Reception staff were very helpful and friendly. We initially had a booking mix up (due to 3rd party site) and the front desk staff were helpful in providing another room for our stay. It was our anniversary and they left us a lovely surprise in our room that we enjoyed and made our stay even more memorable. The breakfast options were delicious. Our wrap around balcony was delightful and provided a beautiful view.

I’ve been to this hotel twice- and it never fails me. The rooms are generous compared to some Parisian hotels. It is in a great location- that has many locals, restaurants, bakeries, small boutiques. The metro is a quick few minute walk. You can enjoy a leisurely walk to the Sacre Cuore, the Louvre. I could stay anywhere, but I think I will always come back to this place.

The shower didnt work in the room- we asked twice if it could be fixed so it didn't immediately flood the whole bathroom. The staff looked confused when we explained and said it wouldnt be possible to get someone out. Not really what you expect when you are paying this much for a room.

Traditional but comfortable hotel

We stayed 2 nights on a trip through France. This is a very traditional hotel with some modern touches. Being an older building the rooms and lift are small and staircase spiral and compact. The room and bed were comfortable and thankfully had modern double glazed windows and air conditioning. Personally I would not bother again with a balcony as the view is just over the bistro on the other side of the road. All staff were very friendly and helpful

The hotel was cute but a lot of it was under construction and a bit of a mess on our floor. Carpet was pulled up and we woke up to people working on construction of the hallway outside our room. Completely understand that they are trying to refresh it but to pay nearly 300 a night for that experience didn’t feel fair. Great staff and I’m sure the space will have a better feel once restored.

We enjoyed our stay at Grand Pigalle Experimental with our two children (ages 11 and 10). The entire staff was amazing. Every time we entered or exited the hotel, we were met with a friendly, enthusiastic front desk person who clearly took pride in their job. We were always offered cans of water upon leaving the hotel for the day. The hotel itself is located in a great area, with lots of eating and drinking options nearby. The area is quite loud and hopping in the evening, but we embraced the energy and enjoyed the liveliness. We find the Pigalle area very walkable and it seems very safe (this was our third time staying in this area). The hotel is well maintained and the rooms are what you would expect in terms of size and amenities for Paris. The only downside was the air conditioning in our room only intermittently worked. It was not a huge issue though because it was rather cool for July. Overall, the hotel offered a great experience, and we would definitely consider staying here again.

Mikayla at check in was wonderful and overall a nice stay within a convenient location.

The cafe downstairs is a miss for me - as the waitress staff was very cold and once she checked me in for breakfast, she never looked at me or asked what I wanted to order, until another girl came along.
And even asking for water, she never came back but yet gave the other tables water. So dont know if it was me she had a problem with - but was not a nice experience.

I’ll start by saying I’d definitely come back here - the area is really great if you want lots of good restaurants and bars, and there are so many metro stops nearby, you can easily get to basically anywhere in central Paris.

Our room was a really good size (corner room) and nicely decorated. On arrival it was really clean too. Robes and nespresso machine were a nice touch. The bathroom was a great size and did have a bath, also the water pressure was amazing!

The main issue I had were that our room was not cleaned properly at all during a 3 night stay. On our second day (so after night 1) the bed was made up but bins not emptied, towels not collected from floor, toilet paper and water not restocked etc - literally just bed made and that was it. On the third day (after night 2), we did initially turn down the cleaning service as it came while we were in the room. However when I came back to the room in the afternoon after having been out, a maid was in the bedroom. I said “I’ll come back” (in French) and she stayed in there but nothing AT ALL was done - not even the bed. I raised this with reception, more for info than anything, and bizarrely almost ended up in an argument with their head of maintenance who just didn’t want to accept that standards had fallen short. It was v strange!!

We didn’t try the restaurant downstairs other than for a drink, so can’t comment on the food.

Overall I would return here for the room size and convenience.

My upgraded room was nice, The restaurant - Frenchie Pigalle - was spectacular. However, I wish the hotel had more spacious public spaces. The interior halls were tiny and the location very busy making the hotel feel cramped and noisy. I know the 'stars' in France are more about hair dryers and bathrobes so they don't express accurately the graciousness of a hotel - a comodius lobby, quiet easily traversed hallways, a hotel bar, adequate closet space. I think a 4 star hotel should have all of these things.

Super friendly and helpful staff. Location has lots really good and varied food options (including the hotel’s restaurant!). It’s also close enough to be walkable to many attractions. It’s clean and rooms were comfortable but like most in Paris, on the smaller side. Lobby area is a sofa and shared with the restaurant. So barely any common space but not an issue for us as we enjoyed being out most of the time. Would happily book there again. If you relish quiet, get a higher floor or room that faces the back. If you like the city vibe and feeling immersed in the neighborhood get a street view. We had a room with a street view and one to the back. Both had advantages- street offered a fun people watching whereas the back room was chill and the windows could stay open at night.

We had a wonderful stay here. The perfect location, lovely rooms and fab staff.

They emailed a few days before our arrival to check what time we would be getting there to see if we could have the room ready for us- which they did. We were also upgraded to a bigger room which was wonderful and had stunning balconies and views.
The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly and the hotel was truly beautiful with great amenities and a very comfortable bed.
I’ve stayed at their sister hotels before and they are also lovely I could not recommend this hotel or hotel chain enough and will definitely return when I’m back in Paris. My new favourite spot in Paris.

My stay was a Parisian dream. From getting an actual key at check in, to the fuzzy robes, to my balcony overlooking the surreal Parian rooftops- My accommodation was top tier.

Now on to the restaurant Frenchie- the food was spectacular. I had the opportunity to sit at the bar so I was able to see the chefs work. It was amazing how they were able to produce such innovative dishes and keep the work area so clean.

Hotel was really good. Clean overall and close to everything we planned to go to. Only thing is we felt scammed by the front desk when we booked for a taxi. We were told it was gonna be a flat rate of 60 euros to the airport and we thought it was the regular/licensed taxis. Just for us to get a notification the next morning that we are getting charged 70 euros because its a private taxi. At the end of the ride we were charged 80 euros overall and we were shocked and confused with the pricing. Turns out a percentage of that total goes to the hotel as they commission out of it. Completely absurd that we were given a false price and not given a heads up for hidden fees by the front desk.

Welcoming, clean and comfortable hotel in the heart of the vibrant Pigalle district. A slight disappointment for us is that the bar has been changed to a restaurant so there is nowhere to have a relaxing drink in a communal space at the end of a day sightseeing. The staff were very good and did accommodate us prior to the restaurant opening - but not quite the same as the old bar/restaurant. It is true that there are plenty of bars very close by.

A Gem of a Hotel Away From the Tourist Centers

We stayed here one night after a week of touring the Loire valley. We chose the hotel based on its proximity to the Gare du Norde (sp?) since we were taking the Eurostar to London the next day. The reception was, I think, from the manager and he could not have been more gracious and enthusiastic. Clearly he loves his hotel! The room was immaculate and of a nice size for a hotel in Paris. All of the appointments were modern and up to date. We've been to Paris several times in the past and this hotel was the most comfortable of all previous hotels. We would definitely stay here again!

Grand Pigalle is a lovely hotel in a very bustling area where the cool cats hang out. We stayed here for the RWC Final. It is close to amazing restaurants and for me, some of the world's best pastries. The restaurant downstairs (Frenchie) is excellent and worth checking out. My only complaint the Air Conditioning wasn't working at all which meant opening the window and letting in far too much noise until the wee early hours. The rooms are very small but has what you need. A small gym would have sealed the deal. I would stay again if I knew the AC was working. I love the area (save for the noise).

Lovely property in the heart of Paris. Fantastic location with some amazing bakeries within walking distancr, felt we lived the Parisien life for a few days. Only gripe is the size of the lift - it was tiny! Room was lovely and we received a surprise upgrade. Bathroom was lovely and huge but would have been useful to have a full shower screen. Lighting in the room was poor. 4 starts because a few touches missing like providing mugs to make ourselves coffee with the nespresso machine. Would definitely stay there again.

I am tempted to not rate this property so high as I’d be giving away one of the best kept secrets in Paris. Absolutely perfect in every aspect. Staff was great, location is unbeatable. Towels, linens, room accoutrements were all perfect. Quick walk to all areas of Montemarte, Sacre-Coeur, and beyond. Close (but not too close) to the Louvre, but you avoid the cheesy tourist traps. Several exceptionally good restaurants, cafes and pubs within walking distance. Could not recommend more highly.

What a charming boutique hotel. Perfectly located, 2 mins from Pigalle metro. There is an amazing artisan boulangerie next door if you want to grab a coffee and croissant to go.
