We stayed in a sea view suite, plenty of space and fantastic views of the Grand Harbour entrance. The shower was excellent and the room cleaning was done to a great standard. Breakfast was well organised with plenty of choices of food. The bar area was always popular in the evening and live entertainment was available on some evenings. The spa was a great bonus although the steam room and jacuzzi were not as warm as I would have liked. I would definitely recommend this hotel to others.

The staff at the Preluna were excellent, especially Aslam at the front desk. Luckily I saw him on the sidewalk as I was limping to the hotel as I had sprained my ankle and he ran to get me a wheelchair and made sure I had ice. The hotel was incredibly clean. Was noisy during the day with renovations setting off the alarm in my room three times but that won’t last.

The hotel is right on the water in a beautiful area with a long boardwalk close to shops and restaurants. The breakfast was wonderful with outdoor balcony overlooking the ocean. The hotel provides access to the gym, pool, hot tub abd sauna in the adjacent facility. There were renovations going on inside and some noisy construction next door. The staff were very helpful and friendly.

The staff members were great from the young men who took care of my room on a daily basis, to the staff at Reception, to the waiters in the bars and restaurants. The waiters in the Triton Restaurant, where I had two meals each day, went above and beyhond the call of duty.

The hotel has good amenities. I wish I'd been there in the warmer season to take advantage of the outdoor pool which is built into the rocks right on the Mediterranean.

Carpet outside our room did not look as though it was hoovered in the five days we stayed which was a shame as everywhere else seem to be cleaned.

It was centrally located in Sliema. There were plenty of restaurants nearby and within the hotel itself. We had a beautiful balcony overlooking the water and the promenade. Everything was walkable. This is our third stay at the hotel and the only place we will book to stay. The location is perfect, the rooms lovely with excellent views and the staff friendly. I have dairy and gluten intolerances and at breakfast was always provided with soya milk and gluten free bread ( sometimes it took at little while to get it ) Didn't eat at the hotel at any other time but the breakfast was great.

Positive: The hotel itself lovely and clean. The housekeepers are lovely, polite and helpful.
Now the negatives.
If i had known the hotel was a building site i wouldn't have stayed there. The building works starts at 7.15am through to the evening.
The nearby outside pool and private beach are not nearby.
The hotel lacks information boards re the dining facilities, prices, opening times.
The spa facilities are poorly signposted. The stairs to the spa section always have wet floor signs and a towel on the steps, this is a trip hazard for people with mobility issues.

I’m writing to express my deep disappointment with our recent stay at your hotel. When we made the booking, there was no mention whatsoever that the property is currently a construction site. This lack of disclosure is unacceptable, especially given the premium price we paid for what was meant to be a relaxing, high-quality experience.

Instead of the peaceful sea view stay we expected, we were met with constant noise, dust, and disruption. Construction work often began as early as 7:00 AM, making it impossible to rest or enjoy our time. The overall environment was noisy, messy, and far from what was advertised.

To make matters worse, we paid extra for a sea view room, yet the experience was entirely overshadowed by the construction activity. When we raised our concerns with the reception, we were met with no sympathy or support, which only added to our frustration.

Given the misleading nature of the listing, the level of disturbance, and the lack of customer care, we are requesting a full refund for this stay. We would not have booked this hotel had we known the actual conditions.

I look forward to a prompt resolution.

Very much enjoyed the hotel, once again, after our last trip 8 years ago. One lift was out of service the whole time, though, which sometimes caused difficulties. Otherwise, the staff were very helpful and friendly, the food was good and our room was very comfortable. The hotel is in a good location, but there is a lot of building work going on outside the hotel and this didn't always feel very safe.

Check in great and efficient. Room for first bight great except for big threatening german shepherd dog on adjacent balcony. Asked for room change due to fear of dog, unable to accommodate and fairly off hand dity manager came across as dismissive of my fears and concerns. Room changed progressed following afternoon. Reat of stay fine. Building under renovation and therefore noisy (cannot be helped), bathroom cleaning needs improvement. Great location, views and most staff delightful

A superb hotel and room. The balcony overlooked the sea and we were given a free bottle of wine which we sat and drank there. The breakfast included is extremely plentiful and delicious.
The negative is the building work. It started very early between 6:45am and 8:30am each day. We complained only to be told that they did not start until 9am and we must have heard another firms’ building work! But it is clear that they are building on top of the curved block of rooms and a cement mixer was there each morning and a crane everyday.

Long wait for elevators 20min to get to main floor to check out. Employees not very knowledgeable or friendly with the exception room service who were very friendly and smiled. Main restaurant on 13th floor always closed unable to enjoy it. So sad.. Rooms rather small .. balcony (not hotels faults) gave out to much noise and construction work but hotel should have at least advised or given other options. Hotel

We enjoyed the spaciousness of our room, but it lacked comforts such as a chair for each person--We had one.
We enjoyed the nice size kettle for hot tea/coffee. I would have liked a desk or a table for my laptop...that area was taken up by tea center.
I enjoyed sleeping on the mattress provided. My experience fell below expectations.
Transportation access on the other hand was exemplary. Lots of buses to Valetta plus H-on H-off buses stopped right there. Lots of dining variety all around. The buffet is well regarded.
When we were there, the building was surrounded with noisy construction projects. Many guests were discomforted by all the noise.
I just think Preluna could do better as far as improving comfort in their rooms.

The hotel is under construction and we were not made aware of this by anyone prior to our stay. We booked 7 months in advance and our room wasn’t ready the first night. We stayed in a windowless room that had bugs and a horrible shower/sink/bathroom.

The bed and linens were atrocious. One top sheet, horrible pillows. Scratchy sheets and there was sand in the bed our first night , when it should have been freshly cleaned.

The pool was across the street and not clean nor updated. The spa is down the street, around the corner. Nothing is connected to the actual hotel.

Construction started every morning (except Sunday) at 7am. It was horrible and we did not get a good night’s sleep during our whole stay.

I’m usually a very positive person, I am not one to write negative reviews - this experience needed to be documented to let others know. The staff were nice, but had no ability to help us.

We had to move rooms the second day, to the room type we actually booked. They said our room would be ready at 2pm. We show up at 2pm; we were not allowed into the room until 2:45pm. We had an event at 4:00pm and it was very hectic to get ready / move our bags/ unpack/ etc.

I’m really disappointed with our stay. We have stayed at a different hotel in St. Paul’s Bay last year that was rated 3 stars and it was wildly nicer than this hotel.

We had a seaview room on a higher floor and it was excellent. The rooms are sound proofed, we had a balcony with excellent views over the ocean, perfect for sunrise, watching the ferries to Gozo, the incoming and outgoing cruise ships and dozens of yachts and power boats.

There is a shopping mall about 8-10 minutes walk away, the ferry terminal is about 10 minutes walk too. There are several restaurants and bars close by, an ice cream kiosk opposite, plenty of seats to people watch or just sit. The promenade from the ferries to St Julian's is directly opposite, buses to Valletta and Mdina/Rabat run both ways from out front of the hotel.

The buffet breakfast has plenty of variety, we didn't eat lunch or dinner in the hotel.

There is a rooftop bar and separate restaurant for great views.

Our room was clean, comfortable and quiet, the bathroom was spacious however there was little bench room for personal items and one hook for bath towels. Shampoo, conditioner and body lotion are supplied.

I would stay there again.

Beware! Large parts of this hotel are still under construction/renovation. Photos depicted on website are not necessarily accurate. There are workmen and very loud construction noises throughout the day. We had stayed here before and were very pleased so were horrified when we were shown our room on this occasion and it felt half finished with a strong smell of paint. On complaining to the duty manager we were moved to a room in the main (original) part of the hotel and after that point everything was very nice and just as we remembered. Just very disappointed that we had to go through such an awful and upsetting process initially. Thank you to Mr Mifsud again for assisting.

The staff were wonderful, rooms were clean and the beach club was a great addition to the trip. Our only issue was that there was a barking dog in a building next to the hotel…and the dog barks constantly…morning and night. Management has tried to rectify this, but they are unable as the dog is not on hotel property. Aside from this, simply beautiful experience. Great location too!

I have stayed at the Preluna twice before, I love the staff at the Preluna, everyone was always polite and welcoming and friendly. I love the breakfast at the Preluna, it has everything anyone could ask for.
I was suprised that the part of the hotel where I was staying was unergoing renovation, a little dusty in the corridors, my sister and I discovered some dust coming through the vents, oterwuse the room was comfortable, clean, spacious, the hooks in the bathroom are made for taller people and made it difficult for me to use.
I would definitely stay there again, it is located in a perfect location, easily walk to many locations i Sliema.

We loved the hotel room and the staff all round were excellent. We loved the food and its plentiful choices. Only issue we found in room 2113 was the lack of wardrobe space for hanging dresses. This was immediately addressed by the staff with a portable rail which was very satisfactory for us. Biggest disappointment was the lack of poolside cover in the extreme heat. The hotel has been and still is being expanded hence the poolside needs extending in line with development. Building work at the side of the hotel never disturbed us at all. Overall a very enjoyable stay and we intend to return in the autumn.

The employee could lose his job for keeping my diabetes meds a small box in refrigerator. Shower dud not drain in both rooms we rented. Manager allowed to
Keep medicine after I asked to speak with him. I did not enjoy the shower.

Pre Luna perfect location to get out and about . Staff brilliant nothing too much trouble always polite and courteous . We had a twin room with balcony it was a large room and balcony,housekeeping service daily was excellent . Breakfast was delicious with a huge selection to suit all tastes. We will certainly return.

Went to celebrate husbands 38th birthday and requested something small to be completed within the room. Upon entry of our room, they surprised him with a bottle of wine, rose petals and rose petals on the bed in the design of a birthday cake that said, HBD. It was very nice and appreciated!

Only issue we did have is that the AC did not work, but we were satisfied with the ceiling fan as it produced a nice flow above the bed.
