We got there 415pm. Check in was 3pm. Our room was not ready. She offered to take our luggage which I said don't worry about it we will ride t the beach. She said they would let us know later when it was available. No one ever responded back. We got charged for a room that was not available. Thank God another hotel had a room or we would have slept in our car I guess. We asked for a credit and was told because I was nice and because we were offered luggage assistance we were a no show. And that they had a right to not have an available room because they work hard to provide rooms. I'm trying to contact corporate because this was awful!

We had a room on the first floor. It was spacious, two queen beds. My son went to use the toilet and it had urine in it already (not ours), he tried to flush it before using. The toilet didn’t flush, the chain was disconnected from the flap. The front desk clerk fixed it. My son used it and the chain immediately became disconnected again after one flush. I fixed it. It appeared someone had used a paper clip to fix the chain previously. The very next flush it came off again. I fixed it again and had to twist the paper clip part and it stayed on.
The tub appeared to have a dried film on its surface. The shower drain also drained very slowly and would the tub would fill almost completely when showering, it was very slippery.
The lighting is dark in the room. There are only 2 scones by the mirror. And one of ours was burnt out. So we had one sconce. There were two lamps elsewhere in the room but they were not bright.
The TV screen had a line running down from top to bottom where the display was broken, it was a long white line.
Breakfast was complimentary and a decent selection. There was a sign for fruit, but there was never any fruit, we were there for three mornings.
Bed was comfortable. Mini fridge and microwave in room.

DO NOT STAY HERE UNDER ANY CONDITION. If I could give 0 stars I would. Checked in. Got to the room, absolutely unsafe. My door lock was carved into and every room on the floor had this exact same thing (see pics) I immediately leave. Not only is the hotel unsafe the area is very rough. I go to leave and the front desk said they’ll cancel it. I leave. I go to another hotel and the front desk said at that one that they wouldn’t even have stayed there. I’m a young woman. And a grown man said he wouldn’t stay there where it’s located. Immediately entering my room felt unsafe. My room was barely clean. The comforter had stains on it. The ottoman was falling apart. The front of the hotel/hang over of the entrance was literally falling down. Barely any lights in the lobby. Elevator felt/looked like a prison. So I cancel and they refuse to refund me too. I booked 2 nights and they won’t refund either night. Manager is impossible to get on the phone to return a call. They only work 9-3. No wonder this place is awful. Manager is never there to regulate it. Do not stay here unless you want to feel like you will be robbed the whole night and that your car will be broken into. I was in the building for maybe 15 minutes and truly felt unsafe. Good luck.

Nightmare hotel stay to good night sleep

My husband and I always travel and stay at different hotels. What we’ve learned is that prepay and pay at property are two different policies. We were not aware of the pay at property policy that allowed for this hotel to charge before we checked in. Was not happy about it but talked to hotels.com and ok with the response. The manager was not very cheerful when greeting us. We got to our room and immediately knew we were not staying there. The odor was of old mildew, the sheets had stains and didn’t smell clean, the water was brown, the toilet did not work, as we had to place water in back of it to flush it. Managers response was that it was a different type of flushing system. We asked and received a different room that night. The reason for the 2 stars was for the over all experience, although my husband rated at 0 stars. The esthetics of the hotel was not worth the 5 star rating that was presented in the reviews when booking, otherwise we would not have stayed there. The managers responses throughout this experience was borderline professional. It was more robotic and not apologetic at all…. It was more of a it is what it is affect.

The hotel is in need of renovation. The room is showing a lot of wear with scuffs and chipped paint. There are several EV chargers, but only two of them worked and even those were on a loose mounting post and appear to have run into a few times.

Not the worst but certainly not staying again.

Not a terrible place to stay, but would not want to stay again. There are no bags available for dirty laundry, breakfast was offered but almost nothing was available, no ice machine on campus worked. My child tripped on their uneven carpet and skinned his face; I asked for a first aid kit to get some ointment and was told they do t have one. Someone on the 3rd floor had a large breed dog that barked day and night for both of the nights we stayed. We had a group of 7 staying in adjoining rooms and we only had 4 towels with lukewarm water to bathe in.

8:30 am, breakfast was picked over and not being refreshed. They replaced the dove body wash with a foul smelling, cheap body wash. There were ONLY two towel and one washcloth… for two people. Upon arrival, we were greeted by the hostess watching videos on her phone loud and full of profanity. Made no attempt at turning it off. Overall, big no for me.

The girl at the check in counter was super friendly! We checked in our room and it smelled awful, like sour wet carpet and the toilet didn’t flush. We were able to change rooms. We get to our new room and it was not much better. We have killed 2 roaches. The ice maker didn’t work. And the bathroom was not very clean. i definitely won’t stay here again.

My air didn’t want to work and I had to really mess with it for it to finally work. The halls smelled like cigarettes. Also the staff messed the room numbers up for someone who needed extra linens and they were banging on my door at 11pm. Scared me to death.
The property was right next to what we were in town for and was okay enough for us to stay 1 night but I wouldn’t recommend for long stays. Overall okay.

The rooms were not up to par at all. The smell was horrendous and the dust was thick. The staff was very nice but that stay was anxiety filled. We had to do a deep clean & disinfect the room. The smell was long lasting though, as if the carpet hadn’t been cleaned and someone/something urinated on it frequently.

Stayed here several times going back to 2019 and the room condition has greatly deteriorated. Hair dryer and room phone did not work, shower faucet and lever control were loose in the stall wall. Room was not very clean.

Well the water never actually got hot at all. And bathroom separated from the sink was just stupid and inconvenient. The front desk rep was EXTREMELY nice and courteous. But because the facility is understaffed you have to get extra towels or irons yourself. Because there was no ironing supplies in the rooms or enough towels. The rooms are spacious but the intense smell of fabuloso screams unclean and a cover up.

I stayed here because they listed an EV vehicle charger for an amenity. When I went to charge, I noticed the charging cable had been cut on 1 charger and the other just didn't work. Had I known they didn't work, I would have stayed somewhere else.

My room smelled like body odor and weed. It was disgusting and unbearable. I wish I had changed hotels it was so bad. The rooms are not kept up well. And the area felt unsafe.

When we arrived the front desk clerk couldn't be found. when she showed up she had an ear bud in her ear and didn't answer any of the questions I asked. No response, just handed me the room key. Every time we saw her she was sitting in the lobby on her phone. The outside is nice but the rooms are outdated.

We have stayed here 3 times total so far and have been very very pleased with our overall stay each time.

I will always give it 5 stars!

The only downfall, and this is because of MY OWN preference, the beds are firm. I personally like a soft plush bed and so does my husband but that’s the only thing we don’t love..but like I said, that’s just our preference.

Let me start by saying the staff was EXCELLENT. They were courteous, polite, kind, and did the best they could.

The hotel itself was understaffed. There was no room service at all. They didn’t have replacement towels when I asked for them. The trash by the ice machine was overflowing — for multiple days. There was no trash can in my room, so I had to take the trash to the one by the ice machine, so I knew it wasn’t emptied…
The gate to let you out of the parking lot wouldn’t open…
I truly dislike leaving bad reviews and would much rather leave a great one… so that’s why I put that the staff was truly excellent. There wasn’t a rude or unkind person at all…
I’m not going to even talk about the breakfast bar — let’s just say DoorDash will bring it to your door.

Bathroom door off the hinge, couldn’t close it. Elevators felt like at any moment it would not work, front desk area felt dingy, pillows / blankets felt damp not all the way dry. Other holiday inn and suites have food / drinks at the front desk for purchase — this hotel had little to no options for anything. Parking lot blocked by 18wheeler with a load of cars on it. Front desk personnel was very short in conversations, even though we’re IHG members — Overall experience was not great. I would not return to this establishment. Did not take pictures, did not think about it. Room 318 was where the issues were.

Dirty and stinky

The floor was very dirty. We all ended up with dirt on our socks after walking around the room. There was also an unpleasant odor in the building and in our room, and the odor was also in our bedding. At least one of the mattresses had a yellow stain on the side. The one bright spot was the employee at the front desk offered to switch rooms when we brought this issues to his attention, but when we tested it, that one smelled about the same. We decided to stay in the original room to avoid the hassle of changing. At breakfast, the fridge and drink machines were both out of service, so there was no milk for cereal or cream cheese for bagels. The bacon was good though. The location is convenient, and parking is free. I feel the staff did their best to accommodate us under the circumstances, but overall, we were very disappointed. Holiday Inn Expresses in general have been reliable in the past with reasonable rates, clean rooms, and free breakfasts, so this location may be an outlier. It needs a deep clean and air quality checks to bring it up to the Holiday Inn Express standards.

Our stay was overnight on the way home from our vacation. The hotel was very convenient and we had a nice stay at a different hotel of the same name.
The place was looked nice and there were many upgrades, but upon entering the room we noticed the door had been pried open with something and there were holes kicked into the interior doors. All night we heard the people next door, an exterior door slamming and some armed plain clothes “security” person walking about. Then there was also a female trying to pry another door open with a screwdriver across from our room. This was reported to the desk, we were told she worked at the hotel and was trying to get in for another customer.

Upon arriving, I felt like I was annoying to the person at the front desk, and I didn’t have much confidence that they could help me. The room wasn’t much better. The tub has a gross looking rust stain by the drain and the linens has a weird damp feeling to them even though they weren’t wet. The breakfast the next morning ran out of most things, and there was no hot water and the juice machine wasn’t working, along with the fridge for yogurt, etc. we were pretty excited to leave

The front desk had friendly staff. We went to Jackson for a Volleyball tournament. They said every room was booked. We had a suite and checked in with 4 people but only had 2 towels in our room. I asked for more but they wouldn’t give them to us until we turned in our two dirty towels. Again, we had 4 people staying in a room and only given 2 towels at a time. Mind blown. Breakfast was decent, not too noisy, parking was fine and we felt safe so all in all it was an OK stay but just annoying that we had to share towels.

This property was very obviously unclean. There was hair on the pillows when we first checked in, cobwebs everywhere, white fluids in the shape of a crotch on the couch, cobwebs, broken outlets and fixtures, a mini fridge that was barely cool, and rust on the fixtures. Don’t stay here.
