We stayed for a weekend. Upon arrival, we got checked in. Got to our room, the key wouldn't work. Husband took the key to the front desk (we stayed and waited in the hallway with our luggage). Front desk person told him to give him a min to check others in. Husband told him to just come up when he was done. He didn't want to leave us alone in the hallway (me and 2 children). We waited about 10 min. Husband had to go back down to get him. He was sitting on the counter top on his phone. He came up with a drill. Did some drilling on the card entry and we eventually got in. We had to ask for more towels. There was no soap in the bathroom or trash can. The tub had hair in it. There was a red stain on the floor. A set of blinds didn't work. After we left, noticed a larger than expected charge to my card for parking. We were charged extra for an \"oversized vehicle\" of which we weren't told. Overall, this hotel needs some serious updates. We won't be staying at this location again.

It was super clean and the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. The bed and sheets were very comfy, and the room overall felt like luxury. The location was great for walk-ability in downtown Jackson.
My only whines were that the coffee maker in my room didn't work (I just went downstairs), and the soap hadn't been replenished/replaced in my room. I'm sure had I said something, the friendly staff would've made it right. Other first-world whines were what the downstairs bar was incredibly limited, and I had forgotten my toothbrush and they didn't have any to purchase in the snack shop or have any of the cheap ones to give away.
Overall, I would totally stay again, and actually booked a night for the next month when I'm in town again.

DO NOT STAY THERE. This is NOT a Hilton quality. I’ve been here for four nights and room has yet to be cleaned. Asked and they said you “have to request it”; so I did last night. Came back in the afternoon - after four- and the towels were still on the floor as I left it. There’s a sign that says every other day but a staff said it’s now every three days. I spoke to the head of housekeeping who “promised” that she will get it done tomorrow. Today is tomorrow she saw me and she gave me the longest stories. This is disgusting. There’s also the loud fridge that you’d need to unplug to sleep. Pay more and get more.

We were scheduled to stay here and arrived and kept moving and found another local hotel. The area that it was in was extremely sketchy. There were three large security guards standing outside the front entrance. The building next door had its windows broken out and most of the other buildings seemed to be closed down. While the hotel may have been nice inside (i dont know) i did not feel safe having my family stay there.

The room was poorly prepared without wash cloths or towels, no shower gel in the dispenser no regular coffee pods (just decaf). The manager had no support staff requiring long waiting periods to correct issues. The key cards didn’t work and had to wait to get that issue corrected also.
The thermostat didn’t work and the temperature was 78*.
The valet parking was advertised (sign in the lobby) to be $28 but we were charged $38.

I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with my recent stay at your establishment. Upon my arrival, I was met with a substandard room that was in a state of disrepair. The floors were unclean, the bed was damaged, and the air conditioning unit was malfunctioning.

Despite my repeated requests to be transferred to a different room, I was only offered room 410, which was even more unsatisfactory. I documented the condition of both rooms with photographs as evidence of the cleanliness issues.

I promptly lodged a complaint with the night desk clerk, who assured me that management would be contacted to address the room issues. However, I have not received any response from them.

Upon my departure, the desk clerk informed me that she was the supervisor and had not received any communication from the other desk clerk regarding the room issues. She suggested that I should have booked through their channel, as she would have been able to assist me more effectively.

I have since written a formal complaint, providing evidence of the room conditions and the lack of response from management. The desk clerk, despite her title, was unable to assist me due to the fact that I booked through a third-party service.

I am deeply disappointed with my experience at your hotel and would appreciate it if you could investigate this matter further.

The first room was not in good condition. We had trouble forcing the door open on initial entry, and once in the room noted that the heavy door had sagged at an angle due to a failed upper hinge and cracked door. The hinge screws were loose but it looked like a repair would take some time. In this same room we had began to access the safe in the closet and noted that the closet doors were off their tracks, and very difficult to move due to the off-track doors. That would be frustrating to then use the closet. The sagged front door was quite a surprise and show stopper.
The next room assigned was a nice comfortable room. We noted the room had no coffee cups for the coffee maker and no plastic glasses for drinking cold drinks or water. We had only one hand towel in the room. Other towels and wash clothes were good.
On night one we went down to use the local bar/grill for some food and found that the chef had called in sick, no food available. They did offer to golf cart us over to a local restaurant, we declined.
Initial hotel access is intimidating and unfriendly due to valet parking to the hotel lot only, in front of the hotel for $28 per night.
We parked a half block away, (and paid for that by the hour, while checking in. They should clearly allow some temporary parking in front while the parking situation is decided. We found the railroad parking area for $10 per day, 1/2 block away. That worked out, but it was unnecessary stress on initial arrival to the hotel.

Bar and restaurant were closed by 9pm - despite out tour book saying the bar was a hive of activity.
Breakfast in the morning was poor. Plastic cutlery, paper cups, no bowls for cereal or side plates for toast etc.

My wife and I were genuinely excited for our 3-day stay at a Hilton property in Jackson, Mississippi (February 12–15, 2026). I’ve always trusted the Hilton Hotels & Resorts name, so this experience was especially disappointing.

From the start, the welcome at the front desk felt cold and dismissive. We were told only one room key was available due to a “limited supply,” which seemed unusual. When we entered our first room, we were met with a strong foul odor, and the toilet had not been flushed and contained feces. We immediately requested a room change.

The second room was more tolerable, but still had several issues — a musty carpet smell, mildew in the shower, no toilet tissue upon arrival, and repeated unsuccessful requests for clean towels and washcloths. We were also surprised to learn the hotel had no drinking water available for purchase, and we had to take an Uber to Dollar General to buy water and other basics.

I don’t usually leave negative reviews, but I felt it was important to share our experience. I simply expected basic cleanliness, professionalism, and comfort — especially at this price point. I hope management takes steps to improve, because this stay did not reflect the standards I associate with Hilton.

And out of 0° windchill and the heaters were broken, the windows blinds would not close so the sunlight will come directly into our room and we have a king suite I had like seven windows inside
We had a pullout sofa with no blankets called the front and they wouldn’t give us any

We were moved from rooms 3 times.
First room the toilet wasnt working - made us repack and go back to the lobby
Second room they sent us to wasn't cleaned up. Guess what, back down and wait for a room.
Third rooms key lock wasnt working, and we were left waiting in the hallway for a while.
Fourth room all of the above worked and so we stayed but the TV would turn itself down after 10 seconds. We were too tired and just stayed.

Terrible experience. The lady at the front desk tried to do her best but she was short staffed, or something wasnt ok here. She said we would be refunded in full. Guess what, didnt happened either. Very unfortunate.

Just awful overall experience at this Hilton. The hotel overall is quite run down. The area is just unsafe. Would not recommend it.

Do not stay here!!!!!! I felt completely unsafe. The staff would rude. After two nights, we ask for toilet paper & towels because our room had not been cleaned or supplies replenished, we were told we could pick up toilet paper but they had no clean towels. The water was brown like the color of coffee. Unhoused folks were sneaking in the hotel. The only nice person on site was the valet parking attendant named J. Breakfast buffet cost 14.95 and they didn’t even have any eggs. Hilton should be ashamed to have their name on this place.

The people there were very helpful (other than not knowing the answers to some questions that they should know, like whether kids pay adult prices for breakfast) and friendly. Yes, the area around the hotel is sadly run down, and there aren't many things to do (anymore) within walking distance. I really hope the area overall can recover, but that's not a reflection of the hotel itself. Unfortunately, the hotel was out of: soap in the lobby bathroom (some was in a cup that you could pour into your hand), as well as paper towels, shampoo and body wash in the shower dispenser, coffee cups, pool towels were out but we got some an hour or so after we asked.
Really nice people doing their best in a hotel that was once amazing. I hope they can come back from this, but I feel like they will shut down soon.

Hotel is decent and beds were comfy. Bar in hotel is very expensive ($8 for a beer). You also get charged an extra $28 for valet parking that you have to do per night. This hotel is in a not so nice part of Jackson. We did enjoy the Iron Horse Grill around the corner. Greta food, drinks and music.

To start with, there’s no guest parking unless you pay a mandatory $28 per day fee.

As I parked in the front of the hotel in an area that appeared to belong to the hotel, saw the attendant who acknowledged me and I went to my room, no call and the hotel requested my car be towed $378.00 later got the car back.

No room service was provided during the duration of my stay.

The overall experience as I said was very poor and for the fees charged unacceptable.

Beautiful hotel, but several issues to note: 1) the front desk wasn't very helpful on a very basic need: a forgotten toothbrush. No complimentary toothbrush (fine), but also no option in the hotel sundry shop, and unclear where we might go nearby to get one; 2) AC in the room was lowered, but the room temp never went below 75, a bit warm for my taste; and 3) the shower was mildewed and the shower door would not close (a 2\" gap), resulting in extensive water on the floor, using up all extra towels to contain. These are all fixable issues, and unexpected at a Hilton.

The bathrooms need to at least be deep cleaned if they can’t be updated…. The air conditioner in our room was so loud!! But at least it worked and the room was cool. The valet was good, but other than that….. not so much I felt very dirty after showering and using the pathetic excuse for a towel!! The sheets were itchy and the desk in the room was covered in hair!! Gross and not a good experience. The place has potential …. Clean it up!

I was very disappointed as when we checked in we were advised that the electricity had been shut off and had just come back on.

I appreciate things something out of the control of the hotel but I think we could have been advised before we arrived and which would have enabled us looked for another hotel.

We were unable to have a key for our rooms 3 in total. This causes issues like entering the hotel from the street. Coming and going from the rooms. We alley needed to have the person from the desk around. This did give concern for the security as there were 3 different people letting us into our rooms. Although I must say nothing went missing. Air con had just come back on but the hotels was hot !!

We arrived on the Sunday but had been advised the hotel was empty because they had to ask everyone to leave and find them alternative accommodation.

Internet was a bit hit and miss.

The restaurant was not cooking hot food and breakfast was just bagels or cereal. We had been advised hot would be available.

The area is a bit sketchy. We were with my elderly parents and it was a little uncomfortable coming in and out of the hotel to be met by people asking for money.

The desk was closed when we first arrived. When we did get a room it smelled of marijuana. The staff was nice and allowed a room change. All rooms were supposed to be smoke free. Many lights in the hallway are missing covers. The room was hot and stayed at 76 all night. We could not get it any lower. Now as far as outside the hotel…there are many homeless around. So you’ll have to valet your car for the night. Most restaurants are closed on a Sunday, which is when we came through. Bad timing.

I stayed one night. My a/c went out in my room sometime overnight or in the early morning hours which caused me to wake early because I was so hot. The shower door needed servicing, it was very difficult/almost impossible to open and close. The body wash container in the shower was almost empty – I barely had enough to wash. And there was no hair conditioner provided. I tried calling down to the front desk and no one picked up. When I checked out, I calmly explained everything that happened to the front desk associate who stated she would like to give me a refund, however, since I booked through hotels.com I would need to contact them to request the refund. She was very kind and helpful and even gave me her name to tell hotels.com. However, when hotels.com reached out to the hotel to see if they would issue a refund, they refused.
