We enjoyed our stay in this beautiful situated hotel. The rooms and the facilities are very nice and the view is absolutely stunning.
The food (breakfast and the restaurant) were also very good (excellent wines).
We would have appreciated a more flexible staff at the restaurant. We experienced it as too rigid.

For the price this is definitely not about customer experience. The location is great! The drive up is a bit stressful due to locals rushing up and down. And food options are little to none around the hotel. Also, staff is not very well trained to a high class service. Internet is also not the greatest. After all is an ok hotel as long as you don’t have a lot of expectations.

Amazing property in a beautiful location, the views are truly breathtaking. it’s a shame the staff weren't as pleasant. Especially the waiters in the restaurant area. Some of them were very strange in the faces they would pull, maybe smiling is not a thing there or perhaps they’re just so arrogant. They need to remember they just work in the hotel, they don't own it.

I received the best massage I've ever experienced, here. The pools and spa are excellent, would love to come back to return for a relaxing getaway.

Transportation to any of the other restaurants, or into the city, is definitely challenging due to how high up on a mountain it's located.

On our honeymoon. The property's was amazing. The rooms were poor. Had an upgraded room with a broken shower curtain and tub. No English TV channels. Laundry is about $150 a load. Some food on the menu was unavailable and the chicken in the salad came from a can. Not a \"grilled chicken breast\" as they advertised. Transportation up and down the mountain was great. Most staff were very nice some not so much. Pool facilities were great. The best thing is the view. Still not 4 star hotel though.

Overall we had a good experience. Spa was crowded, too many people and reduced space. The outdoor pool had stones in the ground, not a pleasant experience in your feet. The smell of the water was to strong. No appointments available for treatments. The room had breathtaking views, nice sun chairs. Very clean and renovated bathroom, confortable bed. Unfortunately we had a problem with one of the outlets, light was off every time the TV or a phone charger was plugged, we had to unplug the TV and not charging our phones because the solution that they proposed was moving us to a lower bedroom. I was disappointed that they did not offer nothing complimentary for the inconvenience, not even covering for the cost of the room service (10 CHF). The breakfast was not home made, just pre fabricated stuff and low quality for what Switzerland can offer. The parking was full, it was hard to find a nice spot. The restaurant looks dated, but maybe they offer good food, we didn’t try it because we did not go with the vibes of the place. Below our room, we had a room with a jacuzzi, a loud naked couple made our night quite interesting. Thanks to the staff for coming 3 times to our room to put up the lights, they were very helpful.

The staff was accommodating. My husband and I could relax in the pool area. After the pool, we were pleased to have a delicious meal at their restaurant. Unfortunately, we didn't have enough time to enjoy a massage that would be the cherry on the top.

Our stay was really peaceful and overall great. The views are amazing. The spa area smells like chlorine tho, especially in hammam area. Also tiles in different spa areas are missing. The staff is nice and attentive. It’s high up on the mountain but we risked to drive. Parking is easy. Bus stops right in front of the hotel, so it’s easily accessible if you decide not to rent a car. Dinner is expensive for the portion. Enjoy your stay as we did.

This is a beautiful, super clean and well-maintained hotel. Has everything one needs. The views from the balcony were spectacular. One could stay there without wanting to do anything else. My husband and I absolutely loved it. We stayed for 2 nights but want to go back for more.

Unfortunately I paid an extra €60 for a lake view and a nice queen bed being guranteed it was one mattress .
After having dinner found out it was two single beds which I find very uncomfortable.
Alsonat 5am was woken up with a fire alarm then agaim 15mins later all told it was a false alarm
Problem was the receptionist could not fix the issues of the extra I paid and nothing could be done with the manager being on site ?
Hopefully they can do the right thing as that really spoilt my one night stay

Excellent clean spa area - has wellness spa - indoor and outdoor pools for wellness with water jet high pressure nozzles for back stomach head and neck massage. There is also big I heated out door water pool with nice view.
The hotel is up in the mountain with fantastic breathtaking views of Lugano lake. Lugano city is about 40 min bus drive. The bus ride is free and the station is right in front of the hotel - every hour. There is almost nothing around the hotel. The breakfast is excellent of high quality food and service. We tried the dinner once- it was average - must book table in advance or you end up eating inside if all outside tables are booked.

We loved the spa facilities and large rooms. The food was good, the staff was accommodating-even giving us free bus passes, a welcome glass of prosecco and a discount off the treatments. The spa was beautiful. There was a grotto area with a salt water pool and a large pool with various stations both inside and outside. spacious suanas, cold pools and rain showers. We went to the store around the corner and also had a picnic on their beautiful balconies.

The only thing they were missing was coffee in the rooms.

We really enjoyed our stay. The outdoor pool was quite warm for October (the sun helped!) however we both found that the spa temperature wasn’t warm enough to stay in for as long as we had planned. We only went once as a consequence in the four days we were there. The gym was good though the high tech was too much.

I’v searched for hotel in Lugano for quite some times before we were ready to go on our trip, there are a lot of hotels in Lugano, but reading reviews from people, left me wondering!!!
We decided not to book any hotel and fined something there. As we got to Lugano I went to the first hotel that captured my attention when I was searching on Hotels.com and I am so happy that be didn’t book it, because I was so disappointed on what you can get for $500 a night. Nothing was good for what we are used to. We decided to give it another shot and I found this beautiful property , so we decided to take a drive and look at it before we booked it . This place is beautiful, the view is outstanding, service is excellent, it’s clean modern and it has an amazing spa . Breakfast was included in the price. Best property to stay in Lugano!!!!!!

The location is amazing and it is wonderful to be able to go hiking straight from the property. you definitely feel closer to nature here than down in Lugano. But the hotel feels a bit spartan and clinical. The lobby and restaurant have generic furniture and accessories that make it feel like a chain hotel. But wonderful location, views and balconies!

Luxurious week in a Mountain Hotel above Lugano

We - elderly couple - spent one week in this excellent hotel. We liked the spacious, very clean room and the luxurious spa facilities inside and outside, that can be used day and night. We enjoyed daily hikes through the forests and beautifull hillsides. The trails were perfectly marked. For trips down to Lugano and the lake we conveniently used the free busline with a stop directly in front of the hotel and connections to various small villages around Lugano. We enjoyed to dine in the excellent in-house restaurant with breakfast on the open-air balcony with a breathtaking view over the city and lake of Lugano. Very helpful and polite staff made our stay very pleasant. A quiet place for total relaxation. Not cheap, but extremely recommendable. Cordial thanks to Management and Staff.

Far away from Lugano

You have to get to the hotel by a harrowing curvy roads with cars barrelling down at a high speed. Getting to the hotel is not for the faint hearted. You are isolated in a bedroom community with really no shops or restaurants. You are about an hour away from the lake for infrastructure. The hotel does provide you with free bus tickets to get to the lake. If you are a couple expect to pay about $200 a day on food. You want a snack? How about a $45 burger? Even outrageous by Swiss standards.

Thought hotel was more grande than it is. It has a very small lobby. Also, don't think you will staying in the original hotel. Most likely you will be in the new annex which might not be a bad thing. Also the view of the lake is more of a side view. If you want a five star quite frankly there are many grander hotels right by the lake which I think would be better if the prices were similar. The pools were surprising small (size of Motel 6 pool) but did look eloquent and sauna was good.

Off the beaten track but worth the spectacular views and tranquility. The restaurant food was average considering the price tag. The bar lacked ambiance and set more for eating than just having a drink. Lugano city about 40 minutes away by car but watch the real heavy traffic at rush hour. Surroundings very pretty recommend Morcote village. Overall a pleasant stay for a few days. Would go back.

Fabulous hotel with stunning views of Lake Lugano. This hotel was absolutely gorgeous. I particularly loved the indoor/outdoor pool in the spa.
The rooms were luxurious with all amenities and high speed internet.
Dining was expensive but delicious. Remember to dress up for dinner - no sandals/shorts acceptable. Breakfast was excellent.
Remember to bring your own bathing suit as the ones in the hotel were pricey.

Great spa and panoramic view over the lake.

The view from the hotel is spectacular. That and the spa area are the two prime reasons for staying here. It's also a great starting point for walks and hikes. The restaurant is good with great service and an above average kitchen. Our only concern was the difficult drive down the mountain to Lugano that made trips to town feel like a major project. That beeing said, an overall pleasant experience.
