66 Saint Paul's is set in a recently restored and modernised 17th century palazzo, located in Malta's capital city of Valletta. This beautiful property offers, personalised service and luxurious accommodation, in an architectural gem of a building.
All bedrooms have been individually designed in a classic contemporary style. Where possible, and particularly in the older part of the building, the owners have tried to retain many of the original features, and there are many!
Consequently, all rooms are slightly different both in size and character. Each is perfectly appointed with a writing desk, flat screen TV and Nespresso coffee machines.
Larger rooms have the added benefit of traditional Maltese balconies or private sun terraces. Bathrooms are modern, and all come equipped with a walk-in shower or bath and Molton Brown amenities.
Within the central courtyard, guests and visitors can sit and enjoy the majestic features of the Palazzo whilst savouring a light snack, a glass of wine or a warm cup of coffee. This is an open air courtyard, however boasts of a retractable glass ceiling for duller days.
The breakfast room is located just next to the courtyard, so guests can make use of this space whenever they wish.

Staff were good (especially the night manager). Morning staff could have cleared used plates more quickly at breakfast. Breakfast was good, but shame no hot plates or simple eggs cooked to order available.
We had the cheaper room, which opened out to the inner court yard was as expected, so no complaint. The room was a bit dull looking but ok, it was probably overdue a revamp. The bathroom was grim (room 202) with the shower and around the sink in much need of a deep clean at the very least, if not replacing altogether, I was surprised at how poor it was given the overall hotel rating.
The location is perfect though, so if they could sort the bathroom, I would recommend.

We very much enjoyed our stay at 66 Saint Paul’s. Maximillian, who was working when we first arrived at the hotel, could not have been more helpful. He made wonderful restaurant suggestions as well as gave us a concise history lesson, guiding us toward which sites we shouldn’t miss. The look of the hotel is elegant and grand, even though it is not large. We enjoyed the quality and variety of the breakfast selection and the servers were lovely.
The roof top pool is a wonder, given the age of the hotel/palazzo building, and the view from the pool patio unsurpassed, especially as the sun was setting. Thank you for a memorable stay!

This is the best hotel I have stayed in for a long time - beautiful inside and stunning views. amazing staff, delicious breakfast and nothing was too much trouble. Edwin even paid for my taxi from his personal wallet as I didn't have any cash on me. that is service. we will 100% be back to this hotel. the roof top pool is just stunning and the location is absolutely perfect and the hustle and bustle of the city at night time is just superb.

A wonderful boutique hotel in the heart of Valletta. The staff are beyond helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. They fall over themselves to help their guests. The room (601) and building were clean and comfortable. And the location of the hotel is ideal for getting anywhere you want to go.

It was impossible to open the shutters on the windows as this meant you were in full view of any passing guests and also we were facing the staircase for anyone to see straight into our room through the clear glass . We had to stay in darkness with no natural light or fresh air . The aircon is not allowed to be used at this time of year due to local laws so we got very little sleep as it was hot and claustrophobic . The shower leaked and flooded the entire bedroom when used it.
I spoke to staff who were pleasant but essentially just agreed that these issues are not ideal but said they were fully
booked so no other room available. We were given a fan .
I’m sure the other rooms were lovely but ours was not . We have had very little sleep and are returning home exhausted .

We had a fantastic week staying at this lovely boutique hotel. The room was very comfortable and well equipped with a great view of the area. We enjoyed the breakfast, the helpful staff and the rooftop pool. The spa was a real treat. The area is very convenient for exploring Valletta - everything is easy to walk to. We hope to be back.

My husband and I stayed here for four nights. Our room was amazing! We were in room 601. Stunning view and the room was extremely spacious and very clean. We sat on the terrace every morning and enjoyed the view and had our coffee. The breakfast had a nice selection. All of the staff at the hotel were very friendly and always helpful with any thing we needed. The location was also perfect. Many restaurants and cafes around the corner. All of Valletta is walkable. The ferries are close to see many sights as well. This was our favourite boutique hotel in all of our travels.

Overall, a lovely stay in this small boutique hotel in Valletta. Service was friendly and attentive throughout and the location was great for access to all the sights and restaurants. The breakfast was excellent with a good range of food for a continental buffet. The owner has overseen a fantastic job in creating a beautiful hotel from the remains of an old palazzo.
A few minor items of feedback to improve the customer experience:
- the water in our shower did not drain quickly enough and could flood an area of the bathroom floor
- the sun beds and umbrellas on the pool deck need replacing as two of the umbrellas (of 3) were broken and there were issues with some of the beds.
That said, we had a lovely experience overall and would recommend

Fantastic few days spent here. Our arrival was met with an upgrade to the penthouse which made our break. We were told so much history of Valletta much of which we didn’t know. The staff could not do enough for you and were always friendly and courteous. Had a 1 night city stay during our holiday to Malta. We were made to feel very welcome from the moment we stepped foot into the hotel which continued throughout our stay despite only being there for a night. The room was very clean and we enjoyed a quick swim with the sunset enjoying the view of the port. The location of the hotel is perfect and even allowed us to leave our bags after check out to enjoy exploring the city without carrying our luggage on a hot day.

My stay in 66 St Pauls was brilliant. I have never been to Malta before, so when a business meeting in Malta happened, I took the opportunity to stay another 4 days there. It is always difficult finding a hotel in a place that you have never been to; where do you go? what sort of hotel? will the area be good? will there be local restaurants around? will the staff be friendly and knowledgeable? will the place be clean? After careful consideration, I chose 66 St Pauls and was not disappointed. The hotel is on an typical Valetta street, long, straight, with tall buildings. A small entrance opens up into a grand atrium. Stone walls, marble floors. Immediately greeted by friendly staff, offered (gratis) coffee, and a general chat. Shown to my room, air conditioning and other controls demonstrated. The room was spacious, well decorated, clean. Large clean bathroom with high volume shower, always important. My room had no views, which didn't matter to me. There are amazing views over the grand harbour from the small pool area at the top of the hotel. Breakfast is the only meal the hotel provides, a wonderful continental style breakfast (including cold meats and fish), always beautifully laid out every morning. The hotel is 200 yards from the main street of Valetta (but you don't hear a sound from the street). There are dozens of good restaurants in the immediate area. And lots of Valetta and Malta to explore. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay here, and will stay again next year

This is an exceptional hotel. We had booked room 601 because of its wonderful views from the balcony. The view lived up to our expectations and the room itself was spacious and had room to relax after a busy day of sightseeing. We received an informative welcome from Max at checkin and this friendly approach was received from all of the staff at the hotel. We would say the 66 St Paul’s is in the ideal location for an extremely enjoyable stay in Valletta and if you are lucky enough to get room 601 you will be well rewarded.

I absolutely loved the hotel. The staff were so friendly from the moment we arrived until the second we left. Our flight was delayed so we arrived at the hotel later than expected. As soon as we walked through the door we were shown to a seating area, offered complimentary drinks and left to take in the surrounding. All too often you have to stand at reception to go through the booking in process, not here, far better.
The breakfast was excellent with freshly made pastries, fresh bread and all you could want for.
Staff were so helpful and friendly, giving advice on places to visit and booking what ever you wanted.

It is a unique property as its a plazzo that's been turned into a hotel. Its very clean and the rooms are really large. The breakfast is fantastic. The only criticism I have is when we were there the reception desk was vacant for large portions of the day, so it was difficult to ask questions or get help. Otherwise it was a good stay.

We booked a stay at the 66 St Paul's for our 30th anniversary having seen the fantastic penthouse suite on Expedia. Sure enough the suite and hotel were terrific, sadly we were in Valetta for this summer's heatwave and the lift to the penthouse was not working and wouldn't be for our entire stay. Consequently, the only access to our suite was via stairs to the roof and then up a tiny spiral staircase with uneven steps in 40 degree heat. A gift (bottle of wine or two, complementary spa treatments etc) or the offer of a small partial refund would have been in order I would have thought but nothing was offered and, being very English, we didn't ask. Other than that a lovely hotel with great staff.

The hotel is beautiful and is situated in a perfect location for exploring Valletta. There were plenty of restaurants, bars, and cafes nearby, but the hotel was quiet and street noise did not carry into the rooms. We also very much enjoyed the spa and the rooftop spa. What an absolute gem this hotel is. Right in the heart of Valletta but also very quiet. All the tourist attractions are within a short walking distance from the hotel. The hotel itself is clean and the room we had overlooked the harbour with stunning views. All the staff are very friendly and helpful. George and Mary Kay were the two people we had the most interaction with and they were happy to book restaurants, tours and give general help and advice although as I said everyone was excellent.
