One car displayed an appropriate tag, the other did not. Parking like this with no tag is illegal in New Jersey. When I reported this violation to the person at the front desk who should have cared, she did not—more of a shrug than anything. When I proposed that she contact the local police, she refused and suggested that I could if I wanted. In other words, she wanted me to DO HER JOB.
I don't know if this is the policy of the hotel, or the policy of this particular person. Either way, it's wrong. It implies that the only reason those handicapped spots are there is because the law requires it, and they really don't care who parks there (as long as they are paying to stay).

I said to them I needed compensation for food poisoning and they turned out to be pretty careless and ignored my health issue, which made me unable to drive anymore and nearly faint over. The room was BEAUTIFUL! The staff were so accommodating and friendly. The shuttle service to Roselle Park station was great to get in and out of the city. They happily stored my luggage so I can spend a few hours in NYC before my late night flight. And the gentleman in the bar / front desk made me an awesome Long Island ice tea. :). The King size bed was soooo comfortable. I really liked the wood floors and pretty headboard. Will definitely stay again.

The HVAC in the room was a little noisy. We had to be at the airport early, 5am. The shuttle starts at six, but they will arrange a ride with \"Lyft\" for you. Overall, pleased with the stay.

My email and message through their website about the airport shuttle went unanswered and that should've been a clue. I finally got a response through hotels.com messaging and was told if I was unable to phone on arrival to request the shuttle, to message through here or send an email. The message was never answered. They failed to mention the phones within the arrivals area could be used to phone them (the phones state 'Kenilworth Inn'). 2 hours after collecting my luggage I got to my room. It was next to the highway so very noisy, fortunately I was exhausted.
Breakfast was disappointing.
Aside from the shuttle issues and the lack of response, the staff were nice. The room was clean and comfortable.

The staff at the front desk was exceptionally nice. They went above and beyond. However, the two rooms I experienced the phones in the room didn't work. Breakfast, the bread had mold and its the same buffet everyday. The last off-putting thing was they said the restaurants are nearby, they really arent especially when its cold outside. If you're on a budget, the place is okay, FOR ONE NIGHT, but I won't recommend for long stays and I won't be staying here again.

If they give you an ODD room number (highway side), I hope you bring your ear plugs, you will hear every truck and speeding car in the highway all night long.

The staff was attentive, friendly, and helpful. It is not a fancy hotel, but it is a good hotel. It is close to Newark Airport. You can take the rail or drive into NYC from there in a reasonable time. And you cannot beat the price. Good for family stay near NYC if you do not want to pay the NYC, or Hoboken, Jersey City prices. No problem with the Kenilworth Hotel-Airport West.
