The hotel was very convenient for accessing attractions and dining, around the hotel there was walking distance entertainment around morning till late hours. Truly recommended and would go again given choice.

Fabulous hotel! Perfectly located, and the room was amazing, very spacious, clean and comfortable. Everyone who works there is so friendly, helpful and accommodating. We also enjoyed a lovely massage in the spa and some drinks by the stunning pool. I highly recommend it and would love to stay there again sometime!

The hotel is surrounded by bars; with little soundproofing in the room it was hard to sleep even with earplugs in. Staff was friendly, but amateur, continuously forgetting things like towels and coffee. The room could have been better maintained as well, with odd smells coming form the dresser and backwash coming up in the shower.

The rooftop pool was amazing and one of the main reasons I booked this hotel—it did not disappoint! We spent most afternoons up there enjoying the views and the great poolside service. The location is excellent for walking around and exploring Valletta, and I especially recommend a morning stroll to the Triton Fountain.
That said, I would not recommend room 102, as it faces a nightclub across the alley and was extremely loud late into the night. Unfortunately, the hotel was fully booked, so we couldn’t be moved, and the earplugs provided didn’t help much.
Overall, this is a great place to stay in Valletta, but I’d suggest requesting a room away from the Straight street side for a more restful night.

A warm reception. Clean facility. Beautiful location. Unfortunately there was an undeniable sewage stench in the front lobby the entire time. Beyond that it was great.

The only thing I would say in terms of improvements is perhaps to better train the staff at breakfast. The supervisor was good but no one proactively came and asked for coffee/tea orders. The staff were nice, no question, I just think they could be better trained to be more attentive to the visitors. It felt like they had been trained to be attentive to the table cleanliness only (which is obviously a good thing!)
My other observation is that in the evenings the restaurant receives visitors who want to Instagram photos of the beautiful view but the people doing it don’t really consider their impact to the people trying to have a quiet meal right next to their photo taking. It would be good if staff could move the Instagrammers on to a quieter area to allow diners to enjoy their meals and the view in peace.

Overall, this is an excellent hotel in a fantastic location. It offers convenient access to the Three Cities, Sliema, and the Gozo ferry terminals. Key attractions like St. John’s Co-Cathedral, the lively Republic and Merchant Streets, Grand Harbour, Upper Barrakka Gardens, Triton Fountain, and the Valletta bus terminal are all within walking distance. Popular spots such as Mdina and Marsaxlokk are just a short drive away. The rooftop provides stunning views of the Carmelite Church dome and Fort Manoel. The staff are welcoming, and the hotel is well-maintained and clean.

The embassy Valletta hotel was a truly memorable experience, the staff were so helpful, especially Erika at the front desk. They provided complimentary prosecco and pastries for my birthday. I clarified that we had already been staying for three nights, to which she replied, “Why didn’t you say?” – despite it being the second time I had. A complimentary drink was offered after that incident, but it didn’t make up for the repeated unpleasantness and witnessing her argue with other staff in front of guests.
We also had an issue with parking – we were told part of the fee would be waived (as it had been on other days), but realised it wasn’t when we reached the car park in a rush to leave. The hotel apologised over email but didn’t offer a refund.

Very central hotel and comfortable. Nice to have access to the small pool, although gets really busy and not always somewhere to sit. Biggest issue was the noise late at night from Thursday to Sunday, with live music and singing in the streets below. I do feel that should be mentioned on the website.

Minor irritants: refusal to provide a second chair in the room (as if occupants had to take turns sitting…which seems a bit rich at 300 euro/night) and street music from bars until about 11pm on most evenings. We had an issue on the first night, and the receptionist managed to sorted it all out for us once raised. He was very apologetic for something that was out of their control but we’re grateful that he was able to accommodate. In fact the reception team during our stay were great.

Hotel is in a wonderful location. Fortunately, while I was there, they were doing construction on the top floor, where the dining room overlooking the city is located. So I really didn’t get a chance to enjoy that. Also, workers were going up and down the elevator. I guess that they have to do this work during a slow. But, it is a bit disruptive. I have to say the attention from the customer service manager Was not worthy. She connected with me after my check-in and I expressed my concern. The buffet included with breakfast is nice, the rooms are nice, and most importantly it’s a great location that is walkable to everything in old city Valletta. All in all, I enjoyed a nice day, but would likely look at another hotel if I return. I think the construction will be completed towards the end of January. You might want to check with the hotel before you do your booking.

Valletta is worthy of stating several days and this is a great location for all main historic sites. Walking everywhere is easy.

Really good central location and clean modern hotel.. It just missed in a couple of areas for example the pool area needs to be accessed through the lovely rooftop restaurant and it has the effect of making both sunbathers/pool goers and the diners feel a bit uncomfortable. One or two of the Rooftop staff whilst ok seemed a bit brusque and not very well trained. The hotel made a room error in check in but the management dealt with this is an efficient and fair way so it wasn’t an issue.

My husband and I stayed at the Embassy Valletta hotel for two nights in October 2024 as part of our 20th wedding anniversary trip. It is a magical location - I cannot speak more highly of the heated outdoor infinity pool on the 7th floor which overlooks the city. We had a wonderful time on the sun chairs and took full advantage of the poolside food and beverage service. The breakfast is served on the 7th floor as well, and it was a delicious buffet with many options. We also had dinner on the 7th floor and were impressed with the service. In fact, we had exceptional client service in all areas of the hotel and felt truly welcomed by all staff members. I used the gym, which had a wide range of equipment, was properly air conditioned, and had towels and water available. The bed was comfortable and the shower was excellent. with good pressure. The hotel is absolutely in the center of Valletta, so you are in walking distance of a ton of attractions, restaurants and shops. We highly recommend the hotel.

Super cute boutique hotel in the middle of the action with wonderful staff. Unfortunately, we had lots of issues. Anything from housekeeping not replacing coffee and towels to the door card being faulty. Housekeeping eventually got on board and was great after about 2 days, but I think this was largely due to the tips I left. The door card issue meant our door wouldn't lock or unlock without the front desk assisting so we slept in a room that could have been compromised. The front desk couldn't move us because the hotel was full, but they did comp us 2 drinks at the rooftop bar which is a must. Yummy drinks and the view. The staff was great with all of the mishaps, but one unforgivable issue was them not arranging a taxi after we had spoken to two different staff members. The person in the morning was able to scramble to get a taxi there at 4:30am, but it added stress to catching a day trip flight to Sicily. Overall I would stay here and I did very much appreciate the prosecco greeting.

Well kept hotel in the centre of Valletta with very friendly and helpful staff . We wanted to stay in Valletta for the Bianca Notte festival on October 5th . Whilst it was very convenient it was also very noisy outside at night all week into the early hours.In recent years there has been an explosion of bars and restaurants in the small side streets , many with loud music . Whilst popular with many tourists I personally felt the city centre has lost its elegance because of this so would not stay in central Valletta again. But the hotel itself is of a good standard . Pool small . Some issues with housekeeping who kept forgetting towels which was a nuisance but otherwise good . One suggestion for management - the room was extremely spacious but clothes storage limited and only one chair in a double room .

Lovely hotel with rooftop pool. It’s a small pool and loungers can get taken quickly, but if you’re patient then it can be a relaxing way to pass a few hours above Valetta. Comfortable bedrooms.

An excellent stay in Valetta in the prime hotel within the city walls. Staff are all friendly and welcoming. Plenty of food options. Would recommend booking early for the rooftop restaurant as food is divine and doesn't come at a premium, but space is limited. The Embassy Valetta Hotel: Malta’s magic gem! 🇲🇹
The Embassy Valetta Hotel is a Maltese gem! It was our first time exploring this magical country, and we wanted a stylish hotel, well located to explore the best that Malta has to offer. We were so impressed with our stay here - from the friendly staff, to the gorgeous room, and delicious breakfast. The hotel is incredibly well located, right off of one of Valetta’s main thoroughfares, and near to a variety of both touristic, and local, spots. The room itself was comfortable, well appointed and with a large balcony which allowed for airflow in the room. We were visiting in April, but because of Malta’s location right at the bottom of southern Europe, it was warm and so we were glad for this touch. The breakfast is served on the hotel’s contemporary styled rooftop, with panoramic views over Malta, a vista we simply fell in love with. We also appreciated that they served both continental European, and Maltese, breakfast dishes so we could choose what we felt like each day. I would highly recommend this beautiful hotel for your stay in Malta!

Excellent holiday with my family. Great staff, really beautiful rooms, very clean, and a fantastic evening meal on the rooftop terrace. Also, just a perfect location for visiting Valetta and the ferries.
We did however think that the photos flattered the size of the pool and sunbed area- it was much smaller than we thought it would be and there was little cover to shield from the sun. The staff however did their best to find us a bit of shade so again I can't fault them for their attentiveness and being helpful.
A lovely holiday however and I hope we can return sometime!

What a gem! Location is top notch, walking distance to most tourist points in Valletta and surrounded by great eats. Gorgeous boutique hotel, as you walk in it smells like heaven, and you’re greeted with a little Prosecco. The rooms are clean and spacious with comfortable bed/pillows/robes/towels. If you have a balcony it may get a little loud with late night laughter coming from the bars/restaurants (but who doesn’t enjoy a little laughter?). The icing on the cake is the staff … friendly, super helpful, always going above and beyond. Our checkout was at 5am, and knowing we would miss breakfast they had a couple of to go bags for us with sandwich, fruit cup, cookies and juice. Nice touch! Thank you Aleksandar and the rest of the team for playing a part in making our fist time in Valletta Malta one to remember. We’ll be back!

BOOK IT!! Perfect location. Couldn't be happier. Modern, nice amenities, professional and super nice staff. Prosecco and cold washcloth on arrival. 24hr desk, pool, spa, restaurant. Not too big/impersonal and not too small. Beautiful renovation. Given age of the building there may be a layout quirk or two. There is a water station on every floor so you can refill bottles. Booked transport to/from airport thru the hotel and couldn't be happier (we usually do ourselves). For those travelling from the US, we highly recommend this lovely modern European 4-4.5 star hotel. No dedicated concierge but front desk will happily help, couple of stairs on entrance but a glass lift should you need. Our room for 6 nights was fantastic! (terrace sea view jacuzzi) but quite dark; could use brighter lights. Outlets and USB ports appreciated, note there are none in bathroom. The restaurant on the roof is next to the pool. Great view and ambiance but sorry to say food at dinner was underwhleming. Overall, a gem in a very interesting country. Thank you to everyone who made our stay so welcoming.

My Mother and I had a wonderful 4-night stay at the Embassy Valletta Hotel. The staff were extremely friendly, making us feel special from the moment we arrived.
The buffet-style breakfast was lovely, with plenty of options: hot-cooked breakfast, yoghurt, fruit and pastries.
The rooftop pool and sun loungers are a great addition, although this area can get very busy with people using the pool itself as more of a hot tub, as opposed to swimming in there.
The hotel itself is in a brilliant location and central, so you can walk pretty much everywhere with ease.
We also loved the fact that this hotel has partnered with L’Occitane En Provence, providing shampoo, conditioner and shower gel. This is also in line with the hotel's ethos of reducing water waste and recycling.
We will be staying in this hotel again and can't wait for next year's holiday!

Three stars for this hotel is generous. If you are looking for an upscale, comfortable stay with incredible service, stay away. Some of the staff were great but others were incredibly rude. The AC in one of our rooms didn’t work properly for over 24hrs. The sheets were dirty in one of our rooms and the mattresses need to be replaced. They don’t even provide proper face towels in the rooms. More importantly, when items were requested it often took multiple follow up calls to receive them. Trying to turn the lights on and off is like figuring out a riddle…they should provide clear instructions when you check in. Our stay here left us wanting a refund.
The best part about this property is the rooftop pool with an incredible view. I’d recommend staying elsewhere and coming here for a drink.

All that is known is that the building dates back to the early 1600s when Valletta was being crafted by the finest European architects and engineers of the day. The building itself has been in good company over the years – Palazzo Carafa next door was home to Knights of St John Grandmaster Gregorio Carafa, and this early Baroque palace was used to accommodate his key employees and friends.
Our namesake, British poet Samuel Taylor Coleridge, also stayed nearby, and wrote extensively about his time on the island.
