A decent 4 star hotel with good amenities. Friendly, efficient staff and an excellent location. But the soundproofing between our room 402 and 403 was non-existent. Possibly because of the connecting door. Whatever the reason we could hear their 'endless' conversations clearly, the coughing, the hair dyer etc..

Great location just off the main central streets in Valletta. Lovely breakfast, if a little limited. Some great recommendations from the hotel staff. Il Horza restaurant 3 min walk was excellent. Pool and sauna a nice touch as was rooftop bar.

Absolutely lovely hotel in the heart of Valletta close to all amenities and sights. Wonderful rooftop views of the harbour and the canon bastion. Lovely room with balcony overlooking local streets. Super breakfast selection and such fantastic staff. Would thoroughly recommend this hotel as a place to explore this lovely city.

This was a wonderful place to stay in Valletta- beautifully designed throughout, everything was clean, comfortable quiet balcony room, every staff member we met was lovely we were looked after with warm hospitality, the location was brilliant just 2 mins walk from the buzzing “33 steps” with its great food, drinks and atmosphere and moments from the main landmarks, rooftop pool was… invigorating! The view from the Gomerino’s rooftop is like the jewel its crown!

Hotel is in a great location for everything in Valletta and the staff were really friendly and helpful. The breakfast offer consists of a very light and fresh buffet with a hot food menu - we sampled everything on hot food over our weeks stay and were impressed with taste and presentation every time. The staff couldn’t do enough to help. Best restaurant we ate in was iL Horza a 3 minute walk from hotel - small and personal with amazing local food but served to 5star standard with a fab wine menu.
Our favourite trip was taking the traditional boat 3 € over to 3 cities - you can walk round the fort then take a little open air bus around 6€ which is great way to see the cities - great holiday great hotel 👍

The room was clean and well decorated, it felt modern and quality. All staff we came across were lovely, polite and friendly. The hotel was very beautiful, in an old house with preserved original features. The basement pool was tiny but in a lovely setting, the rooftop terrace was pretty and the rooftop pool, but they were closed for much of our stay due to the wind. Breakfast was a small but well thought out buffet with a lovely choice of hot food. Staff were very attentive. Location hard to beat!

This hotel is truly exceptional, the room was spotless, the breakfast was delicious and it is in a fantastic location in Valletta for restaurants and cocktail bars. The staff are excellent and very friendly. Even the prices for drinks out of the in room mini bar are very reasonable for a hotel.

Outstanding hotel, our lovely room on top floor was clean and comfortable with a view over the city. The staff were pleasant and helpful at all times. We watched the NY fireworks from the roof terrace which was amazing.
Overall a perfect position to visit the main attractions in Valletta and also the shops & restaurants nearby.

Lovely staff who couldn’t do enough for us, from the cleaning team, waiting staff, bar staff and reception, everyone served us with a warm smile and plenty of enthusiasm to make our stay wonderful.

Very clean and spacious room. Nice amenities at the hotel and beautiful view from the rooftop terrace. Breakfast was lovely, with lots of choice and high quality ingredients. Hotel was in a perfect location with lots of restaurants nearby and easily accessible to the ferries and bus terminals. Loved our stay would definitely recommend!

Very convenient location in the heart of Valletta. Despite this our room was very quiet. The rooftop pool and view across to the Three Cities certainly has the wow factor. Room was clean and spacious with a very comfortable bed. Excellent breakfast included. Hope to return.

The staff and the area of the hotel were perfect and the rooftop pool was awesome, super convenient. Room service was very good and rooms felt clean and the hotel had a nice vibe and feel.

Areas for growth

The sauna is not really very good and doesn’t give a normal sauna experience

There was quite slow service for breakfast for getting coffee numerous days and often food like the bread was rock solid indicating it was quite old or over cooked or grilled- one morning it was impossible to eat in the cooked breakfast. Given the breakfast was one of the highly rated from other reviews I was surprised by this. There were also limited vegetarian options but the staff were accompanied to remove meat from menu offerings.

The lack of a mirror outside of the bathroom was quite frustrating/ I think proving full body length mirrors would be an amazing addition to the rooms.

Other than that we had a good stay :)

The location of the hotel is right in the heart of Valetta, with all the major sights within walking distance. There are also plenty of excellent restaurants nearby, which made dining out easy.

The staff were very helpful and welcoming throughout our stay. Breakfast was good, with a nice variety of options. The room was on the small side, but it was clean and comfortable.

The Gomerino Hotel is located in the heart of Valletta. Ideal for wandering through the winding streets or visiting all the main sights from. The port is also a short walk away, yet the hotel is on a quiet street.
The Gomerino is a very elegantly styled boutique residence. We enjoyed drinks from the rooftop bar with great views across to the 3 cities and harbour. Breakfast is buffet style with an added menu to order cooked breakfast from but we wouldn’t recommend ordering the full English. The hotel is opposite a large foodhall which has a wide variety of good quality world menus for a quick tasty meal.
Our room, classic double, was a good size for two people for a few nights but I think a larger room would be more comfortable for a longer stay, particularly if you want to store suitcases and have wardrobe space. The room was very clean and the bathroom was a good size for two people - be careful with the very hot water. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful and I enjoyed a lovely massage from Maria during my stay.
Order taxis through the Bolt app rather than using the white taxis.
We look forward to visiting Malta and staying at the Gomerino again.

Lovely Boutique Hotel in an elegant but well modernised building very close to the centre of Valletta yet away from masses of people.
The public areas were extremely pleasant to use, especially the rooftop area with pool, loungers, tables and a fantastic view over the harbour.
Hotel staff were exceptionally pleasant and efficient making everything seem effortless and relaxed.
It all made for a wonderful holiday.

Breakfast was really nice! I particularly liked the fact that traditional Maltese Pastizzi was an option on the menu along with other usual dishes. Also, the location is a plus plus! And the hotel staff was really very helpful and cooperative! We wanted to change our initial room assignment and the hotel staff went out of their way to accommodate our request and moved us into a bigger room within two days. Also, provided us with a fan when requested. Arranged for our early morning airport transfer on our day of return and generally provided assistance with our questions on local shopping, food etc. Highly recommend this hotel. Also, the location is excellent!

What a hidden gem this was! Once checked in we felt that we made an excellent choice for our 3 night stay in Valletta. Conveniently nestled among bars and cafés with walking distance to the famous St Johns Co-Cathedral, the Grand Masters Palace, the Barraka Gardens and more.

The view from the rooftop pool is an Oasis and cannot go without saying for the spa on the lower level with its grotto vibes.

The staff is amazing at accommodating during the stay with a nice breakfast in the AM and 24hr front desk service. They were able to help us with needs throughout the stay such as iron, ice and extra glasses. Not all areas are open at all hours and for us might be the only downside as we were multiple guests at the same hotel and there wasn’t much place to get together outside of the lobby in the evening.

The room was relaxing and got to see both types of rooms (with and without balcony) which were both beautiful.

We highly recommend and would consider staying here again on future trips to Malta.

My partner and I had the pleasure of spending a week at The Gomerino on our recent trip to Malta. We couldn’t fault the hotel at all. The staff were so friendly and helpful and we were so sad when we had to check out. The hotel is in a fantastic location and the facilities are brilliant. A nice, small hotel. Lovely breakfast and lovely rooftop bar and pool area with views over the water. We had a hire car which proved to be a bit of a headache. Lots of road restrictions and parking wasn't easy. Clearer instructions from the hotel on how to navigate Valletta and where to park would be really helpful.

A stunning hotel in the centre of Valletta. The staff were so wonderful and inviting from the moment I arrived. I was fortunate as arrived at 11am and my room was ready. The rooms, hotel facilities including swimming pool were perfect.
The breakfast was tasty and had a good variety of options.
Location is also perfect and Valletta is walkable - it was just a short taxi ride to other locations in the south of the island.

Great stay at the Gomerino. The location is perfect for easy walk to all the main sights in Valletta and lots of cafes, bars and restaurants. The traditional hotel building and rooms are very nice. The rooftop pool is not huge but has a nice ledge within it to sit and admire the fantastic view from the hotel. It should be noted that there are not that many loungers and a few times during our stay we struggled to get a lounger as it was so busy. There was also a lot of loungers taken but where it seemed that the occupant had left their towel to reserve the lounger for a long time.. The breakfast was nice with an a la carte option to order fresh along with a buffet selection. The service at breakfast was very attentive and all the servers were very friendly.

Amazing hotel

The hotel staff were very friendly, polite and professional. They had read their notes to know we were returning guests and they helped mark our anniversary too, which was a lovely surprise. The hotel and all areas and rooms are very clean and comfortable and the rooftop pool and sunbathing area are a great feature. James, Ellen and Raisa deserve special mentions.
The food and drink on offer were lovely and the service was always good.
