Nice location but the hotel is certainly tired and seems that a lot of details are being overlooked. A shame because it really has potentially. With some better cleaning and some investment in the property it will soon be back to what it was.

Serpiano Hotel is located on the top of a mountain; it has a picturesque view of Lake Lugano from its outdoor restaurant. It also has an indoor swimming pool and Jacuzzi. Breakfast and dinners were excellent.

Highly enjoyable stay with superior Ticino views

I visited the hotel with my mum. Despite a rainy day and evening, we enjoyed the stay very much. We had a room with a mountain view that was in reality nicer than on the pictures! The hotel facility comes with large outside area that is taken care of to the last detail. We had a superb dinner and drinks. The reception ladies but also waitress in restaurant are kindly, professional and very helpful. This all made our trip unforgettable.

Nice respite from the City

You need to rent a car to get around. There are no kettles in the room but there is a small fridge. Foxtown is just nearby and so that was the life saver. The views were spectacular. But do be careful driving up as it is narrow and winding.... meant for only one car even thought it is a 2 way road. It is a 3-star hotel so dont expect much.... but for what they did offer, you cant find fault with it. We will stay at this place the next time we head to FoxTown.

Great view & staff but let down by basic flaws

Lovely view and very friendly staff. Nice indoor pool. Let down by lack of air con in the rooms, very average breakfast (although dinner is better ). The road to the hotel is also very narrow with sharp turns and so it’s advised not to arrive there at night by car. Check out is a little too early (11am) and the restaurant stops serving hot food after 9pm which is again too early .

Good hotel just needs updating

The hotel is easy to find, it’s up a long twisty narrow road but if you follow the signs or use sat nav you shouldn’t have any problems. The car park is ample size so I shouldn’t imagine you would ever struggle to park.
Check in was straight forward enough and the staff were friendly and welcoming. The Geneva decor of the hotel could do with a update, it’s clean just looks a little dated. The room is fine and good sized and we had a nice view from our balcony.
The best feature of the hotel for us was the pool and jacuzzi. The jacuzzi was amazing and so relaxing. The restaurant was good and reasonably priced given the isolated location.
I would recommend this hotel for a relaxing getaway.

A thrilling experience

It is worth programming a stay at this hotel if for no other reason than just the view!

It sits on the tippy top of the mountain and overlooks the towns below. Driving up to the hotel is an exciting experience on an extremely narrow road. If you meet another vehicle one of you will need to back up for the other to pass. Insure you follow the directions to get there provided by the hotel. GPS is almost essential.

You are so glad you got there you wouldn't think of eating anyplace other than the hotel. I do not know if there is another place. The dining room is a bit pricey for dinner, but not by over a few dollars. Great breakfast.

Rooms are fine . Bathroom small. Hotel supprisingly large! Staff great. Has spa facilities.

If the drive doesn't scare you then book this hotel. FYI we were driving a large station wagon are are senior seniors.

It's All About Views and Hiking

Off the beaten path and up a winding road, this hotel won't suit people who want to be close to an active town. However, for peace, quiet, magnificent views and wonderful hiking trails, it's perfect. It also has a terrific breakfast with a view of Lake Lugano which is hard to best. Service from the staff was uneven (they forgot to clean our room, for example), but everyone was very pleasant.

View didn't justify that far being out of the way with no appropriate signage at the entrance!!!? Once you there you best to enjoy it because even if you have a car, not much is to do in town unless you want to drive an hour to the next major city to see or do something.

Expensive Hotel with little in its favour

Didn't do enough research about the hotel & was disappointed. Windy road leading up to Hotel a nightmare especially when meeting oncoming coaches. Booked a twin room but upon check-in were allocated a disabled room with single bed & cot (together with all the necessary disability equipment) & was set up for one guest only (one water and one set of towels etc). Refusing to accept this room we had to argue with receptionist & Manager to obtain a different room, and being charged a supplement. Website pictures misleading & views across the lake cannot be seen from the restaurant. An outside patio area from which lake views could be seen was for an unknown reason partitioned off from guests. Walked quite a way uphill from the Hotel & came across a cable car/cafe & from here sat, drank & viewed the beautiful lake. Dinner in the Hotel restaurant \"annex area\" which resembled a school dining room, too well lit, sparse, uncomfortable seats & where waiters seemed not to want to serve). We, & other diners, found food/drinks expensive & disappointing. A water leak in reception ceiling not fixed during our 48hr stay. Having stayed in many hotels in many countries unfortunately this is the first time I would not recommend a hotel. Improvements needed in the Hotel & staff need retraining.

Fantastic experience - Loved Roberto and the whole team - They are truly incredible and friendly ! very rare breed !!!! Roberto loves comedy and loves LA and maybe we got a VIP like treatment !!! MAde us feel like stars !!! but we found out during dining he was super friendly to all guests !

Great hotel for everyone

- Beautiful surrounding, fantastic views over the Lake Lugano and the Alpes.
- Quiet location far away from the main roads
- Very friendly staff speaking 4+ languages.
- Spa with swimming pool.
- good breakfast, nice selection of wines (including local), gourmet food at reasonable (Swiss standard) prices.

All you need for short break or holiday.

Sehr freundlicher Empfang an der Rezeption. Tolles Team beim Abendessen. Wir hatten sehr viel Spaß mit dem aufmerksamen Personal. Das Team beim Frühstück bedarf Nachschulungen hinsichtlich Tische abräumen, Getränke und Essen Auffüllung sowie Freundlichkeit. Der Ausblick vom Hotel ist grandios, wenn nicht sogar einmalig.

Hotel super calme avec jolie spa .accueil sympathique. Par contre si la carte du restaurant était super bonne. Les serveurs était totalement inqualifier et devraient etre formé. Genre pas capable de nous réserver la table demander. Commande une bouteille de vin 🍷la pose sur la table sans dégustation .ne rapporte pas de pain .pour le petit-déjeuner c est les clients qui doivent.x aller mettre leur table eux même..chercher serviette et couverts. Pendant que les serveurs tournent sans savoi quoi faire. Parle anglais mais ne se donne mais pas la peine de parler en italien .service a revoir car déplorable. Vue le prix .je pense que le service doit êtres top.mieux servie au restaurant du téléphérique à 1kl a pieds

Das Hotel liegt sehr abgelegen, dadurch hat man auch fast keine andere Wahl als im Hoteleigenen Restaurant zu essen. Die Aussicht ist wirklich schön und der Grund warum wir hier übernachtet haben. Das Abendessen war okay.. man konnte zwischen ca. 5 Speisen auswählen, vergleichbar mit teurem Mensaessen. Das Hotel an sich ist in die Jahre gekommen, in den 70ern gebaut und nichts gross verändert. Die Zimmer sind okay, die Aussicht wieder grandios. Der Indoor Pool war leider bereits geschlossen als wir ihn anschauen wollten. Das Frühstück war inbegriffen und in Ordnung, keine grosse Auswahl aber was da war war gut. Das Personal war freundlich. Mit dieser Aussicht könnte man viel mehr machen..

Vraiment magnifique vue

Bel établissement offrant de nombreuses prestations, niché dans un hameau (le hameau, c'est l'hôtel en fait) bénéficiant d'une vue magnifique sur le lac sinueux et serein de Lugano. Indépendamment de la note de l'établissement auquel je mettrai un 8, cette vue dégagée en hauteur au milieu de la forêt vaut le 10.

Die Aussicht ist Unbezahlbar. Die Aussieht und das schöne Wetter kostet das Hotel nichts. Unser Superior Zimmer könnte eine neue Farbe gut tun. Auch die Frottee Tücher sind alt, ja uralt. Einen Ventilator gilt als Klimaanlage. Die Liegestühle draussen müssen unbedingt ersetzt werden. Den jedes zweite Liegebett ist kaputt. Das Restaurant ist aber sehr zu empfehlen.

Wer nach Ruhe sucht, ist im Serpiano genau richtig

Zwar etwas „abgelegen“ mitten in einem wunderschönen Wald gelegen (Auto dringend empfohlen), dafür mit schönster Aussicht auf den See und eine gut erhaltene Unterkunft.

L’hotel è immerso in un bosco e ha una splendida vista sul lago di Lugano. A 1 km di distanza c’è una funivia, chiusa lunedì e martedì, che consente di muoversi senza utilizzare l’auto. Abbiamo cenato nel ristorante dell’hotel e ci è sembrato un po’ caro.

Péssimo custo x benefício

Alta expectativa com o hotel, porém, muito decepcionado com o mesmo. Principal motivo, falta de ar condicionado e ventilador no quarto e pouquíssima privacidade pelo fato da porta da varanda ter que ficar aberta devido ao calor. Com certeza não ficaria novamente nesse hotel em uma nova visita nessa localidade. Apenas o café da manhã e a paisagem do local do mesmo deram alguma alegria de estar nesse hotel.

Właśnie wróciliśmy z weekendowego wyjazdu do Serpiano. Widoki są poprostu rewelacyjne. Hotel nie pierwszej młodości ale bardzo czysty i schludny. Obsługa bardzo miła i pomocna. Jedzenie w restauracji bardzo dobre.
Strefa spa troszkę mała ale da się popływać i posiedzieć w jacuzzi. Jest również sauna fińska i parowa.
Okolica bardzo cicha i spokojna.

Das Hotel ist etwas in die Jahre gekommen , das Zimmer ist i.o , hat alles was man zum Leben braucht , könnte etwas sauberer sein .
Der Wellnesbereich ist den Umständen sehr gepflegt .
Der Frühstückbetrieb könnte besser sein und für meinen Geschmack etwas länger offen sein .
Die Aussicht ist der Hammer und das Personal gibt sich mühe .
Um Zeit zu zweit zu verbringen um die Ruhe zu geniessen ist es tip top .... hat auch gute Ausflugsziel in der Nähe .

Ruhiger Ort mit guter Aussicht

Bin zum 2.te Mal schon dort für 1 Nacht gewesen. Letzte Übernachtung vor ungefähr 4 Jahren. Es hat sich nicht viel verändert. Anfahrtsweg zum Hotel ein wenig mühsam Vorallem das letzte Teilstück. Es gibt keine Tagesmenü sondern nur a la Carte. Man isst immer das gleiche Essen wenn man dort länger übernachtet. Sonst soweit alles für mich in Ordnung. Würde wieder einmal dort übernachten.

Nice Hotel with a beautiful view

The Hotel is very nice and has a bautiful view. it is though not located in the centre of anything. You can reach it with the car and i think there is also a bus, which doesnt drive very often.
We searched for a hotel with a swimming pool and were a little bit surprised, that the pool was inside... but as we swam in there it was okay, because there were deckchairs outside nearby. Ist a very quiet and peaceful Hotel. Breakfast was good, there was bread, meat, cheese, fruits and cereals.
Maybe one Thing not so good was that there was no air con in the room.

Zufahrt durch den Wald

Anreise durch eine schmale Straße, auf der man ausweichen muss um zu kreuzen. Nicht geeignet für tiefgelegte Fahrzeuge.
Ruhig gelegenes Hotel mit sehr schöner Aussicht.
Keine Klimaanlage oder Lüftung im Zimmer.
Sehr sauber und freundliches Personal.
Preis Leistungsverhältnis ist etwas hoch.

ottimo per relax nella SpA ed escursioni

abbiamo soggiornato tre notti e l'hotel è grande con diverse tipologie di camere. il punto forte è la posizione ottima per escursioni e gite varie, oltre al fatto che al ritorno si può godere di una SpA con ampia piscina e poco frequentata la sera. scendendo si possono raggiungere i deliziosi paesini sul lago oltre che Lugano e campione d'Italia. la camera era ampia con balcone, la pulizia era ottima. la colazione abbondante e internazionale può essere degustata sulla terrazza panoramica veramente suggestiva. lo consiglio.

Das Hotel liegt oben auf dem Berg. Beeidruckt hat uns die Ruhe und die hervorragende Aussicht über den See und einigen am See gelegende Ortschaften. Der Ort Morcote sowie Logano sind auf jedn Fall ein Besuch wert. Mann fährt am Besten mit der Seilbahn herunter zum Ort Brusino und von mit der Fähre.

Spektakulärer Ausblick auf Luganer See

Herrlich war das Schwimmbad, die Umgebung und vor allem die einmalige Aussicht.
Unser Essen im Hotelrestaurant zeugte nicht von viel Fantasie der Küche. Wir hatten allerdings kein Menue.Service und Rezeption waren freundlich.

Vi tog af sted en dag før, der kom desværre en bus med meget støjende mennesker, det var for meget.
Men ellers et fantastik sted, kan ikke beskrives men skal opleves, -sikke en udsigt!!
