The bathroom was quite dirty. The floors were sticky and did not feel clean. The receptionist was very nice and helpful and the location is pretty convenient to travel around Lugano.

Was an issue, but I couldn't define adequately the reason. During the booking, I don't remember to have the option to change the age of my kid. I came early and alone to do the check in and receive the key.

Overall a good stay, the location was brilliant for walking to town and getting transport. However, hidden costs involved such as cooking equipment and cleaning equipment. Air con was a hit or miss, overall a little pricey but generally okay.

Rarely do I give a bad review, but this Hôtel warrants one. First, Expedia states shuttle available (for a fee) and that is not the case. This is really a step up from a hostel. Bare minimum. We booked a queen bed, got a double. This hotel is for those looking for a bed to sleep and shower. The staff were great- helpful.

Basic property about a mile from the train station in Lugano with limited dining options nearby. Our room had 2 beds and a small kitchenette with almost no dishes (so if you want to actually use the kitchenette you’ll need to bring your own). The stay was comfortable for the price, but rooms are on a busy street so it gets quite loud if a window is open. I would not recommend this stay to light sleepers!

We stayed at this hotel for one night on our journey from Lake Como to Zurich. Website information is little misleading that this location is walkable to Lugano train station. But its 1.5 km from station, but there is bus stop opposite to the hotel. This looked like apartment coverted to hotel. very basic ameneties. Hotel staff was good and provided details for late check in, but did not give correct details about bus in the morning to go to train station. One couple helped us in the morning with bus details and we were able to reach station on time to catch 6:35 am train. It is very hard to find cab in this area. Bus is preferable, so please make sure you have enough details about bus schedules. I would not recommend this hotel until you have very short stay to catch an early train.

Staff were very friendly and helpful but that’s the only nice thing to say. Parking was very far from the hotel and not easy to find. A long walk after a long day. The AC in the room did not work well so the room was very warm. The shower head fell down multiply when using it and the shower leaked onto the bathroom floor. Several lights in the room did not work and only 1 outlet was working to plug anything into.

We stayed in Lugano for a wekeend and found the Guest House on hotels.com. Although the hotel cliamed to have free parking, we were then informed that free parking is blue zone opposite the accommodation and parking on premises is at extra cost.

The room itself included a very tiny bed which was rather uncomfortable, a kitchen with no equipment but a kettle including stains and two paper cups. The room was decently clean but the towels still included the last tenants make-up stains so was unfortunately very unpleasant.
Overall it is a good alternative for a quick stay in Lugano. However, for that price it might make sense to add a little budget and actually take an actual hotel room.

Little more than a hostel - do not use the laundry as our clothes were in the drier for 3 hours and still not dry - husbands had to wear wet jeans. Service rubbish, accommodation cheap but not a cheap price. Icing on the cake this morning the lift is out of action. I would not recommend staying here

Suddenly extra charges appear for cuttlery and kitchen utensils... becuase they have to disinfect the utensils, menawhile they still were dirty and i had to buy cleaning utensils anddo it by myself. Very dirty room without tv and a horrible bed! The balcony is used by all people on the same floor and the windows are defective. The ac is blowing hot air....

What I like most is the Lufano lake which is just within few minutes walk. The hotel also give free ticket for transport but I had not used it. Mybe in my next visit

Parking could be a bit difficult, as there are no private parking areas for you, but all of the parking available is within a close walk (~5mins) to the Lugano Guest House.

One night in Lugano
We didn't realize the train station and Lugano were on such a side hill environment. Although the station is relatively close to the hotel the elevation change made walking impractical. The hotel breakfast was an extra charge 17 franc voucher to go to the corner gas station where they put together a limited breakfast and this took more time than we anticipated. We were a little rushed to get on the bus and make our train departure schedule. The room had a note that if the kitchen facilities were used there would be a 25 franc charge for housekeeping to clean up. we felt the hotel was a bait and switch operation.

There was no free parking - the only parking on offer is street parking, which is only free from 7pm-7am. I spent 30+ minutes looking for a park on the streets surrounding the hotel however there were none. I ended up paying for parking in a nearby garage.
The room itself felt cheap, it was very bare and poorly lit – there was only one small lamp for the whole bedroom and one light in the bathroom, no ceiling lights, no light in the kitchen.
The pots and pans in the kitchen were very cheap – the coating was coming off the inside of them so I didn’t use them.
The air conditioning wasn’t activated at this time of year (May), so the room was very warm.
The hotel is located close to the San Salvatore funicular but that’s about it – it was a long walk to the city center (although it’s pretty if you walk by the lake).
Overall I was disappointed with my stay.

I can't say enough good things about the Lugano Center Guest House. The staff we so kind and helpful and let us check in early to our room after an early morning departure from Zurich. The room was plenty big enough for the two of us, with a compact kitchen and decent sized bathroom. Everything was new and worked well.
