I can't rave enough about the hotel. The rooms were spacious, clean and modern. The indoor pool was incredible. Staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel is situated right across from the ferry to Valletta and bus stops. The only constructive feedback i would give is the in house restaurent is a little expensive. However i appreciate its a captive audience and there are tonnes of options a stone throw away.

We had a full balcony room facing the harbor. This is an excellent view and location. We used the many restaurants and tour companies nearby. 5 minute walk to the Valletta ferry.

The room was clean. The common areas were immaculate.

There were USB-A sockets for powering phones without adapters. The refrigerator, coffee maker and kettle were all helpful for making our long stay more comfortable.

Full stop: the hotel view and location make it an ideal place to stay. We would absolutely stay here again.

However, there were small problems:
- our visit in December meant the climate control was in heat mode: we had to show the staff mosquito bites to get the A/C turned on in order to keep the balcony door shut
- the bathroom has a translucent wall: turning on the light in the bathroom lights up the rest of the room
- the bathroom door has no latch. Not \"didn't latch\" but does not have a latching mechanism or lock.
- there's some sort of sewer gas smell in the bathroom during the day; it seems to not be so bad at night.
- the wallpaper was coming away from the wall in one place
- there was no folding rack for holding luggage; having one would have been helpful: storage space is limited
- no access to a microwave: we had to ask staff to reheat food
- lighting was sort of an all-or-nothing: I used a flashlight/torch to make coffee in the morning
- the room had no full-length mirror

TLDR: the hotel is wonderful and the location superb but imho don't book breakfast or expect much from \"The Living Room\" private lounge.

Full version: this hotel is lovely and overall we are happy we selected it for our 12 day stay.

The \"Lush\" room was nice with a balcony that overlooks the bay and Valletta - honestly the view from the balcony was one of the best things about the room providing your neighbours weren't smoking on their balconies which caused the smoke to drift into your room if the window was open. The wifi was fast enough for streaming.

Breakfast was so below average for this sort of hotel that we stopped going. All of the food on the \"hot\" English breakfast type buffet was cold every time we tried it - literal room temperature at best. We asked for our plates of food to be heated a couple of times but shouldn't have had to. You could also get things like an omlette cooked fresh (with or without cheese were the only options) but then you had cold other bits to go with it or everything was mis-timed.

Of the 12 days we were there - \"The Living Room\" private lounge was closed during the day for 5 days as it had been rented out as a conference room. In the evening - the complementary food was a couple of tiny bowls of stale crisps or nuts and a plate of 12 or so canapés, most of which remained uneaten every night because people had tasted them. The selection of spirits varied every night with vodka, gin, rum and whisky being there seemingly on random days.

This was our 3rd stay. We love the cleanliness, beautiful views across the harbour and a great nights sleep. The minimalistic rooms are to our taste. The location is great and on other stays we’ve felt very valued as customers.

This time we didn’t really like the location of our allocated room. There was a lot of noise from the neighbours and it was very overlooked to the right where just a thin metal screen separated the balconies offering very little privacy. We did mention it to reception but nothing happened. Some foliage on the panels would help towards fixing the privacy problem.

We never ate breakfast at the hotel this time due to only being offered a discounted rate if we committed to the entire 7 day duration. It’s a shame, we know they do a great breakfast but we didn’t want it every day. If we had of been able to get the discounted rate we probably would’ve eaten there at least 4 times.

I don’t know if it’s because we stayed longer this time but we felt attention to detail lacked. Toilet rolls weren’t replenished, towels weren’t always changed when we asked and cups from making tea were still out (I can wash them) but the preparation area wasn’t cleaned.

We did get a nice welcome to our room. It was our 26th Anniversary and we appreciated the card with a nice message and some treats.

We will return to Malta next November but we may be looking for alternative accommodation.

Would’ve liked an outdoor lounging area option but saying that, we were out most of the time. Would recommend and would stay again.

The hotel itself is in a wonderful location. Everything is within walking distance, including the promenade and the ferry to Valletta. There are many options for leisure activities. There's a shopping center nearby. The staff is very helpful and friendly. In our room, the drain wasn’t working properly, and it was clear that it had been repaired before but not completely. Also, keep in mind that there is a busy road downstairs, which can be quite noisy with the windows open, so we had to close them at night. The breakfast is nice, but sometimes it can be a bit chaotic, depending on the shifts. In such cases, you might not find cups for coffee or fruits. But overall, everything is good.

We stayed at the Lands End Hotel in Malta, trusting Expedia’s good rating and choosing to pay extra for a sea-view room. While the hotel’s location and view were nice, our overall experience was disappointing.

Our room was on the 2nd floor directly above the bar and restaurant. It was very noisy—furniture being moved around early in the morning (around 6am) and loud music late into the night, especially when they had a DJ until after 1am on Friday. When we asked to move to a higher floor, the staff said the hotel was fully booked and that we hadn’t paid for a higher floor. I even offered to pay extra, but they said it wasn’t possible.

The hotel later apologized and sent us a bottle of prosecco and chocolates, which was a nice gesture but didn’t resolve the issue. They also told us that the noisy restaurant below wasn’t owned by the hotel, which made the situation even more frustrating.

Housekeeping was inconsistent—sometimes towels weren’t replaced properly, and we had to ask for hand towels several times. The last problem was with an early taxi we booked through the hotel for our 6am flight. Despite confirming multiple times, the taxi never arrived, and we had to quickly order a Bolt to make our flight.

Overall, I wouldn’t rate this hotel as a true 4-star experience. The location and view were good, but the noise, service issues, and lack of accountability made our stay stressful. If you do book here, make sure to request a high-floor room far from the restaurant.

I booked a premium room for 1 night and I was retuning from a week stay in Gozo. The hotel is off the main road and easy to find. The room
Overlooked the harbour and valleta offering a good vista. The staff were nice and welcoming , I had left a bag at the ferry harbour cafe and the team offered to ring the cafe to try and locate it. I could not get an early check in but I felt the staff did as much as they could to accommodate me. The room was clean, the bed large, the washing soaps were off a dispenser which I thought was not what I expected for a top hotel. Water came in hotel branded water flasks in the fridge - I liked this avoiding water plastic bottles and as a bonus the water fountain was outside my room. We had booked breakfast on the hotels.com app but on the booking confirmation it stated it was provided at a fee. The hotel clarified this and it was included. There is a coffee machine in the room with illy coffee pods.. . The resturant attached to the hotel is amazing and if I was staying longer I would have balked a table. The breakfast was good with great tasting sausages.. outside the hotel, is busy but the room was very quiet with excellent sound proofing . There are many resturants, cafes nearby to keep you busy and entertained.

This was a beautiful hotel with clean, quiet, spacious rooms. The pool area, with an expansive view of Valetta, is gorgeous, and the hotel is conveniently located near the ferry terminal to Valetta. It's also a reasonably quick cab ride from Mdina and a less-than-30-minute walk to Balluta Bay. I would absolutely stay here again.

A lovely small hotel on the strand. Our room had a nice balcony overlooking the bay and Valletta. Room was a good size for two, with a comfortable bed and well-appointed bathroom. Note: there is a window between the shower and room to let in the light, but removes privacy. We were on the second floor and could hear chairs scraping at breakfast because the restaurant is just below - ask for a room on a higher floor. Storage space in the room is adequate, and there is a small mini bar and safe. Staff are helpful and friendly. Lots of restaurants and shopping just steps away. Airport is a short 15 minutes away. We enjoyed our stay and would book again.

We had a great stay! The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming from the moment we arrived. Even though we got in early, they kindly stored our luggage and let us check in a bit ahead of time. The indoor pool and cozy living room were highlights—offering free coffee, soft drinks, beer, wine, and canapés throughout the day, plus a great co-working space. Breakfast was decent, but the lunch menu and cocktail happy hour really stood out. Highly recommend staying here!

Great hotel for a few days of sight seeing, very near the ferry point to Valetta. Lovely rooms water fonts available to refill your own or hotel provided container. Bar area has beautiful views over the harbour with a great happy hour and you can also sit there for breakfast with the floor to ceiling windows/ doors opened back. Breakfast has lovely menu options and a good buffet alongside.

Our stay at Land’s End was brilliant, staff always greeted us with a smile and the facilities were abundant yet well maintained. It is in an excellent location that makes it easy to walk anywhere no matter whether you’re trying to sightsee, shop or eat. Uber/Bolt can also pick you up from outside the hotel and it’s just a 20 minute drive to Valletta, which you can see the entirety of from the hotel balcony.

Hotel location is great, lots of good transport options nearby and ubers are very available and cheap to use.
Breakfast was delicious and plentiful and the staff were lovely, couldnt do enough for you.
View from the room towards Valletta and over the harbour was gorgeous.

Only downsides were the noise due to being on the second floor above the restaurant, it was mainly the scraping of chairs on the floor, felt pads on the legs would make a huge difference to this. Could hear the bass of the music playing too and the restaurant is open until 11ish.
Also as it was winter they were centrally setting the temperature, so we couldnt have the room any cooler than 16 degrees which was a bit much for us. There is a road outside and all balconies connected (not very private really) so smoke would come in the room so leaving the door open wasnt an option. The door does block out road noise really well in general though so when you can have the AC on, thats not an issue.

I liked literally everything about this hotel. I had a room on the backside of the hotel and it was so quiet you could hear a pin drop. I slept exceptionally well there. The room was quite comfortable and the bed was amazing- I didn't move!!!
Breakfast was a choice of terrific buffet or a la carte. Very fresh assortment of food.
There are restaurants lining the waterfront so eating out was super easy.
The hotel is also steps away from the ferry to zip over to Valletta. A cab ride to or fro the MLA airport is between €13-15. There is public transportation but I arrived late (dark) and left early (again, dark), so I cabbed it to the airport and used Uber to return to MLA.
The concierges were very professional and helpful. I consulted at least 3 of them and they gave great suggestions.
There is a lovely floor and steam bath in the 11th floor. Bring your suit and enjoy them!

Absolutely loved this hotel. A must ..Book the sea view with the majestic views of stunning Valletta. Location is fantastic with bus stop opposite and Silema Ferry Terminal minutes walk for the short 8-10 minutes crossing.
Enjoyed our breakfasts in Hammett’s Monastik with the fabulous staff Nora, Andrea and Marleny alongside the beautiful harbour view. Just a wonderful stay even enjoyed the small heated swimming pool with small sauna and steam room. Thank you all for a wonderful friendly Maltese welcome..We’ll be back! Regards Colin and Lynn

Beautiful hotel. I requested the 1 bedroom 2 bath suite with a sea view for my husband’s birthday. So appreciate the effort the staff made to make our trip perfect. The view was incredible. Especially loved the terrace overlooking the harbor. We happily spent a lot of time enjoying the room. My only complaint is that the property didn’t have a gym. The front desk told me to go to another hotel nearby for their gym and pay €5. Paying €350 a night, a complementary gym would have been nice. Near perfect hotel. Loved it and hope to come back someday. Thank you!

Hotel and rooms are super clean. I had a \"Lush\" seaview room and the view from the balcony was breathtaking. The rooms themselves have everything you need for a comfortable stay, kettle and coffee pod machine, cups and saucers, wine glasses and tumblers, great selection of teas and Illy coffee pods, hairdryer, UK tv channels and good quiet air conditioning. Bathroom very good size and robe and slippers provided. Outside on balcony is noisy from traffic, but you are in a busy area so you have to expect it, but rooms silent with patio door closed and well sound proofed, didn't hear my neighbours once. I have taken 1 star off because the balconies are not private you and your neighbours can see one another. Room was a little cluttered with a free standing tripod floor lamp that wasn't needed and just got in the way, as well as a tub chair that also took up unnecessary space and got in the way as opposed to being beneficial. However the room, bathroom and the hotel is beautiful and I would definitely stay again.

The hotel was spotlessly clean and modern, our room was spacious. The hallways didn’t have air conditioning so we’re always very hot. The air conditioning and fridge in the room seemed to go off every time you left the room. Could hear a bit of noise from the other rooms, balcony in room was a nice addition but our view wasn’t great, wall adjoining other balconies was wire mesh so not very private. Staff were friendly, short walk to ferry and plenty of eating options near by. But the shopping centre closed at 7.30 which we thought was a bit early. We enjoyed our stay here

Right on the water. Great area, accessible transport able to hop around the island easy. Also 2 minute walk to catch the 2 minute ferry over to Valletta. Perfect.

Great value, great location.

We stayed at this hotel for my husband's birthday and we had a wonderful time. We arrived earlier than we thought but as our room was ready, we were allowed to check in early! The rooms were so beautiful, clean and comfortable and the location was very convenient for access to the ferry for Valetta as well as local shops and restaurants. I would love to stay here again!

We opted to stay at this hotel over others mainly as it had an indoor pool, as it was not really warm enough for outdoor pools at the time of our travel.

Unfortunately the pool area was a real let down - the ‘heated’ pool was freezing cold, the steam room didn’t work and the sauna you had to turn on and off yourself. It was often left far too hot and honestly seemed a bit dangerous. When we asked reception about the pool temperature, they said it was maybe because it had been raining the day previous?! (It was indoors, and the day before was sunny…)

More so the pool area was unsupervised by staff when we were there - so no towels and glass bottles left by other guests for the 2 hours we stayed on the loungers.

The rooms are also pretty poorly designed, with a glass panel meaning you can watch the person you share with shower and use the toilet from the bed. Just what everyone wants for their holiday!

The location is great and the restaurant was nice - I just hope they focus on getting the details right. I would choose somewhere else next time.

I’ve just returned from a trip to Malta and this hotel was perfect when it comes to location and easy access to all of the main sites you’re going to want to visit whilst in Malta. The hotel is in Sliema, this part of Malta is where a lot of the shops and restaurants are. There’s plenty of choice along the road of the hotel when it comes to food options and restaurants. The hotel is on the promenade and has a ferry stop , just a 5 minute walk away which is perfect for travelling back and forth from Valetta, the three cities etc. Travelling back and forth from the hotel to the airport took about 20 minutes during my stay. I am a female and solo travelled to Malta, I felt completely safe during my stay here. The hotel itself was lovely; clean, my room was spacious with a balcony and the staff here were very friendly, helpful and kind. If you’re thinking about booking a trip to Malta, this is a perfect place to stay. Just a friendly trip; download Bolt which is a great app to use to book rides around the city; it’s the equivalent of Uber.

Wonderful hotel. The staff are great - friendly and helpful. The hotel is lovely - the 11th floor pool is really good, and the 1st floor bar very special (reserve a table for the prime views).
Very good food and a great location (Valetta ferry is just across the road).

We really enjoyed our time in Malta.
Lands End Boutique Hotel looks new, the room was clean and very spacious and our suite had amazing views! It is also close to ferry & bus stops, and plenty of shops /
restaurants nearby, very convenient!

The hotel does however have some design / operating flaws. Biggest issue was not having full control of the HVAC system even after calling the front desk. We were first locked into heat only, once we called and asked for the AC to be turned on, we lost the ability of heat at night.
Had a small issue with the toilet constantly running and issues with key cards, but nothing that would ruin a stay.

A hotel that has everything!

Land’s End was a great find. There were friendly staff on arrival and we had a spacious room with a magnificent view of the capital Valletta. The only downside was the noisy road below but that’s to be expected when you stay on a popular strip of the island - the balcony door was pretty soundproof so had no trouble sleeping. The beds were made every day and room was very clean. We made use of the pool facilities, and the hotel restaurant ‘Hammett’s Monastik’ served some of the best food and drink I’ve ever experienced! The restaurant uses 99% local produce and has a seasonal menu - we enjoyed it so much we didn’t venture out to other restaurants because the quality was of such a high standard and the staff were delightful. I believe the hotel is also introducing a bakery in the not too distant future. Overall the hotel experience was excellent, and location wise perfectly situated close to the ferry terminal for trips to Valletta and further afar.

Beautiful new hotel in Sliema! Better than the 5 star hotel I stayed at prior. Beautiful large room, amazing shower, espresso machine and fridge. The heated pool area with sauna, showers and texting music was awesome. Best location close to anything you could need! Do not hesitate to book!

Excellent views (we stayed in a balcony room facing the harbour) in an excellent location with excellent choice of restaurants and beaches nearby. Hotel is very new and has a modern touch. Bed very comfy and shower excellent. But lighting in the room is lacking (in particular, no lighting next to the desk at all) and furniture not very user friendly (eg high desk and low chair - i wonder what the chair is for; the hanging rod in the wardrobe is way too high).

If I could give the Land's end hotel an 11/10 I would! What an incredible stay and experience! The staff are so helpful, answering all the questions we had and giving us recommendations about Malta. Their facilities are incredible and are finished to such a high standard. Waking up to that view everyday was gorgeous and we miss it already. The placement of this hotel is also perfect. Valletta to one side and St.Julian's to the other. Everything so easily accessible with ferry's and buses literally outside of your door. I literally could not sing their praises more. What an overall incredible and unforgettable experience that my partner and I will not forget. We even said on the day we got there that we would come back, and we intend to keep to that! Can't wait to go back 1. To Malta but 2. To the Land's end boutique hotel. Thank you!
