My room was very clean as usual. My favorite thing about this property is the patio with the fountain. I wasn't in a room overlooking the patio this time but it was still lovely.

This is a boutique, hotel directly across from the capital, and we have stayed there before. The facility itself is really interesting, and the rooms are quite nicely appointed, even the smaller ones. There’s a beautiful outside garden area to sit and read or enjoy a meal, and an amazing facility to host large gatherings. There is even a rooftop area with a bar that is opened at certain times we’ve missed. The offered breakfast is only available for an extremely short period of time each morning, and to be honest, its quality this time was not as high as the previous two times. That was disappointing. The hotel itself is small and quiet and reasonably priced. In terms of nearby food, however, there are only two places, and neither of them are particularly special. That said, we have eaten at both more than once. Walking around the outside of the facility at night doesn’t seem overly comfortable, as there are some homeless people about, but there’s no reason one can’t get in their car and head off to one of the nearby restaurants or something further away. The staff is extremely friendly, and overall we really like this place, which is why we’ve stayed multiple times, and if in Jackson, will do so again.

You have to stay here!! The care for details is perfect. The back garden is beautiful, the perfect place to sit and enjoy a break. Each room has been designed uniquely, and the small touches of hospitality are amazing. All staff welcoming and grow the spirit of your stay. Overall beautiful space. I did have to request changing my firat room due to hairs on the bed via sheets and in the pillow cases. Staff was friendly about this accommodation My new room was incredibly nice. Lovely setup of a separate living room and bedroom. Spacious closet and TVs in both rooms.water filter pitchers were a nice addition, but the filters didn't fit the pitcher. The morning breakfast was a treat with grits, meat, biscuits, and eggs. Really felt like down home cooking to start your day. If you're gluten free there may be less options. The $15 food cresit Expedia claims is avaliable doesnt exist and is actually a free drink credit.
Overall, i really enjoyed the space. Found it very close to the museums and walkable to some good eateries like Hal & Mals. Lovely and quiet area that's also not too far a drive from the airport. If back in Jackson, I would definitely stay again.

Staff was excellent. Breakfast was good. Bed was comfortable however the remainder of the room wasn’t as clean feeling as I expected. The layers of dust behind the headboard have been building up for quite a long time. The paint touch up on the walls was a different color which felt dirty. The stain on bed spread grossed me out. The gap under the door was very large and let in a lot of light during the night. The toilet ran all night (we notified the front desk upon checkout, they thanked us and said they would check into it right away). We liked the gated parking.

Unfortunately the shower was broken - the temperature was stuck on hot and I could not have a comfortable shower. The rooftop garden door was locked during open hours. Upon arrival, the room was not clean. The floor had not been vacuumed and had debris all over it. The shower was almost not operational and the drain was extremely blocked making the water remain in the bath tub and not drain away for a vet long time. This meant I had to stand in soapy water and could not rinse my feet properly. Overall condition of the room is quite old and worn. Breakfast options were very limited.

A clean and spacious place to stay right in the heart of Jackson. I had a little initial trouble as my room had a large industrial fan in it, but I was swiftly assigned another room that was equally nice and fan-free. The included breakfast was ample and tasty, and if you're interested in the state history and Civil Rights museums, they are literally across the street.

This was the perfect place to stay while in town for the Mississippi Book Festival. The small hotel is a great value for what you get…a very nice and comfortable room, a full home cooked breakfast included in the price of your stay, free and easy parking, and the convenience to several nearby good restaurants. It was safe, clean, and pretty. It was a quick visit but I’ll be back!

This was quite a unique property. We loved the room and the outdoor garden. The biggest disappointment centered around the staff. We made a mistake about the breakfast time. Our fault entirely. We arrived at 8:30 on the dot (I looked at my watch) and everything was completely cleared already. Breakfast is over at 8:30. But clearly the staff began clearing before the appointed time. We were kindly allowed to go into the kitchen to help ourselves to eggs and bacon before it had been packaged for disposed of otherwise. But there were no biscuits or toast or anything. One staff person did provide condiments and tableware which was accommodating. She also helped with coffee. We were told the staff needed to prepare for lunch at 8:30am but noticed many sitting looking at their phones after minimal lunch set up this early. Bottles of water were sitting on the food counter so we took one thinking this was available for hotel guests. Went to our car. Coming back in to collect our suitcases, a staff person had been tracking us down to tell us we had to pay $3 for the bottle of water. We explained we did not realize it was not available for guests since there were out on the counter. We did pay upon check out. But clearly this person was looking all around for us. I would not stay here again. I did not feel welcome nor that our patronizing of this hotel was appreciated. The location did not seem near any restaurants, confirmed by the evening staff who checked us in.

Great sized room with ante lobby area. Comfortable beds, nice decor, some Aveda product provided (no conditioner). Very quiet, no roof topped bar open during our stay. Perfectly located for the two museums, literally, a 1 min walk away. Also perfect for Hal & Mals if visiting.

State Street was undergoing construction and part of the road was blocked off. Judging by the gates, it was not the safest part of town. The hotel was fine, nice amenities, good breakfast, in-room Keurig was great. Furnishings were a bit outdated, but that’s no big deal.

My only complaint would be the gate phone has some horrible feedback, I would recommend calling the front desk with your cell phone instead, but as this was a one-time issue checking in was not a big deal to us.

However there’s not much within walking distance (not their fault, just something to note) and the room I was in the coffee mugs and cups were dirty and I found a cockroach in the room. Probably a one off and it’s an old hotel so comes with the territory I guess.

There really are no restaurants near by. The parking lot is very small and tight and hard to maneuver in and out of. There happened to be a football game so traffic was insane. You could barely get to and from the hotel. I’ll definitely stay at a hotel a little farther out. The staff were amazing and breakfast was good. No mini fridge or microwave! Major downside.

Although we could not get into our room, we were allowed to use another room to get dressed. This was extremely helpful. Will definitely recommend this hotel. Give Ms.Jackie a raise.

I needed a place which was within walking distance of training being held in the area. I was able to check in early, breakfast and lunch was magnificent, and my rooms were beautifully decorated and comfortable. One fixture needed bulbs.

This is the cutest, most elegant place to stay you’ve never heard of. Tucked away on the edge of downtown Jackson. Large rooms with living space. Gorgeous outdoor space for drinks from the bar or the breakfast buffet. Or visit the rooftop to watch the sun go down. We will definitely be back.
