Very enjoyable overall. The one negative item worth mentioning would be the the warmth in one of our rooms. Their AC was not on for the season, as expected. But the room held it's overly warm temperature even with the balcony doors cracked. Not feeling comfortable sleeping with the doors open it made it difficult to sleep.

Staff were the very best: attentive and incredibly friendly. Room was very clean. We were a party of 3 friends: the staff immediately changed the bed from a double to 2 singles before we had even unpacked. Breakfast was so civilised, prepared fresh to order with great coffee served as requested. Pool area is great. One of our party was brave enough to take a swim. Perfect location in a nice quiet area of Valletta. No complaints whatsoever. Oh and filtered water supplied in the room daily

The stay was overall good. The room was clean, although the air was stuffy when we entered the room. The staff was great – very friendly and helpful. We expected more variety at the breakfast buffet (there were no vegetables unfortunately. The pastries were really good, but the cheese/ham section didn't look very inviting). Air conditioner was easy to manage. Kept the room warm and fresh.

We have been here maybe five or six times. There are quite a few familiar faces in the staff - an encouraging sign for a guest. Rooms are clean and well appointed. Breakfast is a mixture of cold food and hot food cooked to order. Very nicely presented, and tasty.
The location is superb. It is a very short walk to St George's Square, but tucked in a quiet part of town.

The breakfast was delicious with a small fruit/bread buffet and several hot menu choices. The location is very good with many restaurants, shops, and sites nearby. The only noticeable improvement would be a replacement of the worn towels otherwise a top notch experience. Highly recommended.

We stayed in the more expensive renovated part of this hotel and it was exquisite. The beds were good but they need to be regularly turned around as one side is high and the other low as that is the side everyone sleeps on. My only other bed comment is that the hotel needs to invest in fitted bottom sheets. The ones they have are not huge and the slip out from being tucked in. Just annoying. Otherwise a first class hotel!

Getting an Uber was always easy as the hotel is well situated in the heart of town. Most restaurants are a 5-10 minute walk away. I definitely would recommend this hotel.

Not a very relaxing start to the day. All the umbrellas on rooftop pool area had been cable tied so you couldn’t open them for shade although this was sorted when I complained to reception thankfully as it would have made the area unusable. Pool bar was poorly stocked and items not replaced when sold out.

A quiet oasis near everything you need!

We loved the Palais Le Brun!! The staff was awesome —especially Ana May at the front desk! The breakfast buffet and a la carte menu (cooked to order breakfast) was delicious! Super friendly staff and always welcoming as we came back from outings each day! The rooftop pool was a welcome relief from the heat each afternoon and the staff up there were super helpful! The hotel is located very close to so many restaurants. Just walk up (steep hill) 3 blocks and over one block and you are at Republic Square and tons of restaurants readily available. We just walked in around 7 and never needed reservations. Our room was small but bathroom was great, air conditioning was awesome, bed was perfectly comfortable and everything we needed. We loved our stay here!

Wonderful 3-night stay at Palais Le Brun 🌟 Firstly, the staff at this hotel are AMAZING. Super friendly, attentive, and would do anything they can for you. We spent some time relaxing in the rooftop pool, having drinks at the bar, etc, and Fatima in particular is a credit to the hotel. First class service from her 👏

Our room was lovely, quiet, and clean. Lovely breakfast, amenities were great - including the gym. It's not huge, but it gives you everything you need to get a workout done 🏃‍♀️

My only complaint was having the same member of staff calling the room abruptly at exactly 11am, to advise check out was at 11am. We split our stay to allow us to spend a few nights on Gozo mid-trip and this issue occurred on both check out days at the hotel.

A slight grace period is provided at any hotel I’ve stayed at before, never mind a hotel of this higher standard and price, and therefore to be called in that manner is not acceptable. I would also consider an 11am check out to be earlier than offered by some local competitor hotels which are Midday. I would respectfully suggest staff members provide a grace period before calling guests immediately at check out time.

Situated in a lovely quiet area of Valletta but close to the town and restaurants and the sea front.
Staff just wonderful especially thanks to the lovely receptionists and Winnie and also the hard working waiting staff serving the most amazing breakfast.
The room was large and lovely but sadly window was tiny with a view to the lower store area but some rooms did have balconies.
The roof top pool and bar was a joy.

Well located in the old city of Valletta, and in a very well done conversion of lovely old buildings. The staff were friendly, welcoming and very professional. Our bedroom was very generously sized with windows opening onto a light well in the centre of the building. One minor criticism was a lack of drawers for clothes that don't hang up. There would have been ample room for a chest of drawers but it meant leaving some clothes in our cases.
The roof terrace area and pool is a great asset.
Breakfast choices were great with a variety to suit all tastes.
Would be very happy to stay at Palais Le Brun again.

Our First Stay in Valetta

The hotel was very good, location was excellent was handy for everything in Valetta. The staff were very helpful and went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. A special treat and surprise was our anniversary treat Rooms and hotel in general was very clean. The breakfast was very good to start the day and big plus was the roof top pool and sun loungers to relax either first thing or after a busy day sight seeing. I would definitely recommend this hotel for your stay in Valetta

Hotel was such a lovely stay. Loved everything. Pictures of the pool look small but it was nice sized for a cool off. The breakfast was wonderful, the staff even got to know my daughter’s name and greeted her warmly each day. So glad we stayed here

We stayed at Palais Le Brun for 6 days in a room with hot tub.The hotel is beautiful and our room spacious and well decorated, the location is perfect central to Valletta. Breakfast was good and staff excellent. The only reason i have scored less than perfect is because we had a few glitches with the cleaning and hot tub.

Wow, where to start? We visited from the 8-21 June 2025. Right from booking to end the staff treat you as royalty almost. The hotel is impeccable, the building is amazing if you like the historic buildings from 15th - 16th century with the huge orange rust color. The walls are just about 2 ft thick from inside to exterior, the stairwell going down to the gym and restaurant are original stone as I can tell, mind you probably fixed up in areas. Staff can and will help you out with anything that is at their disposal, courteous and very nice to talk with, you knew and felt welcome. The food at the hotel is delicious, the sweet french toast is great and beautifully presented and the omelette with everything on it, how I took it, is great. The buffet of the European breakfast is enough on its own. Coffee, one of those fancy machines that grind the coffee and pour to your cup, cappuccino, espresso, americana, mocachino, you get where im going. Walking distance to everything, restaurants, local shops, museums, ferry peer and also the gondolas. Lets just say it’s a beautiful city and country filled with history and dreams if you wish. Hope I didn’t babble on too much.

A beautiful little hotel full of character, in a great position for exploring the city. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The rooftop pool and bar area provided a nice place to chill out after a hot day walking around sightseeing. Breakfast was also a lovely surprise. A great choice of both buffet items and cooked. This elegant 17th Century home had originally been part of the earlier estate of the Auberge D'Italie, one of the langues of the Order of St John. Recent research dates the palazzo back to 1633 when it was used by various knights of Italian descent.

and was then known as Casa Pensa. In 1805, after the departure from Malta of the Knights of St John, the British Governor granted ownership of the palazzo to Sir Giuseppe Nicola Zamitt, for services to the Crown.

In recent years, the present Count of Mont'Alto, a descendant of Sir Giuseppe Nicola Zamitt after whom the palazzo is now named, embarked on a project to enlarge it and restore the entire property to its former glory. Opened in 2018, Domus Zamittello has 21 elegant and comfortable rooms, out of which six suites, five of which are spacious duplexes.

The spacious 125 sq m sun terrace on the third floor overlooks Republic Street, as well as the entrance to Valletta, the Triton Fountain and beyond. Reception service is available 24 hours a day.
