The hotel is well situated with friendly, helpful staff. The rooms were spacious and had nice modern furnishings- the bathrooms were lovely. My only issues were with the cleaning service that did not vacuum the floors or clean the night table surfaces. Towels were not replaced even when they were wet from the day before (it’s humid in Valletta!) and the hotel had no Kleenex for guests. The shower in my room was designed poorly (open ended) and it was easy to have water overflow in the bathroom. Otherwise a lovely stay.

Starting with reception, we arrived late and were provided with an entry code. Easy enough. The room was so quaint, cleand and large with a lovely balcony.
This boutique hotel is ideally located to walk to the historic sites of Valletta and restaurants or jump on the ferry to Sliema.
Breakfast was continental style. Great bread, cheeses and coffee.
There's free local wine in the evening, very nice touch.
The rooftop terrace was closed due to the stormy weather, but we did have a great view from just outside the room.
The staff was great, our visit was too short but I'd definitely return to this hotel.

Great location. 2 blocks from main area and restaurants. Clean hotel and nice bathroom. The room I had did not have a desk or a lot of space to open suitcase. Ok for 1 person but might be a bit tight for 2.
Staff were very friendly and nice breakfast. Have coffee/tea available all day and serve happy hour wine in afternoon. Love the touches. Would stay again. Thank you!

Staff was courteous, room was fine except it was too hot to sleep in and the thermostat wouldn’t let us change it (we inquired a few times and they explained that due to it being winter, it’s stuck on that temp). I would’ve given more stars except on our first night there I went to utilize the free tea/coffee machine and there were a handful of cockroaches crawling on and around it. It’s an old city, an old building, which I get. But it majorly put me off from enjoying the complimentary breakfast each morning. Or anything else they offer (like the free cookies/cakes that are not covered while being offered.

We were absolutely delighted with the hotel - the staff are very professional and friendly. The breakfast had a lovely range of items and catered for all dietary requirements. The roof area was open and we felt so lucky to have an area to see and watch the world go by on the river, and see the spectacular buildings from this vantage point. A quiet area but an easy ( if occasionally uphill!) walk to all the places we wanted to visit.

This boutique hotel came with much more than was noted. All the staff were helpful and kind. The morning continental breakfast was excellent with a huge spread of offerings. At mid day they provide treats for their guests. In the evening they had free wine and a roof top seating area that had a wonderful view of the Harbor. I would highly recommend this place.
My only critique is the fact that the bathroom is separated by frosted glass if any one uses the bathroom at night it lights up the whole room. I ended up using my phone flashlight so I wouldn’t wake up my wife.

The hotel looks great, wonderful architecture, the staff is amazing. Breakfast is delicious. The complementary wine to see the sunset on the roof top is a great idea. The only down side if I can say that was our room did not have a window, most of the rooms do not, this is because of the building architecture. It was not a problem we were outside all the time.

The location is good for Valetta, close but out the way for the noise, within walking distance of everything.

I loved everything about this property! The cute little snacks, the staff were SO nice (one even found me a blanket when I got cold). The only thing I disliked is that it is very dark, with no windows looking out, but that's probably just the room I got, as it was last minute. Overall, would highly recommend!

This property is amazing. It is very clean and the rooms are so spacious. The location is ideal for walking around Valletta and getting the ferry to Sliema. The staff are so friendly and so willing to help with any issues. Overall it is an excellent hotel and i would definitely recommend it.

My wife and I had to spend an extra night in Malta due to a death in the family. The staff was very good to deal with. They allowed us to to drop off our luggage 5 hours before our check in time, that was very helpful. The room was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. We stayed at 19 Rooms penthouse suite which has a terrace, kitchenette (stove no microwave). Really good breakfast included - cold cuts, cheeses, different baked goods, some vegetables and fruits, eggs, etc. Coffee/cappuccino available any time; wine offered late afternoon. Hotel has a beautiful terrace with great views of the city and Sliema. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful (thank you Matthew, Rita, Monica, Albireo and Humberto). Location is perfect about 10 min walk from Republica street and 15-20 min walk from bus terminal or ferry. Would recommend this aparthotel!

All our interactions with staff members at 19 Rooms were positive. It’s a friendly and welcoming hotel in a great location.
The bed was very comfortable and our room was clean. Air con worked well as did all our other facilities.
The roof terrace gave a much needed view over Valletta which we enjoyed a couple of times.
Breakfast was average in our view - there was nothing great nor terrible and we ate enough each morning to feel satisfied.
Overall 19 Rooms is as we expected, clean,comfortable and well run.

Really enjoyed our stay here. Perfect location, really comfortable room and friendly staff. We also were treated to breakfast and wine/snacks. The only minor issue we had with our stay was the hot water for the shower was very limited, so only 1 person could shower within a couple/few hours. I don't believe this issue was the hotel's fault though as I think a lot of places here have to deal with the same issue. We were able to manage and enjoyed our stay.

I have never stayed 4 star which didn't have a table and chair (for PC), dressing gowns, hair dryer, coffee machine or jug, Did have useless set4 drawers (Ikea?) and mini safe good only for passports. 19 rooms rather boutique like, carved out of steel reinforced old stone building with a great lift which failed 50% of time (we were on the 3rd floor.
On the plus side, big room, bathroom, great Continental breakfast, coffee machine on ground floor, a welcome wine available each day and VERY friendly staff.

We had a great stay at 19 Rooms! Room was very comfortable and breakfast was excellent with fresh ingredients and good choice! Worth noting it is not a cooked breakfast. This did not bother us at all and we really enjoyed it, but just letting others know!

Location wise, the hotel is probably as far as you can get from the bus and ferry terminals but thankfully Valletta is quite small so only a 20min walk max at any point, we liked this as it gave us a chance to see all the city.

Only minor problem in the room was a leaky shower that got the floor wet and then the occasional funny smell from drains. Neither of these had a big impact on our stay and I would recommend this hotel for a stay here!

Really nice place to stay and very convenient for Valletta and the surrounding areas. Really friendly staff and nice breakfast. Plus bonus sweet treats left out in the evening. Room clean and quite large compared with to other hotels in Valletta. Only minor issues is that the room we stayed in was very bright at night as light comes from the centre hallway through the bathroom window and door (both opaque glass panels).

The hotel is conviniently located close to the bay and the upper Barrakka center, so walking uphill for few minutes was a good excercise. We enjoyed great weather during 21-24 December, . Free continental breakfast was incuded, I was surprised by the richness of the breakfast, varaity of good food, nice hospitality. Room very good too.

Don't believe the photos

We booked this hotel because it was one of the more expensive ones available during our dates and because of the nice views. Don't believe the hype. This hotel doesn't offer views.

It's basically a glorified youth hostel. Bathrooms are tiny (literally no room for ANYTHING on the counter), rooms have windows near the ceiling the barely bring in light let alone offer a view, and the front desk isn't even staffed full-time. If you come back at night, you'll be letting yourself in, which is perhaps why the hotel desperately messages you ten times before arrival when you're busy.

I also had a billing dispute with the hotel and they promised to resolve it, but then a manager said they wouldn't. This strikes me as highly unethical to promise something and then take it back. They were full of explanations, but no good ones.

You literally can't even have the included free breakfast unless you order the night before and tell them what time you'll be downstairs. So much for a vacation.

No view, poor condition, nothing nice, no service, and unethical people. I wouldn't stay here again, and my friends were shocked I stayed here the first time.

I have no idea how this place can possibly call itself a 4 star hotel.

We paid €185 per night and the bathroom was mouldy, there were ants, there was a sharp part of metal in the shower - the property has seen better days. When I emailed them about the mould, no one from the hotel responded - I just came back to find that they had scrubbed the mould, taking off a layer of plaster.

Breakfast is also very average. You have to fill in your form the night before and items are pre-prepared and quite poor quality. I asked if they could leave us out some cereal (no service required) as we were on the 6am ferry but the response was that it was not possible.

Neither rooms nor service were great, so I'm not sure what we were paying for. It felt like staying in a very expensive student hostel.

Extremely nice hotel, very helpful and friendly staff. Bedroom furniture is specified at a high level. Maybe another chair in our room would have been good but as we spent such little time in the room it wasn’t a major issue. The location is ideal for the ferry service to Silema, and within walking distance of attractions such as Saint Elmo’s Fort. Valletta isn’t a big city so it doesn’t take long to walk from the Hotel to the city centre.

Nice boutique hotel in a renovated Maltese townhouse. Comfortable bed and clean bathroom but the standard of workmanship is poor - poorly fitting tiles with unfinished grouting and stained cement vanity shelf. Staff were lovely and breakfast was fresh fruit, yogurts, croissants and granola.

19 Rooms was an outstanding boutique hotel in Valletta. The location was in easy walking distance of all the sites in Valletta, as well as a 10-12 min walk to bus pickup points near the Triton Fountain. The location was quiet, the room quaint but very comfortable, the breakfast excellent, and the hotel staff extremely friendly, helpful, and informative. If it were possible to rate this hotel above a 5.0 we absolutely would. We would recommend this hotel for anyone who wants a terrific place to stay in Valletta, Malta!

Recently I had the pleasure of spending 5 days, at the 19 Rooms Hotel in Valleta. The hotel itself fulfilled my expectations in any possible way. Huge room, clean, quite, good breakfast downstairs to start the day with,and tea and coffe available all day long.Sylvia and Steff, the two wonderful ladies they run the place,are there to assist you in everything you need at any time, and they will go out of their way to make your stay as comfortable as possible. I will thouroully recommend 19 Rooms to anyone for a relaxing stay in Valleta.

This is a very nice, smaller hotel in Valleta down by Fort St. Elmo. It is close to some excellent restaurants but in a quieter part of the city. All of Valletta is walk-able since it is so small. The rooms are a nice size and the beds are comfortable. The wi-fi was good but there wasn't a desk in the room. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay here again.

Fantastic Modern Hotel

The 19 Rooms Hotel is a fantastic modern hotel in the edge of Valetta City Centre. The Hotel has rooms located around a central courtyard; as the building is not purpose built the rooms at the back of the hotel are a little small. Although a bit small, rooms are excellently equipped with lovely bathrooms and beds. Breakfast comes in the form of coffee, croissants and fresh fruit.

Service was excellent; special thanks to the reception staff who were incredibly helpful when we needed to seek medical help when my wife turned her ankle.

Perfect for walking to all the sights

Great location. The Hotel even emailed to offer to arrange a taxi from the airport for us in advance of our arrival (€15.20 total) which is a nice service. I liked the modern urban quirky style of the hotel and the nice big bedroom and en-suite with high ceilings. They don’t have any catering facilities, no breakfast, but they do provide some complimentary croissants, a coffee/ tea machine and fruit if you did want to help yourself to something . The coffee machine is there to use anytime, also fruit infused water. The Staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel has a central glass courtyard completely open to let in natural light. The back rooms are off this. The natural light is minimal, one frosted window beside the door and another in the en-suite but nice to get at least some natural light. The down side for us was at night when the outside was lit up, there was a curtain for the bedroom but nothing for the en-suite. The en-suite has a frosted glass door so the light shone into the bedroom, so if you like a dark room bring an eye mask!

Spottlessly clean and LOVE the design! Staff was wonderful and so many neat things to see within walking distance.
