lunch and returning to the room, it was 64 degrees. There was no control of the thermostat and was told engineering would have to be contacted to change the thermostat Everytime. I don't believe customer service was handled properly in this case.

Convenient location

Very clean and well kept. I liked that it was in walking distance from our event and from everything else going on downtown. The parking is a bit much and a bit inconvenient since it's not come and go but that's to be expected downtown. The only issue I had was the towels could've been cleaned and inspected better but other than that the hotel was nice, we would stay again

Downtown Convenience-Dated Rooms


The Hyatt is conveniently located right in downtown Indianapolis, which makes it easy to get around and enjoy the city. The staff was friendly and welcoming, which I appreciated.

That said, the property itself feels dated. The bed wasn’t very comfortable, and the headboard (photo included) really shows its age—definitely something that should be replaced. For a brand like Hyatt, I expected more modern touches and a better night’s sleep.

I also mentioned that we were celebrating our anniversary, but nothing extra was offered, which was a bit disappointing. Small gestures go a long way in making stays memorable, and this felt like a missed opportunity.

Overall, great location and nice staff, but the hotel could benefit from some updates and more attention to guest details.

I’d normally give this an easy 5-star rating. Everything about this hotel was excellent except for one very important thing…the mattress. I was in Room 1519. In 50+ years of traveling, I don’t think I’ve had one worse. I’m not even that sensitive to mattresses but this was horrible. It didn’t even feel like a real mattress. My wife is taking aspirin for the hip/back pains she got after two nights here. This is way beneath Hyatt. It’s hard for me to believe all their rooms have this mattress.

Expected luxury, got basic

Due to construction, getting to the hotel took a very long time. Took 20 minutes to drive 2 blocks. Self-park is an underground labyrinthine nightmare with thr worst system for entrance and exit. When I went to my car late that night, there were sketchy people walking around looking into cars. It felt very unsafe. Because i didn't pay valet rates, there was no one to help me with my luggage. The bathroom didnt have a ventilator fan, and the refrigerator was tiny and didn't have a freezer, so there was nowhere to keep my ice packs frozen. The ice machine on my floor was broken. The bed was uncomfortably firm. There was loud street traffic noise until midnight. All in all, I was hoping for a night away where it felt like I was being looked after at a nice hotel. Instead, I was left irritated and feeling like I overpaid for a very basic experience. The very next night, I stayed at a Hyatt Regency in Indianapolis and had a much better experience. This one just doesn't deliver better-than-average and is not worth the price. The only benefit was that it was an easy walk to Lucas Oil Field.

It’s kind of a weird hotel in that phone of the rooms have a view to outside. You literally have no idea what’s happening outside into the world. Rooms are clean, nothing special. We came in for the WNBA all star game and it was totally convenient to Gainsborough. If we went to Indy again, we’d try somewhere else.

Our room smelt like literal cat piss so assuming the carpet was not clean or sofa bed. The bed sheets had no fitted sheet so the mattress top was exposed. The overall cleanliness was suspect, and we checked in and out as quick as possible. Would not recommend.

Good hotel but need to improve and update

It took a long time to check in . We had to wait to checke in for good 15=20 minutes despite there were three people at the counter. In room no TV service when it rained hard.. so we just had to sit around… room service order was not easy using QR code and it was not easy
