Kathryn
We booked here because of the high 8.4 rating. It is a 7 at best. It was clean and front desk staff was pleasant. But hotel common areas are dated — tired carpets and chipped purple paint — and rooms are super basic. Telephone shower head leaked. Worst thing? The highway and industrial noise and damp, musty AC smell in the room. Price was ok but would have rather paid more for a true 8.4 quality.
Joseph
It was as expected.
Jason
Staff was asleep when I walked in. Nice when I woke her up. Rust in bathroom. Heavy dampness.
James
I was worried about the cost of a belatedly-scheduled trip to Jackson over the July 4 weekend. I shouldn't have! LaQuinta in Pearl was clean, efficient, and hospitable. It's dog-friendly, so my chihuahua Lucy was able to join me. And it was one of the lowest prices in the area!
Pamela
Room was clean but had a wet musty smell which was no problem for me cause I travel with my own air freshener air conditioner also didn’t work to my liking but I also travel with a fan it was clean housekeeping got my towels promptly when I asked her. Breakfast was your typical hotel breakfast I enjoyed the waffle maker staff friendly parking wasn’t bad
Krishna Kishore
Breakfast is not good. Rooms and lobby area in the floors are terrible. Lot of dust and no cleanness at all.
Neil
Room was clean, linens fresh, but the facility is showing signs of aging. Staff was prompt and attentive. Breakfast was as expected for a hotel at this price.
Mark
Staff was all friendly and helpful and the rooms were super clean and we felt right at home. Pretty good breakfast and fresh orange juice.
Robin
Stayed overnight on a long road trip. The room was just fine and clean. Only negative would be the noisy a/c unit, but it didn’t keep anyone awake, even the littles.
Aura
I didn’t use the amenities. I stopped here just to sleep basically of no the air was extremely musty in the room, the bedsheets were clean in the bathroom was clean, so I decided to stay there, but the air was awful and I feel like it might’ve been damp in the room when I woke up
Judy E
Friendly and helpful staff. Some areas such as carpet was showing age. Pool was green.
Michale
Stay was great I enjoyed the beautiful
Vivekanand
Bad breakfast and rooms
Luz
The hotel stinks of mildew and mold
Felicia
For a quick off highway stop a safe area, I had my kids and pets. Pet friendly hotels can be iffy. This was great! Customer fron desk service excellent many restaurants around to choose from. To my surprise shopping too!
Tammy
Common area (elevator, hallways) needs to be cleaned better. Parking was good.
Dora
Staff extremely helpful and courteous
Jeanna
The breakfast was good and rooms were clean.
Sayra
Stayed with family for a night, it was a great choice. Continental breakfast was great, has different option for you to choose from. Staff was welcoming, helpful and kind. The bed I stayed in could’ve been better but that’s just my experience (you might get a diff one). Amenities and cleanliness inside the room were great. Will definitely stay here again if need be :)
Robert
Good hotel
Faith
Stayed one night as it's on the way. Location is convenient by 55. Hotel needs major updates. Bathroom door could be closed. Majority of equipment in the fitness center don't work. Loud noise from the business in the back of the hotel.
Marty
Room was great and the price was right!
Max

Everything about the hotel EXCEEDED my expectations!!!
Lisa
The night staff was very friendly checking in. My room at the hotel needed a renovation. The lock was falling off the door, the shower curtain dirty, window curtain falling off
Musty smell in the room. The bed sheets were clean and comfortable.

Stephanie
Clean bed, college dorm room microwave breakfast, dirty stained couch in room.
Patrick
Every one is very friendly
Joanne
We enjoyed our stay here.
Michael
Excellent customer service
Brian
The furniture in the room had water stains all over it, the entire room felt wet due to the humidity level in the room. Even the bedsheets had a sticky wet feeling. The in the room left our socks, black. Either renovation or a very deep cleaning of the carpets along with the furniture would do wonders for not only the smells, but also just the way the room looks and feels. Recommend adding dehumidifiers to the rooms to control the humidity that the commercial air conditioners really cannot deal with.

Breakfast was good and delicious. Parking was good. We felt safe staying here. Could use a little updating with bedding, but otherwise, it was perfect for what we needed.
Rex
Disappointing stopover….rented a studio and the sofa was so dirty had to lay towels down to deal with it. Pet poo poo bag dispenser had not been refilled leaving people to just let it lay. Side door had not been repaired for quite some time not allowing customers to use their room key to enter. Place definitely needs done touch…will not use this LaQuinta again and we are regular users of LaQuinta.
ralph
Room was very good. However, the door frame made contact with the door when closing.

Stayed overnight for a transit. The room was big and clean. Had a late checkin but the staff was very friendly to assist at the late hour
Rev Woody
The room was clean, the staff was and is excellent. Parking was easy to get in and out. It was a bit noisy in our room, everything else was OK.
Christopher
Hotel staff were courteous, recently remodeled interior looked sharp, room was clean (and smelled clean), bed was comfortable, location was convenient, and the breakfast was really really good. Breakfast items: Waffles, bagels, sliced bread (3 varieties), muffins, biscuits (and gravy), pastries, flavored instant oatmeal, three different cold cereals, omelette, bacon, sausage, yogurt, apple and orange juice, coffee and decaf, milk, bananas and apples, boiled eggs, and I'm sure I'm missing something.
I was thoroughly impressed with this place overall, excellent value. Thank you to all the folks running this one, you all are doing a fantastic job, well done. We'll be back.

There is a musty smell as soon as you enter the lobby, the carpet in the hallways is old and stained, the room smells musty too. The towels and sheets were clean, but the comforter was lumpy and smelled like mildew. The sleeper couch was also stained and lumpy. Thankfully our teenager could sleep on it, but said it was very uncomfortable. The breakfast was the best part. Lots of choices: eggs, sausage, bacon, biscuits and gravy, fruit, waffles, yogurt, bagels and bread, instant oatmeal, juice and coffee. The staff were also friendly for the most part.

Free and fast wifi! Friendly staff and clean rooms! Allows animals and doesn't smell like they have animals in the rooms.

Great location. Close to Cracker Barrel. Would definitely stay here again
Anthony
Staff were nice. Bed was comfortable. The towel rack and tissue dispenser were badly rusted. Plug fell out of the outlet. The preformed eggs were weird.

Hotel common areas and rooms are really run down and dirty. Our fitted sheet had a blood stain on it! DO BETTER!!
Eunice
Room is spacious and clean. I had stayed here before as a pit stop and did so again this yr. Staff are courteous and nice, the lady at the front desk let me use the printer after I checked out.
Katy
Room was large, clean, comfortable bed.
Mike
Everything was nice. Seems to be something about a pet fee I need to look into now that I'm home.

I checked in late and had to wait a bit for staff to check me in. very friendly.
Room was somewhat clean. Found a silverfish in the bathroom and past bug smashes on the wall. Breakfast wasn’t too bad. It was below freezing outside and still warm in my room.

Very friendly staff! However the overall feel was at best, dingy. Bedding coverlet was dirty with brown marks or stains on it. Bathroom appeared clean at first glance, but floors and corners were not swept up, had dirt and hair in them. Walls were in need of paint, carpets in our hall were stained or looked like bleach spill. Definitely won’t stay on our way back through.
christa
Very nice staff.
David
Room was clean. Staff was courteous. Breakfast bar had plenty of options.
Scott
The staff, room, & amenities were solid.

Yes! The beds were well made , and the room was spotless. In addition, breakfast was unexpectedly good , and well stock.

I had a very disappointing stay at this motel. The staff were rude and unprofessional during the check in process. On top of that, the air conditioner in the room did not work properly, which made the stay very uncomfortable and When asked for an extra fan they denied it. Overall, poor service and lack of basic maintenance. I would not recommend this place.

The room was clean and quiet, which was great for the price. Breakfast was fine too, and the staff was nice.

Furniture broken, “questionable” trash under chair, sheet was torn, shower head leaked everywhere, overall did not live up to expectations for La Quinta in previous expriences

Good accomadations, friendly staff and breakfast pretty good. I would've enjoyed old fashioned grits and fresh scrambled eggs. But overall, it was a pleasant experience.

Enjoyed our stay at this location and wouldn’t hesitate to return. Had a few issues occur which was resolve quickly and satisfactory by the staff therefore I can’t leave a negative review. The property is doing some upgrades and none of the workers interfered with our stay in any way. The breakfast area provides a good healthy variety and the individuals working the area assured it was stocked and nothing ran out. The front desk personnel did a fantastic job handling the few issues that occurred with the door locks and was advised those were part of the upgrades occurring. The owners, who reside on property, were very friendly in passing and again handles our few issues promptly. Again enjoyed this location and price point plus availability of shopping and restaurants close by will guarantee us a return trip.

Staying in room 105. Smelled like a wet dog. Outdated, needs a fresh coat of paint and a lot of deodorizer. Front desk staff were friendly. You get what you pay for with this one.
Andrea
Premade and preshaped flat eggs are tasteless. Real scrambled eggs taste better.
The sausage was good.
Also, any stale bagels or bread should be thrown out.
Need to have decaf coffee caraf and hot water for hot tea with milk.
Staff was very friendly!

Check in was great but the power went out at 8:15pm. Not anything the hotel could prevent but they need to invest in a generator for back up power.
