Breakfast and property/room is just good enough to what you paid for (£49-1 night for a double room 2A). Also included parking.

We stayed here for two nights while visiting my mum in hospital. The location was good. From the outside, the hotel looks run down, and the car park to. Once inside its a lot better, clean, looked after and very friendly and helpful staff. The bedroom we had was a good size, a comfy bed though the pillows were a bit firm for me. The ensuite was big with a very good shower. The rooms are dated and could do with updating. The breakfast was lovely with good choices on the menu and it was free. Free parking as well which is a bonus. I would stay again if the need arises.

We always stay here when visiting family. The hotel is well situated for our purpose. The room options are varied as we sometimes need two bedrooms to accommodate grandchildren. The staff are always friendly, and the room rates are always very favourable.

Phoned ahead a couple of days beforehand as and for a top floor room at a quiet end of the corridor but unfortunately we got given a middle floor room with a herd of elephants up above us. The room itself though dated was cosy, comfortable and spacious and we have stayed a couple of times before so knew what to expect it’s just a shame the stompers above made so much noise.

I found getting to sleep more difficult because I was in a room with one of the exterior floodlights just outside the window, so the room was much lighter than I would have liked. I can't fault the staff - very cheerful and attentive.

The roomy bathroom and the large shower was no messing, just on off and temperature, which stayed constant. The Hunter's chicken was the best I had ever had. In its heyday, this was probably an excellent hotel, now looking very tired. Not helped by a car park that appears behind a wire fence because of the sectioned off redevelopment area. I understand the council are not making encouraging noises. This is a shame as there is a lot to like about the hotel.

Very convenient location for visiting Chatham Dockyards & R.E. Museum. Interior, rooms and garden much better looking than initial carpark 60's motel appearance. Light and airy bedroom and bathroom. Single glazed so you might want to ask for a room garden side, away from busy Brompton Road though it is set back.Good size carpark. It was our first time at the KIng Charles Hotel, the staff were very friendly, the room we had was nice and clean. The only thing was we could hear the traffic outside, all night. So we didnt get alot of sleep,as we were woken up alot. Apart from that the hotel itself was excellent. We would come back again, as long as we could have a different room, away from the main road.
