Es un hotel unico, una pieza de historia. Y hay Que apreciarlo. Está a unos pasos de los hotsprings de Glenwood, y del puente peatonal para salir a cenar y conocer restaurantes. También está muy cerca la estación del tren por donde pasa el famoso tren Amtrak California Zephyr, que viene desde California, y creo llega hasta Chicago!! Espectacular si quieres seguir la aventura en tren. La ubicacion del hotel y su historia son lo mas valioso. No es un hotel moderno. Solo tienen AC en las ventanas. Y un ventilator en el techo. Mi habitación no tenía frigobar, pienso que se necesita para preservar bebidas, medicamentos y algunos alimentos. ESO seria lo que agregaria. Pero en general, excelente hotel. Traje un TEDDY BEAR de recuerdo. Y la cafeteria prepara muy buenos cafes! Ah también el breakfast estuvo delicioso en el restaurant. Me regalaron una mimosa por mi cumpleaños. Manny es un excelente mesero. El bar Cierra a las 10. Espero volver pronto definitivamente.

The room was vintage WW II except I had a window A/C which blocked any possible view of the outside. We were assigned to a closet. The sink was tiny and at a slant. Anything you put on it slide into the sink. There was nothing near the sent to put toiletries or towels. No hooks. I have never seen a toilet so small. It was 12” off the floor. I stayed in a WW II wooden barracks and I believe the floor tile in the barracks bath was the same tile. In 3 days we never had maid service. Usually there is a method to let the maid know you wanted your room cleaned. Not here. The maid came on her schedule and if you were not ready when she was ready, no service. Every wire and plumbing conduit was entirely exposed. The room was a maze of electrical conduit and plumbing pipes. Then we needed a drink. I reserved a table but first had a drink at the bar. My martini was served in a small water glass and It tasted weird. There was nothing near conversation with the bartender other than her asking, what do you want? We went for our table reservation and the waitress said although she took the reservation it was not a real reservation but it was in her mind. We would get a table when one is available. . We left and ate elsewhere. The next day we tried breakfasts. If I tried I could not have made a worse breakfast. It had no flavor, it was overcooked except the biscuits. They were not cooked and doughy.. This hotel has possibilities if it had a total makeover. Stay elsewhere. Even in a tent

They upgraded our room when we checked in which was nice. We were out of body wash in the shower and the bathroom walls were gross. Aside from that everything else was nice. Made no point to call someone up to our room to refill the body wash as we only stayed one night. We would stay again... Keep in mind the bar closes at 10pm and breakfast is don't at 11am

It's a cool place to stay, definitely can feel the history. King room was great, love the massive hallways. Two specific issues:

The bar outside looked amazing but the staff was rude, especially Kipp. Dismissive and condescending.

We stayed for 3 nights and one day there was a wedding and the bar area was off-limits, not that big a deal. For two days there was some kind of trade show in the lobby and literally the entire lobby was filled with tables and people, you couldn't sit or find a spot to take a pic. Clearly the hotel prioritizes group events over individual guest comfort. I wouldn't stay there again.

I would give the Hotel excellent ratings on maintaining a historical landmark, cleanliness of the rooms and hotel staff. The hotel was also within walking distance of historical downtown and hot springs. Parking cost $15/night, but there were a few free parking spots on the street. We felt the cost of the room was somewhat high given the lack of amenities at the hotel itself. You pay more for the location and historical aspect of the hotel. Being a old building there were restrictions on what electical devices you could use while running the air conditioner, and there was no mini-fridge nor microwave available. The bathroom and shower were very small. Perhaps the amenities we missed the most were the lack of a pool and/or a hot tub at the hotel even though the Glenwood Hotsprings was just across the street. It cost over $100 per couple to enter the hotsprings but the hotel did not offer any discount toward entry to the hotsprings across the street. Howevehey do offer a 10 percent discount to use the hotspring at Iron Mountain. Our guess is that the hotel wants you to buy an add-on package through them to use the hotsprings across the street, but unless you want to stay at the hotsprings all day it is still costly for a partial day. Food and service at the hotel was very good, but we were staying at the hotel for our 20th anniversay and mentioned it 3 times to different wait staff and all they did was say congratulations. Most places for such events usually offered something.

Historical property with grand staircase, wide hallways decorated with antique furniture and historic photos. Check in was easy and staff members were exceptional. Rooms were clean and comfortable. We were upgraded to a penthouse suite which had a large sitting room which was perfect for our party of 12 to enjoy a game night. We ate at Baron's in the hotel and found the food to be good, with large portions and attentive waiters. Loved the grand feel of the hotel.
We came by train and found everything within walking distance.
Our group had a wonderful experience and would highly recommend the Hotel Colorado!

Amazing historic hotel. We had the pleasure of staying in the Devereux Suite which was very spacious and comfortable for our family. Loved the accomodations, Teddy Roosevelt tributes and the grounds. Short walk to the hot springs pool and dowtown. Fantastic family getaway weekend.

The Hot Springs resort next door, while not included with your stay is walking distance and we enjoyed it! Amy at the front desk was super helpful! We hope to visit again when we return to Colorado.

I decided to extend a night, and the cost at the hotel I was staying at was excessive, so I checked for an alternative. This historic hotel had a very reasonable price for a Saturday night. It is very old and retrofitted, but they did a nice job and the rooms have everything you need. the on-site bar and restaurant was also very nice. It is convenient to a lot of shopping and restaurants.

Nice standard king room, in very nice condition, clean and well appointed. Old hotel upgraded for all required amenities, very enjoyable. Outdoor lunch and dinner dining during the summer, nice variety of medium to higher priced options, all our choices were well prepared and served. Recommend the locally sourced lamb chops and wild game sliders. Bar service was excellent. Breakfast available in the dining room, or simpler quick options in the coffee/gift shop. Full room service menu. We enjoyed the walking distance around the corner to the Hot Springs Pool and the nicely maintained hotel courtyard with comfortable outdoor seating options. Recommend you try this venerable old hotel.

I loved staying here. I was on a long road trip, and this hotel was an amazing reprieve. If I could have stayed longer, I would have. The room was as pictured, it was clean, and the view of the courtyard was great. Being able to quickly walk to shops, restaurants, and the hot springs was a huge bonus. Big points to for the history of this hotel. I hope to return one day!

The property was fantastic. We were all pleasantly surprised by the rooms and balconies. I had seen several mixed reviews before booking, but honestly we really enjoyed the spacious layout and overall atmosphere. The bathrooms are a little small, but the hotel more than makes up for it with its rich history, charm, and outstanding central location. The staff was so friendly. I would definitely recommend.

When we arrived, we noticed a light out in the bathroom. It literally took maintenance 5 minutes to bring a new bulb. The room is very spacious and clean. My only complaint is the lack of shelving in the bathroom. It's certainly not ideal to put a curling iron on a narrow sink ledge. I was told by staff that they are working on that upgrade now.

We ordered room service on one occasion and enjoyed every scrumptious bite. My husband had a breakfast burrito, and I had the Denver omelette! 10/10!

The drinks at the bar in the courtyard were delightful, and the live music was a nice touch. All the bartenders were attentive, upbeat, and friendly. All around, this is a fantastic place

The hotel was overbooked. The manager said they would refund part of the room cost since I didn’t get the room I paid for and never did. There was a private event scheduled on Friday night that took over the entire lobby and courtyard with drunk people and my 17 year old and I were unable to enjoy the historic atmosphere. I tried speaking to the front desk the next morning and they had no interest in our poor visit. It’s was an incredibly expensive stay for little benefit other than sleeping.

Loved the old feel of this hotel!! Quiet, clean, historic! So close to everything glenwood springs has to offer. Pool across street is not included but is a must to go to. Plan on a full day of pool activities in each of the pools. Hot springs mineral waters with cold plunges. This hotel has a beautiful courtyard with seating, bar, fireplaces and intermittently has music performances. Wonderful place and beautiful town!

We have stayed here a few times over the years and always enjoyed it. Very convenient to the hot springs pool. We've always been here in the winter and this time it was summer. The grounds were very pretty. We also ate there for dinner and again for breakfast. Both meals were good. There have been nice upgrades to the rooms and it seems to be getting nicer each time we come.

Couple of quick complaints, first. Hotels should provide parking for the people staying there. Period. If you insist on charging, then be upfront about it and simply include it in the nightly rate. None of this, \"Do you want to park in the hotel parking lots?\" And then tell me how much more that will be. My snide answer is, \"No... I only wish to sleep here. We'll park 5 miles down the road somewhere...\" Please! Also, not a complaint, but just so people know, this hotel isn't not the easiest to navigate for people with mobility issues. Having gotten that out of the way, the hotel is beautiful, rooms are clean, and the beds are comfortable. It is rare that I consider the hotel I am staying at a destination in and of itself. First of all, the food here is spectacular. You taste every dollar you pay for the meal. There is indoor dining and outdoor dining in the courtyard, with plenty of shade and live music. The service was very friendly. The lobby is huge with very plush chairs and couches and tables. There is a fountain outside, it is pet friendly, and there are plenty of chairs with a nice view of the mountains.

I am glad I chose this hotel because it was much quieter and away from the highway compared to most other options. Plus the historical feel and all the trees added to the ambiance. The staff were super helpful and accommodating by helping me print a resume and with check in. The room was very spacious and nicely decorated.

This is a Grand Old Dame, and, as such, expect the quirks of a century plus old hotel. The location is fabulous and we walked to the main street where there are lots of dining options and where a person could dip in the hot springs. We ate at the hotel and dinner was nice, especially the scenery. The main courtyard was pleasant and service was great. Our only complaint was the window unit in our room, which loudly and constantly cycled on and off. We were expecting that kind of deal when we booked this lovely old hotel, so were not super disappointed. Overall a fun stay!

When we travel we always look for the old hotels of the past, the Hotel Colorado met our expectation and matched other old venues like the Grand Hotel on Mackinaw Island, Michigan. I have 2 complaints and to some they may not mean a thing. First the indoor dinning area was closed for the evening and dinner was served outside, It was very chilly that evening and there was no other choice other than leave the property and have dinner in town. Secondly we had to pay to park on the Hotels Property. We found this at all the other hotels we stayed at in both Colorado and Utah during our trip. I felt like i was being ripped off having to pay to park when I was already paying to stay.

First of all, our room was not ready and the Amy gave us an upgrade. Which was the best thing in my life, and my husband. Because of him I’d that we came here. He grew up here and always wanted to stay in The Rosevelt Suite. And we got it. Plus I always wanted to stay in a room a president stayed. Not only one president but 2. The hotel had a lot of history, there were lots of cool things to see and news stories to read. I liked that it was dog friendly as we were traveling with our own dog. It was clean and the staff was friendly. The only issue we had was that we came in late from traveling and were only staying the night, we wanted to use the hot springs but was told we had to pay for a full day even though we could only enjoy it for about an hour. For all four of us the price wasn’t worth it. I would recommend that change by upper management.
