Mr Todd Hotel is located just 1 minute walk away from the Sliema seafront, close to bus station and ferries. Each ‘urban-chic' designed bedroom is air-conditioned and fitted with a flat-screen TV.

Everything was very nice and the breakfast was amazing too. But the only problem was at 9:00 a.m. they started working on the rooms on the 2nd floor. There was a continuous banging above us until we checked out at 12:00 am and the building across from us started working on their building at 6:00 am.

Mr Todd’s is a few meters up a hill but very close to the harbour and shops/restaurants. The room was spotless and serviced everyday. Staff were very helpful. Unfortunately there was building work going on so we could not use the balcony and there was no view. No somewhere you would won’t to sit and builders started work very early. That said I would stay here again due to proximity to all amenities and cleanliness.

Friendly and courteous staff. We had a nice, comfortable room. Good shower with plenty of hot water. Bed ok. Would have appreciated having an extra blanket available some nights. Do not like those bed-roll bed cover affairs at all. Might make housekeeping’s job easier, but they are not comfotable for people. I just of medium height, but was unable to completely cover myself at night. Good property location a block from the Strand and close to ferry depot. Bus transport available nearby. Many restaurants close by. Use Bolt taxis to get from point A to B. Fast response of Bolt. Good vehicles and drivers.

I enjoyed my stay here. I stayed the first week of January and the rate was very reasonable. There was a full breakfast. The room size was great. It was close to the ferries and within walking distance to Gzira, Ft Manoel and St Julian’s. There was construction that was loud but I was up anyways and out before it was a nuisance and also returned after they stopped. Glad I stayed it!!!

The location is perfect. Lots of restaurants, bars and coffee shops around. At first glace, the room was clean. But when I looked into the bathroom, it's quite dirty, especially the wall.
I requested them not to enter my room for housekeeping during my stay. They did that for the first two nights, but afterwards, they still entered my room for housekeeping.

Great location - close to bars restaurants, shops and transport hubs - easy access to buses and ferries. Hotel was clean and comfortable and the staff were really friendly and helpful.

I ate breakfast in the hotel a couple of times during my stay and this was excellent and good value.

Would definitely recommend this hotel as a great base for exploring Malta.

In great, quiet location for easy access to ferries to Valletta and buses to other parts of Malta. We got the bus from the airport which dropped us off by ferry stop.. 5 minute walk to hotel. Short walk to bars and restaurants, plenty around. Good breakfast. Staff helpful, arranged taxi back to airport. We stayed 3 nights, room was adequate for our stay.

Room was very spacious with good storage options. Very close to Sliema ferry and bus stops. Good choice of restaurants and grocery stores nearby.

Room was not sound proof as we could hear our neighbors sneezing.
Could use a few adjustments to make it more comfortable - the mattress needs to be changed (too soft and could feel the springs) the TV screen was small and didn't work and toiletries provided weren't great (ie bring your own shampoo and conditioner)

Really nice hotel with restaurant. Everything was perfect. They have very late check in which we needed. There is everything we need including fridge, coffeemaker and coffee supplies. They also gave us an adapter for their system so that we can charge our phones.

Mycket vänlig dam i receptionen.
Läget är perfekt då det ligger på en sidogata nära strandprommenaden, det är tyst.
Rummen är luftiga och fräscha vi hade balkong ut mot vägen högt upp.
De städar/bäddar varje dag.
Frukosten har varm mat, bröd, pålägg, flingor, fil, frukt samt sötebröd, inget saknas.
Priset och frächeten samt det centrala läget är avgörande.

Clean hotel, friendly staff, but loud noises

The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the hotel was very clean. I would say one thing: The hotel room was not well soundproofed, so you could easily hear the neighbors. The noise of the neighbors and the noice of the air conditioning was a disturbance for me and my boyfriend, unfortunately, even though we slept with earplugs.

First, the staff that were nice and helpfull. Hotel allowed us to leave luggage before check-in so we could wonder around freely. We could also leave it after check-out and be in town before we went on our flight. Rooms are spacious and bed was also comfortable. Bear in mind that if you move a lot in bed another person will feel it but we could sleep normally. Breakfast was tasty and had a lot of options. Even if youn do not book your accomodation with breakfast, you can pay it at the reception for the days you wish to have it. Location was perfect with a lot of bus stops, ferry to valletta, and direkt bus to airport nearby. Only downsides would be poor Wi-Fi reception at times and sometimes the traffic was a bit loud. Would definitely reccomend.

Great find, lovely little hotel

Loved this little hotel, great location. Comfortable bed, well appointed room and good shower.
We didn't eat there, but the breakfast smelled great.
The staff were super friendly, and the cleaning was spot on.
Nice to have a fridge in the room too.

Nothing the hotel can do about this but there is a lot of construction going on across the whole town of Sliema, and unfortunately there was a pile driver right outside our balcony which operated from early until late most days.
It wouldn't put us off staying here again, but as an observation for the whole area, if you want a quiet hotel, or you like a lie in, Sliema is probably not for you.

Perfectly located. Many restaurants, cafes and pubs in the area from 2 minutes walking distance. Friendly staff. Good breakfast. Large and newly renovated rooms. Cleanliness in the shower could be improved a little bit with the mold in the corners but overall quite clean. Maybe some shampoo or hand lotion would be a nice touch. 😊 And a bottle of water.

Great Hotel

I really enjoyed staying here. The hotel has a modern aesthetic and felt like it might have recently been done-up. The bed was comfy and the shower excellent. I liked the way my room was very spacious and had a very convenient thing for hanging my jacket on and dumping my stuff on as soon as I entered from trekking around the island all day! The location was great for catching the bus and ferry. I wouldn’t recommend drinking the tap water in Malta but I still used said water to fill up the kettle in the room and I’m okay so far - the tea making facilities were appreciated btw! Breakfast was great and the staff all professional.

The only minus in my experience was that I could not get the aircon to cool the room - in fairness I did not ask the staff for help, but slept with the balcony door open (in March this kept the room cool).

Mr. Todd makes a great home base for exploring Malta. 5 minute walk to ferries, major bus routes and tons of restaurants. Never had to wait more than 3 minutes for a Bolt pickup. Neighborhood felt safe in evening after dark for walk home. Front desk stored our luggage for free in room behind reception.

A nice property in Sliema. A 5- minute walk and you are at the ferry to Sliema. We enjoyed coffee and cake at Lady Todd further up the hill and they have us a discount as guests. Nice and friendly service. I would definitely recommend Mr Todd to anyone interested in visiting Malta.

Wir waren für 2 Nächte im Lady Todd Suites und die Lage ist auf jeden Fall hervorzuheben. In der Nähe sind Bushaltestellen, die Fähre um nach Valletta zu kommen und etliche Restaurants und Bars. Unser Zimmer war sauber und wir haben uns wohlgefühlt. Das Frühstück war zufriedenstellend. Insgesamt können wir das Hotel weiterempfehlen.

Amazing value

Mr Todd Hotel offers amazing value. It is very well located close to all the ferry and bus connections yet on a quieter side street. The room was modern, spacious and clean with a private balcony. The breakfast included in the incredibly low room price was very good. There was Netflix amongst other channels on the room TV. Also kettle, fridge and safe in the room.
The room did have a damp smell but nothing too bad. Sound insulation between the room and hotel corridor could have been better but luckily there wasn't much noise at night. Overall very pleasant stay.

This hotel is a gem. Excellent in every department except the parking. They claim that the “parking is available” on their website, but winning the lottery would be more likely than finding a parking spot on that street. Good news: they have a garage at the basement that saves the day. Bad news: they charge 15 euros per night for it. They should be more transparent about the parking situation.

A good base to see the sights

Excellently located 2 mins walk to ferries and buses Mr Todd is a choice hotel if staying in Sliema. Extremely clean and great breakfast. We stayed here for 13 nights to see the island of Malta with a day trip to Gozo. Using a 7 day unlimited bus pass we went to Valletta most days (15 min) , or somewhere else in Malta such as Mdina. Mr Todd is well priced.

Lovely little hotel

We absolutely loved our stay at the Mr Todd hotel.
The location is terrific. Located just a short walk from the main tourist hub of the area, near the hop on hop off buses and the ferries, main shopping, cafes and restaurant's.
The staff are so friendly and helpful, nothing was a problem for them. We reported a light not working and it was repaired immediately.
Breakfast was a delight! I'd read many reviews on the hotel and most mentioned the breakfast so i expected something good, but nowhere near as good as it was! Cereal, bacon, eggs, sausages, cold meats, cheeses, fresh fruit and the most beautiful freshly baked pastries! With freshly brewed cappuccinos and freshly sqeezed juices, the breakfast would do a large hotel chain proud.
Apart from the tiny little shower that is awkward to get in and out of, the Mr Todd is a great base for a stay in Malta.

Mr. Todd’s was an excellent base for our week in Malta. The superior room (1 upgrade from basic) was spacious and very nice. The staff were extremely accommodating with extra towels for a boat trip, WiFi hotspot for their WiFi temporarily went down, etc. The breakfast was enjoyable and a very nice perk to this property. I’d highly recommend this hotel for their location; walkable to a great many restaurants and bars, and central for Bolt (Malta’s Uber.) Our prices were very fair to several day trips due to Slima being our base.

Only cons I can think of-
1. The pillows were flat and unimpressive, and beds more on the firm side (but not terribly so.)
2. The balcony was amazing to have, but it was only half open. (Think enclosed walkout with a doorframe cutout where the railing is. But this also protected from street noise so it isn’t a terrible thing.)

Overall I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend.

Lovely hotel in a great area close to the harbour in Sliema. Very clean and nice room design. A few tiles in the bathroom needed repair and I wish there was more shade available in the terrace at busy times like breakfast. Maybe a few parasols will help! But aside from that very quiet all night comfortable bed a lovely place to stay if you’re not looking for a place with a pool etc and plan to spend most of the time out and about. Great value for money.

Beds were VERY uncomfortable, woke up sore and in pain for 2 solid weeks. The manager would not allow us to shorten our stay and refund the remaining days. The staff was very friendly, just not cooperative. The hotel was clean and well-kept. The location is really good, close to many restaurants, busses, and ferries. A great Silema hotel close to the ferries

A great hotel, really close to silema harbor/ferriesb and quick access to tour meeting points and all hop on/hop off buses. The room was really comfortable, big, spacious, clean and had good views of silema and parts of st julian. The vreakfast was of top quality and the staff were very friendly. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Mr. Todd and would definitely come back again when I return to Malta 🇲🇹.
