We stayed here the week we were getting married in Valletta. Initial impressions of the room were that it was a little tired and a small shower over the bath seemed inadequate. However, it proved to be both a very powerful shower and comfortable room. The view over to Valletta is spectacular and the quality of the breakfast was a pleasant surprise.
The highlight was the staff, who were always friendly and on hand to answer any queries or solve any problems. They helped make us feel special on the wedding day and throughout the week.
Having stayed in other hotels in Sliema previously, we had not eaten in the OPA! restaurant downstairs but it is one of the best we have found locally and the 10% discount for residents is most welcome.

I can highly recommend staying here, judged by the fact that we have already booked to return for our first wedding anniversary.

Didn't have breakfast at the hotel..we did wake up early one morning to no cold water ,which turned out to effect the whole hotel..This caused inconvenience as we couldn't carry out ablutions or showering until later in the day..
Apart from this,we would return to the hotel again ...

The hotel was tired and some areas needed attention. The room was also tired especially the bathroom. They did offer to change our room but we didn’t want to repack and unpack. The room was a decent size,beds were comfortable. We didn’t have a room with a view but some rooms looked over the bay and Valletta. It was in a good position for ferry to Valletta and for restaurants. We didn’t have breakfast so can’t comment on that. The uber/bolt taxi is a reasonable price from and to the airport. The hotel is basic but comfortable

Location 5-5+, service 4+, conditions of the hotel, 3. Very good location by the Ferry, lots of restaurants, food and drink options, service is also pretty good, breakfast at the top floor is a plus, only the facilities of the hotel is old, elevators are small and slow, but over all, I am happy about my stay.

My room smelled funny (like musty/moldy). The shower head makes the floor of the bathroom flood easily. The elevator almost never worked efficiently.

The best part of this stay was breakfast and the breakfast crew. I would stay here again, but only with more options.

The location for transport, shopping and things to do was perfect. Beyond the front reception area the hotel itself was rather mediocre, but staff did their utmost to look after guests and the room was clean - although the bath had seen much better days. Decor in corridors and parts of the bedroom was shabby but overall the experience was a positive one.

A nice hotel, situated in a busy area with great restaurants. Room and elevator were small but clean and very functional. Staff processed check-in and check-out promptly. Decor was modern and tasteful. A little surprised that they are still using physical keys and not access cards but this was not an issue for me.

I booked a single room. I discover all single bed rooms overlook a shaft service; some of their opaque windows are screwed in; you only breathe you own air through the air conditioning. I tried the 504, 203 and 304. All cheap tasteless and pitiful looking rooms, patched up with poor painting, awful caulking job, no soundproof at all. The manager Sofiane said \"you get what you paid for. I am not upgrading your room\". I never asked for one but this guy should travel more and get some education. Mal educato.

This hotel is just where all tourists go to pick up any Harbour cruises, sightseeing bus, Valletta and Gozo bus and much more. It's in the middle of all restaurants of all budgets. Very helpful, sweet and courteous staff. Unfortunately, my single bed room did not have a sea view. Some next door guests were very noisy low class people. The hotel accepted to keep my luggage for 1 week; who could ask for anything more. Thank you.

Do not book here if you want to sleep peacefully. This hotel allows groups to stay. These are large groups of students who want to stay up all night playing loud music, shouting, screaming, laughing and doing what students do until 6am. On the 1st night I complained to the manager who assured me he spoke to them and it would't happen again. The same thing happened the next night. Completely spoilt my holiday and all I got was an insincere sorry. I can't possibly recommend. Plus the lifts are tiny, old, shaky and feel as if you might get stuck any minute. The breakfast area is on the top floor so unless you love stairs you would have to use them. Phone didn't work in room. Old bathroom.

The photos on the internet are not representative of the hotel. There may be one or two rooms like that, but mine was not. Shabby, broken tiles in the bathroom, poorly lit. Plant growing on the patio. One night the door handle came off in my hand. Internet reception poor, kept dropping out. Reported to the staff three times, but nothing done.

A standard room with a few issues

The staff is very welcoming and helpful and that makes a lot of difference in any travel experience. Although the hotel is a bit aged, it is located right on the waterfront in Sliema, which offers a huge number of cafes and restaurants to choose from. Our room's balcony overlooked the sparkling harbor area, which is beautiful at night. For the money in an expensive area, it is a good bet for travelers.

Hi. To begin with, I have to say that this is not a luxury hotel, BUT we got what we paid for, and the price was more than reasonable.
The staff was lovely and understanding. Some that I should mention are Mariana, Sushma, the cleaning lady on the 5th floor, just the entire staff was very accommodating.
Be aware - the electric plug system is British style. The hotel may give you a loaner conversion plug.
Cheaper rooms do not have access to an exterior window. Which was fine with us. No refrigerator in our room. Other rooms had refrigerator. The TV has a very limited number or channels, most in German.
On the plus side, the internet worked fine everywhere. The water ran OK. There were toiletries and fresh towels, as expected, The bed was clean and comfortable.
The neighborhood is very nice, full of all kinds of restaurants and even a supermarket around the corner with reasonable priced cooked food. Wellbee's. Many tours and cruises just across the street on the shore.
We came in the off-season (late Jan) and there were still full of tourists. The hotel was full every night, that tells you that is OK. I would come back again if back in Malta, Sliema.

When we arrived we received a warm friendly welcome from the receptionists. We had booked an economy room which I wasn't very fond of. The receptionist was kind to show me an alternative room which came with an extra cost. This room is huge overlooking the beautiful view of Valletta.
I strongly recommend paying an extra fee and get an upgrade.
The restaurant food was also very nice and the staff are all friendly.
We would definitely return.

I don’t recommend staying in this hotel with this price, Location is actually good, staff is friendly but on the other side this is very old hotel with no lobby but only a desk and receptionist, First shock is the key of the room which ofcourse not electronic, its very larg key that you have to handle taking it everywhere during your stay, room is fine but the bathroom is not, the bathtube is dirty and very old, the Lift of the hotel is small, old and scary, i think the pictures on Expedia are misleading so i was disappointed for the quality in return of price, maybe it worth half the price paid

This hotel is the best location on the waterfront, where all the restaurants /shopping are and at good price. Some shared amenities were recently updated and beautifully decorated. I absolutely love the brunch location on the eighth floor and the view from the rooftop patio on the ninth floor. Too bad the hot tub was close during winter. my room was clean and well decorated with a lovely balcony (706). Breakfast had many delicious options. Totally recommend!

As a first time visitor to Malta as a single woman, this was a really good place to stay. Everything was convenient and felt very safe. I was there to explore the island for 5 days and see as much as possible. If I was going for a relaxing beach vacation then I would have chosen a different side of the island.
The facilities and staff were excellent. Staff ordered an Uber for my departure.
Can’t fault this place at all.

The hotel is conveniently sited in Sliema among the bars and restaurants. Our room overlooked the harbour and had a balcony with wonderful views.
The room was a bit tired, especially the bathroom and the walls must be quite thin as noise carried especially when party goers returned in the small hours.

Lovely hotel.For a budget holiday, my room was perfect! Right next to the harbour for booking trips. My room was a bit stuffy but for a few quid more, there are other lovely rooms here. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Room was spotlessly clean. Breakfast was your usual european buffet.The view of Valletta makes up for it though. Basic but enough choice. Oggi's, the cafe downstairs makes the most amazing chocolate croissants and other goodies, if you want a budget breakfast. Lunch is reasonable too. Local fresh fish everyday.

My first room was room103, this had an air conditioning fan from the restaraunt next door, very noisy, was assured it would turn off, 11.30 still going, to be fair offered another room (Double) at extra cost but at least it was quiet.

Its a bit dated

So was glad to leave,

The staff were very helpful, apart from the night staff and room 103.

I did suggest making 103 an office and moving the office, suspect that fell on deaf ears

The stay was very pleasant over New Years Eve.

The location of the hotel in Sliema is excellent. Directly outside of the hotel you have multiple bus routes that take you to Valetta, Gozo or Mdina. You are also right outside the Ferry terminal from which you can take quick ferries to Valletta.

The hotel itself may be a little hard to find as it's covered by the front seating gardens of restaurants. You have to watch out for the sign.

The hotel reception is very small - however, the staff are very polite, helpful and always smiling. So are the remaining staff such as the cleaners.

The hotel was also quite expensive for what it was - not sure whether it was to do that it was around New Years Eve.

The room didn't have any windows - however, there was a disclaimer about this before (price probably depends on having a window) as not all rooms have windows. It was quite difficult waking up in a room without windows as it was constantly dark and you had to put the light on first thing in the morning.

The room itself was ok, fairly small and cramped but clean with a decent bed and clean bed sheets and pillows, fresh towels and toiletries. Certain things could be improved such as the bathroom doors and the bathroom equipment could be spruced as it was quite dated but but overall was adequate.

I would recommend this hotel if you want a very convenient location and if you are planning to spend most time outside the hotel

Needs an update - smells like cigarettes

The staff were really helpful and nice and the location was great but my room smelled like cigarette smoke and really could use an update. Don’t pick the cheapest room. It is like a shoebox and there is a “window” into the alley. Also, the sound proofing was terrible and I could hear my neighbors every move which made sleeping difficult.

Location of the hotel is good as is on the sea side in front of the ferries and the bus stops. But to be between a Burger King and a Macdonald is not very Maltese! But, yes you have many options of food just next to the hotel, a little on the tourist side. Front office staff is very professional and friendly, always with a smile, as well as Pierre the manager. Reserve a larger room as the economic ones are very small, no view to anything. We enjoyed breakfast on the hotel restaurant top floor terrace with a beautiful view of the Barbour and of Valletta. Bus service on the island is great and cheap!

We booked a deluxe Seaview with a double bed or queen, we had three single beds in the room and to accommodate us they put two single beds together and call it a double??
Very disappointed. In looking at our reservation from Expedia, it states that we should check with their hotel for bed accommodation.
We should probably just straight made a reservation with hotel revenues and Expedia

Great location obviously...Good for bus connections. Hotel staff all very pleasant and obliging. Room clean with regular change of towels. Sorry to say that the rooms are a bit tired looking and let down by the small things. There was a half inch gap in the laminate flooring in our room (305) The tiling and grouting in bathroom was poor work. There was also a large hole, roughly cut out , in the wall to give access to an emergency cut off tap. A competent tiler would not have left it looking like that. The finish around the bath was not good and the bath had suffered some damage in a few areas too.

I had an \"economy\" room that was VERY economy and too much $$$ for what it was. Smallest bathroom on the planet. Smallest TV on the planet. I knew ahead there would be no window. Had to walk up steps to bathroom....a bit dangerous. Too small to close door or would bang limbs. No full length mirror, which i value.......but the staff was terrific and location cannot be beat....steps to buses, ferries. Tour boats, restaurants. malta is crowded but nice Maltese people.

Very close to all the transport links to Valletta. There is plenty of cafe’s ,bars and shops all within 10 minutes.
The Ferry is best way to Valletta with a cheap return ticket.

The rooms are clean and the Air-Con is very good.

The staff are lovely and always speak to you.

Downsides some of the room furniture is dated.

I would stay again.

I loved having the rooftop with spa looking onto stunning view of Valletta and the harbour below.. The staff were also really nice and many times helped us out with the safe as my friend kept locking us out. The young girl was so nice anout it. The manager was also very nice. I would definitely recommend this hotel. In one of the superior rooms we were on the 3r floor. When returning i would request a room on higet floor.
