Pretty disappointed with this stay. The room was grubby in the kitchen area, the bed was not very comfy, and the towels were rough. The hallway was clean but the elevator was pretty dirty, though to be fair, it had snowed a fair amount. All in all, it wasn't bad, but it wasn't good, so have to give it an average rating. Front desk staff were nice.

Staff was friendly when I'd come and go. The room was nice. They had a little pantry area you could buy food from, which was nice when I arrived. They also had a section where you could borrow entertainment (DVDs, games, etc.), which I thought was awesome. I had some slight trouble figuring out the thermostat and TV, and maybe I'm just a boomer. I also wasn't sure about where to put dishes or expectations for washing dishes. I think a little guide with info about the room and technology might be helpful, but overall, I was pleased with my stay. It was a quick ride to and from nearby stadiums.

They moved me from a room to what was supposed to be a newly renovated one but there was no hot water. I moved a second time with no hot water and freezer not working. All my frozen meat thawed and has to be cooked immediately or will go to waste.

Unfamiliar with this area..I choose to stay in this hotel.. it was the worst decision ever!!! They accused me of putting a hairline crack in the grouting between the towels in the shower and kept my deposit, I checked out a day earlier and they didn’t credit my card the day I didn’t stay! The first room was dirty and the Tv was busted, the second room was a newly renovated room but the it had 2 TVs and neither one of them worked well, 1 didn’t get channel at all!
The hallways and elevator where dirty and stains and spills everywhere thru out the hotel!
I’ve was hung up on by the hotel manager when I ask why my money wasn’t refunded and have been getting the run around about the situation from IHG CORPORATION about it as well.. this company has gone down hill.. I worked for them for 4/12 years and they stood on customer service and high quality service standards.. no it must just be about the money.

The staff was unbelievably rude as can be and outright beyond disrespectful and failed to show any customer service while also, incorrectly and wrongfully forced into paying extra fees and fines to we hadd alreadÿ paid or chargers that werent real hotel charges.and then ended up charginy an extra night's stay on my booking saying i no showed ust i was there and checked in. Once forced to pay these fees to not get kicked out like they threatened they kicked us out anyways the next day making up some noise complaining and forced me to leave calling the cops and all

Patience had to be exercised since it is undergoing a renovation. And it was priced accordingly, so no real complaints. That being said, one elevator did not work at all and the other would not move down if called to the 5th floor. At least it went up, going down 5 flights was much easier. The room was recently updated so it was very nice. Bed was comfortable and the room was very clean and fresh. The TV had not been set up and since we were there for the Big 10 championship, sports TV was VERY important. The staff was super accomodating and we were moved to a room with a working TV. It, too, was recently upgraded and very nice. The place will be stellar once the reno is done.

Wifi was unreliable. Telephone tech support was excellent, the support from the hotel close to non existent although one staff member, Dawn, did try to help but the problem lay with their sub-standard system.

Extreme foul language heard from staff members at reception. Attitudes differed markedly between employees, some of whom gossip about guests.

Housekeeping only attends each room once per week, floor and surfaces filthy. Between services you are expected to attend reception to collect supplies such as loo paper, clean towels or bed linen then make up the bed yourself.

The entire property smells unpleasant.

A shuttle service is advertised but does not exist, no airport transfer is available.

The advertised breakfast included in the room rate does not exist, either. There is no room service and no kitchen on the premises. There is a store cupboard near reception, most items past the use by date. There are no grocery stores in walking distance.

The pool is empty and out of use. Most washing machines and dryers are broken. There is no working CCTV and no evidence of security. A guest's vehicle was stolen out of the car park.

Sub-standard room included broken lights, leaking lavatory, leaking kitchen faucet from which water bubbled up under the floorboards - it took a few days to be replaced. Bathroom extractor fan broken and \"none available\".

Only one of the two elevators was working and that was shared with contractors who were attending to renovations.

just an okay place to stay

check-in was smooth. went into room and had no toilet paper and the bathroom trash had not been dumped. found out later they only clean the rooms on Wednesday. due to it being a weekly rental option. stayed Saturday and Sunday night. floor in entry/kitchen area was also sticky. hot water took forever to get to the 5th floor I guess. lukewarm at best.

Room was not very clean, bed sheets and blankets were dirty and really worn out. We asked for clean blankets and were told there were no more blankets in the hotel. The refrigerator in the room sounded like a freight train and stank. There is nothing around the hotel apart from a liquor store. We walked along an expressway with no sidewalk to get to a waffle house to eat. It was close but not suited for pedestrians. Staff were friendly. I would not choose to stay here again.

The price was right for this overnight get-a-way for my wife and I. We had a very nice time, the room was nice but not as clean as we would have expected. The overall condition of the entire hotel, lets just say some TLC is needed to get this to a 5 star hotel. But overall very pleased and would stay here again in the future!

While the hotel is dog-friendly, there should be expectations enforced to not have a dog barking. All. Night. Long. I probably would have been better off sleeping in my car.

It's hard to like this property, but the personnel were fine. The first words we heard, after telling me they'd need to charge $50 to my card in case we damaged property, was that the television service was \"out\" throughout the building. I was traveling with my wife and at night we enjoy watching television. It's what we do. Beyond the television, the snack center was empty. It's not that we're heavy snackers, but who knows, it could happen. Just not what we were expecting to find.

Booked one room with 2 beds. Upon check-in those rooms not available. Gave us 2 rooms. My room AC didn't work. Moved me. AC didn't work. Moved again. AC okay. No television entire weekend due to DirectTV not working. My TV was smallest I've ever seen in a room anyway. Garbage can was full of previous occupants fast food and bag of grapes. Smelled bad too. On Sunday the water in the bathroom shutoff for 15 minutes. Desk staff knew nothing of any problems

Arrived approximately 11.15pm. I parked in the parking spot for those registering, and got out of the car. There was a man in front of the building whom I passed as I was walking in - he didn’t say anything to me but continued smoking. I saw the sign saying that doors locked after 11pm and to call the front desk. I picked up the phone and called - no answer. I was waiting for over 5 min for the joker outside to finish smoking so he could come in and check me in. Then proceeds to tell me that the electronic Keyes are sensitive. No joke! I tried over 10 times to swipe and I look the outside door before it registered. Then got to the room and had the same issue.
Room was clean and comfortable. View of the parking lot and a field with trees in it.
As I drive around the back of the building when I arrived - I passed the block enclosure the dumpster is located in. The doors for the enclosure were open and the dumpster was over flowing with trash bags all around the dumpster and piled up 2-3 bags high outside the enclosure in the parking spot closest to the dumpster.
Won’t be staying again.

We stayed at the Candlewood Suites Indianapolis Airport location from July 31 to August 5, 2024. It was one of the worst hotel stays we have ever had. We arrived for our check-in at 3 pm, and the room was not ready. We waited and returned at 3:15 pm and the room was “ready”. When we got up to the room, we discovered the room was not cleaned. There were blood stains and other yellow stains on the pillow cases and the bed sheet. There were black specs and food crumbs through the sheets and the comforter. There was dirt and debris on the floors.
We went down to the front desk, who contacted the hospitality manager. The hospitality manager came up herself with a different set of bed sheets and confirmed the dirty state of the room. She changes the sheets herself (which showed a ripped and stained mattress cover underneath) and the replacement sheets and pillow cases had yellow stains on them, that we didn’t see until after she left. She took the comforter, stating she would likely need to wash it and bring it back. She stated that the previous management “left a lot of bills” and stated “the new team is working to get everything back in order.” We would find out that the old management was gone last December, so in 9 months they haven’t accomplished much.

No pool, which listing says it has. Whole hotel is run down and broken down. No hot water. Dirty everywhere.

I didn’t stay at this hotel, the first room guy I was assigned to bathroom sink was dirty, the second room I was assigned to was on fine 2nd floor and smelled of cigarette smoke and dogs. Hotel not that well lit, mold on the ceiling of the first floor. I felt like I was in a crack hotel, I felt very unsafe and uncomfortable when walking to my room and seen that there was a door cracked but the room had no light on and there was a sign on the other room door stating that there was a dog in the room. I ended up getting an extra room which was $30.00 per night less than the cost of Hotels.Com. go directly to thw hotel and don't waste extra money through a booking site. Unexpected conditions…

The only reason I’m being so generous with my stars is because the staff is really really nice. I enjoyed exiting and entering the hotel
To happy faces, however I was expecting a completely different room the second I walked in. It was thundering one night and there were massive leaks through the ceiling getting the floor wet and the bed while I was sleeping. The window was broken so I wasn’t able to open it on a hot day, and the shower felt like knives in my back. I’m not a person to leave a not nice review, I’m really not. I just want others to be aware of what they’re walking into, because it’s not the room in the pictures.

Walked in and nobody was at the front desk. there was a sign to call someone’s cell phone, so we did. Nobody answered the phone but a few minutes later, two employees walked in through the back door. They were nice enough and got us checked in quickly.

The room was clean. Furniture a bit worn. Bed was comfy. You could tell this used to be a smoking room from the stale smell and an old cigarette burn on the tub. The vibe I got was that most of the people staying here are long term guests.

The place was fine because we only needed a place to sleep for 6-8 hours.

Found bed bug in my first room, staff reacted quickly and professionally to locate me in a new room.
Second room had an old pair of socks left in one of the bathroom drawers that created a very strong nasty odor. One of my washroom towels had a red stain on it, I'm not too sure what the stain was from. Similar stains were found on the curtains.
Throughout this all, I would like to mention that the staff was always friendly, helpful and accomodating.

Hate to leave a review like this because the staff was extremely friendly…however, the pictures are extremely deceiving. The hotel was in poor, run down condition. We never took our shoes off in the room unless we were sleeping. The carpet had several dark stains throughout, the smell was very musty with a lot of smoke smell too. The shower faucet wouldn’t turn to the shower head. The pull out couch had rust stains. There were no extra linens for the pull out couch. Half of the kitchen items were missing. Just an overall poor condition for the room. The staff was super friendly and was trying really hard.

Microwave didn’t work, the shower head vibrated so violently that the sound was annoying. One remote for 2 tvs, however the second day we came back from cheer comp, the bedroom tv was on! 🤔 Additional linens for the pull out sofa wasn’t available in the room or at all. Key cards wouldn’t work the exterior doors but functioned properly for our room. Couldn’t adjust the thermostat for heat, it was stuck on “d5”.

The only positives from this hotel was the friendly older gentleman that checked us in. The location was 10ish minutes from the convention center.

Came up here for my daughter to get tests ran at Riley and couldn’t even give her a bath before we went, so her night routine was down the drain. This was for a family trip for an early flight out of IND. If you want a relaxing shower, don't stay here. The water took 10-15mins to warm up then it was pelting me so hard with a non-adjustable shower head, I had to get out without washing myself. My son couldn't even shower at all. The shower head was loud and vibrating, I thought it would fly out of the wall. The bathtub itself was dirty with hair and chipped paint and the towels were stained yellow. My duvet was dirty and stained along with stains on the carpet throughout the hotel. I would never stay at this location again.

The good things? Spacious with a large closet and kitchen and it was extremely quiet considering it is near the interstates and the airport.

Service desk person was super friendly. However, I left immediately after seeing the room. The place was filthy. Sheets on the bed were stained, carpet was disgusting. I left and went to another hotel.

Room tv was broken and front desk did nothing about and didn’t offer to move their room or anything …so my husband and son had to fix it in their own.

We did not stay at this property. Our first room we were assigned was not cleaned, towels in the bathroom on the floor, garbage everywhere. They checked us into a second room and it was very dirty. The bathtub was so so dirty. We ended up checking out and finding a new place to stay.

Bad experience of a Marriott hotel ever.

First got in to check in took a while because no one was at the front desk. After getting checked in and into my 1st room the toilet seat was broke and smoke detectors were beeping constantly. Bedroom sheets were soiled with it seem like body fluids. Next room they moved us in telephone was not working and smoke detectors were beeping in that room as well. We disable the smoke detector and put it in the closet to get some sleep. Hotel itself need some updates and cleaning.

Our room was great. Super clean and always smelled great. Even thru out the hotel. Shay was great! There was also a gentleman that was kind enough to show us how the luggage cart was used. Plus he was funny. Over all great time, thank you so much!

We stay 2 nights, three days! Breakfast delicious, convenient and really organized and clean! We like the room, the clean up etc. Staff really nice and easy to talk, humble and readiness to help! We like that they have orden at the swimming pool and whirlpool area!!

Amenities area not stocked....TV dud not work...no signal....A/C froze up literally....had to shut it off to unthaw...refrigerator waa extremely noisy all night....room seemed unkempt. Would not choose Candlewood again
