the hotel staff here was incredible. we get there to check our bags in and it was the kindest group of people. and my travel partner had a small medical issue and the staff went above and beyond to provide some medical supplies. the kindest and most wonderful people work at this hotel. the room was great. i cannot wait to stay here again. everyone from the bartenders to the room service staff? all incredible. i had a wonder stay here.

Clean decent sized room, the two twin beds are a bit small but it was ok for us. Breakfast is very good with many options. Hells Kitchen restaurant is fantastic for a special evening or a celebration. The menu is concise but the oysters, wagyu meatballs and roasted cod were great.

Check in was smooth, room was quite small to what we’ve usually had and there were hairs in the bathroom. Room was street side on the 8th floor and the noise at night was mental. Other than that, hotel stay was fine. Bed is comfy and perfect easy location for us and what we wanted to do. Hell’s Kitchen also a bonus

Our experience was almost perfect had mine and my son’s casual but clean attire had not been questioned when requesting to dine at Hells Kitchen restaurant. We were initially asked to “go and change” which I found insulting but, after staff and management discussions, we were accepted into the establishment. I found this to be humiliating, especially in front of my 13 y/o son, this is not what one would expect in the year 2026. Had it not been something my son wanted to experience, I would have walked and not given the FOH staff the pleasure of judging or vetting us. I have to add that, when we were actually dining, the waiting staff were exemplary. Everything else about the hotel was perfect.

We had booked a suite and there was three of us . The mini bar was empty there was no bedding or towels for our other guest . We did get them after asking . The hotel has reduced what it offers guests in the executive lounge and allows children . There was no extra America in the bathroom . Mini bar was empty . There was no record player or guitar in our suite and the view was and external view . So overall not worth it anymore

I have stayed here a couple of times and it is a well located hotel that is a bit more roomy than the typical London hotel. I would say that the doors to the bathroom are all style and minimal function. they are thin frosted glass and it doesn't exactly provide the best kind of privacy if you are sharing with another person. Otherwise it is a great place to stay. Good AC (a must in the warm months) and the best are somewhat comfortable. (I am a real princess and the pea about beds.)

Despise first checking into and sleeping the first night in a room where someone had obviously been smoking (they moved us the next day), we thought the room was great. Breakfast great and the location was great. The VIP room was much tinier than the photos indicated with maybe 6-7 tables max that were all occupied every time we went into the room; it wasn't a huge deal for us since we rather explore the city, but there really are people who rather sit in a tiny room for hours drinking free alcohol rather than getting out of the hotel. Otherwise, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

We loved our stay at the Cumberland, it was perfect for a family of four. The underground station is right around the corner, there was always a cab waiting, and the staff is really kind and helpful. Highly recommend for a family vacation. We only had 2 days in London and would definitely stay here when we return. The only downside I can list is the shower - like a majority of hotels now, it’s next to impossible to keep the water inside the shower because there’s not an actual door, just glass on half. But the bathroom was huge, as was the closet.

It is a very busy hotel and they checked us in right away and gave me a free upgrade. I had reserved a twin room but they gave us a large bed which wasn't what I had wanted. But we made it work. The room was large, clean, and there was plenty of tea bags. This may be more of a complaint about hotel room design but I wish nice hotels would stop trying to get interesting with bathroom doors. The frosted glass door is amusing but the slight gap at the bottom sure makes using the toilet feel less than private. Why??? I would say using the lifts is a bit too high tech. I feel like tech bros got involved and not anyone familiar with customer service. Other than that, a lovely stay near a tube station.

Reception seems to vibe all the time. The Sound Bar makes a smashing cocktail and you can use your green voucher to reduce the cost.

I have been a few times at this hotel.
This time the check in was very fast, therefore I was positively surprised.

They are renovating the stage area, therefore there was less space in the hall.

The room was nice, but there was no water available to drink and the bathroom had not been cleaned properly. They need to look into this aspect more carefully.

Overall, I was happy and the vibes and the staff is very nice.

We splashed out on a suite for my birthday and despite being assured that our mini bar would be restocked promptly after they forgot on our first day, it never was. We asked about it twice a day and received the same response that it would be stocked immediately- didn’t happen. This, despite the fact they had dozens of staff milling about in reception doing nothing! We paid for breakfast when we arrived but somehow that never got communicated to the staff on the desk at the buffet. The very rude lady made us feel like criminals as we we’re basically accused of trying to steal breakfast- we were kept waiting whilst she finished a call to someone (on an entirely different matter) before she could be bothered to sort it out. The VIP room closes at 10pm which means you can never use it after the theatre which is quite poor. Would be nice to have a wider range of music in the bar too; the music in the evenings was dreadful.

The lobby had too many smokers. It was the smoke that welcomed us the moment we arrived. Disappointing first impression and I believe this can be controlled for better consideration to non- smokers.

The room was in good condition except the bathroom tub was not gleaming clean to be used for soaking. It was evident when I used my clorox wipes to clean it and it turned brown so I did not dare using it at all which was a waste because I specifically requested a tub to be used after my family's long travel. Plus, the toilet paper holder was cheap, too light to stand on it's own that it kept falling on the floor which was a bothersome and unhygenic and it was already rusty. I feel this little thing did not belong at all with whatever concept Cumberland is trying to pull.

The lighting system is too complicated to remember which switch works for each light. There were just too many switches.

But one thing we appreciate was the complimentary bar drinks and snacks. Also, the buffet bfast we ordered was great for its value.

Location is good being close to Marble Arch and shopping at Selfridges.

Room was a good size and easily fit 3 of us for 1 night. The extra bed requested was small and would only be suitable for a child or anyone under 5ft 8.
Lounge access was incredible and the snacks and drinks were amazing.
Check in took a long time and it was very busy when we arrived - VIP section for the executive rooms but still took longer than expected to get checked in.
Other than that the hotel is in a great location, it’s funky and well maintained and the smell … oh my!! The scent they have throughout the hotel is amazing!!! Loved it.
Great stay and would 100% recommend to others, especially the executive rooms with lounge access - great deal!!
