After coming to Lugano many times a year for more than 15 years, I discovered what is the best place to stay.

Where do I start? The Havana Deck Cigar4 Lounge overlooking the Lake or the Japanese Restaurant? The room was spotless with Personal AC, Japanese bidet in the toilet, out-of-this-world water pressure, breathtaking views, your own balcony with lounge chairs overlooking the lake, super comfy mattress and pillows. and last but not least the hotel cat Aki, which means Autumn in Japanese!

Luxury! The suite was beautiful and comfortable. Our patio had a gorgeous view of the lake and city. I would have loved to stay longer. Aside from being fairly near the train station and the Italian restaurant across the way, there isn't much nearby. We did hike the trail behind the hotel to the top of the mountain, and that was lovely. The receptionist was very helpful in coordinating and explaining our transit options to Lake Como.

Very nice hotel. The view from our room was incredible and the room was very large and nice. Essentially an apartment. The hotel has a couple of restaurants we did not make it to and a cool bar with a great view. There is a train station pretty close by, but you do need to go up and down a big hill to get to anything if walking.

Beautiful location on the hillside overlooking Lugano lake. Suite was lovely and had a pull down bed in living area, not a sofa bed as described, which was a bonus. Meals and drinks in the hotel were expensive but there are other options in the nearby town. Didn't want to leave!

Lugano is a beautiful place and this hotel was in a gorgeous location perched on a hill. The staff were helpful with directions to and from sights. The room itself was nice and spacious and felt clean. It was not cheap but the again most things in Switzerland are not cheap. The only disappointment was the toilet seat in the bathroom was an improper fit- it was too small for the bowl and was not stable. The pool was nice but small- would’ve been nicer if it was outdoors in the glass sliding doors were kept open during the day as the weather was so beautiful. Our stay in Lugano was pleasant and we had a lovely time there.

We had the penthouse suite and it was amazing. The view is incredible and the suite is large with a big balcony accessible from both the master bedroom and the sitting room. The second bedroom was on the smaller side. The only odd thing was only a standing shower in the master but a great larger bathroom for the second bedroom.

The place is well maintained and clean (other than the balcony which was a bit rough but the view made up for it).

Breakfast was good and again the view from the restaurant was great.

Parking is on site both outside and in a garage for a nominal fee.

Paradiso train station is a 5 min walk (but up and down quite a few stairs). Most places were an easy walk so the location is great. Just keep in mind it is hilly so short walks can be tiring.

Front desk was very helpful and helped plan things to do around the area.

My Family and I came to stay in July. The hotel was very clean, and safe. Staff were very friendly and very helpful. Came with two small children, so the indoor pool was attractive for them, however, exciting is an outdoor pool. Will utilize their spa and gym facilities, which were also good. Downside to the gym, is that there is no central air, therefore can get very stuffy running on the treadmill. No water is provided at the gym.

We were visiting places that Avatar Meher Baba visited inn Switzerland. Suitenhotel Parco Paradiso hotel is very reasonable and clean, with extremely efficient staff. We were very impressed by their staff's ability to communicate. I didn't need to use my Creole of French and Spanglish.
What really impressed us was the hotel's arrangement with Swiss trains. Staff gave us tickets with QR codes such that we rode free anywhere in the Kanton. Laundry service was also efficient. And the train station us a five-minute walk!

Good room, but does not equal the price.

I’ve stayed at many high end hotels and this is NOT one. It is good and no complaints, per se, but it is priced at a 4 or 5 star hotel and it is neither. On top of the already high price for the penthouse suite, when we arrived, they charged $95 USD each for my two children, despite me including them on the initial reservation with hotels.com. I’ve stayed at The View in Lugano for the same price and it is much, much better. Go there.

It’s not in the city but transit for bus and trains are very close. Highly suggest a taxi or hotel shuttle if coming in on the train, very uphill. Property is very well kept, beautiful landscape, staff is helpful and nice. Bed was comfortable and large room if you get the suite.

Hotel was great. We went to the restaurant on property and had their Japanese themed dinner. They brought the bill out for 6 adults and 4 children for $1800. The other parties in our group paid the bill. When I reviewed the bill the next day I noticed about $400 worth of items that were neither ordered or delivered to the table. When I called the hotel they said they checked with the waiter and the chargers were accurate. Beautiful view from the hotel but I would never stay there again.

The hotel is very chopped up. No map or explanation is given about the hotel. I did not see a outdoor area or outdoor pool, no place to get sun. Views are obscured by the rooflines and off to the side unless on a top floor. First room was dark & dungeon like on the entry level floor. I am a Hotels.com Gold member. The gym is TERRIBLE! Appalling gym this day & age. No foam rollers, no Bosu, no TRX, no incremental light weights for women etc. Restaurant is nice but twice in three nights I had an upset stomach and I never get upset stomach. I believe the ingredients are low quality...Other than that the rooms were fine & clean. Staff was friendly... Elevator under repair at check-out time.

Excellent hotel, very well located in the upper part of Paradiso, a few minutes walk from the lake. Great view (the lake view room is more expensive, but worth it!). We had full board due to the pandemic, but the restaurant is good. Our room was large and well appointed with a balcony. Don't miss the bar with its incredible view over the bay of Lugano, plus the staff is really nice, without fuss. We will definitely return.

As soon as we walked into our room, our jaws dropped. The views from the room were absolutely amazing. As if the views were not enough, the hotel room was spacious, the bad was very comfortable (we slept within 10 minutes of getting into bed), and the bathroom was very clean. The hotel has an indoor swimming pool in a beautiful space with a view of the lake. Breakfast was good too.

The only very minor thing we disliked was walking down to the bus station and then walking back up. The walk is a little intense if you are carrying luggage or a heavy backpack (I had my photo and video gear in the backpack).

The hotel is located within walking distance of some tourist points and within minutes if you take the bus to the rest of the city.

I strongly recommend this hotel. For the price, it's probably one of the best deals you can find.

Location was deceiving as it was well out of the way. Although close to the train station, accessing the property was very difficult on foot and with luggage. Unbeknownst to us, there was a rear entrance that was not mentioned but that is also a rather steep flight of stairs. Once taking this path, you feel as though you are walking through a basement. There’s no sign to access the rear entrance and that it leads to the train. This portion also seems completely unused as you can see there’s a racquetball court that’s abandoned. The hotel itself seems like they’re cutting corners on updating and renovating. For example, the room has a kitchen which is blocked by wood panel nailed to the wall, the bathroom has a shower head that is below an average person’s height, the WiFi was intermittent at best. All of this would be understandable if the hotel wasn’t rated as a 4 star renovated property in a great location. All in all, it was overpriced. If we had known, we would have stayed in Lugano.

Great hotel but consider Lugano instead

The hotel is quite clean and service is great (once you’re inside) however the local area is very quiet and feels quite dangerous to be out at night. We arrived from north Switzerland with two big bags of luggage on the train and called the hotel for a shuttle bus or assistance and they told us there was a back entrance which was a shortcut to the hotel from the station. Little did we know that there was about 50 stairs to climb to get to the hotel. If you go around the front it is also up hill but no stairs - just be prepared if you have luggage.

The view from our room was amazing. The bar in the hotel was very disappointing; trying too hard to be a 5 star! The restaurant is very expensive, and the food does not meet the price. My husband was asked to change from dressing sandals to shoes at 4 pm at the Havanna Deck , were young clients were wearing dirty shoes and baseball caps ; not to mention a several female clients with open style sandals /shoes as well ..... Very disappointing after paying so much money for it. Switzerland is a beautiful country, but with the money used there ; we could've had a real 5 start treatment anywhere else in the area! (Switzerland was our 3rd destination on our 5 countries journey).

The hotel was amazing. Felt more like a 5 star property with great reception area and decor throughout the hotel. The breakfast was excellent with an outside terrace and good buffet. Rooms were very spacious and over looking the lake. Great bar at the hotel as well. What i didnt like was location (far from town center). Another issue is that its very difficult to walk to the main street from the hotel as you have to leave the back entrance and walk down a lot of steps to either catch the bus or train. We ended up taking taxis which turned out to be expensive.

We arrived at the hotel at a relatively early hour, checked in and left our luggage in the hotel.
After a day of sightseeing in the area we returned to the hotel.
The receptionist took us to the room and only after they entered the room did she say,
\"We gave you an upgrade.\"
We are left speachless, a stunning suite, 2 rooms, 2 bathrooms, living room and a huge balcony with sunbeds overlooking the wonderful view of Lake Lugano.
Comfortable beds, perfect cleanliness, excellent breakfast, very varied, on a terrace that also overlooks the wonderful view.

Everything about the hotel was simply amazing... whatever it is you can think if they did it great! The staff was very hospitable, welcoming and knowledgeable. They provided us great tips about what to do in Lugano and neighboring Italian cities as well. The room was very clean and had a great clean bathroom. The location was also very nice and neat from downtown Lugano.

Lovely hotel with great views of Lugano. We chose this hotel in part because they supposedly offered train station pick up. When we called from the station, we were told no staff were available and to take a taxi because it would be too difficult to walk uphill with our luggage. We assumed the hotel would reimburse us for the taxi (18CHF for a one minute ride!!!!), but, that was not the case. So, beware!!! Call we’ll in advance if you expect to be picked up!

Hotel was great. We checked in and was upgraded to a suite with beautiful views (with a large balcony) of Lake Lugano. The suite didn't have a kitchen/kitchenette but the breakfast area was filled with variety of things to eat/drink (service sometimes was a bit slow to get cappuccino so be prepared).
Our suite was one of two on the floor so it was super quiet. Amenities were good; wish there was a kettle to make some tea and/or nespresso machine for coffee though. Bed was SUPER comfy. Living room was spacious (maybe can use bigger sofas??). Bathroom was clean. Wifi was spotty in the suite. Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. One thing bummed me out was that the bar was also a smoking lounge. I wanted to hang out for some tea and snacks and enjoy the lovely view but couldn't because I'm pregnant and the smoke. But if you're a smoker or can take the smokey room, lucky you. Location of the hotel was up on a hill, but you can walk through the hotel and in the back of the hotel, down the stairs (lots of steps) is a bus stop. Or you can walk a few minutes down to the lake. We didn't eat at the restaurants in the hotel, but every night we were there, they were full of people; reservations were suggested.

The WiFi was very slow, and the suite that I booked was musty smell and very outdated. The restaurant was dirty
and the carpet in reception very threadbare. Very poor breakfast with no selection. The property was is in need of a renovation.
Staff are very rude and slow, the charged me CHF 20 per night for my daughter - 4 years, however, the suite was suitable for 4 adults with 2 extra existing beds.
Overall, cleanliness, facilities and staff all way below the average.

Lovely long weekend stay!!

Lovely hotel on top of the hill (be prepared to walk up and down a bit). We stayed there for a long birthday weekend. Got upgraded to a room with a balcony overlooking the lake which was absolutely amazing!! We used the hotels pool, small gym (won’t be suitable for more than 2 people at a time), solarium - all was good. The real highlight for us was it’s Havana deck bar, they’ve got an impressive collection of cigars!! Great service as well.

A very pleasant stay

The hotel was very nice. recently refurbished.We had a room overlooking the city and the lake. The only thing, which was not the fault of the hotel, was that guests go onto balconies to smoke which drifts into the rooms.
However, the hotel had 2 nice restaurants serving Japanese and Mediterranean food.
Wifi needs to be upgraded as it was very erratic.
