From the moment we arrived the staff were exceptional, so friendly and helpful. Reception, the breakfast waiting staff and the lovely bartender at the pool (who made excellent cocktails!) - every one of them was brilliant. The breakfast was also fantastic, the room beautiful with a great bed and the serene rooftop pool area just what we needed after mornings sightseeing! Don’t hesitate to book this lovely hotel, we didn’t want to leave!

The hotel was nice and in a good location to walk to town. The front desk never had change, which is weird because they have to charge an “eco” tax so you’d think they’d have coins. The room was spacious. The bed a bit lumpy but my husband liked it. The breakfast felt chaotic because it’s a buffet in a small room and you felt you were always in the way. The breakfast choice was ok — most of what you want but nothing special. For example, there was fresh fruit but it didn’t taste in season. You can order off the menu but in the weekend it took a long time to be able to catch the eye of the one person taking orders. For the price, we were a bit disappointed.

Charming hotel on quite street 3 blocks from St. George's Square. Very attentive and polite service from everyone at the hotel. The room was lovely and breakfast service includes cold and hot options (including egg's benedict and full English breakfast). Rooftop bar and pool are a nice option. Great base for exploring Valletta and the rest of Malta. I would recommend both this and it's sister property the Gomerino.

Smart boutique property in good location for best restaurants and away from main tourist (cruise ship groups) area. As of May 2026, there is extensive construction work gong on in the vicinity with associated noise, mainly vehicles reversing and using loud horns, as blocking traffic on a single lane one way street. Views from roof terrace also obscured by numerous cranes. This is temporary but, as majority of local historic buildings are in disrepair, it may go on for some time. This did not spoil our visit as the room, breakfast, staff and general building amenities were great. They deserve a nicer surrounding environment.

I had a wonderful three nights at Palais Le Brun. The hotel arranged a taxi to whisk me away from the airport. The staff were so helpful and friendly! The hotel was spotless and well-maintained. Breakfast was absolutely delicious. There was a continental buffet and you could also order from the à la carte menu. The roof terrace was lovely—peaceful and elegant. The tap water wasn’t drinkable, but I had a glass bottle in my room that was filled daily and I could get more from reception. I would definitely come back again. Thank you for my stay.

There was a good menu choice for breakfast, I tried the Malta specialty which was nice and the Eggs Benedict, there was also a buffet with cold meats, cheese, croissants, cereal etc. Staff were very helpful eg in booking a taxi to the airport but we ere mainly out touring and sightseeing so did not use the other facilities. The Hotel is in an excellent location to walk around Valletta only 10 minutes from the centre, on a bit of a hill but so is most of Valletta.

If you can, get the hot tub room. What a unique experience. Lovely rooftop pool area also.

Small comment would be that the breakfast service could have done with a little more attentiveness. Always felt that something was missing at the table. Either a coffee mug, or a teaspoon, or sugar sachets.

This hotel and all it's staff is wonderful. We had a spacious room with a very comfortable bed . The staff are so gracious. We were welcomed warmly by everyone from reception, breakfast and housekeeping. We even had a lovely recognition of our anniversary.
Our only minor issue was though the room itself was good it was dark with only a small window. But we weren't in the room too much, mostly for sleeping. The location was perfect. We walked everywhere.

This is a lovely small hotel. It is quiet and clean and in a great location. The staff were fantastic throughout and the room was great and breakfast outstanding with all the staff so welcoming and pleasant.
The only minor gripe is with the description in Expedia's page stating that there is a bar. Whilst there is a bar by the pool on the roof, this is only open during the summer and there is no mention of this on Expedia and it should mention this.
However, this was not the end of the world and I would happily recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a really quiet stay only a short walk to some more lively parts of Valletta.

Quaint hotel nestled a stone throw from Straight Street more commonly known as The Gut, where great bars and restaurants are located. The hotel staff are excellent, extremely friendly and helpful. The housekeeping team and serving staff were fantastic. The breakfast was really good with a wide choice between cooked through to continental. There is also a roof terrace with a small pool for catching dome sun or getting some quiet time. The hotel is located close to most appealing places in Valetta.

Lovely big stylish room. 51 right by terrace. Tiny interval courtyard window but excellent lighting. Lots of wardrobe space, queen sized comfy bed, marble bathroom, plenty of towels, coffee machine plus kettle for tea. Supplied topped up daily. Good hairdryer and safe. Nice art on walls.
Spent quite a lot of time on the terrace, wish bar was open, as a lot of guests up there between 4 and 7pm. Apparently it opens 1st May.
Excellent choices for breakfast- 3 interconnected basement rooms, lovely staff, most days I had a full English cooked to order, then fruit, yogurt and gluten free options always available: bread, croissants and brownies. Salad and cheeses plus very processed meat products available. Different fruit juice everyday. Lots of teas including decaffeinated tea.
I did have a refreshing dip in the pool on the roof, it's alright once you get in.
The building is beautiful- it was a pleasure to stay in a 17th century palace, so central for all Valletta has to offer.
The real strength of the Palais is the incredible staff. Many thanks to Leyla, the Queen of reception who makes everyone feel so welcome. Also Ana May and Leizel.
Thank you for your excellent service at breakfast to lovely Marvy, Badel and Kyro, and all the team.
The hotel is sparkling clean throughout and obviously very well run.
The only improvement would be to be able to get food at the hotel.

Breakfast was excellent. It was a great deal included with the stay which included a good selection of cold continental buffet. You were also able to select one hot breakfast from their menu too. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly.

The room was clean however noticed some parts were aging (rust in bathroom) and sometimes dusty in the room. No fault of the hotel but after using the taps or toilet there would be a lingering “sewer” smell.

Overall I would still recommend as the hotel is also within walking distance to the many key tourist attractions/sites/restaurants within Valletta.

Very enjoyable overall. The one negative item worth mentioning would be the the warmth in one of our rooms. Their AC was not on for the season, as expected. But the room held it's overly warm temperature even with the balcony doors cracked. Not feeling comfortable sleeping with the doors open it made it difficult to sleep.

We were a party of 3 friends: the staff immediately changed the bed from a double to 2 singles before we had even unpacked. Breakfast was so civilised, prepared fresh to order with great coffee served as requested. Pool area is great. One of our party was brave enough to take a swim. The stay was overall good. The room was clean, although the air was stuffy when we entered the room. The staff was great – very friendly and helpful. We expected more variety at the breakfast buffet (there were no vegetables unfortunately. The pastries were really good, but the cheese/ham section didn't look very inviting). Air conditioner was easy to manage. Kept the room warm and fresh.

We have been here maybe five or six times. There are quite a few familiar faces in the staff - an encouraging sign for a guest. Rooms are clean and well appointed. Breakfast is a mixture of cold food and hot food cooked to order. Very nicely presented, and tasty.
The location is superb. It is a very short walk to St George's Square, but tucked in a quiet part of town.

Excellent hotel in Valletta! The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well furnished. The staff was very helpful and made some excellent dinner reservations for us. The breakfast was delicious with a small fruit/bread buffet and several hot menu choices. The location is very good with many restaurants, shops, and sites nearby. The only noticeable improvement would be a replacement of the worn towels otherwise a top notch experience. Highly recommended.

We stayed in the more expensive renovated part of this hotel and it was exquisite. The beds were good but they need to be regularly turned around as one side is high and the other low as that is the side everyone sleeps on. My only other bed comment is that the hotel needs to invest in fitted bottom sheets. The ones they have are not huge and the slip out from being tucked in. Just annoying. Otherwise a first class hotel!

My only issue is that the power turns off in the room as soon as your close your door. This was a problem as I brought an electric toothbrush which could not get properly charged AND I could not charge my spare camera battery during the day when we were out

Getting an Uber was always easy as the hotel is well situated in the heart of town. Most restaurants are a 5-10 minute walk away. I definitely would recommend this hotel.
